Ian (10/5): - This hotel is above Mykanos with a steep walk up and down BUT well worth it for the amazing views of the town which we loved sitting and watching the boats and people coming and going. You can also watch the sunset over the hills from here. The hotel will also do free transfers which we’d recommend. Staff super helpful and there are lots of different seats to relax by the pool and enjoy the views. We would book again. There is a nearby supermarket and restaurant, above the hotel.

keith (10/5): Lovely rustic stay - Very friendly and helpful owners. Rustic type accommodation, that was lovely. A quiet pool area and lovely views over Mykonos. We walked every day into the town. Which is a fairly steep climb but we (in our mid 60's) managed ok. Loads of restaurants, that are fairly expensive. But overall a lovely town with lots of wiggly streets.

The owners Marina and her husband were wonderful. They provide snacks, sandwiches, and beverages including beer and wine for a very reasonable charge. Accessibility is pretty treacherous and most people make you walk down the hill for a ride. Access to town is only a 10 minute walk downhill but walking back up the hill depends on your fitness. Ladies don't wear heels!

Matthew (10/5): Expectations exceeded at La Veranda! - Awesome stay at La Veranda! This was my second trip to Mykonos - having stayed in a private villa near super paradise the first time around. I much preferred my stay at La Veranda - clean and comfortable room, beautiful property overall including a stunning sunrise that others pay to enjoy next door at 180 sunset bar and really hospitable owners that treat you super well throughout. They arranged transport for us from the port (ferry from Santorini) and it was a quick trip. Yes there's a hill/road to climb to get to the hotel but that's why the view is worth it! Also, most other hotels are on similar hills and it was fine via ATV as well (there's parking easily). We had a pool area view and it was super cute. Will absolutely stay here again on future visits!
Constantinos (6/5): I was expecting more for what we paid. - Not pave road to the parking, You can easily damage your car. The room was not feeling clean. I am not sure if the bed was clean because I saw some hair and small things under the sheets. Wifi was not working! The tv was broken, we asked to fix it but was still there. The lady at the front desk was little rude. She was asking me to provide her the credit card that I did the reservation and I paid 5 months earlier. I didn’t bring that card with me on the trip. The only nice thing was the view and the part that was next to town. Also the 2 people that are cleaning outside the property was nice and very friendly.

Keith (10/5): We enjoyed the view and hospitality at La Veranda. - We loved this accomodation - the care from the owners is excellent. They fulfilled our every wish and even made our pickup from the airport and later to the ferry port so convenient. I would gladly stay again and recommend the hotel. One caveat, which is not a deal breaker - the footpath and road for transportation is somewhat steep, so you might want to be aware of it when physical restrictions are present. On site there are a few stairs to take to the reception. We found the wifi fully acceptable.

They helped planned our whole stay and gave a lot of good recommendations. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Cons: You need a rental vehicle to get around or you'll spend a small fortune in cabs. Double bed in Greece means one bed for two people and not twin beds, which this hotel doesn't have. Wifi barely worked.

H (10/5): Gorgeous views over the port and at sunset - Very comfortable hotel, done up in a modern style with a nautical theme. We got a room on the veranda overlooking the port. Stunning. Very nice pool and outdoor lounge area. We were picked up in their own van at the port. Very helpful. Room was very nice, low bed, strong air con. Bathroom was interesting with two steps up to get into the shower. toilet flush like many places in Greece is not so strong. Don't throw paper down the loo. !! Overall a very very nice stay.

Very clean and washing machine in bathroom. Would recommend it absolutely however just be aware of the hill climb to get home! It's only a little one!!!! .... good exercise!

Katherine (10/5): Quaint family fun hotel exceeded my expectations - The couple who own the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. They provide free transfers to the ports, arranged motorbikes at a discount and booked a wonderful Delos trip for us. They made us feel welcome and at home at the hotel. It's also conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the city center so you can enjoy a quiet and wonderful view of the water. Make sure to check out the local restaurant Oregano just 2 minute walk up the hill for reasonably priced local food.

Joel (6/5): Great views, kind staff! - Hotel and staff were great, small but good rooms with nice small pool. It's hard to describe this place because it was very nice, but the insane cliff that we were on distracted the whole experience. In order to get down to the shops/beach, you have to walk down a billion stairs and crazy steep hill!!!!!! The walk down was nerve racking and I couldn't imagine being old or a kid trying to do this, don't even think of putting heels on or dress shoes and going for it. Then, walking back up is insane! Total work out and exhaustion. The views are amazing, amenities great, staff awesome. But as you can see, I just can't get over the walk. If you are young and able, great value, price, and location.

William (8/5): charming hilltop oasis - The Veranda was pretty much as expected after reading other reviews. Bathroom fairly tight but manageable. Free transport to and from airport and ferry port by Andreas was a big plus. The walk uphill to the market or uphill from town is strenuous and not for those who may be out of shape. But great sunset views and cheap large chilled carafes of white wine (€6) were a bargain. The dorm size refrigerater made loud cycling nioses every few minutes, but we got used to it.Bed was typically Greek firmness. I slept on top of the duvet as I was too hot under it. A single sheet would have been nice. Owners very nice and accommodating however the wife was the only one who spoke English. We thought it was a great place for the price.

Kaitlyn (10/5): Great hotel - We had a great stay at La Veranda. We were picked up at the port and taken right to our room- even had a little time to unwind and watch the sunset before checking in. The hotel room was very nice and spacious, with a view of the whole Mykonos city harbor. The hotel is up on the hill- so away from the center of the city, which we enjoyed because it was actually quiet and felt peaceful. The walk down to the center was only about 10 minutes- it is a steep hill going up, but again, the walk is worth it just for the peacefulness offered by being outside of the center. The next day we were provided with transportation to the airport and port (we both were going separate ways). Overall, great experience at La Veranda.
Stella (8/5): Beautiful and quiet guesthouse - The guesthouse is located on a slope, about 5 min walking downhill and 10 min uphill because the slope is quite steep and there are quite a few steps of stairs. You will be amazed at the view of the town when you get to the guesthouse though. It's worth the walk. The staff is nice and helpful. The design and the decoration of the public area are very detailed and thoughtful. The guesthouse is being run by a family and is very well-maintained. There was a cockcroach in my room which might come from the outside when we opened the balcony door during the day. The room is fine but the public area is much more outstanding than the room inside. I will recommend the guesthouse to everyone and will probably stay there again if I will ever come back to Mykonos.
ash (8/5): Close to Mykonos town! - This hotel was greatly situated with a quick walk to Mykonos town. There is a million restaurants and fantastic shops! For a younger crowd, it is a fair way away from the super clubs but there are ways to book taxis at the reception of the hotel :)
Diego (8/5): Good Hotel, a bit of a steep walk - The hotel is OK, for the money you pay is good value for money, the decoration of the room is quite tacky, but is clean.. the only issues I had were that first, the water can get really hot, I actually burnt my hand while washing them, and second, it is sooo steep to walk to the hotel, walking from the town up to the hotel is like doing an hour of cardio, so be ready for that.
