• luciano799 (2/5): Hotel reception unavailable after 20.00 - made reservations at this facility, unfortunately I arrived 1/2 hour late after reception closed due to traffic on Austria’s motorways . Was no means to contact anyone just to scan some codes and you get connected to some answering machine.

• Anne-Kristin (6/5): - I was given two room cards for my single room but only took on with me going out for supper. I was told to use the garage entrance after 8 pm. Unfortunately the key card did not work and I had to wait in front of the hotel for 90 min before a nice security guard let me in. Since it got dark and the area is not pleasant I felt very uncomfortable waiting. On a positive note the breakfast service was very pleasant. But please advice your guest to take always the two room keys and have a faster service to help guest that are locked out of the property.

• Emmanuel (8/5): Fantastic family stay - It was great staying at this hotel. We were on a family holiday and we all loved it. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location ( just about 5 minutes walk to the metro station). Also about 4 minutes to tram stop. Free breakfast which was also good. Nice and welcoming staff.

Avoid unless you're prepared to engage in a dispute with the hotel management if you need to change the dates or cancel the reservation!

• Scott (6/5): - The hotel needs to go through a major remodeling. The carpets are simply disgusting and the furniture is so old. The staff, especially the lady who runs the breakfast are very nice and helpful. But, there is one lady in the reception with a bad attitude that I don’t understand why she is in the hospitality business. This hotel is not in the middle of Vienna and it is very time consuming going back and forth but the trains run frequently and timely but overcrowded. The breakfast was very good and very well managed, but again the breakfast room was super crowded due to peak season.

• Jurek (8/5): Gute Alternative mit kurzen Weg ins Stadtzentrum - Hotel liegt relativ dicht an der U1 mit kurzen Weg ins Stadtzentrum. Leider waren hier im Hochsommer in Wien in einem Hotel ohne Klimaanlage! Der im Zimmer bereitgestellte Wedel schaffte nur wenig Linderung. Ein Zimmer zur Haupstraße mit Straßenbahn ist nicht zu empfehlen, wenn Sie bei offenen Fenster schlafen wollen. Einfaches aber ausreichendes Frühstück mit begrenzter Auswahl.
• Jagjit (4/5): - The property was truly disgusting. The carpets were stained and frayed. The shower was covered in mould and rust. No Tea or coffeee in the room. No sir conditioning. Pitiful fan supplied! Never never will I go there again. I will be speaking to Expedia and asking for my money back. No functioning reception.
• Hilary (8/5): Easy when you know... - The check in closes at 8:00pm so we were provided with details to access a key safe. Things changed so we arrived early before the reception closed. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, but there was no air con so think they will be very hot in summer. Breakfast was excellent. The location is very close to U1 so despite being further out, we were able to quickly get to the centre. When we left, we were told to just leave the card key in the room. We were a little worried if all would work, with no available staff, but it did.
• Jan (10/5): Accommodating and Kind - The hotel is easy to locate and is near public transportation. The hotel staff has been really patient with me as initially I made an error during my booking but were very accommodating when I explained my situation. They tried their best to help me out. Shout out to the friendly and kind staff of Hotel Donaustadt Kragan. Definitely one of the best hotels in the city.
• qmilanx (6/5): It’s okay, but some things need to be fixed - This hotel is ok, but carpet need to be exchanged. Shower is okay, everything’s fine. Metro station is nerby. Breakfasts is good. They have everything there. Coffee and tea is available 24/7 which is very nice. The reception is closing very soon…
• Eda (8/5): - The hotel is in a very good location, close to the metro, and the U1 line takes you directly to the city center in a short time. Thanks to the staff for welcoming us, we asked for rooms with a courtyard view, our stay was quiet and peaceful. The only concern was that the room had wall lamps by the bed, which unfortunately did not work, so it was only possible to use the light from the ceiling lamp in the evenings. There were still a few small things that needed fixing or tidying up, but they didn't interfere with our stay. Breakfast has enough choice to keep you full until lunch. I suggest this hotel, easy to find, easy to travel around.

However, since Expedia didn't give my email address to the hotel, I didn't receive the email. Fortunately, I was able to contact the person in charge through a WhatsApp call, and he gave me the password for the key locker, allowing me to access the room key.
• Brian (8/5): Clean and good value. - Pretty basìc hotel with no water or drinks making facilities in the room, but clean and comfortable and good value for money. Nice buffet breakfast included in room price. Friendly staff and only 5 mins walk to Kagran Platz Ubahn. A bit weird that reception o ly opens at noon but very good arrangements for arriving out of hours.

So when we cracked the window we got a little better air flow, but unfortunately we were situated on the main road so the noise from the cars and trams kept us up. Would not stay here again. Reception closes at 8pm so hopefully you do not have any problems getting into your room after that time.

• Irena (8/5): Great hotel, great price - The location of this hotel is great - it's near U-Bahn and easily acessible by car. Few good restaurants are nearby. Our room was spacious with enough storage space. The carpet should use a more detailed cleaning, but otherwise the hotel is very clean. Breakfast offer is rich, and coffee is excelent. Reception is open only from 12:00 untill 20:00, which is a bit odd for a hotel.

• davidrL4212YQ (8/5): Great - I stayed for one week. The Hotel was exactly what I expected for a 3 star hotel. The room was clean but modest. The breakfast was typical German style which I enjoyed. The WIFI worked well. The location is excellent being about 200m from the Ubahn station.

The cost was very reasonable and this is a very economical option if you don't need to stay in central Vienna. The reception has limited hours but they have a good arrangement for after-hours check in. It would be easier to find if the hotel sign was illuminated. Close to u-bahn and only a couple of stops from V.I.C. (if you nèed to go there). Breakfast was ok and more fresh fruit would be an improvement. Overall a very good hotel for the price.

But the lady on the reception was really very helpful, first she calm down us and then she fix the reservation in the same price without extra costs. The room was very clean and very big. The bathroom separate from the shower.. The breakfast very good.. Everything perfect..I will be back definitely again.

The bad was the sleeping surroundings, the bed was not comfortable at all, the room was too hot even the heater was off, can't sleep because of the tram and the street sounds because the windows are not isolating. Wifi was soo weak and not reachable inside the rooms.

• Benjamin (8/5): Basic accommodation but good value. - Good location, only a few minutes walk to the U1 line. Basic accommodation but good value for money. We were automatically given 2 family sized rooms (for a family of 4 and a baby) but actually only used one which seemed like a bit of a waste of money when we could have got it even cheaper! The shower was a little dirty. Breakfast was nice and the free tea/coffee during the day was a nice touch.

They don't have hair conditioner here, just a multi-purpose hair and body shampoo which is good. Breakfast is nice, yogurt, veggies, bread assortment and an excellent coffee machine that makes all sorts of coffee. The location is average, far from the Vienna you want to see, but the subway is close. Nice to see the Danube while passing the bridge. I am satisfied with the hotel - it's everything as advertised.
