Guest Reviews
- Deborah (10/5): - Good location
- Natalie (10/5): - I felt like we were locals. A friendly neighbourhood. Our host met us, but then left us to enjoy our stay. Manicured lawns, excellent accommodation facilities, comfortable bed, great shower!!! Loved it. Thank you!
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Gillian (9/5): Superb - Quirky little place. Very private. Very comfortable bed. Very clean. Very close to bakery, pub and grocery store The lighting wasn't the best. Very dark
- Sharon (9/5): Really loved our stay -would stay again. - We loved the quiet space -wonderful walking each night from restaurants , bakery, groceries etc .
Short drive to very picturesque and quiet beaches .
Loved the whale watching.
- Anton (2/5): Very expensive for what it offers. Not recommendable - No breakfast
600 m to the beach The owner is very rude and bad-mannered. Terrible customer service.
I sent him several messages (even the day before) and called him by phone for getting the check-in code and he didn't answer me until 6:00 p.m. Once I got to the accommodation with no instructions, he didn't even apologize and very rudely told me that since he's on various platforms he doesn't answer booking messages nor pick up the phone. He told us to leave (I would have liked to do but I had already paid...)
- Carmen (8/5): Very good - Nice and individual. Love the rustic and creative touches.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Peaceful and relaxing location
Great TV with many streaming options
Short walk to Suffolk Park shops
Comfy bed
- Alec (8/5): Very good -
- Marty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the uniqueness- beautiful structures inside with a shower to die for. Beautiful island bench to sit at to eat your meals over looking the water and gardens. Close to Byron cbd but secluded in your own little nook. Check in was informative and staff were welcoming.
- Cherry (4/5): - The pictures looked much better than the real property. It is a shed with a very simple shower, the show floor is not comfortable. The toilet is simple and crude. The carpet of bedroom is simple and crude. The wifi is very slow, no signal of my phone in the bedroom. The owner insisted in adding AUD50/night for a 4 years old child but no additional bed for him. Though in the advertisement, there is a sofa bed in it. But no sheets no quilt for the sofa bed. In short, the fee is too expensive for such an accomodation.
- geoff (10/5): Tranquil, peaceful location. Perfect short getaway - The owner Tarek, was most accommodating. Very friendly and helpful. nothing was too much trouble.
Gecko Shed was the perfect spot for our much needed break.
