Al (5/5): Good - but room position important - Food and staff were really good, satisfied here. The noise from the general downstairs area penetrated my room and was quite disturbing. Thankfully I was staying mid-week and the area closed before I went to bed - if it was during the weekend it wouldn't have been acceptable.

Nadia (7/5): A good place to stay but a bit inconvenient to have your car parked away from your room. - The room was clean and the aircon worked well. The hotel is in a great location in the town centre and surprisingly quiet. I couldn't find my way out to the carpark in the early morning and ended up leaving half my luggage at a front door and the other luggage I took with me through the maze to eventually find the carpark. I then had to drive around the corner to the door where my luggage was sitting behind. I then had to walk back through the carpark and maze to get back to my luggage and the door where my car was now parked. Lost 20 minutes of travel time.

Young (5/5): Looked good, deeply disappointed - The room had clean fresh linen I didnt realise as not described in the booking. The room is upstairs above a pub, not ideal and i wouldnt have booked the room had i known. No assistance with luggage to room and parking was well away from room. Cups and cutlery still had lipsticks stains and food stuck to them. The curtains were all mishung ,not allowing them to close properly.

No information in the rooms about the hotel ie wifi, after hours contact if needed. Bed was ok, room was dusty, bathroom needed a bit of attention (handle broken on vanity).

Tracey (1/5): Ubacceptable - Na We had NO hot water and when we asked about it they said the kitchen uses all the hot water to clean up at the end of the night which was about 7.30pm and we had to wait till the morning.

The door lock was broken inside, which felt unsafe. The bathroom light was broken and produced a loud noise when turned on. There was little to no interaction with staff. Overall, I would not recommend this place and believe it deserves only a 1-star rating. Patricia (8/5): - Unique architecture and room design. They kept the original high ceilings, brick walls and suite design. Comfy sofa and beds. Loved the whole feel of the place. 🥰 The only things I didn't like were: Overhead lights n the tv room, there were not table lamps and overhead for watching tv is tiresome. For some reason , the pictures on the walls had not been dusted n awhile. I'm sure it was just an oversight because everything else was immaculate. I will b staying again.😎

Broughton (3/5): - Room wasn’t clean, bathroom was filthy, bins hadn’t been taken out. Was no hot water at all. Online it states there is off street secure parking but I was told I had to leave my vehicle on the street. Room was incredibly noisy all night from traffic noise.

Diane (7/5): The accommodation did not meet my expectations - The lounge was spacious and the location quiet. The Indian food was good. The public areas were sterile and uninviting. The entry to 20 of the 24 rooms was from the car park past a large open storeroom full of rubbish and up 19 dirty concrete stairs. Not a good first impression. The bedroom was cramped, with no air conditioning outlet.
