Venture593600 (8/5): Convenient and Clean - This was our second time staying at the Inn at Storrs.l, and will stay again. We were in town for a family holiday and needed a place to stay for the overnight. The Inn at Storrs checked all boxes as the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The location is convenient - with several shopping centers adjoining the hotel, close to the highways and near several walking trails. Even the free breakfast provided a quick cup of coffee, muffins, pastry, and cereal - just enough to get you out and about. There are several other restaurants nearby for a more substantial meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. At half the price (or more) of the other hotel by UConn this is a great option if you just need a place to stay after being out and about.

Marilyn (6/5): - Issues at check in typically reserve mobility accessible, disconnect during check-in staff was a little dramatic when I requested a first floor room and we were travelling from Florida to CT; let's just say only one of us should have been dramatic, many traffic issues seemed overwhelmed insisting hotel was sold out. Our assigned room was on 2nd floor, with no elevator and the very end of building thankfully there was a chair mid way to the room. Room's AC sounded like a washer continually on spin cycle, room was not properly cooling.

Eileen (6/5): - The lack of an elevator was a mild issue, since my wife hurt her ankle, so stairs were difficult. But, we worked through it. However, the hotel ran out of bottled water and had limited other options in the form of non-sugary soda (just Diet Coke). Again, not insurmountable, because there is a Big Y store in the next lot, so I walked over and bought a 6-pack of water. It just seemed that the staff didn't care enough to help, like it was my fault.

Alice (10/5): Loud neughbors - Very rude neighbors across the hall. Loud at 9:45 at night Adults snd several kids in and out of two rooms laughing and having a “dance party.” Everyone said goodbye in the hallway at 11:45 pm including the adults making sure every kid said “thank you.” To their “host.” Front desk called our room at 11:15 saying there was a note in the system that we requested towels. We were sleeping. We didn’t ask for towels. Nice room and courteous staff but we won’t be staying again. And the person above us ;’(we were in 127). Was exercising and we could hear the thumping above our head for half an hour. Surprised we could hear anything above us.

Heidi (6/5): - Place is fine, room was clean, and facility of quiet. It worked well for our very late arrival (night before college move-in day). It's not fancy, and the backside of the second building has just a small window. One problem was none of our keys worked for the building entrance door closest to our room - the entrance the staff directed us to. Our son went back to get new keys and they still did not work. We had to use a different entrance further from the room.

Desiree L (10/5): - Very clean, staff is friendly. Breakfast is included however I think it could be better add real breakfast eggs, sausage, waffles etc. The cereal is not fresh and they only put out a few fruits which goes quick. Definitely need enough food to feed the guests.

Shireen (8/5): - Decent room, comfortable stay. The room had an intermittent ‘musty’ smell, perhaps came from the AC. Overall clean & comfortable. Very good to have parking on the property. Very convenient to get to UConn campus which is why we were there.
Christopher (4/5): - Nobody at the desk when we arrived at 730. Lobby toilet out of order. Door keys never worked properly (after multiple tries). Smell in the hallway was awful, like sour licorice. Air conditioning was very loud. We didn’t stay for the second night of our reservation. Even though we didn’t get any money back, it was worth it.

Tj max, old navy and small shopping is walking distance. Also Chipotle, Five guys and couple of places to eat across the street.

shireen (6/5): - To be fair, I stayed here 2m ago & it was better. Not a great stay this time. Firstly the bait & switch, expedia advertised the room available for $121/night but then charged $150/night on the payment side(tax separate). Our rooms keys did not work for some reason, had them changed 4 times to finally work (thats a lot of inconvenience for just a 2 night stay). The sound proofing in the rooms is nonexistent. It felt like I was sitting at the table, a part of the conversation with the family next door. I could even hear the telephone conversation of the person on the other end! Then the nonstop stomping from the room above after they checked in close to midnight. Turned on the AC & it was so loud, I thought I would need to turn it off to be able to sleep. Left it on anyway, but it didnt seem to work. The room was hot anyway. Beds are not too comfortable. The fitness rm is tiny & not much usable. The pool gas a toxically high amount of chlorine in it. The eyes/nose sting to just enter the pool area. Otherwise, all was ok. The room was clean, microwave & fridge worked, staff was nice.

Javier (8/5): Good place if you just need a place to sleep. - Is a good place to go to sleep. Don’t expect luxury. The room was clean, the employees were helpful and nice. The room had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There is a supermarket next door in case you wanna get some things to have available to eat. The price was right. The only drawback were the pillows. Too small and hard.

Jacqueline M (10/5): Jenilu was amazing! - Jenilu was the person that helped me check in. She was so sweet and accommodating. We had flown in on a redeye and she allowed us an early check in since the rooms were ready. She even walked us up to our rooms to show us where we were staying. Rooms were clean! They also served breakfast and were extremely reasonable in price. I would absolutely love to stay there again. Lots of shopping and food options nearby.

Kate (10/5): - I stay here every year at the same time, over 10 yrs. The hotel has gotten better. Nothing fancy but does the trick for a good nights sleep and clean bathroom.
Maurice (8/5): - Reason for 4 star: We had a king size bed. The distance between the mattress and headboard was large. Our half size pillows kept falling in between. We were down the end of the hallway on the second floor. There is no elevator. They should provide push carts on the second floor. Breakfast is not provided. However, there is coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries provided. It was a great value for us. All other hotels were about twice the cost. We would definitely stay there again.

Was moved to a room on the second floor and got just a few new bites. Took a shower and had to hold onto the bar the whole time, as the anti slip coating was worn out. Breakfast was sad.
U3071ZCtonil (2/5): AWFUL! - Run from this place! My car was broken into in the parking lot and there are NO CAMERAS anywhere outside! It is going to cost me $500 to replace my window! Also the smell of cleaners in the room were uncomfortably strong.

Jessica (2/5): - There is a scented fan in the hallways and the smell they’re pumping through the building is NAUSEATING. It is so so strong. Even with towels at the bottom of the door, the scent had me up all night. On checkout the receptionist just stared at me when I told him the complaint. No excuse, answer, or apology. The room was clean otherwise. Rooms on the 2nd floor— there is no elevator. Honestly my worst hotel experience. Look somewhere else
Erika (6/5): Dont go if you are sensitive to strong fragrance - The hotel was nice. It was clean but it had a very over whelming fragrance throughout the hotel. It gave me a terrible migraine and triggered my sons asthma. We had to check out early because we couldnt handle it.

Alan (2/5): - Had room 123 the handicapped room. I tried to switch it when i got there and they had nothing else. The room isnt comfortable there is too much noise day and night outside the rooms door in that hall. Tried to switch the 2nd night also and they couldn't accomidate

Breakfast included a mostly prepackaged rolls/muffins but there was also yogurt, apples, oranges and bananas as well as instant oatmeal so you could have a healthy version if that is what you are seeking. Very quiet property and conveniently located to various places in central CT.

Sarah (8/5): - The hotel is small and cozy. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive from the UConn campus. Grab and go breakfast and coffee in the morning. Next door to a supermarket. We didn’t have a chance to check out the pool or fitness center. The walls are like paper and you could hear people running up and down the hallway, but not very late at night. We will stay here again when we come up to visit UConn.

Joppatowne (2/5): Stay Elsewhere - Wow, the inside did not live up to the outside of the hotel. Limited options for grad weekend so jumped to stay here. There were two positives, the front desk staff and the beds were comfortable. However, the rooms are extremely dated, they smell like bleach, and there is a funky smell otherwise. It sorely needs renovating and the free breakfast was woefully inadequate. Book early if you’re going to UConn somewhere else.

It is badly in need of updating, and although the sheets and shower were clean, the room itself was dingy and dark. There were dead bugs trapped in the flickering lights, and the mattress and sheets were stained. The worst part was the smell—extreme floral trying to mask the musty, dirty smell.
