- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent hotel close to UMD campus - Excellent location close to UMD campus. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast selections were very good. Room was spacious with plenty of tables to hold suitcases. Room had mini fridge and microwave. Used the pull out sofa bed. It had a sheet on the mattress, but no additional bedding or pillows for the sofa bed were in the room. The bathroom sink is in the room with the toilet and shower. It is nicer when the sink is outside for other guests to use when someone is in the bathroom.
- Verena (4/5): Nicht mehr - Frühstückszeit wurde exakt eingehalten, um 9:30 Uhr wurde konsequent alles weggeräumt!
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Inna (5/5): - The hotel is not the newest, but overall it seems to be reasonably well maintained.
The breakfast is very limited, with almost no variety. The staff left a very negative impression — this is the first time I’ve experienced employees getting into the elevator with you and completely ignoring you. Even if you greet them first, there is no response. This kind of behavior is simply rude and highly unprofessional.
I would strongly recommend that the hotel management either reconsider their staff or have a serious conversation with them. Greeting guests is a basic standard of service, and it’s surprising that this seems to be overlooked here. Staff should create a welcoming atmosphere, not make you feel like you are in someone else’s home.
Overall, there is a lot of room for improvement, and the level of service could be significantly better.
- Rachelle (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): - Clean and convenient and free parking on sight
- Heather (9/5): -
- Joaquin (10/5): Acogedor y habitaciones amplias y limpias - El ambiente es muy acogedor y las habitaciones muy amplias. El desayuno tiene mucha variedad y dan muy buen servicio.
- Meruyert (8/5): - Nice staff and location. Room and facilities are little outdated tho. Overall, good place.

- Amy (8/5): - Good price. Friendly staff. Nice that breakfast is included. I like that there is water in the lobby. More parking spots in the back lot.
- Paul (8/5): I had an enjoyable stay except for the breakfast. - The location was perfect for me. I'm sorry to say the breakfast did not meet my expectations. I thought it was extremely basic for what I paid for 2 nights. Since I stay in London hotels, which are as basic but get a better breakfast. Apart from the breakfast my stay was fine.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was my fourth extended stay with this hotel. As always, great staff willing to go the extra mile to assist. The breakfast is fantastic and coffee is available 24 hours. Highly recommended.
- Wynn (10/5): Clean. Convenient. Comfortable. - Best Western Plus is my "go to" hotel for all trips to College Park. It is in an excellent location. Always comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. And I love the breakfast.
- Nancy (10/5): Great place to stay when visiting UMD. - So close to campus and easy to get in and out. Happy with everything.
- Erika (6/5): - Our room was clean enough but there was a distinct smell in the hallway…smelled like cesspool. When we reported the smell to the front desk, the staff was very nice and said they would let maintenance know. But, it was as if they knew the smell was there and the complaint had already been filed by many guests.

- helene (8/5): - Stayed Thursday to Friday before Labor Day which must have affected the price —$300 per night. More like a motel interior rather than a hotel, but very comfortable, clean and microwave in room. Great night’s sleep, decent breakfast, definitely walkable to UMD campus.
- Timothy (8/5): - Handy location to campus
- Alessio (9/5): - Available staff, very clean rooms, perfect location near the university The room window is not very soundproof, and the AC is a bit noisy
- Sharon (8/5): - After a 5 1/2 hour drive, I was warmly greeted by Angel, who lived up to her name - she was very helpful and check in was a breeze. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the limited breakfast choices and that there are only fast food options near the hotel. They have onsite parking (free) which was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Great place to stay and enjoying the nearby shops.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): -
- Jutta (8/5): - Es war sehr ruhig und sauber. Das Frühstück könnte etwas besser sein.
Die Freundlichkeit an der Rezeption von zwei Mitarbeitern könnte besser sein.
- Erika (8/5): -
- William (9/5): - Comfortable bed and clean and spacious room. Good location. Helpful staff.
- Dominique (10/5): - desk clerk kind
- Carolyn (10/5): - The hotel and staff are always great
- Susan (8/5): - The bed was comfortable. The area was nice and parking was good. The bathroom seemed unfinished. The tub/shower control was loose so it was hard to maintain temperature and felt a bit unsafe. There was an array for breakfast, but no bread other than white.
- Vicky (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (10/5): The staff were so accommodating and friendly. Very helpful. - Location to UMD. Parking lot is small.
- Bruce (10/5): - All was great.
- Ralph (6/5): - Elevator was broken other than that it was a good stay
- Sara (7/5): Clean and comfortable. - Cannot make a left leaving the hotel
So you have to drive up to the next intersection, make a left into the 7/11 store and then make a right back onto Baltimore Ave.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Eating places
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Dining choices
- Marilyn (8/5): Very good - Location was the best. Outside distractions
- Kevin (8/5): very pleasant and quiet, well-behaved visitors, convenient location - Desk clerks were very welcoming and friendly - smiled and said hello / good morning every time I walked past. None sitting around playing with their cellphones. Breakfast was perfect for me. Lots of options. I'm glad there was the option for stronger coffee. Food tasted fine with no funny artificial aftertaste. Bed had perfect support. TV fine. Shower's water pressure and output good. Toilet really flushes fast and hard! Maids did great job making bed and re-stocking, emptying trash. I re-used towels and bed linen to reduce water waste. Great staff all around. Bathroom fan constantly ran. But couldn't hear it with door closed. The AC had the usual problem: Refrigerated air blowing over me each time it turned on during the night. First night, I awoke every two hours because of the fan going on. Very quiet hotel during my weekend. My first morning the hallway was extremely warm and humid. Turned out that the AC had been turned off that day. On-off buttons on lamps were a little hard to find at first because lamp designs varied. That's trivial tho. Iron and ironing board worked fine.
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): - Very clean
- Jon (6/5): - Stay was ok. Limited parking and unwritten policy on food delivery quite upsetting.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lalitha (10/5): - The staff were simply superb. Kind, thoughtful and helpful
- Elena (5/5): Passable - Proximity to UMD The bathroom needs to be updated.
- TRAVELAGENTNY (8/5): GRANDSON GRADUATION - I booked this hotel for a 2-night stay due to its close proximity—just about a mile—to the University of Maryland at College Park, where I was attending my grandson’s graduation. The location is very convenient, with several restaurants and a CVS within walking distance.
The lobby is small but pleasant, and check-in was quick and easy. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations and facilities. The room and bathroom were both very clean. Housekeeping was responsive in the morning, promptly providing fresh towels, soap, and other essentials.
I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if not for two minor issues: the bathtub/shower was quite slippery, and it had a standard shower curtain instead of a glass door. Additionally, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be a nice touch.
The breakfast exceeded my expectations with a good variety—cereal, coffee, yogurt, pre-made cheese omelets, sausage, bagels, bread, and croissants. I also appreciated the business area, which had two computers and a printer—very convenient. The small gym was an added bonus.
Overall, this hotel was a great choice for a short stay!
- Malavika (9/5): Superb -
- Evajean (6/5): - I didn’t like staying on the 4th floor and the elevator being broken and having to get off the 3rd floor and walk up stairs to get to the 4th floor with luggage!!
- Ashley (6/5): Hmm.... - The location The fact that I could clearly hear the people above me stumping and kids running while I am in my room.
- Elaine (10/5): - close to bus line that was fast way to get to train station, free parking at hotel, excellent breakfast every day, comfortable room, friendly staff.
- Sandrine (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): - Great place close to
- Rahman (7/5): It was a pleasant stay. - Breakfast items could have been reshuffled to include chicken items.
- Junren (10/5): - Good
- Manisha (6/5): - We stayed here for a day because we were visiting University of Maryland. So location is very very convenient, staff is friendly. Rooms are average and breakfast was very limited. Would not stay here again.
- Andrea (8/5): - Very nice and the area pretty good
- Poornima (8/5): Very good - Stay was good
- Kazi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kazi (10/5): Exceptional -
- PETER (8/5): - ROAD NOISE
- Megan (8/5): - Only stayed for one night to visit a family member at UMD, but overall, was great! Would stay here again!
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - CONSTANT NOISE 24/7 FROM bathroom ventilation
- Aamena Mubarak Saeed (6/5): - I’m giving three stars because, while the location felt safe and the overall experience was okay, the bathroom had a strong mold-like smell that was unpleasant and hard to ignore. It really affected the comfort of the stay. If that issue is addressed, the stay would be much better.
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant - Loved the location and the staff they were amazing It's a college town so the noise is noticeable and they like to be college kids so it's right by the street but after midnight it does quiet down
- Verónica (9/5): Superb -
- Yuhua (10/5): - Nice stay . But they service bottle waters as California does .
- Denise (10/5): - Very Clean, Staff was nice but the options for breakfast could have been better. No beef or turkey options
- Michael (10/5): - Nice location close to UMD and great stay. The staff were nice, helpful and pleasant. We liked the early morning breakfast. Overall great value.
- john (10/5): - Great stay, clean olace, dated bathroom is my only complaint. Shower head showing age and not spraying fully
- He (10/5): - Very nice I will come back again
- Sally (10/5): - I had never stayed at a Best Western and we had an amazing an experience! My teenager loved the breakfast options and the room was extremely clean. Our only complaint was the shower pressure but that was a minimal thing overall.
- Melissa (10/5): - We loved our stay at the Best Western! Wonderful touches in our room to make us feel welcome and exemplary customer service!
- Clayton (4/5): No hot water, no overnight parking and charge hold - No overnight parking (full). Was told to park in a lot down the street but move it by 730. No hot water in shower. (Not fun) charged credit card a $150 hold in case we smoked in room (didnt) and said we will get it back in 3 days after checking if we did. So many other hotels on the block. Don’t stay here.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Erika (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, comfy rooms, most of us on same floor Had trouble with door lock and key card…
- eja117 (10/5): Very good stay. Probably an underrated hotel - The staff from Feb 26 and 27 was excellent. JouJou (terrible misspelling) Angel, and the guy were very accommodating and flexible and answered a ton of questions. A large clean room and a clean place. A small but very efficient and power packed little lobby/eating area. Good parking. Well appointed rooms. I didn't notice the exercise room till I left. A fairly short walk to campus. Several restaurants and a CVS and whatnot nearby in walking distance. The train to DC is further away. It's maybe a solid 20 or 30 minute walk, or possibly a 10 minute drive. We would strongly consider going back.
- Raelene (9/5): Easy stay, short walk to UMD - Friendly, accommodating staff. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Excellent proximity to University of Maryland.
- Kathleen (10/5): Just perfect location plus good recommendation for a nearby restaurant - Close to our meeting at Maryland U Like everything
- Monte15025 (8/5): Decent - Breakfast was decent Nothing was bad
- Kevin (8/5): - Breakfast was very good.
- Debora (2/5): - The area was hit with a big storm.. our flight in was cancelled.. the university we were coming to see actually SHUT DOWN for the day… and this “Best” Western refused to budge on their non refundable rate- even to push our stay off for a few days. I get non refundable but nothing ‘best’ about their attitude or customer service.
- Robert (10/5): Nice place to stay. - Fantastic little hotel. Very nice, quiet and clean.
I would've like to have seen some tourist information about the DC and surrounding areas.
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): - Property was very clean, including breakfast area.
- EVER OTONIEL (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Stiles (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and neat the bed was comfortable Nothing
- Abel (9/5): Good experience, I would return to this place. - My group needed a place close to the College of Maryland. It is conveniently located for people that is attending events at the college, like us. We literally walked there. It has restaurants and places to buy groceries nearby, which made it convenient. Although we did not use it, I noticed public transportation passing by this hotel. We do not drive.
Room size and layout were good, bathroom was clean, and did its job. Staff at the front desk were polite and answered all our questions. Although the price per night is very accessible, I think a better job could be done with the food quality of the breakfast. I tried other budget hotels and the food was decent, this one could make improvements.
- Perry (10/5): Exceptional - I love staff very friendly and efficient love the breakfast and the comfortable clean rooms
- Sarah (10/5): Found bag - The staff was exceptional. When a highly important bag was left behind, they found the bag and kept it in the office for us until someone was able to pick it up.
