Guest Reviews
- Scott (10/5): - Everything
- Scott (10/5): - Clean clean clean !! Well kept property . Breakfast free every day and it’s real good ! Nice Pool and great very friendly service . The bed was a little hard but aren’t they all in Thailand . I would recommend it to everyone :)
- Christopher (10/5): - Wonderful!
- ANNE (10/5): Just like home - Absolute best hotel in this price range in my 6 weeks of travel in Thailand. From checking in to the spotless room that was cleaned every day, to the decent breakfast. Room was spacious and plenty of hot water. In a quiet area but just 75 baht on Grab to head to the night market. I will be back for sure
- Evan (10/5): - They had free bikes with locks that we could take to the night bazaar which was about a 10 minute bike. Clock tour about 12 minutes, was fantastic
Bequeme Betten. Freundliches Personal.
- Christopher John (10/5): - Exceptionally good hotel. Lovely and helpful hotel staff. Great room that was kept very clean. Nice pool and gym. Excellent breakfasts. Nice, quiet location but quick and easy to get anywhere in the town.
- Gregor (8/5): Ok for the price - Pro:
Nice stuff. They are very friendly, try to help.
Price is alright. Breakfast is okay. Quite area.
Cons:
The pictures have been taken in the best light and probably some time ago. The hotel has seen better days. No sound isolation at all. If your room is downstairs, your the upstairs neighbor quite a bit, same if you are close to the breakfast room.
- Vicente J (8/5): - The property itself as well as the staff are excellent, however the location is quite far from dawntown
- M B (10/5): Prima hotel - Zeer net fijn hotel. Zerr vriendelijk personeel.
- Paolo (10/5): Ottima struttura - Bella piscina
Buona colazione
Biciclette a disposizione
Staff gentile
Un po lontano dal centro.
- Ken (8/5): Nice host but beds are hard. - The host was very kind and helpful. The host was fluent in English. The room was nice and we had hot water. Our one complaint like we have for number of places in South East Asia is the fact that the beds were hard and not comfortable for sleeping. Sleep is very important to us so that is an issue.
- Joshua (10/5): - The staff was extremely nice! The room was in very good condition and everything was above my expectations. In my specific room, the hot water never really got hot, but was warm and that was probably the only downside but overall great experience.
- Daniel (10/5): - Excelente custo benefício
- Sandro (10/5): - Nice place to stay.
- Anders (10/5): - Hyggelig hotell
- Anders (10/5): - Fint og stille hotel
- Dawn (10/5): Lovely little hotel: spotlessly clean! - This little hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were so helpful. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early. We wished we had more time to enjoy our clean, comfortable room and the hotel’s amenities. Would absolutely recommend them!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice boutique hotel - It’s comfortable and warm boutique hotel with lots of bears 🐻 to welcome us. Breakfast is nice and eating environment is nice too especially the open area. But the toilet inside the room need some improvements such as the water is not hot enough and the coming out water is not stable, noise always come from next door, is it because the wall is too thin?
good A+++++++
- Brian (10/5): - Flotte værelser og sødt personale.
- Mei Wah Meggy (8/5): Location little difficult but overall is very OK - I found the receptionist who has white skin, wore black frame glasses that is the one I have to give praise again while I really needed her help to make 2 urgent local call to a orphanages. She gave me great help n I am very appreciated her helping hands. I like this hotel breakfast especially the boiled eggs n congee tasted excellent.
- Kee Chuan (8/5): My Stay - The experience is good.
The place is comfortable.
- paul (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Fantastic hotel, with lovely and friendly staff, nice breakfast. Quiet in the night, we sat on the balcony and listened to the sounds of the jungle. Free shuttle bus into a shopping centre in town, and the night bazaar.
- Deborah. Anne (8/5): Lovely quiet hotel with good pool - Lovely little hotel which was fine for what I wanted which was a couple of days rest. The area is very quiet. Only problem is no restaurant you if you want night in it’s a microwave meal ! Too far to walk anywhere so you are reliant of taxi or tuktuk.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This resort is out of the main CBD area of Chiang Rai, about 10 mins by care, it had good sized rooms with average ammenities, unfortunately, it had Thai beds (hard) which were extremely uncomfortable for me getting up in age. The staff were very good. Hotel provides a free shuttle service. Breakfast was basic with enough to fill you up. Overall was OK for the price, however, I would not return due to the beds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Michael (6/5): One night at the hotel when visiting the White tem - Nice and a small hotel
A little bit out from Centrum
Small pool and cold as h***
Worth the money
Don't miss the Chiang Rai Flower Festival Its a really nice park with lots of flowers
- Eng Choon (10/5): Must stays Hotel ! - A nice and worth hotel to stays in Chiang Rai ... breakfast Porridge was Superb good and nice . Breakfast toast was nice too with butter and 3 types of Jam :)
Gerne wieder
Merci Thank you Bye
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very friendly staff. Clean pool. Mould in the shower. A bit away from the central city. Too far to walk comfortably. The breakfast is very ordinary western fare. To call it a resort is a lot of a stretch. Beautiful mural next to the pool.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ok
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived quite late so we couldn’t dive in the swimming pool, which looked very nice, anymore. The room was very Clean and the beds were comfy. Only remark is the breakfast room, it’s small and it was full when I wanted to go for breakkies.
- matthew (10/5): Amazing Hotel - Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Comfortable beds and In a quiet location and have bikes that can use to explore. Beautiful views from the balcony. I'd highly recommend staying here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Steve (8/5): Friendly hotel with warm and welcoming decor. - Nice room.
Nice friendly staff.
Pool was great.
Basic food at restaurant was adequate.
Breakfast was basic but OK.
- David (8/5): Good - Good hotel, only problem was transport, easy to get back but getting transport from the hotel is difficult.
- PAUL (8/5): COZY HOTEL WITH AWESOME STAFF - COZY HOTEL WITH AWESOME STAFF. ROOM HAD COMFY BED WITH NICE TV AND CABLE. POOL WAS CLEAN. SHUTTLE TO THE NIGHT MARKET AND THE MALL.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great value, warm staff, nice morning breakfast, thankyou :)
- Benjamin (8/5): Good value for the price. - Had all the necessities, but fair quality.
I would return.
I drove, so no problems with its locale. Neighborhood dogs can be noisy.
- zaa (6/5): Average hotel away from the main area - Pretty dirty surroundings when I arrived, Location of the hotel is further away from city. If anyone would want to stay there, it’s better to rent a car.
- Flora (10/5): Pretty & quiet hotel located in residential area - Very nice hotel staff, quiet location and lovely balcony. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. You would never regret to visit Chiang Rai and stay in this lovely hotel.
If the hotel can improve its shower facility, then that would be perfect.
- kim (10/5): Quiet part of town - Nice surprise - a little gem in a quiet part of town. They offered free shuttle to the Night Bazaar which was a nice touch. Breakfast was basic - same as all other hotels we have stayed in throughout Thailand.
- Elainie (8/5): Personal touch - I was surprised to find a personally written note to welcome me and on another day about a special event nearby. If you are willing to walk there are many nice sidelane stores, coffee cafes, Sunday street market to explore. Breakfast is nothing to rave about. I had a generally above average stay.
- kL (8/5): Nice hotel, good breakfast, nicest staff ever! - This was a great experience for us! We stayed there for 7 days while we got set up for renting a house, and the staff was amazing. They were so kind and so helpful from the get go.
They do a lot of little things to make the stay special as well.
Also, the pool is pretty good.
- David (8/5): Cute hotel away from City centre. - This hotel has all the amenities you expect and the staff are delightful, friendly and go out of way to look after their guests. Pool is clean and maintained well. There is free shuttle to town in the evening. Setting the shower can be a bit tricky but you soon get the hang of it. I would stay here again if I returned to Chiang Rai.
- Verified traveler (10/5): My Chayadol Boutique resort review - Our stay at the Chayadol Boutique Resort was wonderful. With friendly guest and very clean and comfortable room and also fast wifi and very cold AC. We had a great stay even thou its only for one night. This place need a recognition.
- Rog (10/5): Beautiful lil hotel in a quiet neighborhood. - Super friendly staff and owner! Sqeaky clean, gorgeous cool pools. Away from the center of twon but within easy walking or tuk tuk distance. Can't say enough great things about this place. Although the room was a bit smaller than others, everything else more than made up for it.
- Goggo (8/5): - Lovely pool and nice room. Very reasonable price.
It is not close to downtown so need extra time to travel to the market.
They do provide free tuk tuk every evening at 7pm though
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Stay - Nice Resort, location good if you want peace and quiet, only a 10 minute taxi ride to the centre. Staff were friendly. The only concern was at the time of our stay the restaurant and café were closed for refurbishment, no date for re-opening.
- Gregor (10/5): great hotel , please fix wifi - really nice hotel. staff are the nicest people you will ever meet. rooms are super clean. breakfast is good not a huge feast or variety but i enjoyed it everyday. there is cereal, fruit, bacon and eggs and salad and 2 different asian dishes each day. it is really exactly what i felt like to start most days and tasted good to. the hotel is a little out of town but thats ok thats why i booked it ! nice and quite . nice and relaxed feel. please note this is more a very nice street hotel with a pool and gym than a large resort but i really liked it ! i would give 4.5 stars . please if the hotel reads this please please please fix the wifi in the room . that is my only complaint. i just dont want this hotel losing customers over a small thing to fix like wifi. it may not seem much but it can drive you crazy having to go to reception just to check your phone . otherwise chayadol i would highly recommend and if they fix the wifi issue i would stay here again next time . the free bike hire was great i spent several hours each day getting completely lost in chiang rai and loved it ! also a free taxi each evening at 7 is a great idea and completely changes any negative aspect from being out a little out of town as you get a free trip there and it only takes 5 minutes! thanks for a very relaxing trip chayadol!
- Cole (10/5): Friendly and clean - Located 15 minute walk from main street, free shuttle to night market every day at 7pm. Sunday night market 5 minutes away. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Cole (10/5): Friendly staff and clean hotel - Very nice rooms ans friendly staff. 5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk to main stree area. 5 minute walk to subday night street market
Fast and unlimited wifi and comfortable beds
- Reinhold (8/5): Quiet clean hotel - The Chayadol hotel is located a little outside of the city center but in a very good and quiet neighborhood. Getting to the clock tower in the city center takes about 15 - 20 minutes walking. If you don't like to walk you easily can take a tuk tuk or a taxi.
The hotel is privately operated by a family. The room and all the public areas are very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is served buffet style with coffee, toast, fresh fruits, fried eggs sunny side up and sausage etc. everything is replenished as they go.
There are two good restaurants nearby which are mainly frequented by locals and are no tourist traps: a) a Thai style barbecue "as much you can eat" about 10 min walking when you turn left at the queen Sirikit picture on Sankhongluang RD and b) the Charinee restaurant with original Thai food 50 meters when you turn right at the same picture.
- Todd (6/5): An OK hotel. - It looked better online.
- kerry (10/5): Lovely hotel - Highly recommend staying here, great friendly staff, good breakfast, good location just out of town. Definitely stay there again. Oh and the pool great too
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is little bit far from the main road in Chiang Rai. You need a private transportation to get there.
- H (8/5): - Played my own music on the speakers around the pool. The residential area was nice and quiet but a little too far to walk downtown. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good wifi and TV.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel close to city - Excellent hotel friendly staff great food and very clean would highly recommend
- Virginia (6/5): - I have mixed feelings about my review because the staff were lovely but I did have issues with the hotel. The location was difficult to find. Without my GPS, I couldn't have done it. The room was nice but the bed was a little hard and the bathroom amenities were lacking somewhat. There was a small ant problem both in the bathroom and in the dining area but ants are a common problem anywhere in Thailand. The biggest problem was noise at night. There is Karaoke and it gets loud. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay but probably won't book there again.
- Valerie (8/5): Tucked away in Chiang Rai - This hotel is a. Little bit away from town, but a taxi or tuk tuk is does not cost you much. For the price we found this was excellant value. Not a big selection for breakfast, but enough to get your day started. We used the tour guide services at the hotel, and that worked out very well. Nice comfortable van, and though our guide did not speak much English, he was helpful in conveying suggestions and indicating directions.
There are laundry services within walking distance, as well as some neighborhood stores if you venture out. We walked over to a festival that took place while we were there, that the hotel told us about. The area can be a bit intimidating at night, but we found a lot of locals who did their best to help us, even with the language gap.
The cafe attached to the hotel was a nice place to have a couple of beer in the evening.
- Tjanatja (4/5): Only good for a one night stay. - The owner was really welcoming and lovely to talk to. I can see that this family owned business is really trying to make it work, and teddy bears are cute.
But unfortunately, I wouldn't stay there again, unless they fixed up the somewhat mouldy areas of the bathroom and the ant problem.
I went on a day tour (2,700 baht) with a tour guide (even though very lovely) that spoke very minimal English. Respect the local, but it would've helped if the tour guide spoke a little bit more English as I wanted to ask questions and couldn't because they couldn't answer them. Also, the tour included a boat ride over the border to Lao which I needed an original passport for (but didn't have), they didn't really accept photocopy version to be scanned, still got to cross for 30 minutes but cost me 800 baht (extra) opposed to the 30 baht I was told by the tour guide. A lot of miscommunication between me and the tour guide, it also would have been nice if they outlined in their tour packages that an original passport was required for that particular tour, considering I thought it was just a visit to the golden triangle not actually take a trip over to Lao. And also that extra fees for entry to certain attractions are not included with the 2,700 baht fee.
The staff, friendly and egar to help, also had minimal English so made it a bit difficult to communicate clearly what I needed.
The cafe and food however was pretty delicious.
- WGJ (4/5): Pool view was nice but that is it. Never again. - Only stayed overnight for a bus transfer but the hotel isn't as good as it appears online. The first room I was put in had bugs (dead and alive) both in and on my bed. They were not bed bugs but ants and other crawlers. The ceiling had cobwebs, a large visible spider and ants crawling up the walls. We moved rooms. Less bugs but still a few on the bed. Towels a bit sour smelling. Not a great hotel in regards to cleanliness. Staff was polite but that was it. Will not stay here ever again.
- sabino (8/5): Nice place but the wifi... - The hotel is little far from the mainstream sites, however you can rent per day a car (1000baht) or a motorcycle (250baht) and reach the places pretty fast!
- teresa (10/5): would recommend .lovely quiet place - We stayed for three nights .It was lovely and clean .staff excellent
also breakfast good .
It has a lovely pool
- Michael (6/5): Ok - Well for the price etc is ok but it wasn't my type of hotel if you want a cheap room etc for a night or two it would be ok it was clean etc not putting backpackers down etc but it would be more a backpackers hotel
- Osama (6/5): Visit - fine
- Kerri (8/5): - Nice pool and room. Service was different. ..the main person at the desk was aloof and unhelpful. Loved the bed. The location wasn't my favorite. ..other places we stayed had more around.
- saguas (10/5): Lovely off the beaten track resort - When traveling for many weeks we find we need an occasional break from all the noise and activity. this was the perfect location. Quiet even during Songkran! Beautiful pool, nice breakfast, comfortable rooms, great ac and good wifi. The staff as very accommodating! We spent a day on a tour with "A" and had a great time
