Guest Reviews
- Courtney (8/5): - Room was clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. Perfect stay for Golden 1 event.
- Jesse (4/5): - I was shocked that this room was over $300. It was easily comparable to a Motel 8. The walls in the room and bathrooms were disgusting. Spills that had obviously been there for a long time. Bedding was extremely poor quality. I actually pulled things off the bed to check for bed bugs (there weren't any).
- Kristen (8/5): Clean basic.motel - This was a fine place to sleep for a night. Everything was very basic, but clean. As a parent traveling alone with a child, I felt a little uneasy about a couple of the stated rules as they're usually just implied and hopefully everybody abides by them. These included no unpaid guests would be allowed to visit and every guest would have their own bed unless they were an adult couple.. I wonder what kind of clientele have gone to this place if they have to stage such rules.. I'm glad they're looking out for everyone's safety though.
- CELESTINO (10/5): - The lady that runs the place, is very nice. She understanding if have any issues. The place is in good condition, clean and quiet.
Room is a little dated and some damage. But everything worked. Will stay again.
- Geane (8/5): - Polite counter lady. Clean room. No tissue paper. BUT, Got what we paid for. Satisfied in our inexpensive room. Plenty of dining nearby.
- Josiah (2/5): - I was targeted by guest and staff lucky I got away with my life stay far away. Unsafe for anyone.
- william (10/5): - I was looking for clean and affordable, traveling with my kids and needed to have a quiet place to sleep the night. Beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the staff was responsive to my requests.
- Devin (8/5): - My stay was very pleasant and my room was mostly quiet. The only problem was that the ice machine broke down on my last full day there and it was really hot outside. The ice would have been really nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall very nice! - The owners were very nice. It was very clean. The microwave stopped working but obviously that's bound to happen eventually. Overall good stay the AC and heater is very efficient. And the beds are comfortable. There was a long mirror which was great for the purpose of my trip: a cosplay convention, (mirrors are needed for makeup and costumes.)
- Kale (6/5): - This property was good for the price.
- Stewart L. (2/5): - Very inconsiderate landscapers blowing at 8am and contractors working at 8 am
stomping above
sketchy area - lots of homeless
very dirty room and bathroom
toilet wouldn't flush
toiletries were terrible
no facial tissue
towels were stained
Ice machine broken
no vending
Bedding and furniture were very old- 25 years or more
Unsafe area
please choose elsewhere.
- Marina (2/5): - Worker was fixing furniture above our room until 2:30 AM — hammering, drilling, dragging things across the floor. He literally saw us checking in, but didn’t care at all. It felt like construction site noise all night. Me and my husband had a completely sleepless night, and for a hotel this is unacceptable. Absolutely terrible experience. Don’t recommend this place at all!
- Min (6/5): - Still need to improve bathroom
- Brandon (10/5): - Nice
- Stacy (8/5): - Good people
- Jon (6/5): - Ice machine was empty :(
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect for a Quick Night in Sacramento - The hotel was a fantastic choice for seeing a baseball game at Sutter Health Park and avoiding the overpriced hotels downtown. The room was a bit dated, especially in the bathrooms, but it was well maintained. There were occasionally some savory characters outside, but that's out of the control of the hotel. I would happily stay there again.
- CLYDE (6/5): - the room was ok nothing special. mattress little firm.
did like the frig and microwave.
- John (10/5): Echo Lodge - Always a great stay. Quiet and rolms are kept very well clean.
- Robert (10/5): Very clean and a great value - Everything in the room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Quiet setting through the stay. Good shower with tub. Nice to have a refrigerator. Very good value overall.
- Maria (10/5): - Good enough for a one night stay before an early flight. Staff was very kind. Would’ve liked a coffee pot.
- Loretta (8/5): - Staff very helpful.
- Denise (8/5): - Just getting away for a weekend
- Yung-han (10/5): - Nice place
- Abraham (10/5): - Super-fast check-in, easy to. park and maneuver in parking lot.
- Cheryl Ann (6/5): - Not the best, but not the worst
- Corina (8/5): - Very clean
- Matthew (10/5): - Good spot for a quick trip
- Tomas (10/5): - Very kind staff. We stayed for a couple days and come and go as we please. Safe place
- Yun Chung (8/5): - The property manager at the front was fantastic. You can request additional towels, hairdryer, and iron as needed. The room is a bit stale and I had really bad allergies in the room that got better almost as soon as I stepped outside. Bed and pillows are actually nice. Blanket the thin sheets. AC loud but functional. Toilet was struggling with flushing cleanly consistently.
Not bad for the price, but bring allergy meds and your own toothbrush.
- Kent (10/5): - N/A
- Anastasiia (10/5): - Good
- RICK (4/5): - Room had older bathroom features and furniture. Some stains and discoloration on walls and furniture. Found some roaches in the bathroom.
- Joseph (8/5): - Good value. Not far from downtown, sutter park. Had a good stay. Staff was helpful, polite, and hard working.
- Lorena (10/5): - Echo Lodge was very comfortable and in a nice location in West Sacramento. We walked to a nearby gyro shop for dinner, and really enjoyed our stay!
- Darlene (6/5): - Older property. Bed not very comfortable. Furnishings were old and outdated. Many cable stations were not accessible. Property owners were pleasant and accommodating as much as possible.
- layne (8/5): - Nice room dated but clean great lady at front desk very kind
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bed finally got a cushion top, made for better sleeping.
- Greg (10/5): - I had low expectations, and they were exceeded! The room was nice and cozy and luckily I had no loud neighbors. I checked-in late which was a breeze and checking out was even breezier. Would stay again!
- Norma (10/5): - Very Family Friendly, would visit again
- Cheree (10/5): Nice - Its our go too place we come here everytime were out here.
- Galen (6/5): - The check in was easy. The location was as convenient.
The WiFi was intermittent and frustrating.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice people, nice room, good price. I found a small fast moving roach. The area is a bit isolated but is a short Uber for lots of stuff.
- jack (10/5): - In the middle of West Sacramento shopping and food.
- Luciano (4/5): Dated - Check was bizarre, could not enter office area had to check in through the doorway. Super strong odor in room, furniture is very worn and beds very uncomfortable. No coffee available etc. Area was very noisy.
- Joan (8/5): - Older property in a modest residential area. Owner seems to be trying to update building but the rooms still show wear & tear. Convenient to freeways, relatively quiet.
- Neal (6/5): - Mold in the bathroom. Bathroom sink has a leak
- Dassie (10/5): - Not bad for 1 night stay and very economical
- miguel (10/5): grrreat experience - the living is easy
- toua (10/5): - Nice clean place. They were very accommodating. We showed up after midnight and woke them up around 8am, sorry. Very close to Old Sac. Enjoyed our weekend. Would stay there again.
- Christopher (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the rooms as it is an older building.
Nicely maintained!!
- Steve (10/5): - It was a great peaceful area. No homeless people roaming around the parking lot like in other areas. The area around was really relaxed and parking lot was clean. The room was coz bit outdated but still had a great night sleep
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good stay nice and quiet and staff is really nice
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great affordable stay - We used this stay for the night only. The place was clean and the area looked good. Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Good place and affordable.
- Lane (8/5): Great & Comfortable Stay With Some Worries - My girlfriend and I had a very solid time at this location. I only spoke with staff twice, but they were very courteous and respectful both times. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was spacious. The only noteworthy issues were that the shower drain was clogged somewhat each night and would only drain the water very slowly, and that there appeared to be slight signs of mold on the bathroom walls/ceiling due to the moisture from showering. However, besides those problems it was a great stay for a great price. I could see myself going here again, especially if those issues are resolved.
- Diego (10/5): Nice people - It all turns down to a snail in reception and the good will to take care of passengers and that is what I found.
- jack (10/5): - Easily accessible property that's very clean and I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent budget hotel ... clean, equiped with frig. & microwave ... located in safe neighborhood... supermarket, convenience stores, fast foods are within walking distances.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was clean but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, I couldn’t sleep the whole night, in another words the hotel only was good to take a shower otherwise I would’ve been better slept in my car for the only night I stayed at the Echo Lodge, not to mention all the activity of the working girls that were coming in and out from the hotel.
- George (2/5): - none
- Marcus (4/5): - Decent area, staff was cool, but the cleanliness was terrible, hairs all over, dirty walls and only had a thin blanket and sheet to sleep with.
- Malena (10/5): - For the price it was acceptable. It's in a area that's not that nice and is old.
- Dean (4/5): - Bed was uncomfortable, room was noisy, neighbor room had tv on very loud all night
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bathroom light fixture needs a 2nd bulb, it's burned out and too dark in there. (I made this note on the last visit as well.) Quiet stay, not a lot of guests this time of year.
- Dennis (8/5): - The room smelled stale when we arrived.
- Lisa (6/5): - My only complaint was that the tv never worked.
- Raquel (2/5): - Bad actitud
- Denise (10/5): - Stay here several times a year... convenient to Sacramento while less expensive.
- jerrell (10/5): - The room had a pungent smell
- Cheree (10/5): Happy - This my favorite place when we come to Sacramento
- Rebeca (8/5): - This is a quiet place to stay, especially if you're on a budget. The office staff is very friendly and it was an easy check-in/checkout. The room and bathroom were clean although a bit outdated. We would definitely stay here again.
- Diana (8/5): - The rooms were nice and clean! I reserved a non-smoking room but due to an error in the system they were actually all reserved already and I ended up being given a smoking room. Besides the smoke smell, the room was great. Fridge and microwave worked and were pretty convenient
- Georgia (10/5): Good bang for your buck - It was nice. Bed was comfortable and there was functioning A/C and heater.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and safe - The office staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. The bathroom light didn't work.
- Jessica (10/5): - I stayed here during the Aftershock festival. Very quiet neighborhood, room has everything you need. I stayed in a king room with a friend. We were comfortable the whole time. Front desk let us check in early and gave us as late of a check out as they could. It was a wonderful experience, I'd come back next year.
- Alyssa (6/5): - There was mold in the showers
- Floyd C (8/5): - Better than a lot in the area!
- Stephen (8/5): - Apparently the only one of dozens of aging motels on West Capitol that's listed on this site. Bare bones for sure (but unlike Motel 6 you at least get shampoo) and predictably worn, but if you're looking for a clean, inexpensive no-frills room where everything works, look no further. The area is hardly upscale but it's safe, and there are plenty of inexpensive dining options nearby (including Middle Eastern), which unfortunately I didn't have the chance to check out.
- Leslie (10/5): - Comfy cozy room that was clean and welcoming. Has a fridge, microwave, tv, air conditioning, and wifi. Very pleasing that I could keep drinks cold, and cook my protein muffins in the microwave for breakfast. I had to unplug, then plug in the box on the tv else had no sound (I had watched Sweetie do that after I called her...she had come right up to my room to help me) whenever I changed the channel or turned off tv...no biggie. People are very nice!
- Glenn (6/5): - Very worn interior
- David (8/5): - Clean room.. good condition.. Good value..
I'd recommend curved bathtub curtains
- Ferdows (10/5): - Perfect place it’s my second time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Regular visits - I've stayed here many times, affordable and clean. Only ongoing issue is the beds are too hard. Wake up with back pain...need to add a layer of mattress cushion under the sheets.
- Samantha (8/5): - Staff at the property were lovely, but the area felt a little unsafe and not much was open.
- Bambi Michelle (6/5): - The covers had cigarette burns all over them and several pubic hair in shower and on toilet. You could hear everything everybody else was doing.
- Michael (4/5): - Location
- Daniel (10/5): - I stay here quite often, the staff is very nice and has always treated me very good. It’s a decent place with decent prices and I love it. Highly recommended!
- John (8/5): - It was simple and comfy enough to rest, no complaints just a place to sleep nothing bad or fancy to expect just safe enough to park and close eyes for the night
- April (2/5): - Didn't stay here.
- Tanisha (10/5): - I always book with them because I have no reason to book elsewhere. Always friendly staff, clean rooms, easy parking, very quiet and very close to downtown .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value - Good clean, low price, quiet, motel. Furniture is worn. Neighborhood has lots of people wandering around. I would stay there again if I needed an economy motel.
- Danylo (8/5): - good motel for an affordable price
- Dawn (4/5): - Tv didn’t work. Crumbs on bed dirty towel
- Walter (6/5): - Movement
- Timothy (6/5): - If you need a low price place to stay. This is a fine.
- Sacra (10/5): - Good
- Tanisha (10/5): - I always stay here when in town. No issues ever!
- Rob (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay
- Sacra (6/5): - Good but don’t raise price.
- Kelly (10/5): - Quiet area and very good experience.
