They need to put all the handicapped parking in front of the hotel, and put the handicapped rooms on the first floor of the main building. I had to help an older woman down the stairs so she could get to the other building into her room. This could be easily corrected.

I want to forget the stay at this hotel it was awful. - I enjoyed the ocean view, the tiki bar, the lazy river, the indoor pool, and the location of the beach so close, also North Myrtle Beach and so many shops and restaurants close. The breakfast although it was free the quality was poor, there were no security cameras, the corridors were very dark and gloomy, the rooms were not as featured on the website, the carpet, the furniture outdoor and indoor dated, the bed was uncomfortable, the shower curtain rod was bent, the lobby was not inviting, the parking was not convenient.

robg882 (10/5): We keep coming back - My wife and I have been coming here for at least the last 10 years for a number of reasons. The rooms are comfortable and always very clean with visits from the housekeeping staff on a daily basis. The beach is about a 200' walk away. The location provides easy access to highway 17 north and south for shopping, dining or travel home. All of this plus a fantastic tiki bar overseen by Kyrsten who is amazing. For those who may be traveling with children there are 2 pools and a lazy river to enjoy. Just a great place. R&L

TennesseeWanderer (8/5): If you want to be able to hear and smell the ocean, this is perfect! - Perfect location on the beach! Room had been recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. 2nd floor Balcony was perfect : we had direct line of sight to the ocean. We could watch the tides rise and fall all day! There are 3 buildings in this resort. A tall tower that overlooks the outdoor pool/lazy river and part of it faces the beach. A low 2 story building that sits sideways to the beach and is 150 feet from main building. Main building has a 4 story building with only 8 rooms per floor, all of which look over salt pool and face the beach. We were in the main building, 2nd floor. Breakfast is served in main building.

When booking, we wanted a kitchenette and thought that’s what we booked but, that’s not what we got. The bathroom had not counter space for you personal items to be placed. There was no counter space in the room either. We had to continue to shift items between the sofa and dining table.

Staff was very friendly, professional and customer service oriented. Hot breakfast each morning with nice selection of other items. A staff member serves hot breakfast items. We appreciated the additional sanitary efforts provided.

Nancy (5/5): Needs major work - Location (beachfront) was great. The staff members were friendly, respectful, and responsive. The pools were small but well maintained. The place really, really needs updating. Our room had saggy beds, terrible lumpy pillows, and no place to put luggage except the floor, which was covered in sticky carpet. Lampshades had dirt or mold around tops and bottoms, and the chairs had upholstery so worn that I sank down to the frame when trying them (and I'm a normal size). The tub/shower was very slippery and had no grab bars; one or the other is needed, for the safety of guests. And speaking of safety: the small tray of kitchen flatware and utensils was stored high above the refrigerator, with a large knife that could not be seen from below just lying on top of the tray. When my sister lifted the tray down, the knife slid off the tray and almost hit her in the eye. I have traveled widely and stayed in every kind of dwelling from 5-star hotels to tents and even mud houses, and I'm adaptable. This place needs some work, though, to achieve a two-star level, though I'm sorry to have to say so.
