Guest Reviews
- Carlos (4/5): - Sympa échange avec d’autres personnes, ms on ns a volé des produits alimentaires donc dommage
- einar (10/5): - Good hostel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good
¡Enhorabuena!
- Barbara (10/5): - Posizionato sulla spiaggia pulizia e personale eccellente. Da rivedere il marerasso.Tornerò sicuramente. Consigliato.
- Tiago (10/5): - The cleaningness of the bedrooms and bedding. The staff was ever so friendly. It's so quiet there in low season. I fall asleep listening to the waves every night. The swimming pool is amazing. Kitchen facilities that you can't fault.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good place with windsurfing shops nearby - The common areas are extremely spacious and sparkling. The rooms can be a bit tight because of the number of beds they try to fit in there (5 bunks). I received great service, although the ladies at the desk did not really have any suggestions on food for the nearby area. However, my only roommate who was a Hungarian lady complained to me about their service (she had a last minute dilemma), so I'm not sure whether to trust her stories. The 4 euros for linens is ok; they are clean and so is the room. All the facilities are pretty much in excellent shape, but just don't expect to book windsurfing here despite the name; they don't do that here, or at least not anymore. The location is somewhat remote; it's in a town off the highway but getting to the hostel will take some work or walk if you did not rent a car (if you did, plenty of parking space no worries--I even practiced/learned how to drive manual here! on my own) but you trade that for the peace, quiet, and seaside. Wifi is pretty good! All in all, even though you can surely find hostels cheaper in the main city Las Palmas, I think this is a recommendable place for travelers like me who enjoy the countryside and tranquility.
a conseiller
- Kalle (8/5): - Close the sea ans calmly place. Not long way to south, west or north ;)
- Ms L Middleton (10/5): My trip - Amazing resort right on the beach although remote, only 20mins from airport. Very peaceful and quiet, really clean with all new kitchen utilities. Excellent.
- Daniel (8/5): Simple, good value for the price - +nice big rooms
+nice view
+good value for the Money
+next to the ocean
-Showers are cold
-Common kitchen dirty
-No private bathroom
- Elinor (8/5): very good but hard to get around without car - Very satisfied. Only bad thing I can think of is that there were too few outlets in the dorm bedrooms.
- lynn (10/5): on the beach great for wind surfing or even just w - enjoy stay spacious place stay we friendly
- Paul G (8/5): great for windsurfers and lovers of surf - I loved it because the Price Is Right I had the use of a kitchen and I could listen to the surf all night long. Almost all the other guests were hardcore windsurfers. Good people
- Verified traveler (6/5): A inexpensive option - A 2 week stay in a fairly peaceful place. I would say the other guests were the most annoying part of the trip. I have a 10 bed common room with several loud snoring people.
- Haley (8/5): Great hostel but paper thin walls - Great location, really lovely staff, bright and comfy rooms. We stayed in the centre of the hostel just off the main stairwell so the paper thin walls meant we could hear everything. Perhaps it's better in one of the far corners. Other than that a great stay.
- Nick (8/5): Great cheap hostel - This place was great if you know what you're getting. This is a hostel, you're sharing a room with others. The town of Pozo Izquierdo does not have a lot going on except the surfing companies. You can learn to surf, windsurf or kitesurf all only a very short walk away. The bus system is plenty adequate for heading in to Vecindario, or you can go for a long walk.
Some of the staff were fluent in english, but not all. Communication should not be a problem though, especially if you have at least some broken spanish.
The hotel facilities are decent enough. It had a well kept pool and shared kitchenette as well as a couple lounge rooms. The plumbing did leave something to be desired though. The toilets were dated and the showers only had handheld shower heads with no overhead hooks.
I would definitely stay again, especially for a multiday windsurfing vacation.
