• Marija (9/5): - We had an amazing stay. The apartment was squeaky clean when we arrived, and was cleaned once more during our stay (4 nights). The location is PERFECT. Sultanahmet square is 1-2 minutes away by foot and from there everything else is super close by. Our car was parked in the private parking spot right in front of the hotel - which was also amazing. The host is very nice and very helpful - he gave us all the information we needed and more. We would gladly come back 🤗

The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, which makes exploring the area incredibly convenient. The upstairs was very small, the sink in the room and the bathroom also. For one day we didn’t have hot water, but Emir fixed it at the moment. I have an advice(not for the property)-don’t go to the near restaurants.

La posizione è eccellente: si trova nel pieno centro di Sultanahmet, a pochi passi da tutte le principali attrazioni di Istanbul. Le camere erano pulite, confortevoli e dotate di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno piacevole. Un ringraziamento speciale va al ragazzo che gestisce la struttura: sempre gentilissimo, disponibile e pronto ad aiutarci per qualsiasi esigenza. Ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni utili per visitare la città, ha organizzato per noi il transfer da e per l’aeroporto e anche una splendida crociera sul Bosforo. Ogni mattina ci offriva caffè e tè turco, un gesto davvero apprezzato. Consigliatissimo! Torneremmo volentieri.

La chambre est minuscule, single peut-être mais jamais double. Au plus 7 m2, douche et toilettes 2 M2. Pas comme indiqué (13M2). Elle ne correspond nullement aux photos. Elle est située au rez-de-chaussée (la seule d'ailleurs ). Pas d'armoires ni rangements pour les valises, notre linge est resté dans les valises durant le séjour. On s'est senti très à l'étroit. À qui la faute booking ou le propriétaire de l'hôtel ?

The window blinds let the sunlight in the room in the morning, there is no way to keep the room dark to sleep. Some towels had holes in them. The room is not as nice as in the photos. The front door of the hotel is very noisy and we could hear it from our room. It waked me up a few times, had to sleep with ear plugs. There is no luggage storage in this hotel so we had to leave our luggage in an other hotel for a fee on the first and last day.

Very nice clean room and comfortbale with everything you need. Perfect for couples on a budget. Aircon works great. I would highly reccomend this place. Besides the narrow steps you may have to climb with suitcases, depending on which floor you’re at as there is no elevator in the hotel (We were at the top floor number 3). Bilal was very helpful with carrying these up with me as i was travelling with my mother, aunty and pregnant wife who couldnt lift the suitcases. Thank you
• Georgia (10/5): A beautiful hotel in the Old City! - Emir Hotel is in a wonderful location, right in the Old City close to all the main sites. The big windows in our room on the second floor brought in great natural light. The small kitchenette was perfect, and the AC worked very well in the heat of summer! The staff were all very welcoming. They didn’t offer free breakfast, like we’ve experienced everywhere else in Turkey. But that’s okay!

Cleanliness was on par and even better than other Hotel I've stayed at in Istanbul 😏 I will defenetly be back next time I am in Istanbul 😌

But, I received a different room & toilet smell was bad - Friendly host, excellent location, comfortable bed, good amenities, the cleaning was done every 2 days, they allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby after check-out because we had a late flight From the moment I've made the reservation and until my trip, they've renovated their hotel. This means that I received a different room from the one that was first presented. They said I've booked an economic room and there's nothing they can do. I accepted this because I didn't want to argue about it. The room was grossly unfinished, the bathroom toilet smell was very bad (we had to leave the air vent on our whole trip or it would stink of toilet). All things considered, the bed was comfortable, cleaning was done on time, and the location was great. The host was very friendly, except for one night. The room is located right in the lobby, and you can hear EVERYTHING (especially at night). So, everyone that came in through the hotel's door, what they talk about, etc. Now, one night the host started listening to very loud music around 1 AM and speaking very loudly. We could obviously hear this as we were 5 steps away sleeping. I had to dress up, go there and ask him to be a bit quieter. He let me wait for like 1 min, while he was on the phone, before talking to me. He was quiet after that, but it was a very strange event.
• Cameron (10/5): Beautifully quaint hotel with AMAZING location - Emir hotel was absolutely magical for my wife and I's honeymoon! The room was simplistic and beautiful, and it was even better than the pictures. Our host was so kind, and the guides he provided us with made our vacation even more memorable. Everywhere we visited, that the host recommended to us, was absolutely amazing. I highly highly recommend this hotel!!!! Honestly nothing. I don't think anyone is booking this hotel for a super luxurious stay because it doesn't have a huge building with amenities like pools and restaurants. The hotel is exactly what it looks like- a quaint hotel with great rooms and service in an absolutely amazing location. If you stay here you won't be disappointed.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Pretty basic - I picked this to crash for a couple of incomplete nights between other regions of Turkey because it was dirt cheap. It did the job but I wouldn't pick it for a proper trip to Istanbul.

Room was nice, bed was comfortable and whole stay there was great as well. Best thing about this accommodation is location: close to many historical localities in Sultanahmet, public transportation, Grand and Egyptian bazar and Eminonu port. This accommodation is great value of money, you can not expect something luxurious for cheap price as this one is. Beside some small shortcomings, I would defined again stay there! I think that sheet and pillow sheet weren't clean, but I always carrying mine, so it doesn't matter. Stairs in hotel are small, but I noticed that many places has similar too.

Perhaps some heavier curtains on the window to keep the light out at night. Anyone with mobility issues should request a ground floor room as the stairs are narrow.

• Yara (1/5): Left bathroom trash bag on my belongings - Nothing except the location. I stayed here for 3 nights. I've had a horrendous experience and I completely advise against this hotel. First, I arrived from my flight very late at night to find torn and stained towels. I asked for them to be changed and the receptionist tried to convince me they were fine - when they had tears, stains and someone's hair in them, but eventually changed them. Second, there was no hot water in the shower. I asked the receptionist on the way out to take a look. When I returned, another receptionist lied and told me that they had tried it and it was already working. I kept the water on for a long time and it still didn't work, so I went back to the receptionist who came to my room to check it and finally "believed" that it wasn't working. He had it fixed. Finally and most horrifying, on the 3rd day I came to the room to find my bathroom trash bag sitting on the dresser above my belongings including a box of food!!!! Even if it was forgotten, that says quite enough about the cleanliness and hygiene in this place. Not to mention the overall cleanliness of the room was very poor. The AC is very weak. And the room was on the 3rd floor with no lift so I had to go up and down the stairs every time I had to talk to the staff. This is the most horrible hotel experience I've had and I 100% recommend against it.

Bottom sheet wasn’t fitted and too small for the bed so kept coming undone and ended up and ended up sleeping directly on the mattress

• Carlos (7/5): Good but not great (except Staff and Location) - - Location was exceptional, you can visit the main touristic places by just a 10-15 minute walk, it feels very safe as well - Staff were splendid (the 2 guys), they really tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible, they were very friendly and helpful, they provided recommendations for places to go (and NOT to go as most restaurants in the area have double or even tripled the prices due to tourists not knowing what prices should be reasonable), they also helped book the taxi to the airport and MADE sure that the taxi charged a fixed price agreed before your departure from the hotel) - Internet was surprisingly very fast and stable, you can easily stream whatever you want with good quality - The bathroom was not very clean and we had issues with the water not draining fast enough during a normal shower, this caused the shower to turn into a small pool... the good thing is that the staff fixed the issue the next day after reporting it - Bed was not very comfortable mostly due to the mattress that was quite thin, the pillows were not very good as well and the bedsheets even though they were clean, in some cases you could still see old stains
