Was nice to have access to a gym even though we did not use it. It would be nicer to have a cooler temperature in breakfast, entry and hallways. Housekeeping loud while moving about. Staff nice.

- Jeffrey T (8/5): Good hotel, great service. - The hotel is located to the far side of the old town, which is to the far side of Istanbul total. The trip to the airport at SAW was about 1.5 hours in a non-air conditioned van. The main beds in each suite are fine. The additional beds at narrow with a thin mattress, like a cot. That might be fine, if yo are traveling with small children. It was not so good with three grown adults. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were okay. The same every morning. The air-conditioning in the hotel room was a life-saver in the heat of Istanbul. We were able to rest well.

Our experience was disturbed by these facts. We had the impression that some staff members were manipulative and not up to it: reception in the afternoon shift. The local neighborhood has numerous good bars, restaurants as well as convenience stores. The hotel overlooks the sea and certainly the room we had with balcony had superb views. The staff at the hotel were excellent throughout. Always available to help out with any recommendations - all of which were great choices. We really enjoyed our weeks stay here.

The view out to the Bosphorous was very good. Breakfast was good. Very good room service each day which we don't normally use but did here as this helped with the stay. It needs a good makeover but I understand the economic realities of trying to do this in this economy. Not expensive by any means and so value was good.

- ROBIN (8/5): - Most positive elements were friendly staff and proximity to The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Room was cute but small for the three of us (we travelled with our 14-year-old). Night staff was helpful but had limited English proficiency. Day staff was also helpful and had better command of English. Byzantine little street is cute but a little impractical. We found a nice little restaurant a block away and the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque are only a couple of blocks farther. Nice view out our window of the sea and an ancient wall being refurbished. We asked the evening clerk for a recommendation about live music and were directed to a live show a quick car drive away. The music was canned and the show was mostly belly dancing and some regional folk dancing, which wasn't really what we were looking for.

- Helen (10/5): - Charming hotel, great location, highly efficient and professional staff. Only quibbles are that the foam pillows are hard as rocks and breakfast coffee is substandard. A Nespresso machine that does not cost extra at least at breakfast if not in all rooms would add a lot, as would daily fresh water bottles. Charging extra for those amenities seems a bit chintzy; I would suggest just increasing the daily room rate by $5 for everyone would more than cover the added costs. View of the Sea of Marmara from our room and the breakfast area is fantastic. Travelers with mobility challenges should be warned that the area, like much of Istanbul, can be a bit difficult to navigate by walking.
- Amanda (10/5): - There are so many great things about this property. I’d start with the amazing staff, so helpful and friendly, accommodating your every needs. The location is perfect for exploring the old city, walking distance to major attractions as well as dozens of restaurants and shops. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I can genuinely recommend GLK Premier Sea Mansion Suites and Spa for your next trip to Istanbul!

The bathroom and shower were also very good. The location was borh quiet and quite convenient to all the nearby attractions. Very safe neighborhood. Finally, the staff were very friendly and informative, and catered to all your needs. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all at GLK for making our week long stay memorable.
- Sherri (4/5): - I booked this hotel for the Turkish Bath. I received very little information about the process, even after stating that this was my first Turkish bath. After an hour in the sauna and bath, I tried calling for my attendant. The phone didn't work. I finally went out to the front desk to ask. He told me that I had no attendant since I didn't sign up for the massage. WHAT?? Therefore, I wasted an hour in a sauna/steam room without getting the scrub that IS part of a Turkish bath. My one and only time to experience a Turkish bath didn't happen and was a waste of time. Very disappointed.

- Heather (8/5): - There were two great highlights to this hotel - the location and the front desk representative, Salih. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern. Salih was warm and welcoming and helped with a nice dinner recommendation. He gave me a nice welcome drink of water and orange juice. The hotel itself was just okay. Breakfast was decent, but needed more protein options. My main challenges were with the maintenance and general room conditions. The shower head sprayed everywhere, there seemed to be sand all over my floor, and the pillows were very flat.
- HAYLEY LOUISE (6/5): - The image of the room i thought i was getting was not what i was given. I paid for a suite to sleep 3 people , what i got was a very small double room with a pop up bed and the tram ran until midnight right underneath my window. I had no option but to check out after our first night . I feel i have been overcharged for a much smaller room at premium price . Breakfast was ok. The staff seemed nice though.

- Leslie (10/5): - Fabulous staff. My only suggestion is to replenish complimentary bottled water as needed as tap was not potable. It was inconvenient to have to stop for a large bottle every day. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel and will be returning with my husband.

Was at first given a room in the basement of a their annex building, which in face did not have a sea view, instead it had a view of some construction and train tracks that shook the room when trains passed by, and had bugs in the bathroom. After the first night in the basement, was moved up a floor in the annex building, and still did not have the sea view of balcony that I booked. I appreciate that the management tried to help out, but I was given significantly less than I paid for.

- Angela (10/5): - The hotel is located within a short walking distance to the Blue Mosque. It is very convenient. We booked a room with a view of the Bosporus, which is worth the extra costs as the view is incredible. We pre-arranged airport pickup with the hotel. The instructions as to pick-up location were a bit confusing and we had to call the hotel for clarifications. But other than that, everything went very smoothly.

I really loved this hotel but most important the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Whatever we asked they were always there to help us . I would also highly recommend the massages and the hammas bath with Elena and her sister . They were the best I had is Turkey.
