- iontsev_legal (10/5): Probably the best place to stay in Suzdal - I think this is the best place to stay in Suzdal. Booked family room 55 sq m. Two rooms. Very nice interior. Everything is available including waxing sponge for shoes. The cleaning is well. The room is located at the last floor of the separate cottage. The territory is big and well-maintained. A bit noisy from the street nearby. Sometimes marriage fest is possible. But everything will get over at 22:30. Reception is friendly and respectful. As well as other personal of the hotel. The breakfast is unexpectedly good during holidays, working days - a bit poorer. Breakfast is served up to 11 AM. There are good gym and pool in the hotel. The price includes them. We’ve paid 1000€ for 3 nights for 4 persons. Consider that quite reasonable. There’re two good restaurants in a stone’s throw. Ogurets and Grafin. They’re recommended also.
- ANNA (10/5): Рекомендую на все 100%.супер. - Прекрасный отель. Лучше многих в европе, а про российскую глубинку- молчу. В принципе это 5 звезд. Нет только мини бара(но и не надо).. в общем все очень хорошо.. музыку бы живую не только в пятницу и субботу,а каждый день. И конечно не только классику, но и обычную, а то от 2ух часов классики голова плывет... МИНУСЫ- УЖАСАЮЩЕ ДЛЯ НАС ЖЕСТКАЯ КРОВАТЬ.. СПИНЫ БОЛЯТ ДО СИХ ПОР-по просьбе постелили доп одеяла на матрас(наматрасников никаких даже 5 см нет) -не помогло... но это как для кого по жесткости. А вот что хуже некуда --Это завтрак!!вот тут я бы снизила звездность до 3 звезд. Описывать не буду. Но в общем ничего нет покушать. Я 3 дня ела капустный салат с утра и сосиску... хотя в жизни сосиски не ем. Бассейн большой 25 метров глубокий прыгать можно. Но детям никак. Совсем. Только тем кто профи:))плавает. Сауны финские сухие греют до 100... больше нет в спа ни джакузи ни доп бассейна... но все хорошо. Для взрослых. И УРА НЕТ ЛЮДЕЙ. АБСОЛЮТНО. НИКОГО.ПОЧТИ ВСЕГДА ПЛАВАЛИ ВДВОЕМ..

- natalia (8/5): - The location is great. The description of the room wasn’t very accurate, so we had to pay extra for a third person in our suite. The breakfast room is ugly, in the basement, no windows, crowds, the food wasn’t the best either. It’s very slippery- the stairs, floors in the lobbies. Safety isn’t the issue here at least during like Russian winters. Otherwise it’s a good place to spend your weekend

- Yana (8/5): все хорошо, но подтяните завтраки... - Все хорошо. Бассейн замечательный. Температура воды, чистота - то, что доктор прописал. Персонал приветлив. Единственное огорчили завтраки. Есть нечего, кроме салата из капусты. Остальное- хлеб, сосиски, синие яйца и все в таком роде.

The hotel offers a great property with indoor pool and outside gardens with parking. Breakfast buffet offers a wide selection for food and drinks. The monastery is within walking distance and overall a very nice stay that I would recommend
- alexey2612 (8/5): Good for business visitors - I stayed here for business, so I did not pay from my own pocket. The hotel itself is nice, large territory. During my stay there was a film crew. So the whole territory was covered by wires, lighting equipment and running crew members. During the check-out I had to take a pause, they were filming a scene in the lobby, so I could not enter. The rooms are spacious. I stayed in a room right under the roof. So it is the third floor, and you can take an elevator only to the second floor. Then only stairs.
- C6774KRleew (8/5): Bigger than you think, great location - The Art Hotel is enormous and has at least 9 three story buildings. We were in building 9 where there are at least 9 rooms per floor. Twin beds, good size doona, fridge, chair and desk and extremely hot. I turned the heating off but the towel rail and bathroom floor were still heated.This place was so quiet we assumed end of season, then we went to breakfast. The hordes were there in force. The breakfast room is big I think it could hold at least 200. There were so full with people having breakfast as it was a constantly moving wall of people. Plenty to eat but you need patience to work around your fellow tourists. For dinner we went over the road to the cucumber restaurant where we had a delicious and hot beef stew. Good service and reasonable prices unlike the one which you will find if you turn right at the gate and go to the first restaurant you find. It looks 19th century in it decor BUT they mucked up our order, allowed cats on the table, was so hot we asked for the cooler to be put on and much more expensive than The Cucumber. The is also a restaurant on site. we did not eat re we did have some wine which was not bad.

The dorm room itself was a clean and comfortable bed, however no window in the dorm room and was bit warm inside. Breakfast the next morning was very nice. I loved my night stay.
- JF206 (8/5): Clean efficient nice rooms - Very clean old style rooms in multiple buildings. One of the best in Suzdal. A secure place with restricted access to those staying in the hotel. Good breakfast. Suzdal is a must for those that want to see the old Russia
- chellmc59 (4/5): I believe it’s the best in town and I’m told there are better room but................... - We were booked into a suite but this was no suite we would recognise. The facilities were two, maybe three star at a pinch and our room right on the main road meant we couldn’t open the windows to get fresh air. The room had a musty smell and the bathroom was pretty awful. In the major cities the hotels are pretty good And sophisticated but outside of the cities we were disappointed. Breakfast was terrible but then finding good food outside of the cities seems like a challenge too. The bread and all baked goods were super stale. I’d say at least three or more days old so toasting was the only option. As there’s no better choice in this town be prepared for a very odd experience in pretty average accommodation.

- pavel (6/5): - Проживали в арт-отеле «Николаевский Посад» с 9 по 12 августа 2019 года. В основном впечатления от отеля положительные. Хорошая благоустроенная территория, комфортный номер – мы проживали в двухместном стандарте. Персонал был настроен благожелательно, никаких нареканий по качеству уборки. На хорошем уровне, есть с чем сравнить, завтрак в отеле. Все бы хорошо, но… Отель был забронирован заблаговременно в ноябре 2018 года через Hotels.com. Наряду с прочим при бронировании была предусмотрена бесплатная парковка. При заезде администрация отеля попросила оплату произвести при выезде. Однако счет на оплату превысил указанный в брони на 1500 рублей. Как уже после выезда выяснилось, эта сумма была взята за парковку - по версии администрации бесплатная парковка не входила в стоимость брони. Однако при заезде администрация не предупредила, что парковка платная. В результате долгих разбирательств, уже не денег ради, а из принципа, деньги все-таки отель перечислил, сославшись на ошибку сайта бронирования и якобы за его счет. Неприятно. Поэтому по 10-бальной системе только 7 баллов.

A comfortable bed. Plenty to choose from their breakfast buffet. Very, very little English spoken here, but we survived.

- Joy (8/5): Pretty grounds, short walk to downtown - Hotel is well-kept with nice grounds. The rooms are in many small separate buildings, which is a nice feeling. Nice balcony to the room. We had booked for 2 adult and 2 children, but there was only one bed, and we didn't realize there was an additional charge of ~$50 per night per bed extra for rollaway beds, which was a bit of a shock and seemed pretty expensive. The hotel is a little outside of the small downtown area (approx 10 minute walk), but still a nice quiet location. We did not visit the pool. Breakfast was nice.
- 2014marie2014 (8/5): What a property - Amazing property and rooms are so oppulent and airy Excellent breakfast spread close to the monestry and two small restaurants just outside The chambermaid and housekeeping are very kind and helful even though they did not speak English The rooms are in villa and there is no lift so be prepared to haul your luggage up.. The reception is very unfriendly and since we were there for just two nights having arrived past midnight we requested that they keep one bag in storage but were flatly refused saying no room but then i was suprised to see a proper room. But other than that everyone else is very kind and friendly.. when we checked out the reception was better maybe because the manager was around But overall a great property
- rastogiabhishek1981 (6/5): Disappointing Hotel - The room was on the 2nd floor or top floor. We had to take all the baggage as there was no lift and noone to help us. The breakfast was disappointing as there were hardly any options. The room in itself was quite good but overall disappointing. The restaurants in the hotel have just russian menu and we could not find any other menu / cuisines. Difficult for children.

- USALouise (6/5): Pleasant Room, Mediocre Breakfast - My husband and I stayed for a quick overnight visit as part of a group tour. Our room was very clean and the bathroom quite spacious with a large bathtub/shower combo, and a very long counter which was nice for two to share. The guest rooms seem to be spread out among several buildings and it was confusing to find our way around late at night, Then we did not easily find the breakfast room in the morning. Not much Russian was spoken by the staff. The bar was open late but would not make change for a large bill. The breakfast buffet was extensive but the food was not very tasty. Unfortunately, our stay was quite brief so we were not able to explore and see what else the hotel had to offer. It's possible that this is one of the best hotels in the area. Tip: Based on photos posted here, it appears there is a great variety of room designs, so I would recommend you check out your room before accepting it.
- Jules (8/5): Nice, big room - Junior suite is clean, comfortable and large enough for a couple with a small child. Hotel is within walking distance to town. Town is safe to hang out in the evening. Complementary breakfast is like a small buffet by itself serving hot food such oatmeal, Russian porridge, omelet, chicken sausage, stirred fried broccoli with chicken organs, fried fish and macaroni. Fruits, cold fruit juice and hot fancy coffee are also complementary. Swimming pool access requires wearing cap which can be rent for 300 roubles.

- birgitmustermann (4/5): Wonderful houses but important details missing - The hotel installation and concept is very nice and the location is close to well known monuments. The rooms are distributed over several villas. The Barock style has a special flavor and this gives you the impression of a very good hotel. However, one disappointment is the personal working here. First the confusion about the booked room and amount of people and then finally the assignment of a room not adequate to the booking. After protesting, it was corrected and OK for us. Not all building levels can be reached by an elevator, so you may have to carry your luggage to the upper floor. A disappointment was the breakfast room. It is unbelievable that in this hotel installation you have to take the breakfast in the cellar of the reception building. The style is like in a highway stop over fast-food restaurant. The quality and variety of the food is poor for a hotel of this category, the waiters are not attentive about supplying food when plates are empty or removing plates from your table - even in a nearly empty breakfast room. Furthermore, it depends on your luck to meet somebody at the reception able to speak anything else than Russian. The local town attractions map is sometimes available for free or you are charged for 120 Rubel - difficult to understand. The restaurant located to at the border to the Main Street has a nice terrace but we had no luck with the lamb that was cooked to death, while the salmon was very good. All in all the hotel was not fulfilling our expectations.
- 648PaulE (10/5): A Wonderful Choice for a Hotel in Suzdal - I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a group tour. I simply loved the hotel perched in a small village setting. The village has 9-10 buildings in the complex with breakfast served at the main reception area. It is situated in the heart of Suzdal and close to many of the churches and sights. My room as a single had a sitting area beside the bedroom and bathroom. The room had a very rustic feel to it. The bathroom is very small but very functional. Most conveniences were available. The breakfast was satisfactory but not superb. I also had dinner at the hotel once and the meal was excellent. The setting in the second floor was really nice and appealing. A very picturesque view is seen inside and outside the hotel complex. I loved Suzdal and I very much enjoyed my stay here.
- amk2f (6/5): Great Territory, but Disappointing Room - The hotel itself is very perfectly located and has a really beautiful and well maintained territory. But I was absolutely dissatisfied with my room, which was located in the cellar and therefore very dark and a bit damp. The room has spoiled the impression of the hotel. Otherwise the stay would’ve been nice, the staff members were really polite and friendly. The food was quite average though.

- idatev (10/5): Simply the best! - This would undoubtedly be one of the most amazing hotels/resorts you could think of. The rooms had a huge sitting room with antique queen Anne seats and chairs, Beautiful artworks on the walls, good sized TV, huge writing desk, well designed bathroom and the bedroom had two queen sized beds. The rooms were divided into so many to a 2 storey block and the surrounds quiet and peaceful even though there was a road outside. The entire place is surrounded by gardens with flowers in abundance as well as trees and shrubs. Being close to the street, which again is quiet, you had the choice of fine dining at the Art hotel or there are a couple of local restaurants just across the roads. One of the loveliest places I have had a chance to stay at.
- Evgeny (8/5): Отдых - Хороший большой номер. Укомплектован чайником и мини баром, в нем ассортимент конечно неочень, но все же приятно. Хотелось бы телевизор побольше, так как кровать стоит далеко, а у для тех кто плохо видит будет проблемно. Шумоизоляции нет, кто ходит в коридоре, разговаривают все слышно. Ещё у нас в номере за шкафом, был ужасный звук слива воды, такое ощущение как будто она тебе на голову льётся (очень громко), странно, как никак полулюкс все таки. В целом оставаться можно, думаю если приедем ещё раз, то останемся в этом отеле.

- PhilDouglas55 (8/5): Lovely stay in a lovely town - We had a very good suite in building 2 - clean, large and a balcony. The hotel was quite at night having its own grounds. We loved the grounds with the various statues and gardens. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Hotel has several buildings on the property, which makes confusing when checking in with 20 people...Management needs to train front desk how to handle groups. No one told any of us that coupons given with key is to access swiming pool, not breakfast!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - what a beautiful hotel! the grounds are great and the suite was fantastic, and perfect central location. The staff spoke excellent English and let us have our breakfast early due to catching an early train back to Moscow, I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, would love to go back.

However the reception staff were obviously not going to go out of their way to give us a double room which we had requested in advance, when they had given a a twin room instead. Hotel had a nice lounge. A pleasant surprise was the appearance of 2 musicians playing Russian music in the lobby.
- Anisimov (10/5): Хороший отель - Отель очень чимтенький. Персонал приветливый и отзывчивый. Никаких проблем с регистрацией и выездом. Очень понравился босейн. Дети в восторге. Также в босейне можно взять принодлежности для детей желеты пояса доски, правдп это. Инвентарь ннплохо было бы обновить. Единственное нас не предупреждали что шапочки в басейн обязятельны, правда их продают. Номер большой и просторный. У нас был третий этаж. Очень понравились окна на крыше. Хотя некоторые части номера не удобны для высоких людей. Один минус продавленный матрас на двух спальной кровати.
- Regina (8/5): Hotel encantador no interior da Rússia - Fomos de Moscou para Suzdal passar apenas um dia. Tivemos dois problemas mas nenhum deles referente ao hotel. Na Rússia praticamente não se fala inglês e numa cidade de 12000 habitantes menos ainda. No hotel o problema existe também, a língua, ou não se falar inglês, mas não é culpa deles e sim geral no país visitado. A cidade de Suzdal é um charme, gostaríamos de ter ficado mais tempo. Os quartos são em chalés, tudo muito bem arrumado e muito limpo.

- STANISLAV (10/5): Европейские стандарты! - Больше всего понравился сервис: сотрудники оперативно и эффективно реагировали на все запросы, проявляя при этом исключительную доброжелательность. В номерах чисто. В семейном номер удобный подиум с подушками, на котором может ползать ребенок. Отличный бассейн, неплохие сауны в коттеджах. Море цветов, благодаря чему се вокруг благоухает. Из минусов: слишком высокие цены в ресторанах, отсутствие пандусов/лифтов в некоторых местах, что вызвало неудобство у нас с коляской.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - Rude stuff. We were staying during peak season but half the facilities were closed. Also we paid for breakfast with out Expedia booking but we told at reception that Expedia made a mistake and that it was not a problem they should sort out.
- Yulia (10/5): Очень приятное впечатление - Провели в отеле уикэнд семьей - двое взрослых и ребенок 10 лет. Очень обрадовал номер с тремя полноценными кроватями - на короткий период пребывания для семьи с ребенком это невероятно удобно! Никаких раскладных диванов и прочих полумер, у всех качественное спальное место) Сам отдельный комплекс хорошего уровня, оставляет очень приятное впечатление. Тихая, ухоженная территория, хотя в Суздале это не так важно) Обходительность персонала приятна. Было недоразумение с завтраками из-за некорректно представленной на HOTELS.COM информации, но в итоге оно было решено в нашу пользу. Спасибо отелю, полный респект) Отдельно хочу отметить ресторан при отеле. Отличный, художественно оформленный интерьер, очень вкусная кухня и вполне здоровые для такого уровня цены. Жалею, что тратили время на сомнительные заведения в городе, имея такое вкусное место под боком!

- Andre (8/5): Nice place with pleasing hotel staff - Staff of the Main restaurant, located at the main entrance had no desire to accommodate us because we came 30 minutes before kitchen closing. However, after talking to an admin person in charge a table was cleaned for us and food was served. We received an average quality but expensive in the restaurant.
