As it was the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, we scrambled to find accommodations for the night, costing quite a bit more than we had planned...

Breakfast was suppose to be available 6 to 9 and when I went to get a receipt, I had to ring the door bell because he was still in bed! Neighbors played their music really loud!

- David (4/5): - The staff was not nice. They would not give me a receipt of my visit or explain why my $100 deposit was not refunded. I would not recommend this place. It's really a motel not "Suites"!

- Adriana (7/5): Good - For working people, the hotel is very good. But for family or for a leisure stay, not so much. The noise from the trucks and the people in the early mornings is very loud. You cannot rest.

- Patsy (6/5): Non Refundable - My stay was not very good but my check in was exceptional. The room was very spacious and clean. However, I was very disappointed when I entered the bathroom and saw the bath towels that I was supposed to use. They looked very dirty as if they had never been washed. The sheets and pillows cases looked the same way too. The remote control to the television did not work and I could not change the channels. The door to the room had a gap between the lock and wall with duck tape. This is my first time staying at this motel and it is probably my last time. I wondered why they were the only Motel/Hotel in Big Lake that was non refundable now I know why!

- William (6/5): - There was no breakfast available, only coffee in your room. The carpet was ripped and the refrigerator made noises. Everything was old and most of it worn. On the bright side, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The bathroom was very small but clean.

- Devin (2/5): - My wife booked me a room for the night, but she accidentally booked for the wrong night. She called the hotel and the guy that answered was hateful and rude. He yelled and cussed my wife out. He kept saying who the f**ck did you call, you need to call these f****n people here. My wife politely asked about a refund and the guy said it was her f*n fault that she got the date wrong and would not refund me the money, so I was out 157$. This place is nasty and dirty. The management is just out right horrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

Towels and sheets need bleach, there were stains on the linens. Burn holes in the blanket. And hard water rings in the coffee pot.
- Anonymous (2/5): Very poor - Location It didn’t have a clean feel or smell. The towels were so dingy and dirty and nasty , they should have been embarrassed to even put them in the room. Sheets were not any better. Just about all the light fixtures had no light bulbs and the one that did, it just kept flickering..The shower curtain smelled so bad , it needed to be replaced.It has a kitchenette but I can’t tell you if it was clean or dirty because I never even opened them to use .The man at the front desk was kind of rude not friendly at all , he acted like we were bothering him when we were asking questions. Check out time is 10 am and at 8 am the cleaning person was already trying to get in our room not to mention that we had booked it for two nights ..I don’t recommend this place

And the room was not at all how it was described online. The "pull out bed" didn't even exist its just a "couch big enough for one person or 2 Small children at best. We had stayed here before and it wasn't bad but this trip wasn't so great. Room falsely advertised and staff is unfriendly.

- Jeffery (1/5): The stay was horrible. - The workes were rude when we had bed bugs in our bed. The front desk worker acted like we were lying when we told them our room had bed bugs.
- Arlene (1/5): if possible, stay somewhere else!! - nothing the door didn’t lock except for the latch, the room itself smelled horrible, was supposed to stay 3 nights but could only handle 1 night, the manager refused to refund or change my room, found a small device hidden at the top of tv was told that it was a remote access controller unplugged it and the remote worked just fine without it, both my spouse and I left sick after spending 1 night there

But, there is also clearly a supply and demand issue in the area with so many workers needing a place to stay. There were definitely places that looked worse.

- bucklong (10/5): Great place to Stay - My husband I were in Big Lake to turkey hunt nearby. This motel is great. It was clean, beds were very good. And we loved the convenience of parking right in front of our room since we had a lot gear to bring into the room at night. And it was quiet...no highway noise at all. If we return to Big Lake for turkey season next year, we will definitely stay there.
- Jgslx (10/5): Excellent service - Big lake inn and suites is an absolute amazing value. I can not begin to express my feelings for the value and staff . The rooms are spacious, clean and maintained on a daily basis. The kitchenette is rather helpful for the extended business stay. Beds and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. Bbq pits available through the entire facility. If I could absolutely recommend anything it would a happy hour for guest with free adult beverages. But that’s it.. great place!!!!

- Kimberly (6/5): My mom refers to this motel as the sketchy one - The rooms looks like it has been newly remodeled sloppily. There were fingerprints on all the inside and outside doors and walls. The deadbolt didn't work. The free WiFi was nonexistent (at check-in they explained is was the companies fault, not theirs) as was the free breakfast (fruit loops and coffee). They did have a hot plate which I thought would be nice if you needed to stay for a while. I'm not planning on going throughout Big Lake again ever so I don't have to worry if I would need to stay here again.
- weeatpie (6/5): Maid service needs to pay attention to finger marks on doors. - We ended up in this town only because everything was booked on I-10 for some reason. So we adjusted our travel route and found Big Lake Inn. The proprietor is so very nice and helpful and the hotel is fine with large rooms. Our only issue is that........and I understand this town caters to the oil workers.......the finger and hand prints on the room door and the bathroom door. Goodness! We also noticed on one of the bathroom walls had splashes of mud/dirt on it. But the room itself was clean and we had a comfortable night sleep.
