Guest Reviews
- Cindy (1/5): -
- Gerard (1/5): Terrible - They shouldn’t rent rooms when the place is under construction terrible no TV not happy never again not happy with booking.com. Either they have them on their website and the places like a shit hole. They should’ve paid me to stay there.
- Guest (4/5): -
- Stacey (1/5): -
- Shepard (1/5): - Nothing
- SANDRA (3/5): Disappointed and angry at being charged full price when many amenities weren’t available. - The bed was comfortable. There was no cable tv, no ice machines, pool and hot tub closed, toilet seat loose, never saw anyone at the registration desk and the entire hotel was under construction. None of this was noted on the website. Charged full price even though many amenities weren’t available.
- Lorenzo (5/5): - Location Condition due to renovation and odor
- richard (1/5): cancelled due to construction, will reconsider after construction completed at a later date - property under complete renovation, lot of construction. cancelled stay
- Samantha (1/5): Completely unsatisfied. Nothing stated that the hotel was in such disarray - Nothing Photos were very deceiving. Highly disappointed with how things looked. Under construction. Plastic covering most walls. Caution tape everywhere. No lights outside of the building. Lights and electrical sockets in room didn’t work
- steven (1/5): Terrible we did not stay and demanded a refund !!!! - The building was under construction. No notice was given that tha building was being remodeled and widows were missing on the 3rd and 4 th floors and birds flying inside the building. Why didn't booking.com advise us of these conditions. If Booking .com isn't aware of conditions like this I will not be using them again.
- Liliana (1/5): - Location One Star — Never Again
We were never told the hotel was under construction, which would’ve been nice to know before paying $200 a night. The elevator barely worked and made noises like it was auditioning for a horror movie. We had to switch rooms three times.
The first room’s door didn’t even close ,not lock, but literally didn’t shut. We arrived to find it wide open. The second room’s door wouldn’t open at all, no matter how hard we tried. The third room finally worked, but reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. Every hallway smelled like marijuana, and the entire place felt dirty and unsafe.
Honestly, it gave strong Bates Motel vibes — minus the charm.
- Hayes (1/5): -
- Sarah (1/5): It was absolutely horrible. The hotel is under construction. It should’ve never ever been open. - Nothing There was no heat staff was rude they lied on their website refrigerator didn’t work. The Jacuzzi was out of commission. The entire hotel was under construction. It was the most horrible experience ever I will never ever return.
- Kaylee (1/5): -
- Colin (10/5): -
- Labarbera (1/5): Stay away or wait till after construction - They had availability. That's all. They were under construction. I was never made aware of that. The hot tub was closed. The pool was 60°. The "gym" was un approachable and unsafe. The included breakfast wasn't available due to construction.
The room i stayed in has more holes than imaginable. A fist size hole in the bathroom door. Countless scratches and pencil sized holes throughout the room.
I did call 2 hours prior to check in asking if they could take us early. I cant imagine the room i would have gotten would have been better.
- Allen (3/5): Will not stay at this hotel again. - Proximity to I-95. Major renovations occur g throughout the property which guests should be notified at time of booking. This notification did not occur. Main areas all under construction and no lighting in parking lot at main entrance.
- masterson (1/5): Beware - This place should be condemned. Absolutely disgusting. Should be closed during renovations. Noise started at 7am and got much worse. Stained carpets, unclean , it's like a nightmare. I didn't like anything. Seriously. BBB was notified, it's that bad
- Guest (8/5): my experience was good. hotel was quiet at night. -
- Ashleigh (1/5): Under construction. Do not think this hotel should be open to guests right now - This property is currently under construction. The windows are broken out and covered in plastic. The building appears abandoned at first but is still open. There are mattresses piled up in the parking lot, and furniture as they are renovating. All the doors were blocked open. It looked very unsafe. I ended up booking a different hotel. October of 2025
- Ricky (3/5): - Location Didn't know the hotel was undergoing construction. Much of the amenities were unavailable. Woke up very early every morning by construction workers. When the hotel was booked, listed breakfast included, but that was not the case when I checked in. Parking was a challenge due to most of it being taken up by the construction company.
- Brooke (4/5): It was not the greatest - It was clean It was all broken inside didn’t look like the pictures at all
- Donna (1/5): - Not this place The whole experience
- Me-Shelly (2/5): -
- Lefavour (1/5): -
- Victor (4/5): - The hotel is in the middle of a renovation. The staff was friendly and polite, but the old rooms a really not worth the rate they are charging. The room was clean, but there are some things that are just not working. If the rate were lower, I would not have had an issue.
- Daisy (6/5): - The Staff was nice, but seems like all the rooms are handicap accessible which is nice but for me and my boyfriend it wasn’t. Since the sink is all the way down low the toilet is very small and low. This wasn’t comfortable for a 6ft guy. The room it self is just outdated wasn’t bad. But the doors all had cracks and in need of replacing asap!
- Sylvia (2/5): - Under renovation, maybe. Unclean from inside to out. Desperately needs helps. Staff was nice.
- keith stokowski (3/5): - room / bed comfey I understand that the property is undergoing an overhaul but i arrived at 4 to check in waited for. someone to come to desk 15 min wait.. and i was told that room is still not ready... there were no towels for room.
- Farrah (2/5): - This is the first negative review I have ever written, but this place was so terrible I feel obligated to warn others. The hotel is extremely unsanitary, unsafe, and completely misrepresented. It is directly across from a strip club, and during my short stay there was open prostitution happening in the building. Women were walking the hallways in bras and underwear, and the environment was chaotic and threatening.
There was no staff at the front desk, the room phone did not work, and when I requested to leave through Expedia only six hours after checking in, hotel staff began aggressively banging on my door while I was still on hold with Expedia. Strangely, they immediately answered Expedia’s call — but ignored me when I rang the front desk bell.
The noise was unbearable: people screaming, running up and down the hallways, and pounding on doors. The upkeep of the property is deplorable. This hotel is absolutely not for families, not for anyone concerned with safety, and not for anyone who expects even the most basic level of cleanliness or professionalism.
I refused to spend the night and left immediately. I would never stay here again and strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.
- Delilah (1/5): Management get their shit togethe - Horrible service plans over charge Overcharge
- Bernard (4/5): - Good: The lobby was decent, the gentleman working the desk was very nice, decent price, and the room was clean. Good location.
Bad: The building and specifically our room stunk like cigarette smoke, I still smell it in my nose hours later. The smoke detector was removed from the ceiling. The dungeon downstairs with pool, hot tub, and gym were horrendous!! Doors removed from bathrooms, caution tape across the hot tub which I can’t describe, and I wouldn’t want to touch a thing in the gym of maybe three pieces of equipment. Scary clients hanging out outside. Couldn’t wait to leave, glad only one night stop over.
- Heather (2/5): - Upon arrival there were no more double beds available. Majority of the hotel under construction. People smoking right out side the automatic doors. Lobby smelled like smoke.
Room was just ok. Very outdated. Cigarette burn hole in the mattress pad (visible through the sheets) even though it’s a non smoking room!
- Sylvia (2/5): - I found this to be one of the worst kept hotels I have ever been in.
The hotel is used for intermediate housing and it should be maintained much better since they are receiving government aid.
- Evanna (2/5): - The hotel was being renovated at the time of our stay, and the room that my husband and I stayed in smelled very moldy/ musty! They offered us a continental breakfast in the morning that was lacking a lot of variety!! Will never stay there again!!
- Peter (4/5): - The property is in the process of being totally renovated and they only have the first and second floor available, which is extremely dated. The grounds are horrible. The only positive is it is clean and close to 95.
- Lea (2/5): - The hot tub was drained and pool had so much chlorine it burned your eyes just walking close. Only one elevator worked. The restaurant on-site was closed. The whole hotel smelled of pot
- Robert (6/5): It was the cheapest in the area but now I know why - Location, that’s all Dirty carpets, difficult staff, construction, broken furniture
- Dimitrios (8/5): - Place looks dated
- Mary (4/5): What a Stay - So many unsavory people living there place smells moldy and gross. We could smell weed coming from rooms too late to find something else for just a night. Looked outside the window of our room to see at least 50 mattresses and broken furniture as our view. Horrible place don’t waste your time or money
- Latisha (10/5): -
- Sarai (10/5): - La cama estaba cómoda y la piscina caliente El jacuzzi no estaba funcionando
- Linda (7/5): - Although in room coffee and tea was listed in the amenities, there were no teabags with the coffee service and no tea available at breakfast.
- Guest (5/5): …. - Staying in the room A lot of places were not up to standard the pool was okay ladder was still in pool broken and a lot a lot of caution tape and work that needs to be done. Only staff I seen was one person at checkin I could go on and on
- Tammy (2/5): Horrible - Plumbing was backed up and the room smelled like sewer. We asked the desk to help 3 separate times. Our last night there it was at a or last night there it was at a point that we couldn’t even stay in the room we asked for at least a different room. They said they didn’t have any rooms that they hadn’t been cleaned from the guest that left, but we would be allowed to have a key to go into one of those dirty rooms and use those facilities because we couldn’t use facilities in our room. We ended up checking out at like 10 11 o’clock at night and going to another room another hotel rather
- Guest (3/5): The price of almost $200 a night for the current appearance and condition of the hotel is outrageous. Had there been roo - The location was convenient for the event I was attending. The attendants were pleasant. The hotel appeared to be under active construction or renovation that was not listed on the booking site. The door to my room stuck and seemed ill-fitting. There was a faint smell of urine in the room being masked by an overbearing plug-in air freshener. There were many doors leading directly from the outside left open.
- Bethany (3/5): This was a bad choice. - Not much. Very run down. Not comfortable.
- Maria (1/5): Never again!!! - Convenience and the front person who admitted us that night was great and very helpful. Tried his best to make up for the inconvenience and the bad situation and condition the hotel was in. As we’re coming in, we saw the receptionist working on what looks like a septic pipe. Imagine seeing him walking up to the front desk to receive us. He did wash his hands first but nonetheless the thought that something must be going on in the hotel septic system. We should have seen it as a sign.
Then the elevator was broken. Luckily (?) we were booked on the second floor. Phew! The chair was a totally run down leather, cracked in all places. We didn’t notice it til morning because we did not sit on it. Even a tight budgeted college students will ditch this in the curve and Goodwill will not accept it either. It should go directly to the dumpster!
The nightmare was discovering that the pillow smelled like it was either not changed or someone laid down on it before we came or it wasn’t washed at all. Nothing worse than having to use a strangers’ pillow! It smelled like a drool with a faint smell of cigarette and hair product! Ewww!
- Thaddieus (10/5): - We've stayed here before and for the most part the service was EXCELLENT. One hiccup our first night was the only issue we had and Joe was more than able to resolve it for us.
- Jenna (9/5): -
- Guest (10/5): -
- Kwane (5/5): -
- Jacqueline (6/5): It was okay. Needs a lot of work. Maybe a security guard around the place as well - The staff was wonderful and very pleasant and apologetic about the condition of the property. Its location was perfect for what we were visiting the area to do. I’m not gonna lie and say this property doesn’t need A LOT of work. And they need to update several descriptions in their listings until they have that work completed. It’s very dated and, like, the hot tub had caution tape around it and clearly has not been serviceable for MONTHS; so, its definitely not an amenity that should even be listed on the listing here at booking.
- Diane (10/5): - I thought the property was good. Breakfast choices were great. Service was very good. The only thing I could say that could’ve been a little better would be accommodations for someone in a wheelchair or with a prosthetic.
- Shane (2/5): - This hotel should be closed down. It’s dirty, outdated, and poorly run. I think a homeless family lives there. The pictures online do not represent its current condition.
- Thomas (3/5): - Hotel had 2 broken out windows covered by plastic or cardboard. Parking lot had a car up on jacks missing wheels and another car with plastic covering drivers door window. A homeless person walking around parking lot with carts and bags. Hallway to room smelled like cigarettes. Room sink was falling of wall.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gross - It looked really iffy when we pulled up but it was just for one night so we decided to chance it. First off was greeted by another guest drinking a nip and giving us the finger. Went to check in and the rooms weren’t clean even though it was way past check in time. Dirty, run down, elevator felt unsafe, hallways smelled strongly of pot, cracked bathtub, water damage to wall bad enough that wall felt spongey, handle came off of sink faucet, outside door handle to room was broken, rusty air conditioning unit, cigarette burn hole in bedding. I could go on and on. Felt like a murder hotel or a trap house. Didn’t even bother calling down to complain because they already know they are running a terrible hotel. We left as soon as we could and there was no way I was going to eat the breakfast there.
- Phillip (4/5): - The property was underconstruction and rooms wer musty. The door to the stairs was propped open and no doors to the hallways, so the floors were not secured.
- Kelly (3/5): -
- SquirtJ (5/5): Will book again when renovations are done next summer. Will be much better stay - Not much right now Under renovations right now.. Making major changes
- Guest (1/5): Won’t stay again - Was no breakfast Advertise truthfully. It said the pool was open and the hot tub and neither were working. There was no breakfast
- Tom (2/5): Horrible stay at the Baymont. - Carpet was sticky. No working ice machines. Tub wouldn’t drain, bug crawled on my wife while she was in bed. My handicapped wife had to go up and come back down the stairs-to and from the second floor- because the elevators weren’t working. Hallways were not air conditioned. Wall paper was peeling.
- Slaughter (7/5): Ok stay just - The location It wasn't too clean and it needs updated
- Lynne (1/5): - The room had a bad oder like smoke the refrigerator was not working.
The ac was rusty and noisy..the cabinets were all broken apart....I checked i at above 4.15 walked out at 4.17..didn't stay there.thete was a bunch of homeless hanging around outside...worst hotel..
- Fred (2/5): Poor condition - Hotel was in poor condition. Amenities were horrible or non-existent and room was in disrepair. Not at all what I expect from a Wyndham property.
- Nicole (2/5): - Im sorry the property was umkept felt unsafe at times. The registration desk was friendly and welcoming though. I appreciate the free breakfast as a budgeting option.
- Lauren (7/5): Thank you for the clean room, comfy bed and reasonable price! - Clean room! Ac worked great! Smelled like marijuana, area felt a bit unsafe
- Howard (4/5): wow - Not sure where to start. From the vacant restaurant as the first view from the street, the poorly lit parking lot, the two police cars there with one person handcuffed sitting on the curb, the strong aroma of marijuana emanating from the lobby, broken fixtures and burnt out lights in the hallway, the a/c in the room with a bearing failing in the blower motor, the wallpaper bubbling on the walls, or the sink falling off the wall in the bathroom.
Three stars as visible from the Internet is overly generous. I'm just glad my rental car was still in the parking lot the next day.
I recommend bulldozing and selling the property,
- Cheri (4/5): - We werent expecting high end but certainly thought coming with luggage the elevator would work. Had to climb stairs lifting our own to our room, that smelled old like mildew. The AC was very loud and carpets had stains and were worn out.
First room we were given looked like someone had slept in the bed and there was a hole in the bathroom door. Were kind to switch us but overall not the best experience.
- tanya (2/5): - This hotel desperately needs to be renovated but the biggest issue is there are a lot of active drug users on premises.
- Kristine (4/5): - Old, worn-out facilities. Area around the property and parking lot felt unsafe. Rooms and facilities needed updating!!
- Maruth-Shah (6/5): - The hallways have a very unpleasant smell, maybe because of the carpeting. The lights in the bathrooms were so loud and would go off. The property also smells like smoke and people were always smoking outside. They’re also doing construction inside and outside of the hotel. So hopefully it will get better? The staff was very nice. Overall, the location was convenient, however I would not recommend this hotel in its current condition.
- DEYSI (2/5): - Room clean but halls smell horrendous
Cigarettes
- Timothy (2/5): No thanks - There was a room. The smell of weed. The fact that our door wouldn't lock. The people smoking in the pool area. There was hardly anyone at the front desk ever. The grounds were poorly maintained.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Josephina (1/5): This property is overpriced. - Convenient The chair by the desk was so dirty. The whole third floor is under construction. The bathroom is outdated and not the same as shown in the photos.
- Sinclair (3/5): Poor -
- Matthew (4/5): Couldn’t wait to leave. - Location It’s currently going through a remodel and didn’t have a welcoming feeling. Smoking is allowed right outside the front door which is up wind so all of the smoke entered the front door and down the hallways where our room was located.
- Guylene (4/5): - The property is unkept, looks run down.
- Anonymous (3/5): Extremely disappointing, feeling mislead by the listing on Booking.com - The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked The front desk guy was no where to be found, asked for my name, card and ID, then randomly charged me a second time for the room, then apologized and refunded. Entire place smelled strongly of weed. While the room was similar to the picture, it had worn furnishings, cracked walls. At least it was clean. Random people (assuming they were staff/no one wore uniforms) going behind the desk, having vulgar conversations.
- George (2/5): This place is a dump - The hotel is apparently a place where people with personal problems live. I’ll leave that to your imagination. The property stinks of pot and cooking food. The wall in our room was patched to keep the wallpaper from coming off. The carpet was filthy. The towels were not even satisfactory for camping. And yet it cost $290.
- Nancy (4/5): - Ok, well i believe this hotel is renting rooms to clients from maybe a disability center...?There was a naked teen running around and screaming in the lobby area! Really. And for a non-smoking hotel, there was plenty of Marijuana smells in and near our room. Oh, yes, one more thing... the water from the faucet in our bathroom was yellow in color.
We had to cut our stay short because we felt very uncomfortable. Wyndham should be aware of this.
- Kirstan (4/5): - Super unimpressed with this facility. Not family-friendly, and bordering on feeling unsafe. Clearly lots of long-term residents, with doors propped open. Lock fixtures coming loose...amyone could kick a door in. Outside doors in stairwels either propped open or just unlocked despite signs that indicate that they would alarm if open. Room was kept clean, but very run down and old. It appears top floors are under renovation. And there is no open restaurant. Very misleading photos and description.
- Ernest (2/5): - You should remove this hotel from your website. Wyndam should be ashamed to have their name on it. No upkeep. Dark outside, sign not lit, no lights in parking lot. Reception and lobby smells of smoke. Elevator doors scratched and it made worrisome noise. Room smelled heavily of a cleaning product, like they were trying to cover up other smells. Door handle to bathroom fell off. We spent 2 minutes in the room and left the hotel never to go back. No one should stay there
- Elisabeth (1/5): Bad -
- Janice (6/5): - The staff was wonderful. The property was a little noisy and lackluster but it was 5 minutes from the naval base. Being conveniently located made up for any shortcomings. I think I could start there again.
- Lou (5/5): This is a way-overpriced 2-star room. - The property is what it is. This is a 2-star place. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The room was clean but outdated, and many of the hotel's amenities were either out of order or not in use. (they are doing renovations) The on-site restaurant is closed, and the hot tub is out of order. The "breakfast" was very sparse and served in the closed restaurant, which was creepy. There were exterior doors left unlocked throughout the night, and if "adult entertainment" is your bag, there is a "cabaret" across the street.
- Alizay (6/5): Pleasant - Room was good The pool was dirty not even blue ya need to clean that pool i had scratch up feet after with all that sand me n my kids feet hurt
- Mark (4/5): - This Place is a dump. No one has reinvested any money into this building in 20 years. Landscaping is not kept up and no interior maintenance is done. People hang out in the parking lot smoking weed. Hallways of the building smell of cigarette smoke.
- Naylis (8/5): - I think it was overall great
- Jocelyn (6/5): Good for a last minute booking!! - The location of this property was GREAT. Not too far from shops, restaurants, etc. The price wasn’t too bad either, especially since we were lucky enough to have gotten a better room situation (for our group of four adults) than we had anticipated. Apart from our room (which was pleasantly nice), the overall facilities were nothing short of disappointing. The hot tub looked like a crime scene, the pool looked…scary. The gym looked and smelled musty, and the bathroom door was quite literally kicked in. It smelled like cigarettes throughout the hotel, as well. If they could upkeep the property better, I think they could have a really good spot on their hands!!
- Michael (2/5): - Place is gross. Smelled like weed and mold. My door wouldn’t lock. Nobody ever at front desk as they were always out smoking with the other staff. Wouldn’t ever go back.
- Thaddieus (8/5): - Comfortable accommodations, but wish that there were more rooms available at a lower price point.
- Anonymous (1/5): Terrible - I didn’t like it at all The property looks like an ancient nursing home, it’s horrible
- Leslie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dina (1/5): Don’t be fooled by the Wyndham name. This place appeared to be a dump from the outside and we never even got out of the - We did not even enter the property. From the outside it was clearly run down and there were no others cars in the parking lot except for a Baymont van that literally had mold on the outside Everything. It was difficult to even find the door to enter the place. It looked so run down that we never entered and I canceled the booking while we were in the parking lot
- Alyssa (1/5): Bad -
- Katelyn (3/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND - Staff seemed nice however only interacted with receptionist. Hotel was not what is shown in pictures. Hallways smelled horrible. Hot tub was blocked off by yellow tape. Outside view of hotel was run down and seemed to have sketchy people hanging around in parking lot. Did not feel safe staying there with young child as we felt we were being watched.
- Darrell (1/5): Bad -
- Roger (3/5): Below average - Not much. I slept good. Smells bad. Poor quality. Do not stay. Old and decrepit.
