johnjm715 (2/5): Worse Western - Extremely poor service and would not recommend staying there. I was traveling up the coast with my family and reserved 3 rooms prior to our arrival. I called the day before to ensure they still had one of the rooms i reserved which was two beds and a pull out sofa. I did this because my son, wife and his four children (ages 4,7 ,7, 9) needed a larger room. The person on the phone confirmed they had the room and they would be ready for us. When we arrived to check in, Laurel said they didn't have a room like that and she was trying to figure it out for two days. She proceeded to complain that she had been busy with customers and did not have a chance to do her paperwork. I thought that was odd because I thought customers should be important. Since they didn't have the room, she said we would need to pay for a fourth room! Normally, would have told her to get lost and we would have moved on but was worried i would have to pay for the rooms if i didn't use them. Also, it was late in the day and the kids were tired. Reluctantly, i paid for the fourth room. She said the room wasn't ready yet (it was after 5pm) so we went to dinner and said we would pick up the key when we came back. After dinner we picked up the key and when we went up to the room, it had not been touched for a cleaning. At this point it was 9pm and there were no other rooms. They eventually got ahold of a cleaning person who went up to clean the room. Did not get in until about 10:30. The night front desk person Ashley, was very nice and did her best. When I went to check out, i complained again about being charged for a fourth room when i only booked three. The front desk person insisted i wasn't charged but i showed her on the receipts that i was charged for four rooms. Rather than take it off, she told me to go take it up with my credit card company. Realizing I was talking to someone that doesn't have a clue, i just left. Horrible service. What you reserve is not what you get and the front desk personnel do nothing but complain.

Douglas (10/5): - The rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were even able to get us another room for a third night stay, problem free! Kids complained about the uncomfortable pull out couch. But what kids don't complain about!!

We had a long drive and were exhausted on arrival. - The pool had dressing rooms which was convenient for changing from swimwear to clothes. Couch in the suite sitting area was hard and not comfortable and the tv had apps but couldn’t use them because it wasn’t connected to the internet and had no way to set that up.

jennifernT9688GJ (2/5): Just drive by and don’t stop - Don’t stay here! We left the same night we checked in. After traveling all day the kids were excited to get out of the car and go to the pool and hot tub. We quickly changed and got to the hot tub only to find out as soon as we entered the hot tub that it was more like luke warm bath water, the temperature read 80 degrees on the thermostat and while there another family came in and asked if it was still cold because their family had tried it out the day before. We gave up and decided to go back to our room only to find hair on our bed, a red questionable substance on a chair, dust and crumbs along the furniture, trash near the trash can, someone else’s handprints all over the mirror, the shower with a brown bottom in some spots, orange tint in the toilet and a tissue shoved into the eye hole of the door. We left, didn’t feel like arguing for a refund when our family was exhausted from traveling all day and decided to look for a new hotel at 9 at night. I wish I took pictures to leave with my review.

Keith (9/5): 101 road trip Reedsport stay over - Great little hotel (BW) on the 101 in Reedsport OR. Plenty of options around food, grocery, etc Outdated lamps. Need more charging ports.
Amanda (9/5): The staff treats each other like family—the healthy kind—and invite you to be part of it as well. - The breakfast was great and ready early, and there was always hot water/decaf/coffee available. I appreciated the addition of pool toys and life jackets, and the special note left in the room. More than anything else, I appreciated the helpfulness of staff, and their camaraderie. They worked together well, and encouraged one another. I was impressed that even the staff members that didn’t work behind the desk routinely went out of their way to check in on us. Nobody made me feel like an inconvenience when I brought my fussy baby around, which helped me feel like part of the family. The brokenness of the lobby door didn’t make the best first impression.

brucem768 (8/5): mostly functional, clean motel, in a pleasant coastal town - We had a good stay at this mostly functional, clean motel, in a pleasant coastal town with lots of nearby places to go, if you are outdoors oriented. The non-functional part included automatic sliding front doors that didn't work and were therefore left in the open position, apparently for a couple of years. Plus the hot tub was broken and the pool closed. So if you were choosing this for the aquatic attractions you might bee disappointed, but we did fine. The free breakfast did the trick, nothing fancy.

Room was lacking light in the coffee alcove, reported it to maintenance who took note of it and genuinely cared. He even offered to have house keeping locate a small lamp if desired. Will be making this our go to hotel for Reedsport. We stay in the area about 8 times a year..

The room itself while feeling dark, was perfectly comfortable and provided a restful stay. The room felt a little dark.

We didn't know the hot tub was room temp until we tried to get in, and when asked about it we were told it's been an ongoing issue for awhile. This was disappointing because that was the only reason we chose to stay, so we could soak after a long several day drive. The next morning when we asked where to find the gym, we were told they had taken it out "a long time ago, and they need to remove it from the website." These were the only reasons we opted to spend a little more money for the night.

Jennifer (4/5): Disappointed - Room was clean and bathroom was large. 1.Half a roll of toilet paper with no extra. Went to office to ask for some and employee didn't seem sure they had any and and I was told "you are in luck" 2. Chose this location and paid well over what it deserved, for the amenities and figured was a better and nicer place to stay instead of the cheaper motels. 3. Pool was freezing and hot tub was luke warm( felt like it should have been the pool temp) 4. My husband and daughter said the breakfast was decent, other than the paper thin bacon that just dissolved as it touched the tongue. 5. Ants in pool area and had to swat some off of my leg 6. Bed was super uncomfortable and pillows deflated as you lay your head on them. Causing having to pull more pillows off other bed. 7. Shower rod looked to been pulled off at some point and just moved and no holes patched, so hopefully no cameras. 8. Nearly $300 for one night was a huge waste of money, especially now in fall. Would not recommend to anyone to stay at this location. I have stayed in plenty Best Westerns and have never been so disappointed and mad that I spent so much for one night.

bestwesternr2025 (10/5): Good hotel on hwy 101 - This was a nice Best Western hotel right on Hwy 101. Very comfortable rooms and very clean. Staff is very friendly and caring. Breakfast is great. We never thought there would be so many choices. Its close to Safeway and restaurants so ideal for family on a budget.

lnaydol (10/5): Safe, clean, convenient. - Ignore the negative reviews. I just had a lovely quiet stay here. Basic, clean, good breakfast. The staff was welcoming, accommodating, and efficient. The location is convenient. Fuel, grocery stores, and restaurants are near by. Ample safe parking. Dog friendly.

Gregory (6/5): - Our room was really run down with a couch where you can feel the springs, the bed on both sides had these divets in them and badly needed new mattresses, and the cover had a stain. And it smelled bad in the unit so we had to run the fan all night. The windows didn’t open (either stuck or secured) so there was no fresh air. The floor also was stained. We just felt kind of gross sleeping in there and was so happy to only have it for one night before moving on. The front office staff would disappear for 30 min at a time with no one there to help whatsoever. And when I asked for an extra pillow, they said sorry. We don’t have extra pillows. That’s a first for me. On the plus side, the breakfast was good. The building from the outside is attractive with plenty of free parking and the indoor pool seemed nice and clean. The immediate area is industrial with a busy road but the harbor about 10 min to the south is cute and has some nice little cafes. Florence is about 25 min north through a gorgeous mountain winding road.

Had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, was told that we would not get charged the full amount for the additional 2 nights. We were charged anyway, when I called back to speak to the manager and owner, was given the run around, no calls back from the hotel. Half a dozen calls to the hotel, and no call back. We will never stay at Best Western again.

JILL (6/5): - This property was average. Nothing really stuck out as marvelous. It was conveniently located and offered breakfast included. The room was quite worn out, perhaps because I booked through expedia I got a more worn out room. I would never have paid the quote from BW though. It is located between two roads so I wouldn't exactly say it's quiet. I felt safe and the location was convenient.

Verified traveler (4/5): Stay Didn’t Match Expectations - The hotel facilities were not as advertised—the front pictures were misleading, and both the swimming pool and gym were closed during my stay. Convenient location though.

Amy (8/5): Double check your reservation - I booked my reservation months in advance and when I showed up to check in I was told they did not have a room available. Although a woman right in front of me added a room as she was checking in and another person came in while I was trying to check in and said they had just booked a room about 10 minutes ago. Turned out that they did have my reservation, they just hadn’t CLEANED enough rooms so rather than having the housekeeping staff stay late or whatever needed to be done they just told me they didn’t have any rooms available. The manager finally said she would go clean a room for me herself if I could come back in a little while (this was at 7:30 pm). She also said she’d get me a discount due to all of the inconvenience. The day I was a checking out I asked about the discount. The front desk girl called the owner to ask about it. I was told the owner would call me back. When the owner called me back she kept saying that there was no reservation under my name at all and asked if “I was calling the right hotel”. I told her that I had been standing at the front desk in her hotel when the front desk called her. Finally the owner said she’d need to talk to the manager and call me the next day. That was 2 days ago and I’ve heard nothing. Guessing I won’t be seeing that discount
