Guest Reviews
- Minh Triet (10/5): - Great and beautiful hotel for a short stay in Colmar for our family. Room was very spacious and squeaky clean with great amenities. The Old Town was only a short 10-minute walk away and very convenient to get to from the train station. Would highly recommend!
- Faron (8/5): - Basic quiet clean modern place to stay with limited amenities. Close to old Colmar. We just slept there. Was fine. Not outstanding. Breakfast expensive so we didn’t bother. There is a vending machine for coffee in the AM. We had a hard time figuring out how to get the AC working, had no luck with the stove and the door lock to exit the place was tricky. Could be a concern if there was a fire.
- Linda (10/5): - Enjoyed the balconies. Rooms were ckean and roomy. Well equipped kitchen. Reception staff are over the top helpful.
- Ella (10/5): - Great stay. It had everything we needed and a great location. The room was a good size and the aircon worked well and a good safe.
The only thing was the shower temperature was unreliable and would fluctuate when you were in it
- Stuart (8/5): - we were given a room on the bottom floor which had patio doors that opened onto the car park. There was no privacy you would have to have had the curtains shut the whole time, after asking to be moved the receptionist eventually managed to move us and the room we got was fantastic, would rate the hotel and stay as a ten, apart from one thing,No milk to make a coffee 🙁
- Gill (10/5): - The room had everything you needed including a dishwasher if you want to self cater. It is so close to the centre of Colmar and the large area parking is convenient although charged separately. This is the best value accommodation that we have found on our travels in France and Italy !
- Jennifer (10/5): - Good location easy to walk to everything lovely little village. Good size rooms love the kitchenette big bathroom great breakfast friendly staff safe secure parking onsite. Would recommend staying here to everyone.
- Marek (6/5): - limited breakfast choices. Bad internet, dropping off connection frequently
- Renae (10/5): - Very spacious and great location
- Andrew (10/5): - Wow what a place. The hotel wonderful. The staff are welcoming and so polite. Our room was so spacious and clean. There is an indoor pool which was very welcome but very popular with guests. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
Colmar is stunning. So much to see. We loved Little Venice.
- Sidney (10/5): - Great place good location.
- Carmen (6/5): - Had everything we needed and comfortable enough. Clean. Breakfast addition was expensive but it was very good.
- Ginette (10/5): - Super belle hotel approximité des sites et actvités. très belle piscine propre.
- Paul (10/5): Fantastic hotel choice - Loved our rooms! We had the top floor with big skylight windows. The air conditioning worked great which is huge! The rooms were very clean and spacious. Our kids were excited to swim in the indoor pool too. The location was perfect for exploring Colemar which was just a few minutes walk away.
We had a vehicle but the onsite parking was sold out when we arrived (so try to book that in advance if you are able) but the lady at the front desk had a good suggestion for another one that was about a 10 min walk away which worked just fine for us.
I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel, great price, location, and clean and bright.
- Leonardo (10/5): - We had an excellent stay. Room was spacious and clean, kitchenette was quite useful when traveling with a 1 year old. Swimming pool is small but nice and not busy. Reception was friendly and helpful.
One suggestion would be to equip the kitchenette with some essentials like washing up liquid, kitchen roll etc. which we had to buy and leave behind.
- christine (10/5): - Very good breakfast helpful and friendly staff
- Kvarvaressos (8/5): - Location i great 5 mts walking to colmar historic centre easy safe parking and clean and practical apartment didnt use breakfast or other facilities so i can't comment. Pleasant staff
- Jane (10/5): - Very clean, helpful polite staff, close to the main shops, very lovely stay
- Dania (10/5): Europe 2025 - The hotel had an excellent location to visit Colmar. Some of the staff were not very friendly a little bit rude,Overall everything went fine.
- Andrea (8/5): - I have enjoyed the stay and the wonderful city and region, all the staff was nice a part one person, Celine, she was very unpolite and did not treat us as a guest. She did not support us when we had a problem with the stroller that broke and we were asking only a place where to throw it away.
- Maheen (10/5): - I was skeptical about this booking due to the mixed comments but we liked it the most out of any of the hotels during our trip. Super convenient because of the kitchenette and very practical. We have some dietary restrictions so this is something which was much appreciated. The area is safe and walkable, the staff is friendly, we enjoyed our stay.
- Susan (10/5): - Very pleasant stay close to old town area.
- George (10/5): Perfect trip! - Amazing City of Colmar!
Great location of Odalys City Colmar La Rose d'Argent - very clear and cozy room!
We will return to this location!
- IK (2/5): Poor - This Hotel cannot be recommended. They were unable to provide the type of room we had booked. Instead of fronting up and acknowledging they put us in a cheaper, smaller, lower standard room that was not fit for purpose. When confronted the Manager did accept the problem and agreed to sort out compensation for the error. In spite of direct contact and the involvement of Hotels.com there has been no attempt to correct their error. They should be removed from the Hotels.com property list.
- Virginia (8/5): - Good sized room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Just a few minutes walk to the old city center, which was perfect to view the Christmas decorations and Christmas markets. We didn’t swim, but the pool would be a great plus in summer. Staff was efficient, although not overly friendly. Decor in room was nothing special, but overall, the hotel was good value for the money.
- Douglas (6/5): - Unable to book parking in advance on Expedia but oters could so it was sold out. Reception was unhelpful providing alternative parking recommendations.
- Anne (2/5): - My husband and I took an anniversary trip to see the Christmas markets throughout Europe. This was one of 5 hotels we stayed at, and the only one that disappointed us. The hotel felt low end upon entry. The furniture, flooring and overalls look of the unit was cheap. It was also the most expensive hotel we stayed at. One of the nights of our stay we decided to buy ingredients to make dinner. The burners on the stove could not get to temperature to boil water. We asked the individual at the front desk to assist, but he could not get it to work either. Also when we first checked in the dishwasher was running and continued to run for several hours so we simply shut it off. There is a lovely boutique hotel across the street from Odalys - the James. I would recommend looking into this alternative instead.
- Jason (10/5): - Great location, close to Colmar Christmas markets.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Enjoyed ous short stay. Very good for the price. Close to the centre. Staff very friendly
- Ken (10/5): Convenient for Colmar centre. - Hotel has apartment style rooms on the top floor with Velux windows and a small kitchenette, making it possible to have a self-sufficient stay if desired. We only stayed one night and therefore had B&B which was fine.
- Alla (10/5): - We chose it by location and it was a good choice
- Barry (8/5): - Comfortable room more like an apartment. Had small kitchen and nice bathroom.
Room comfortable but wasn't touched by chambermaids during our 3 day stay
Location a bit away from centre but nice stroll. Swimming pool a bonus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean large room with easy walking to centre.
Requested parking three times as no response from the hotel. When I arrived I was asked if I'd recieved conformation for parking.I said no as no one had got back to me. Told sorry car park now full. Communication could be much better.
- Katherine (10/5): - Fab hotel with parking just outside the historic centre of Colmar, which is a lovely 10 minute walk. Nice buffet breakfast and staff friendly. We would stay here again.
- Claire (10/5): - Great place to stay to explore Colmar
- Brad (2/5): No AC created challenges - The a/c was not working properly and was very warm in the room. There was no communication agead of time about this to allow me to make changes to new hotel. When trying to cancel and go elsewhere the hotel would not waive cancel fee (per hotel.com customer service agent) and so we were stuck unless paying the cancel fee and then higher costs for last min rate at another hotel. Not well handled by the hotel. Their apology was free parking. Did not even throw in breakfast or anything. Disappointed in how it was handled and the customer service.
- Michael (10/5): Nice place, well located - Nice place a short walk from the old part of town . The breakfast was very good, varied and plentiful. We had a second floor room accessible only by stairs which might be an issue for some. Car parking must be reserved as it gets full.
- mrs helen l (10/5): - Good size apartment with seating area and dining table. Separate shower room and bedroom. Unfortunately the shower leaked and flooded the flooring. We only stayed 1 night so made no use of self catering. Pool on the small side, again did not use
- James A. (10/5): - Very clean, quiet
- Katalin (10/5): Super apartment - Great location with great parking. The breakfast was very delicious, I loved the huge selection. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the center of Colmar.
- Johanna (10/5): - The property was very nice. Spacious rooms and clean. Very good breakfast. But the hotel is kind of far from the town itself. All in all it was very good. Thank you
- Elisa (10/5): - I loved the proximity to .the old town of Colmar, and my kids loved the pool!
- Ellen (6/5): - It was very hard to get to this property and park
- Kevin (6/5): Uncomfortable, good location. - The property is within walking distance of the Le petit Venice area which is the main reason why we chose the venue. It also has a pool which is nice when traveling with children. The pool is small but clean. The bed is uncomfortable. No AC, the room was stifling hot while we were there, the bedroom has no window to open. Additionally we booked our reservation for the wrong days, then rebooked and were not able to get a refund for any of the days we booked for, I found that a bit unreasonable.
- Kliti (10/5): - Very convinient
- Tyler (10/5): - While it is not much of a hotel, in that there is not much service provided, the rooms are very good for the price, there is a pool, parking is easy, and you are close to the old town for much less cost than most places
- Teresa (10/5): - Execellent
- Amanda (8/5): - Nice location, decent breakfast, spacious room
Bad-tiny shower with no shelf, no bench, bed hard as concrete, no couch even though showed in pictures, tv had no English speaking channels.
- France (10/5): - Great room and great service.
- Miklos (8/5): - It was convient location to the old city. I had to drag my 3 suitcase up 2 stairs because the elevatir was broken no help was available.
- Jacky (8/5): - Very good hotel close to the city centre and to a supermarket. Easy parking nearby. We did not try the breakfast. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool but it was a little bit chilly for us during our stay
- Julie (4/5): - Location was easy 10 min walk to old town. Communication regarding check in and parking was very poor. I was charged by Orbitz for the room and the hotel insisted they didn’t get the payment. So I had to pay at the hotel. When Orbitz tried to call the front desk they never answered. I tried to talk with the front desk. They were very dismissive. Terrible customer service.
- Ani (8/5): - Good property, clean, good location. Did not communicate timely and did not provide instructions for after hours check in although I messaged several times. Got there tired late night to be told there was no key left for us. Then someone else showed up later and sorted it out. Communicate timely and properly.
- Ömer (10/5): Great location - Great location, apartment was lovely and perfect for a family of four. Only downside was the parking, you have to reserve it prior to arriving, option wasn’t available when I made the booking and parking in the area is hard to come by. Other than that a great stay and would use the hotel again.
- David (8/5): Overnight in Colmar - Serves the purpose for a few days. Location is good and happy with overall experience. Pleasing breakfast
- Edward (8/5): - The room was clean and the building was handy to a grocery store and the historic town. Cooking/benchtop space was lacking. Before we arrived, we phoned the hotel from the train station to ask if a taxi could be arranged to pick us up. A "no" and a "no speak English" was the response. We did not see any taxis in half an hour (too late for buses) so we mid-sixties couple had to walk half an hour with all our luggage, backpacks etc.
- Marcus (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay but they did not have an iron, which I thought was weird. Front desk reps were receptive and friendly. It’s a perfect location to get to the center within 5-9 min walk.
- Robert (6/5): - The location is great and the hotel staff is very friendly. We were only there for one night and arrived late. There was a smell of sewage in the barhroom that we could not get rot get rid off even after flushing sink and shower. We did not complain directly as we were leaving again the next morning.
- Michael (10/5): The best place to stay in Colmar. - This was the best place we stayed on our two week trip. We booked a studio and were upgraded to an apartment. Our gold member status really came through. The hotel is only a few minutes from Colmar old city. Rooms are large and very clean. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. Secure parking. Boulangeries, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. are all within a short walk. Highly recommend.
- Jentry (10/5): - This was a lovely hotel within walking distance to everything in the city of Colmar. Family friendly and the staff was very lovely and always there to help.
- Laura (10/5): Good value for money - We had a very pleasant stay at Odalys. Apartment was clean, comfortable and the location is great. We didn't have breakfast at the property but Auchan, cafés are within short walking distance. Loved Colmar and the area around it (Kaysersberg is a lovely town too).
- Nicola (8/5): Great location, modern hotel. - Book on site parking before arrival or you won't get a space however lots of free parking nearby. Room was modern, spacious and kitchenette well equipped. Bring your own tea/coffee/milk as this is not provided. Very dog friendly. Shame the bathroom smelt really damp and unpleasant. The bed was twins pushed together but comfortable and the air con worked and quiet. Breakfast is buffet style and a bit expensive at 12 euros each. Great location though, it was easy to find the hotel and the historical centre is less than mins walk.
- Shane (10/5): - Nice hotel, 8-minute walk to Colmar. Has parking and breakfast and pool.
- Sally (8/5): Need to book parking in advance - We hadn’t booked a parking space and were told the parking was full but to ask later. I checked through all the info and it didn’t tell us anywhere that we needed to book. Luckily there was a space later
- Edward (10/5): Lovely stay, thanks! - Enjoyed our stay, small but nice indoor pool which was enjoyed, convenient location (easy to get to with the car from outside Colmar - once you understand the one way streets and where the car park is!) and also an easy walk to the historical centre. Only downside was the lack of a lift, but that just meant a good workout for me! (So not a complaint, just an FYI!) Will hope to return. Many thanks
- Melissa (8/5): Good hotel - We enjoyed our stay. The pool was nice and warm, the room was a good size, and the staff was friendly. The only hiccup was finding somewhere to park so we could check-in and get the code to the parking lot. It is walking distance to everything.
- MIKE AND KIM (8/5): Great Little Place Close to Town - Awesome gated parking and the charge for parking was reasonable - NOT the price for dinner every day! Breakfast was okay.
- Saurabh (2/5): Horrible - Staff was very rude. I had the worst experience ever. The room was dirty. I had to leave the room mid day and the people at the hotel didn't care at all about how we felt. Their wifi was not working and instead of helping us solve it, they ask us to call up their internet provider and figure out the solution on our own. would never ask anyone ever to stay at their property.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very disappointing stay! During Covid times you would think that they are extra diligent with cleaning procedures so we were very disappointed and disgusted to find a moldy sandwich in the fridge. The hotel personnel didn’t wear masks properly (they didn’t cover the nose) which also made us unsettled. We had also booked this hotel because it had a pool and we did receive communication that the pool was open but by reservation, however the pool turned out to be closed. Would not come here again!
- Alexis (10/5): Excellent - Brilliant location, excellent staff and and incredibly clean hotel. Nice big rooms, very good value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our bathroom soap was empty, and also the hallway area is very old and ugly.
- Peter (10/5): Good choice - Large room, good facilities. Self catering kitchen area a bit small, but good deli/health food shop opposite. Good location for walking to town centre. Safe parking. Difficult to
Ark to check in though as limited space n front of hotel. Will use again.
- nikunj (8/5): - Good location
Breakfast they have to improve
- Lonadoan (8/5): - Very spacious apt. Clean and had all necessary amenities. I liked receiving all of the international TV stations.
- Mikulas (6/5): Space for improvement - Although we had a newly furbished room, it was too big and not really clean. With a little effort they could make a perfect hotel but this was a bit disappointing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst hotel ever - This hotel has lots of problems.
1. GPS wasn’t helpful to get into the entrance by car.
2. I was checking in on Friday and there was nobody working in the hotel after 9 pm including the front desk.
3. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights so paid breakfast and parking for 3 nights. Bit I wasn’t on the breakfast list on the third day.
On the second night, the parking lot was full so people couldn’t park cars. The hotel said that the parking lot gate was broken and people who did not stay in the hotel came in. What??!!
4. Frond desk clerks don’t speak English well. They didn’t understand simple comments like “the room is dusty.” “Can I get housekeeping service today.”
5. The room was super dirty and dusty when checking in. I told the front desk about it but she said that they didn’t have a housekeeper that time and nobody would not be working that night.
The room wasn’t cleaned up on the second day so I told the front desk again and she said “we cannot do it today because none of housekeepers is working today. It was Saturday!!!
On the third day morning, I asked front desk to make sure I could get housekeeping service and she said yes but the room was same at 3pm. The front desk said the same thing again that they couldn’t do it today. She must be trained to say it. I was angry so said I paid for the room including the service so it must be cleaned up. A housekeeper made beds, took garbage, and changed towels but didn’t sweep the floor. It was soooo dusty!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's better than my expectations, the room and bathroom are clean. The receptionists are friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was our best hotel of our trip to France. The room was very large with kitchenette. The swimming pool was well appreciated since we were in the middle of the heat wave
- עופרה (8/5): Nice place to stay for a night - Nice stay welcoming staff but not so close to the center
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great facility and amenities but breakfast was expensive
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very reasonably priced for hotel with so many facilities e.g. swimming pool. Hey clean.
Downside: no tea and coffee in suites, occupant had tho earth dishes before checking out.
Pessima esperienza.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was great for city centre. Staff friendly and helpful and room was clean and very quiet for sleeping in even though our room was directly opposite the lift doors.
- Vanessa (6/5): - Close enough walk to town
No bedding for baby crib or face cloths. Shower only no bath. Breakfast basic for price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Liked the pool, didn’t like that we didn’t have a small welcome pack ie a tea bag and coffee, milk just enough for a cuppa as we arrived late and there was nowhere to get anything until the morning, Also to have fresh towels and replace the toilet paper during our 4 night stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant good sized quiet clean room, would stay again. Staff friendly
- WorldTraveller (4/5): - Overall: Meh! This is a 3-star hotel, despite any references otherwise (it's advertised on the entrance). It was good for sleeping and being close to downtown, but don't expect much else. For USA, this is like a Motel 6 type hotel.
PROS: Distance to downtown; gated parking was on site and convenient (but watch out for folks who park in unmarked areas - you may get stuck). Staff was friendly and multilingual.
CONS: Carpets desperately need cleaning/replacing; our toilet leaked (mgmt only offered to put down towels to soak up the stinking water - no discount or other compensatory offers for the inconvenience). Breakfast dining area is small, which requires you to book either an early or late dining time. Grapefruit juice was rancid (how does that even happen?). Check out time is 10 AM (so much for relaxing on the day you leave)!
MET EXPECTATIONS: Beds were rather cheap (felt like foam tops on a hard surface); hard floors in the bedrooms; B-fast was OK - basic offerings. Television is rather small, but offers several channels. Climate control - didn't really use it as it was Fall when we went, but it seemed to be convenient to control the temps (both hot and cold). There are two soap dispensers provide; one in the bathroom and one in the shower (pump-type, shampoo/body wash-in-one). Electrical outlets on either side of the bed.
- Choo (10/5): - Property was excellent and well located. The hotel was a short walk from downtown Colmar.Spacious rooms, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Brian (10/5): - Friendly staff, nice room. Hotel is located a short walk from the old city. Would stay here again.
- CORNU (10/5): very nice days - very nice room and calm. no noise. really cumfortable. very nice stay
- Greg (10/5): - Property was excellent and well located. A little difficult to get on right street at first. One hostess excellent! Other one not so much!
- Lorenza (10/5): Colmar - The hotel is very comfortable
- peter (10/5): - Very good, friendly and efficient check in, good facilities, near town centre, comortable and quiet.
- Rxy (6/5): - My room wasn't available by 3 pm. Furthermore, you are only today that the reception isn't 24 hours once you make the booking. What's worse is that the attendants left before 10 pm (by 9:20 pm the reception was empty). The swimming pool is a kid's swimming pool and not really suitable for adults and this is not indicated on the main description page.
- paul (10/5): Lovely apartment in Beautiful Colmar - A great comfortable apartment in a fantastic central location in Colmar. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a nice place for a family stay in a beautiful part of France.
- Christina (10/5): - The pool was great with the waterfall and massage jets. The hotel was a short walk from downtown Colmar.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location, new accomodation - Clean, good condition, good location. Nice little swimming pool for the kids. I would recommend it.
- Linda (8/5): Ok - Ok hotel, wouldn’t say it’s 4 stars though. No shampoo, body wash, etc. in room. Shower cubicle was full of someone’s body hair, not very pleasant, cleaned it myself.
- Hampton Pilot (10/5): Convenient - Stayed for one night on a trip through Alsace. Hotel is conveniently placed on the way in and is a ten minute easy walk into the centre of the old town. Spacious rooms, helpful staff, plentiful breakfast much to like. There is no restaurant but plenty of choice in the old centre.
- DIANNE (10/5): - Lots of space very warm and lovely towels. Helpful extras in the kitchen (herbs coffee condiments). A teapot would have made it perfectly
