Lake side restaurant had an excellent tilapia and lemongrass wrapped in banana leaves. The hotel was close to the botanical garden, which was a bit run down but nice. Breakfast omelet was great.

Personeel zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Bij ontvangst werd een welkomstdrankje aangeboden. Zwembad is klein, niet om te zwemmen maar wel voor de frisse duik.

• BackPacker74196 (10/5): Perfect place to unwind before flying home! - After a long tour around Uganda, this hotel was the ideal spot to relax before our flight home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, I even enjoyed some fun football banter with them! The rooms are spotless and well-equipped with all the essentials: air conditioning, bottled water, fridge, safe, and comfortable beds. Hot showers were a big plus after days on the road. The food was excellent, compliments to the chef, and breakfast offered plenty of choice. When our Uganda Airlines flight was delayed by over 15 hours, the hotel kindly extended our stay at a reasonable rate. Their airport transfer service was also a huge help. Personally, I loved passing the time watching Premier League matches with a few beers (some staff support Man Utd and Man City, don’t hold that against them! 😉). The owner was fantastic, always available for a chat and quick to help with any issues. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a friendly atmosphere!

The room was perfect for us - thoughtful touches like a desk, nightstands, and reading lights. The staff is the real star - so lovely in spirit and kindness - they made us feel well taken care of. They worked with us to accommodate extending our stay (though we would’ve understood if they had already committed to another guest). Notably, the hotel is across the street from its very good restaurant, as well as the best pizza in Uganda at Goretti’s. It is also only a few minutes’ walk from a fabulous artist, Ivan Zachari Lubega, who provides very unique souvenirs in the form of artistically adorned denim jackets, shirts and hoodies. 2 Friends Beach Hotel has everything you will want and more!

Gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit dem üblichen ugandischen Angebot. Das Zimmer war etwas enger als andere aber hatte Platz in einem Einbauschrank und ein Balkon war vorhanden. Steckdosen haben funktioniert und der Wasserdruck in der Dusche auch. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Flughafenshuttle war inbegriffen und zuverlässig.

• Norbert (9/5): Friendly hotel close to Entebbe airport - Friendly staff, hotel located directly at Victoria lake. Cozy atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner were good. Hotel shuttle for airport transfer worked very well, the location is ideal for plannable driving times.
• Melanie (7/5): Nette kleine Unterkunft direkt am Victoria Lake - Zimmer war okay, die Einrichtung schon etwas abgewohnt. Netter kleiner Pool mit schönem Garten, direkt am Ufer des Victoria Lakes gelegen. Etwas abseits aber mit den Motorrad-Taxi kam mal schnell und bequem überall hin. Das Frühstückspaket zum Mitnehmen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Wir kamen ziemlich früh an und wurden auch vom Flughafen abgeholt - was toll war. Leider wurden wir dann aber nicht mal mehr gefragt, ob wir irgendetwas brauchen (Wasser, Bad, etc.). Wir saßen vollkommen allein in der Lobby in Freien und haben gewartet, dass es hell wird.

• Oblak (4/5): Wir kommen nicht wieder - netter kleiner Gartenbereich mit kleinem Pool, für Kurzaufenthalte ausreichend. Das Frühstück ist sehr überschaubar Leider hatten wir das Pech ein altes Zimmer im Stammhaus zu bekommen. Zimmer Nr. 5 hat über der Zimmertür über die geamte Bereite einen offenen Spalt in Höhe von ca 15cm, wodurch der Lärmpegel in dem ohnehin extrem hellhörigen Haus unerträglich war. Zusätzlich hatten wir das Pech, dass die Bewohner der umliegenden Zimmer fast durchgehend Party gemacht haben und wir vor allem in der ersten Nacht nicht an Schlafen denken konnten. Unser Zimmer zeigte leider nicht in Richtung Pool im Garten sondern in den Hinterhof und hier ist scheinbar die Küche im Erdgeschoß untergebracht. Ab 6 Uhr morgens war extremer Küchengeruch im Zimmer. Die Fenstern haben nur ein Moskitonetz und waren nicht voll verschließbar. Die Klimaanlage zeigte voll in Richtung Bett. Die durchgehende Benützung war nicht möglich da man sich sonst verkühlt und ohne wird es sehr warm und man riecht ab 6 Uhr was es zum Frühstück geben wird.

• Keith (8/5): - This hotel was super cute. They picked us up from the airport and even came early since our flight arrived over an hour early. The property is a bit dated but still comfortable. We walked around safely from the property and appreciated how close to the mall they were for quick access to a ATM. The staff is super nice however our safe was locked when we arrived and we called 3 separate times over the course of 4 hours and no one ever unlocked it. That was super frustrating since we had to carry our valuables everywhere cause no one ever unlocked it. The other downside is it says airport transportation is included however it must mean only one way because we had to pay $15 to be taken to the airport which isn’t a problem but isn’t clearly stated. This is a great stay for one night

• Björn (10/5): Truly a gem - We were happy to return to 2friends, and loved it like the first time. The rooms are clean, spacious, air conditioned and have comfortable beds. The bathroom is equally clean with good water pressure. the pool is small but a gem to relax in the water or at the side. The nearby restaurant offers a good variety of food and drinks. The breakfast offered a large variety in good quality. The staff has been friendly, helping us to feel welcome and assisting with the airport transfer. I wish I had something not so good to say, but … no. Because now even more people will want to stay at 2friends, and I had already a hard time to book for the full period I wanted to stay there. 😅😉

The room was very nice and spacious, the pool area was so cute and the breakfast was delicious. One thing I’ll never forget is the smell there. The air outside was incredibly sweet like roses and jasmine and I could have stayed there forever enjoying myself.

Un bel ristorante proprio in riva al lago (consigliatissimo!). Trasporto gratuito da/per aeroporto. Posizione comoda, vicino all'aeroporto, centro commerciale Victoria e giardino botanico. Da metterci un po' di cura nella gestione: su tre ombrelloni in piscina (la piscina è piccolina) uno non si apriva. La doccia con la tenda :(. In generale l'arredamento e soprattutto il bagno richiederebbe un rinnovamento.

• Harry822 (10/5): A wonderful introduction to Uganda - We recently stayed five nights between our two safaris (2 at beginning, 2 between, 1 after). The staff, Oliva, Florence, Claire, Diana and others were so helpful from the first time I contacted them until we left. It was a great place to stay with comfortable rooms and a great location, an easy safte 10 minute walk to the mall to purchase items in a very well-stocked grocery/dry goods store and to exchange dollars for Ugandan shillings. Pickup and drop off at the Entebbe Airport (15 minutes away) was provided at no charge. They arranged to have some laundry done for us and we could not believe how inexpensive it was and quickly returned within a few hours. While on both safaris, we were able to leave our extra baggage at the hotel. They have a very satisfactory restaurant on the water but the food is cooked in the hotel's kitchen and transported across the street. Tip: be sure to be seated about an hour before you want to eat, as the kitchen is small. And I cannot end without mentioning Patrick, who makes sure everything is running smoothly. He is an engaging person and you should set some time aside to chat with him. We had one hiking boot suffer some damage on the first safari and he arranged to have a repair done quickly. Patrick and the entire staff are all ambassadors for this wonderful country. I wish more places were like 2 Friends and I highly recommend them.
• boschlaan (8/5): Nice hotel near the airport - Nice hotel close to the airport. There was a shopping mall close to use an ATM. The breakfast was partly buffet and some prepared food. It was nice and enjoyable start of the day. Only the toaster did not work, the bread would get stuck. Dinner was also well prepared and enjoyable. The rooms were very good, even containing fans and some even AC. The shower and the utilities were sufficient and pleasant to use. The beds were nice and provided a good nights rest. The swimming pool was nice for a relaxing afternoon and in the evening the bar was a good place to sit.
