Guest Reviews
- C1545TIadams (10/5): Great place to stay, close to town and other trips in Crete. - We had good experience at City Green hotel. The hotel atmosphere is good and the service was excellent.
The costumer service was excellent, very attentive.
- jordanna988 (2/5): Deeply Disappointed – Nowhere Near a 4-Star Standard - I’ve never had to write a bad review for a hotel before, but after our stay at City Green Hotel in Heraklion, I feel it’s only fair to share our experience. I truly wish we’d listened to the negative reviews and booked somewhere else.
From the moment we arrived, the room was dirty — the floor hadn’t been cleaned and stayed that way until we asked for it to be cleaned - where they left our balcony door open for anyone to enter as we were on the ground floor. The cleaner only emptied one of the two bins and did nothing else. The bathroom was by far the worst part: there was a constant smell of sewage, the extractor fan didn’t work, and the toilet both leaked and flushed on its own throughout the day and night. The shower curtain was dirty and stained orange, the taps, shower head and handles were covered in limescale, and the bathroom door had mold that had been poorly hidden with a half-hanging sticker.
There was no hand soap or shower gel in the dispenser. Every time we showered, the water flooded the floor, and we had to use the shower mat as a barrier — it stayed soaked for days and was never changed. We even found a brown splatter on the bathroom wall, the mirror chipped all along the bottom and a glued bathroom door handle instead of a proper replacement.
In the bedroom, there were dead bugs squashed on the walls, dirty streaks on the mirror and there was visible damp and mold on the wall adjoining the bathroom. There was also no extra bedding in the room, dust gathered on the skirting boards, and cracks on the walls. The beds were never made during our stay.
The food was another major letdown: minimal choice, poor quality, and nothing labeled. While sitting by the smaller pool, an unpleasant sewage smell came and went. Even the pool itself had peeling paintwork.
This hotel claims to be 4-star, but based on everything we saw, it wouldn’t qualify for more than 2. We paid the tourist tax for a 4-star property and expected a certain standard — instead, we left feeling like we’d overpaid for something far below that level. I had multiple conversations with other hotel guests that had a similar experience and when we complained to the staff no apologies were ever given. The pictures took do not do it justice but as you can tell the hotel looks nothing like advertised.
The only positives were the convenient location and the mattress, which was comfortable. Everything else needs serious attention.
- Compass31998702749 (2/5): Avoid like the plague - Dropped off at around midnight on the main road appx 400 meters from the hotel with very vague instructions how too locate the place up a hill turn right on 2 poorly light streets not good for either vunerable girls or old / less than able people. Finally found it and was (greeted) by dimitrious the miserable night staff employee who made me provide my passport details and pay the 70 euro tourist tax only then too tell me that despite my booking i had no room available and would have to spend a night in a hotel' He then proceeded to march us up to not a hotel but the shoddy smelly diamond apartments and leave us for the night i immediatley called loveholidays and complained but at that time of nite nothing could be done The next morning back at the hotel the manager alexandria appologised and gave me my room which looked nothing like the advertising pictures . Over the corse of the week stay we had the following problems
Bathroom door rotting' .shower curtain moldy . no hot water one night. glass cracked on the balconey half the balcony covered in the exposed wired air condiotioning unit . Moving on to the food . Poorly cooked. cold very little choice and unless you git there in the first 20 mins it run out. The same items for breakfast lunch and dinner bacon like spam tasetless bread house wine like vinegar .add in only 1 night s entertainment albeit a jolly good saxoponist and its difficult to see how this hotel is billed as a 4 star . Infact the only nice things were reception staff aleandra alicia and all the bar staff who were excelent
- Z2465VYcarriec (8/5): Worth a visit . - Well what can I say? The staff absolutely make this hotel what it is, we arrived at midnight & the staff had played us some cooks food up! Very welcoming , fully explaining all we needed to know. The rooms are ample for two of us, beds comfy & when we required an extra pillow it was there within the hour! Good amount of storage with added extra of fridge & kettle. Pool areas were very clean ( pools as really cold) . Bar was good selection for all inclusive, served with a smile. Restaurant had a good selection, for our 5 day stay we never ate out as we could always find something to satisfy our appetite, sometimes food was tepid but it’s a lot of food to keep hot! Especially when thoughtless guests leave the kids up etc. 2 minutes walk from main road which has a huge supply of souvenir shops & restaurants & strip by harbour gets lively at night. 4/5 as bed not made daily ( im capable of doing it) & shower was too small. All in all we enjoyed our stay & would urge others to give it a go.
- S5233YKsandrag (8/5): Would return - Enjoyed my stay, arrived at 11pm at night to be told no room, sent to another hotel for night to be fair costs and taxi paid by hotel, settled in next day,got the bottle of wine for inconvenience, would say this seems to be common occurrence after talking to other guests, seems to be a lot of overbooking rooms,as for hotel, drinks at bar were fine, bar staff excellent, could do with more toilets, only ones in basement, the Cats were the best entertainment, food always found something but would ask chef cut down on salt, like seasoned food but salt content was bit to much ,very relaxing round pool area, close to shops and restaurants, would I return yes
- S562RMronaldb (8/5): Wedding anniversary - Well me and my wife arrived end of September for 2 weeks for our 31st wedding anniversary which was 1st October and we got home Sunday lunch 12 October, we arrived mid afternoon, got booked in and told as to where our room was and when meals was served.
Room was nice, yes shower does flood, maybe get a door put on or longer shower curtain, plenty of sun beds, sun comes over around 10.30 am, swimming pool ok but very cold all day even after sun been on it, the other thing they should look into is activity’s like maybe archery or pistol or rifle shooting,
Food in restaurant was normal to an all inclusive, yes it was always Luke warm but l used the microwave as like mine very hot. Staff was great fun and a good laugh, the only one we found grumpy hard to talk too was at reception, we called him the tall man lol, we would go back there as it’s in a great place to shops, beech, and the port. But as some have said it’s a 3 star at best and if your disabled it’s not for you as no access if you have a wheelchair, and yes they should have toilets near the pool areas.
- Meandyou44 (2/5): ⭐ “A Green Hotel Experience I’ll Never Forget (Unfortunately)” - Well! Where should I even begin with the S****y Green Hotel? (And yes, the name really fits the vibe.)
1. The Food — or whatever it was meant to be.
Imagine food so cold even the warmers have given up. Desserts? Still frozen solid — basically edible ice sculptures. The buffet selection was so small I started to think “intermittent fasting” was part of the all-inclusive package.
We ended up eating out 6 of the 7 nights — and honestly, I’d have gone 7/7 if my purse hadn’t tapped out first.
2. Drinks
One sugar-free fizzy drink option.
Water from the pool bar tastes suspiciously like it’s been scooped straight from the pool — with a delightful hint of chlorine and regret.
3. The Staff
Let’s just say the welcome was as warm as the food.
The male receptionist told us to “take a screenshot” of the meal times because it was “too complicated to explain.” A customer service masterclass, truly.
4. The Facilities
The bathroom was a modern marvel — if by “modern” you mean “built for hobbits.” Bend over to close the toilet lid and bang! head meets shower screen.
The shower curtain deserves its own horror film: small cubicle, clingy plastic, and a full-contact wrestling match every morning.
5. The Atmosphere
God forbid two people try to sit at a four-seater table — chaos! And the poolside tunes? Pure gold. Your options:
🎅 Christmas carols in October, or
🎤 Explicit rap lyrics about d****, s**, and questionable vocabulary.
A true musical rollercoaster.
Overall:
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to spend a week in a parallel universe where hospitality, hygiene, and happiness go to die — the S****y Green Hotel is your place. 10/10 for comedy value, 0/10 for everything else.
- 782ameliaw (2/5): The City Green Hotel let us down 😪 - We stayed at City Green Hotel recently and, unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. While the location is convenient, several issues during our stay made it an overall disappointing experience.
Here’s what we encountered:
No hot water throughout our stay
Lights not working in the wardrobe area and was told they would be fixed- never fixed
No hand soap provided in the bathroom
Shower flooded the entire bathroom floor due to poor drainage
Dirty shower curtain and a rotten bathroom door – very unhygienic
Frozen desserts served without being properly defrosted - friend experienced upset tummy
Only one sugar-free drink option available
Food was cold and tasteless, even though we arrived at the restaurant right at 7 PM when it opened. Had to eat out for all meals which defeats booking all inclusive package
Drinking water had a strong chlorine taste
There was a microwave available, but food shouldn’t need reheating if it's served properly.
Dont worry about setting your alarm as the cleaners will wake you in the mornings with banging doors, bashing the mop bucket, very strong smells of bleach and talking loudly
Basic maintenance and food quality were clearly lacking. It’s disappointing to see so many issues go unaddressed in what is supposed to be a reputable hotel.
I hope City Green Hotel takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements, particularly with hygiene, food service, and room maintenance as it seems to be the same complaints throughout and STILL no change Until then, I would not recommend staying here.
- sarajwoodley (6/5): Could be good - We arrived to be shown to a room that wasn’t ready for us. It was right opposite the reception and I felt it would not be very private, so asked to be moved. The request was accommodated. The new room had twin beds and the next day I asked for the beds to be made into a double, which again the staff addressed.
The rooms are small and the bathroom cramped, with struggles to stop the shower to overflow onto the floor. Also one pillow is unusual and I expected to find another in the wardrobe. I even asked at reception for one but apparently there weren’t any!
The cleaners put new sheets on the bed but didn’t make the bed. I had to go to reception to get another, as it had blood on it!
The food was plentiful and there was usually something for everyone, however it was cold.
The pools had enough sun beds but the pool by the bar was completely in the shade by the afternoon. The main problem with the pools was that there was no toilet by either of the pools. I have never known a hotel to have their guests wandering through the hotel in swim wear to use the toilet which was situated downstairs from the reception. This could be a health and safety issue too. There should be a toilet at least by one of the pools, if not both.
There was no entertainment apart from a Greek night one night, which I felt would have been better for the dancers to perform by the pool area.
The pool bar is the only bar in the hotel and quite often there were not enough seats in the evening. However the location to the shops, bars and harbour was spot on.
A positive is the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly George, Paulina, Jimmy and the reception staff.
This hotel could be so much better with some tweaks and changes but unfortunately we would not return.
- ryankent86 (2/5): Do not stay here!!!! Rude staff! Rotten food!!! NOT ENGLISH FRIENDLY! - Me and my partner just arrived home from 10 days staying in this “4* hotel”, I can tell you now it’s far from a 4* ….. more like a 3*.
We arrived on 29th September around 12pm as we checked in the reception were so rude, just handed us our room key didn’t explain where it was (as there was two blocks of rooms) didn’t explain where the restart was what times were breakfast lunch etc…. Actually just pointed to a framed picture and said “look … take picture”
As we got to our room don’t get me wrong the rooms are ok but not that clean, the shower was literally so tiny, every time you shower the shower curtain sticks to your body, and the drainage for the shower is shocking as it floods the bathroom resulting putting towels down to stop the water going into the main bedroom area!
The food is disgusting!!!!!!!! All the meat is dry, the scrambled eggs are to what I can only describe as like a powdered bulk cooked scrambled egg… you had to cut it to get any, to me scrambled eggs, you should be able to just scoop onto your plate not use a knife to cut sections off.
Pool areas are quite small and you don’t get any sun until around 12-1pm I understand this is not the hotels fault, just to make people aware if you want to be sunbathing round the pool at 9am then you won’t get that here!
Pool staff are great and serve great cocktails and the local Cretan beer is nice, but you are only entitled to local spirits and beer within the all inclusive package which I found strange if you want a better beer or let’s say Smirnoff vodka in your cocktail you have to pay!
Cleaners are banging doors as they clean the rooms at 8am, twice the cleaner let other guests into our room as they had got their room number wrong which I thought was disgusting…. Rather than going down to reception to mention this the cleaners just opened our room up to which me and my partner were in bed to be shouted at by other rude guests “get out of our room” and when realised they were wrong didn’t apologise just slammed our door shut, my partner went to reception to complain to which she was shouted at, swore at and told to go away by not one but two rude receptionists!
This hotel IS NOT English friendly do not be fooled!!!!
The only positive the hotel has is the location! Two minute walk from the main strip which to where we spent most of our time
- naomilA3364QE (2/5): NOT A 4 STAR - I will start off with this is no way a 4 star hotel, I never complain about hotels but this one was very disappointing, The food was absolutely disgusting and I'm not a fussy eater ,the drinks were horrible, I was there a week and not one entertainment, the hotel, is clean and rooms made everyday, it was very relaxing and quiet and it's in a very good location to be able to walk to things like shops or restaurants and bars, i defiantly wouldn't return
- Emmag1234xx (2/5): AVOID THIS HELL HOLE - Currently staying here with my partner. First of all want to start by saying this hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel.. maybe a 2 or 3 star if I’m being generous. I would never usually leave such a bad review especially whilst still on holiday. However, I don’t want other people staying here after the appalling time we have had.
The hotel is NOT friendly for English people. The hotel has mainly Dutch, Swiss or German guests who are rude to English people and they laugh and snigger as you walk by the pool. They look at you and make you feel like you shouldn’t be here.
The food is so bad we have only been to eat once each for breakfast, dinner & lunch. The ‘scrambled egg’ contains 0 eggs and is can only what is to be described as rock hard chemical tasting powder. The hot meals were always cold and they repeatedly re heat food that hasn’t been used. They seem to cater for all other nationalities though as they seemed more than happy with their vegetables for breakfast :)
Music by the Pools - I haven’t heard one English song and all they play is this horrible repetitive ai music.. again other nationalities seemed to love this.
Drinks - we actually witnessed the bar man pouring vodka out of a bottle into a cup seemingly for himself and refilled half the bottle with water. All the cocktails taste the same and If you’re looking to drink to get drunk I wouldn’t bother. The hotel also failed to mention when we booked that unless you wanted it grade your all inclusive at €20 each per day your not entitled to the premium spirits or beer.
Sleeping & rooms - We upgraded our room for £100 for a ‘pool view’. None of the rooms have a pool view.. only a pool view of the hotel next door who play loud music until the early hours. Me and my partner like a few late nights and nights out so this is something we would NEVER usually complain about. The rooms themselves are ok and the air con is good but the bathroom is tiny. As all other reviews mention the shower curtain sticks to you and the shower is tiny and the shower floor has no basin and floods the bathroom when in use. As well as being kept awake at night the cleaners will begin cleaning early in the morning and slam the doors as they clean so we haven’t had much sleep since being here.
This morning myself and my partner were in bed trying to sleep after being kept awake most of the night by loud drunken young Dutch boys and the cleaner let other people into our room whilst we were naked in bed .. this is the second time this has happened. The other guests started to shout at us telling us to get out of their room even though we had been in this room for over a week. Once they realised they were on the wrong floor they slammed the door and left.
I went to reception to complain in a calm manner about all of the above concerns I had and that I wasn’t happy that the cleaners were letting other guests into our room. I asked to be compensated for our troubles and both female receptionists started to shout at me and told me they wouldn’t be threatened. I am not a confrontational person and was close to tears at the time. I told them I don’t think the hotel caters much to English people and in response she basically said she wasn’t interested and laughed at me.
This is the first negative review I have ever written about a hotel and would urge people not to book here. The people we have spoken to around the pool area agree with us in many areas.
- JuliaWeronika (8/5): Good Value, Great Staff, and a Beer-Stealing Cat 🐱🍺 - Pretty much what you pay for, decent hotel, fair price, and a few laughs along the way. The food’s mostly edible (which is already a plus 😅). Breakfast is basic and not exactly gourmet, but if you’re lucky, you might catch a really nice lunch or dinner.
The staff are awesome, super friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Paulina, Jurek, and Giorgos for always smiling and doing their best to make everyone feel welcome. They really deserve some credit!
Now, about the cats… there are loads of them around the hotel. They’re harmless, cute, and mostly mind their own business. except one little bandit who kept trying to steal our beer. So yeah, keep an eye on your drinks! 🐈🍺
The only annoying thing was the classic sun lounger Olympics. people throwing towels on chairs at stupid o’clock in the morning to “reserve” them, even though the hotel rules clearly say not to. That’s on the guests, not the hotel.
All in all, a chill place with friendly vibes, a few quirks, and some very determined cats. Would stay again (but maybe bring a beer guard). 😄
- F6368WHnicolak (4/5): Avoid as didn’t give a holiday vibe at all!! - Well where do I start with this hotel.. arrived around 8pm checked in and was given key to our room to find the housekeepers still cleaning once we got up there. My partner asked how long they would be and was told ‘it will be cleaned when it is cleaned’
Once they’d finished my partner called down to reception to ask for a couple of pillows to be told we’d have to wait until the morning as they’d now gone home.
That night just across the hallway was 3 young lads who literally sounded like they were in our room, that’s how thin the walls were, shouting and playing music until gone 3am slamming doors along the way.
Next morning we went down to reception, met with very abrupt staff to explain the situation and ask if we were able to move rooms, we were asked why we wanted to move as it ‘was a very nice room’ we explained about the noise and the fact we basically had no view from our balcony even though we’d asked for a pool view, it was just other balconies across from us only to be told the room across from us was leaving that day so there would be no other issues, my partner said we will pay to move but still no, apparently they were fully booked.
There is no other bar to sit at at nighttime, it’s just the small pool bar fhat is open during the day and seats were very scarce, people were sat on the wet loungers as there wasn’t enough seats. ‘Entertainment’ is apparently on a Monday in the shape of a saxophonist but he didn’t turn up the first Monday we got there and Friday night is Cretan dance night but if not staying all inclusive at the hotel you have to pay an extra £15 each!
Drinks shocking, everything tasted the same and food like slop most nights.
Same thing served each night in the form of some kind of beef stew.
Staff not very friendly, the exception of the lady who looks after the cats, special mention to ‘Tony’ who was a little dream!
Room not so clean and never seemed to be mopped with black hairs everywhere and as soon as you turned the shower on it would overflow into the hallway of the room.
Net curtain was left open every day after room had been cleaned causing numerous bug bites and was completely ripped down one side so wasn’t even doing the job in the first place! Each morning the toilet had other guests waste in, spoke to reception, they said the drains weren’t brilliant.
I could go on about this place, only good thing about it was location as it was a very short walk onto the front. If you don’t mind sitting around a pool day and night with a load of 19-20 somethings then this is for you, otherwise avoid!
- V3907BRdarias (10/5): A decent stay - Rooms
Spacious, clean, no complaints regarding the standard. Medium-sized bathroom – for bigger people it may be hard to manoeuvre, e.g. while changing clothes. On the good side – large sink; on the bad – the shower cabin floor edge is so low you have to be careful about the water flow. Other benefits: an air conditioner, a balcony with chairs and table, 2 large mirrors, a tea set with electric kettle (but why is it connected in the closet?), and a fridge that unfortunately gathers a bit of water inside.
Area
The hotel is not too far from the beach and bus stops.
Staff and service
The biggest benefit. Very helpful, quick with formalities. A few members speak Polish, including Mrs. Bogusia who provides advice on where to go, what to visit, how bus transport works, and much more. Big kudos for that. There is also one person at the reception and one at the bar who also speak Polish.
Food
It is ok. When it comes to taste, everything is quite good or often even delicious. The thing is.. the choice. The most humble is breakfast. There is of course everything you need for a sandwich, cereals, dried fruits, pancakes, beans and bacon (quite English breakfast elements), but for vegans/lactose-free guests it may be a little monotonous, with the selection limited to fruits, bread, and raw vegetables.
Lunch and dinner are more satisfying, with options changing more often. There is a lot of meat but also vegetable-based dishes, although sometimes the balance is not even and one predominates over the other. A big plus for Greek night every Friday with a delicious feast.
Other
Plus for events like saxophone play at the bar.
Overall
It is definitely a recommendation for Poles who are not so fluent in English nor have much experience with holidays abroad.
- juliafZ7141CN (10/5): … - We decided to choose this hotel because we read good rewievs about it and we read good rewievs about Mrs. Bogusia, who works in the hotel and this convinced us to choose this hotel. And indeed, after arrival, the first person who greeted us warmly at the hotel was Mrs. Bogusia. She immediately informed us about everything and answered our questions, thanks to which we felt taken care of and at home. Mrs. Bogusia also took us for a walk around the old town and told us a lot about Greek history and culture as well as moniments. As for the hotel, we are very pleased that there are no children here. The hotel is clean, the food is tasty, although it could be more different. Rooms are cleaned daily. The downside is small bathroom with a curtain in the shower. The hotel also employs a polish people - Jurek at the reception and Paulina at the bar. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
- kwD3174EJ (10/5): A short description of your stay :) - A fantastic location, very close to the sea, the city center, and the old town. The hotel is very cozy, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and Mrs. Bogusia was always there to help and support us whenever we had a problem. She was also very happy to answer questions about places worth seeing in Crete.
I highly recommend it and give it a 5!
😀
- GrandTour20629191211 (10/5): Holiday memories. - The hotel pleasant, intimate with friendly staff. Nice rooms, often cleaned but have small bathrooms. The food could be more varied.
We sincerely greet Mrs. Bogusia who helped us a lot. She showed us beautiful places here in Hersonissos. She deserves 5 stars, she also helped us with shopping, although she was not obliged to do so.
- 802clarek (8/5): Lovely hotel - I stayed here with my friend between 7th Sept to 14th Sept and although not the best hotel I've stayed in it was lovely and clean. Our room was big enough for the two of us and although bathroom small with a shower curtain (which flooded the floor) it dried in half an hour no biggie....
We only ate breakfast there as there was far too many lovely tavernas for us to visit in Old Hersonissos, Koutolafari & Piscopiano.
Lovely pool area with plenty of beds and George, Manos & Paulina always there to serve with a smile and a chat with a lovely drink.
- 485ceeg (10/5): Lovely people, surroundings and atmosphere - This hotel is perfectly positioned as its so close to all the restaurants, clubs and the beaches but when you walk home from the nightlife and bustle its tranquil. The staff are so friendly and do everything to make your stay amazing. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The food is varied and tasty and always something for everyone. This is our second year here and we will be back next year and we have never returned to the same place like this before.
- PupsMum (8/5): Reviews lately are to be considered before booking - Our opinion only! as we have stayed in several Greek 4☆ hotels (3☆plus jet2 rating) this is a 3 due to several silly and easily remedied things .
Firstly food good hot and varied at opening times, heard a few disgruntled views from several guests of different nationalities later on.
Rooms adequate good beds large balcony....let down by small shower with curtain, one soap choice, towels on demand we found during the week, towels left on the floor to be replaced were re hung on hooks.
Bedding the same requested at reception to have it changed after 5 days, toilet rolls are a premium it would seem had to ask reception for some, card say make up room ignored but do not disturb and in they walk on last day we actually saw the cleaner.
Storage is a wardrobe and a cube with 2 drawers dressing table with 2 slim drawers, 3 shelves in the wardrobe have a fridge on lower level a kettle with no cups 2 teabags spoons no milk no coffee 2 sugars on middle level and a safe on 3rd level. What a waste of space as rooms large enough for these outside of the wardrobe . AIRCON WAS FIERCE 😆
Pools lovely need a quick repaint during closed season and repair to set of steps that broke off.
Bar Staff work their socks off, shame the mixers are poor quality, cocktails are nice beer good even got a glass all week instead of the plastic cups. Shout out to the 3 of them George Paulina and Manos.
Reception girls were lovely and so apologetic on our requests for room stuff
Yes it's adult only and yes the great unwashed pot smokers tried to wreck stuff and caused a bit of noise but on the whole it was a decent week,
70 euros tourists tax is becouse they class this as 4 star.
There is a fair walk from the drop off point to the hotel up a slight hill far more than the 250mtrs they say, its not disabled friendly, toilets x 2 in the basement restaurant on 4th floor....go before you go to the restaurant 😀
Plenty of sunbeds for the 7am mad dash to two lovely pools.
It was interesting it was different it's certainly going to be remembered for various reasons, take note to improve on little things like perhaps complimentary water in the room we heard most had wine and biscuits we didn't even have soap!,
- waniliowaa (10/5): Crete - The strongest point of the hotel is the people working in it. Always friendly, helpful in every situation and willing to provide information about attractions near the hotel. Bogusia deserves a special mention, who is very communicative and devotes his time to each of the guests to get to know him better. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center but still in another parallel street. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to the beach. There are a lot of shops and souvenir stalls near the hotel. The hotel offers tasty meals tailored to a gluten-free diet or allergy sufferers. The rooms are clean, although sometimes they forget to change towels. At the hotel reception you can arrange everything without a problem. I am satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I will recommend it to my friends. It was not the first time I was in Crete, but it was the first time in such a good hotel.
- I2496YGma_gorzatab (10/5): City Green hotel - We recommend this hotel to everyone. We spent a lovely holiday here. The food in the hotel is tasty. Rooms cleaned daily. Very friendly staff helps in every situation. We are satiafied.
- 990zofiak (10/5): Holiday in City Green Hotel - Cery pleasant, intimate hotel. Twice a week three arę evenings organizer there - obce there was a saxophonist who player a concert and once there was na evenings witaj a barbecue dinner and there were supposed to be Greek dancers but because of the strike the dancers did not make but Bogusia working in the hotel organized a dance for the guests inviting them to play and dance together. We remember Jorgos and Paulina working in the pool bar cery friendly. At the reception nice and helpful Staff. One gentleman front Poland, Mrs. Jurek also works. Hotel close to city attractions. Clubs, discos, pubs and restaurants. We wilk definitely be back here next year.
- 46aleksandraa (10/5): Our holidays - Very Hood hotel im THE City center Hersonissos. Tasty food and large selection od dishes. THE hotel is only for adults bit sometimes going people aged 18-20 come and go a bit crazy. Pleasant and helpful stąd on this hotel. Mrs. Bogusia (a Polish woman worki g on a restaurant) devotes a lot to hotel guests -in her spare tone she showed us around the old town and went with us to a beautiful Sandy Beach. We recommend this hotel and greet the hotel Boss, a very nice and polite gentleman.
- M6481CDlucyb (10/5): Feels like a home, away from home 🥰 - This was our second stay at City Green Hotel, after visiting previously in August 2024, and once again myself and my mum enjoyed every single aspect of our ten day stay.
The entire atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The bar staff create such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with them always up for a chat and a laugh! The selection of cocktails are definitely all worth a try, with my favourites being RED and CINDERELLA.
The wonderful ladies on the front desk were exceptionally helpful, making us feel at home during our stay, welcoming us back to the City Green with a lovely bottle of wine and cake.
Jimmy and the wonderful ladies in the restaurant stood out particularly for their attentiveness and cheerful service, alongside the wide selection of dishes provided each day, avoiding repetitiveness of meals.
We selected a room with a Mountain View and it was clean, comfortable and provided us with a perfect base to relax after exploring Hersonissos, Heraklion, Chania, and Rethymno.
The hotel itself is ideally situated within a short walk from lively bars and excellent, affordable restaurants. This allows you to rest without disruption through the night if you wish, unlike if you were to select a hotel on the main road.
What makes City Green so memorable for myself and my mum is not just the setting, but the people. The warmth of the staff creates an atmosphere that is personal and genuine. For example, asking if you enjoyed the trip you said you were visiting. Comments like this make a huge difference.
A heartfelt thank you to the whole team at City Green- we have felt with wonderful, unforgettable memories once again, and we are looking forward to returning for our third visit in 2026.
Alison and Lucy 😊
- marksN8894EO (2/5): Disgust - Absolute disgrace of a place.
Moved hotel soon as we possibly could.
Absolute eye sore compared to the photos everywhere online, blind sided by edited and fake stolen photos to make themselves look good.
For a 4 star they’ve surely bribed someone, 2 star fair, 3 at the absolute max if you picked out the decent parts and ignored the rest.
Revolting standards , uninterested staff, small rooms, inability to clean, upkeep or juts stick to basic standards that are very much expected for the prices paid.
Painting rooms during our first day, throwing “clean” bedding over hair/stained/ dirty bedding.
Feet print on furniture?
Half yellow stained toilets that’s apparently from bleach
Shower was made for a hamster
Place was so disappointing, waste of a holiday, waste of money, waste of time, actually had to move hotel soon as we possibly could
- S2591YTmias (2/5): Extremely disappointed - Absolute disaster, room wasn’t clean when we arrived bed sheets stained blood on bed cover yellow toilet seat and stains all over both chairs in our room, when asked if we could move rooms she said there’s no need to move rooms we will just clean it. Why wasn’t it clean when we arrived then? Cleaned our room and painted the walls which mean sleeping with fumes for 3 nights, gave us new bedding after I complained and it was still stained. Staff where quite abrupt never apologised once for the upset of our stay and made us feel like it was our problem and if we where asking for too much. Outside shower at the second pool is absolutely disgusting and hardly works. All round terrible unclean rooms and rude staff not sure how this is a 4 star.Have a look at the photos I will leave
- Stone_Kicker (8/5): Great budget hotel in a good location. - The hotel is in a very good location, close to the main road and the road along the beach but is tucked away up a back street so is very quiet (the only issue for some is that you have to wheel your cases up the road as the access roads are too narrow for the bus, not really an issue but something to be aware of).
The staff are great, from the reception staff, the night porter, the restaurant staff and in particular, the bar staff (Mano, George and the blond lady whose name I never did learn).
The food was good, but you may find it worth eating out a couple of times during your stay as Greek salad can get a bit repetative.
The rooms, whilst fairly small where clean and serviced daily but could benifit with a larger set of drawers as the top shelves in the wardrobes are so high as to be unuseable.
The pool areas were pleasant with plenty of sunbeds and although the astroturf seems like a good idea, I think tiles would be better and easier to clean (there was a bit of a smell of cat pee and poop in some places.
Overall a, good stay and we would certainly consider the same hotel if/when we return to Hersonissos.
- 647michalz (10/5): Amazing staff and amenities - second time coming here this year, and it’s a great hotel. Staff are always on hand for absolutely everything you need- pillows, issues, questions. Good food in the rooftop restaurant, and great availability of drinks in the pool bar. The rooms have everything you need- soap, kettle, tea and coffee and air conditioning. Staff are friendly and always go above and beyond. Will definitely be returning every year!
- 854justynac (10/5): Holidays - The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Jurek at the front desk, and Mrs. Bogusia at the restaurant and Pola at the bar. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. It's close to the sea and the town center, with excellent local transport links. Car rentals and optional excursions are available. Overall, we left very satisfied and in love with Greece.
- Discover39640477525 (10/5): City Green Hotel - This is our first time in Crete. The City Green Hotel is intimate and adults-only. The hotel's location allows you to explore the tourist attractions on your own. Nearby, there are pebbly beaches, but Bogusia (a helpful Polish woman working in the restaurant) told us where the beautiful sandy beaches are and how to get there – Karteros Beach and Malia Beach. The hotel's downside is that the showers are covered with plastic curtains instead of lockable glass doors. The food is varied and delicious.
- kjf0000 (10/5): Fantastic hotel with great staff - This hotel is in an ideal location to the shops, bars and beach within a 2-4 minute walk. The hotel is very clean and the bedrooms are a great size.what makes this hotel even better are the amazing staff who go out there way to accommodate your needs.George and manos(think that’s his name)are so nice and friendly. The 2 reception ladies are the nicest ladies you could meet.It was my daughters 21st birthday while we was there and they bought out a birthday cake,Prosecco and a lovely note(written by the lady) which was absolutely lovely. They all sang happy birthday to here round the pool.cant thank these ladies enough as that do go that extra mile for there guest.Theres no need to to get up early for a sunbed as we always found one round the 2 pools.would definitely go back to this hotel and would definitely recommend for all ages.
- 154renataw (10/5): Nasze kreteńskie wakacje. - We are cery satisfied. Testy food. Nice service. Poles working on the hotel are very helpful. Mr. Jurek at the recepction, Mrs. Paulina at the bar and Mrs. Bogusia at the restaurant. We are grateful to Mrs. Bogusia for trolling US about the island and answering all our questions. Near rooms, hotel close to the center and the Beach. Three are mamy bars, taverns and restaurant around the hotel.
- dariamU576MC (8/5): I recommend! - I had a pleasant stay at the City Green Hotel in Chersonissos and can recommend it.
First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to the staff, especially the cooks and waiters. They make sure that no guest is hungry. Even those with dietary restrictions are well looked after - the chefs do their best to prepare tailor-made meals, which is both thoughtful and professional.
The food was varied and tasty, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. The desserts were delicious!
The hotel also serves as a great base for exploring the area, with convenient access to local attractions and amenities.
The only aspect that could be improved is the cleanliness - especially in the bathrooms. The shower curtains are too short, leading to water flooding the floor after each use. This issue detracts slightly from the pleasant stay experience.
Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend the City Green Hotel. The warm service, helpful kitchen staff and excellent food more than compensate for these few drawbacks.
- barbarabI644QQ (10/5): Opiniom - The hotel is in a very good location in Hersonissos. It's a 5-minute walk to the sea and a 15-minute walk to the old town of Hersonissos. The bus stop and the main street are 100 meters away. The service was very friendly. The food was also very good and every day something new. However, I have stomach problems (SIBO and IMO) and I can't eat everything. The wonderful chef, Jorgos, prepared a special dish for me every day, which helped me function, for which I am very grateful. Thank you soooo much:)
- nicolawS3792IR (8/5): a good all rounder - Hotel was lovely along with the food and the staff, i cant understand people saying not enough choice of food ( there was more than enough) the cocktails were lovely.
The rooms were always clean (compact) , but enough for what we needed.
the only down fall for us was the lack of day/evening entertainment, 2 nights out of the 10 night stay was defo not enough, hopefully this will be improved and i would defo go back.
the hotel is a 2 min walk from the beach, but it is still very quiet and calm in the hotel.
The beach has a row of bars and restaurant's which are very welcoming but not annoying or pushy.
Overall a brilliant hotel, resort and holiday.
- Scenic31132960856 (8/5): Recommend this hotel - We had a fantastic time at this hotel. There were two of us and we had a great time, but the area is so party-oriented, so it's great to go with a group of friends. We're from Poland and met a lot of Poles. Mrs. Bogusia, a wonderful and helpful young Polish woman at the bar (unfortunately, I don't know her name), made the best drinks. The guys at the bar were also very nice. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception were friendly and always helpful when needed. The ladies cleaned the rooms and changed the towels every day, so it was clean. Overall, the entire hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was really good, with a wide selection, so we didn't go hungry. The location is great, with plenty of bars and shops, and you can get everywhere by bus. The only downside was that the air conditioning and lights in our room sometimes turned off because the card wasn't working, and the bathroom flooded from the small shower. But it wasn't a big deal because the staff cleaned it daily. Overall, the stay was really good, and I recommend it.
- 264wiolak (10/5): I recommend this hotel - Im very glad about holiday in this hotel- despite location is in the center of the city its very calm and quiet.
But the best there is Bogusia from the staff - a warm friendly person, will tell you where to go and what is best to see.
I would definitely come back here
- X7504VRewab (10/5): Recommend - We are very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Gratulacje food. Large selection of meals. Beautiful beaches. Very nice Staff. Mrs. Bogusia from Poland is nice and organizer for my housband's birthday in a restaurant. Poles worki in the hotel - Mr. Jurek at the recepcion, several ladies clearing the Roomster and Mrs. Bogusia in the restaurant, you can albo easlily communicate in the hotel in Polish launguage.
- U1063MMewelinap (10/5): We recommend - Together with friends we spent our holidays in this hotel. We are very satisfied. Very tasty food. Helpfull staff and especially friendly Mrs. Bogusia. Various beaches near the hotel. We heartly recommend this hotel.
- emilybK2284AI (4/5): Great location awful hotel - Firstly, how this hotel got 4 stars is beyond me. Budget hotel at best.
Where to start… the food. Same bland casserole like dishes every night. Reuse of food day in day out. Only good point was the fresh fruit and salad. The coffee and drink selection is awful. Wine is like drinking vinegar and don’t get me started on the soft drinks.
Room is ok - nothing amazing, tiny bathroom. But floor was dirty and we found toenails on the balcony floor. Cocktails are watered down with sugar syrup. Noisy guests at 4am, no staff on hand.
If you want a party hotel with no sleep come here!
- H6569JBmagdalenah (10/5): Fantastic memories - It was a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby attractions and the sea. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with daily cleaning service ensuring everything was spotless. The hotel’s restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious food and with a stunning view. I highly recommend this hotel!
- C5099YVjulial (10/5): Amazing holiday at City Green – we wish we could stay longer! - Our stay at City Green Hotel in Hersonissos was absolutely amazing! We spent 14 days here and honestly – we wish we could stay even longer. The hotel exceeded all our expectations – and then some!
The staff deserves a huge shoutout – they were incredible. Especially Mrs. Bogusia – a true legend! When she found out it was my birthday, she arranged a surprise: a cake, champagne, and… the whole hotel singing “Happy Birthday”! It was unforgettable and one of the best birthday moments I’ve ever had.
The food was really good – plenty of variety, and there was always something new to try. The rooftop restaurant with its beautiful views was just the cherry on top. And the all-inclusive drinks? Fantastic! The bartenders were friendly, fun, and created such a great vibe every day.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable – no complaints at all. And the overall atmosphere of the hotel? Perfect! It’s adults only (18+), which means no crying babies or loud families – just peace, relaxation, and a great social vibe. There were lots of young people to connect with, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
To sum it up – City Green is the kind of hotel you want to come back to. The atmosphere, the people, the service, the food – everything was on point. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday!
- christopheroL1139OF (2/5): 2 star hotel - we were very disappointed with every aspect of the hotel,it was intended to be all inclusive, the drinks were watered down the cocktails were extra. In the restaurant all the plates were scraped while everybody was eating. This is not a 4 star hotel it is 2 at best.We will never go back
- U6566JJjow (10/5): Best hotel for a relaxing holiday - We weren’t sure what to expect from this hotel but we were so pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are really comfortable (only negative would be the beds are 2 singles and not a double ) I’m a fussy eater and there was always something I ate from the restaurant, the bbq and Greek dancing night was great and lots of fun , the ice cream is incredible and all the staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The location is perfect for the main high street for shopping and then you have the sea front walk full of bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will be returning
- leannemE7707OY (10/5): We’ll be back! - Just back from a fantastic 2 week all inclusive stay here, food is great, drinks are great, Paulina, George & Manos in the bar are super friendly and know how to make a fab cocktail!! Pool areas are fab, saxophonist is superb and the bbq/cretan night is brilliant! Rooms are good with excellent air con and beds are comfy. Altogether a great hotel in an excellent location with friendly, hardworking staff in all areas. We will definitely be back!
- jojo-jojo61 (10/5): City Green Hersonissos - Had the best time at the City Green hotel Hersonissos, Staff are amazing from the cleaners to bar staff and reception and restaurant. Big thank you. Lovely clean hotel in a fantastic location. Room was very nice cleaned with fresh towels daily . Thank you again for making our stay special
- chatfield (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay! - We had a wonderful ten nights at this hotel, it is clean with a good selection of food and drinks. Very close to many bars and restaurants
Also. The bar staff are super friendly and we enjoyed speaking to them, polina, George and manos - thankyou you are all fabulous! On arrival we were placed into a different hotel over the road (unsure why, we didn’t ask and were not given a reason) the next day we were offered a late check out as compensation which we appreciated. It just seemed odd to have this issue when we booked our holiday a year in advance. I have no complaints though we had a super relaxing break at this hotel
- 434gintar_l (4/5): Unclean hotel - We left the hotel feeling very disappointed. I think it was the first time I found such an unpleasant hotel to stay in due to the poor quality of cleanliness. Upon arrival, the room looked quite dirty from the very beggining. It was even disgusting to stand barefoot on the floor. The balcony was full of grains of sand, I also found some plastic waste and even a pile of hair because it had barely been swept. We also found garbage in the wardrobe. The same situation in the room and in the bathroom. My pillow had dark stains. After every shower we constantly smelled an unpleasant sewage smell mixed with mold coming from the drain. The bathroom itself was too small for anyone. The tap and sink were also dirty and clogged. No one brought us soap either until we asked at the reception. Even after complaints, the quality of cleaning did not improve much. The food in the evenings was quite good, but I could not help but notice food residues under the heating equipment. The common areas of the hotel were also quite dirty, including the floors and the elevator.
- 436georginaa (8/5): Nice hotel for the price ! - We had one week at the City Green Hotel and overall we had a good stay after reading mixed reviews.
The location is great! Only a 2 minute walk into the town with all the bars and restaurants so that was really nice to be able to walk there.
The room was lovely and clean, and the cleaners did a great job, refreshing the towels daily. We did put the sign on the door though to double check they would come. Bathroom is very small, so showering can be slightly problematic. I would also suggest a shower screen might be better than a curtain as because it was so small, it clings to you. But overall the room was good.
The all inclusive drinks menu is fairly good however, a lot of standard cocktails weren’t included unless you paid extra. The hotel did have a list of their own cocktails which were ok. Also another thing to note the hotel claims the importance of sustainability, however the drinks outside were served in single use plastic cups so I can only imagine how much plastic is thrown out every day! I would maybe suggest reusable plastic cups by the pool which I know would require washing etc but definitely would be more cost effective and eco friendly in the long run!
Furthermore, I feel like entertainment was lacking in the hotel. It was nice and chilled but could maybe do with some more daytime/evening activities.
The bar staff were lovely, and I know they work long days and probably don’t get many breaks , but I did get put off slightly when they were smoking/vaping behind the bar. Just out of the interest of hygiene mainly and doesn’t look very professional.
Food in the restaurant was nice but basic, as a fussy eater I always found something I like and they did change it everyday. Also another thing to note is the dress code wasn’t enforced in the restaurant. For example, on a couple of occasions there was a couple of topless men in beach shorts, which is fine by the pool but not whilst you’re eating. Staff could have asked him politely to put a t shirt on.
Overall for the price we paid we had a nice stay but a few small adjustments would really elevate it !
- bxbyalii (10/5): 11 days at City Green Hotel, it was fantastic - The hotel is beautiful, the staff are great. Entertainment was perfect, we had a lovely stay here. The rooms were very clean, the food is delicious, very professional and friendly staff, and it was only a few minutes walk from the beach. I would definitely be back!
- patrickpB280CN (10/5): 11 days at City Green Hotel was extremely good with friendly and nice staffs - The hotel is very nice and the staffs are very friendly. The friendliest and nicest hotel I’ve been to. The food was nice, the beds were comfortable, the service was lovely, and the bar staff is extraordinary. Every Monday is Saxophone night and the guy was extremely good. Recommended to everyone who is trying to come to Hersonissos.
- jolins23 (8/5): 4/5 - The stay overall was very nice, rooms were cleaned everyday and cocktail list for all inclusive was very good! The people working at the pool bar were amazing and friendly. And the hotel reception were amazing and very willing to help us. There is a car park behind the hotel which is perfect as we hired a car when there.
There is loads of sunbeds around both pools so always room.
Only complaint is the bathroom. The shower was very small and leaked everytime we used it. Also the food was very hit and miss. Some days were really good, others not soo much.
But other then that, really can’t complain for the amount we spent on this stay as the location is also great.
- berrio_jnr (8/5): Lovely clean hotel within walking distance of both old and new town - Really clean and welcoming hotel! We stayed here for 11 nights and didn't have any problems. It has a great central location but not too noisy at night. Never struggled to get a sunbed anytime. My only negative comment would be the lack of toilets in the restaurant and pool bar area. Bar staff are amazing. Added bonus was a family of very cute mum and kittens
- CNDS3 (10/5): Excellent - Just spent 2weeks here, we would definitely return, food okay, always hot and a reasonable variety, alcoholic drinks ok but cocktails wasn’t as good! Beds comfy, we had a room on floor 3 which was below the restaurant, we experienced noise overnight due to late arrivals using the restaurant, after a few nights of limited sleep we spoke with Alexandra on reception, she was amazing, she offered us a different room immediately, she actually told us that we should have mentioned it earlier in our stay, she is a credit to the hotel she clearly aims to deliver the best service to everyone, the management should be honoured to have this lady working for them… the pools are cleaned daily and all staff are a credit to this hotel.
- walton_paul (8/5): Third visit to this Hotel - Female Reception staff are fantastic, very quick to resolve issues. Room cleaning was good. Food improved once the chief Chef arrived. Service in the Restaurant was good
Negatives: Only black tea available in the rooms, though website says Tea and coffee, Fridges are aged and getting noisy, would be nice if one of the pools was made a no smoking area.
- WilmandShaun (10/5): Excellent Value and Great Service - We have just returned from a 2 week stay at City Green and it offered great service and excellent value. Every member of staff from the room maids to the bar staff to the kitchen staff and reception were very helpful and very kind. We will return.
- davidbH899LN (10/5): Will we return? - home 27/05/2025
The 1st question you want answering.... would we return? YES!
lets start with the negatives.... the shower curtain is more clingy than a teenagers first love, the latter part of our week saw an influx of late teens who, although polite, ate the available sunbeds.
The positives.... The staff, outstanding service from the pool bar team, (George, Manos.... but especially Paulina 5*). The restaurant staff... brilliant (although the ladies need to embrace the friendliness of the engaging males.....who were excellent on Cretain night) Reception staff could not have been more helpful and the domestic team ensured our well proportioned room (but small balcony) remained spotless.... remember to put your "please clean" notice on your door.... we had multiple room cleans and fresh towels. The kitchen staff produce fresh, tastefull food at every sitting, but the menu is limited and would benefit from a more varied and local choice.
This is not an all singing/dancing hotel, this is an hotel that delivers good quality rooms and service, in a perfect urban setting (3 minutes from the sea front).
This review may be biased as we met some wonderfull people, including "the wiltshire/scotts hybrid....Irish and even Sunderlanders.. will we return....definately
- 52dazc (8/5): Great holiday - Hotels location is brilliant for the town centre and sea front . Arrived dinner time told had no room due to a flood so was given room for two days in neighbour hotel . Finally got our room which was rather small and a tiny balcony with chair and small table . Room has a fridge and free to use safe and free air con too . The girls who clean rooms are spot on always clean and fresh towels . Shower constantly floods bathroom floor seems inadequate to drain away so u will need towels on the floor every time . Pool needs re painting as it’s peeling away quite bad small bar at the pool is the only bar there at the hotel . Plenty of sun beds . All staff are so polite and helpful in all the hotel reception staff are brilliant and help with info if u want bus times or directions ect . Food is decent enough but very repetitive so eating out every now and then was needed and it’s cheap enough where ever you go . All in all it’s a nice hotel brilliant staff but could improve more in certain areas. I enjoyed the stay here it’s worth the money
- carolp5763 (8/5): Nice pleasant stay - Had a 2 week stay at this hotel. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. We had a problem with our room on arrival. So we got put up in a nearby hotel for 2 days. But got compensated by keeping our room on the day we left .. for free. We didn't get picked up til 10.20pm
There's 2 pools...only small. But ample size. We did notice in one pool the paint was peeling off the bottom. Loads of sunbeds.
Rooms were on the small side. But big enough. Thou I had to move bedside table to open the wardrobe. Shower was very small. More like a wet room cos the floor got soaked. Needs a proper shower tray. Free a/c and free safe. So that was a bonus. We had a very small balcony. Hardly any room to sit out on and nowhere to dry clothes.
The food was ok but could be better. Loads of continental items. But no proper bacon and sausage what us English like. Could have been a better choice of fresh fruit. We did eat out alot as it got abit repeatable.
Rooms got cleaned regular. So can't fault it. All in all had a pretty good stay and location was spot on.
- 264trishp (10/5): First time stay, certainly not my last... - Had a fantastic week staying at this hotel. Room was perfect. The beds were so comfortable...Alexandra and Vaso were so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my first time stay was certainly not going to be my last. The Greek night is certainly worth booking. Two pools to choose from.
- Explore64407951845 (10/5): Good value for money - City Green Hotel is a well-located, adults-only hotel just a short walk from the beach and the lively center of Hersonissos. The food is decent, with a mix of Greek and international options at the buffet. While it’s not gourmet, most guests find something they enjoy, though it can get repetitive over a longer stay.
There are two outdoor pools, both clean and with plenty of sunbeds—no need to wake up early to reserve one. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially at reception and the bar, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Room cleaning is regular but can be hit-or-miss, with some guests noting it could be more thorough at times. Still, rooms are modern and comfortable enough for a laid-back stay. Overall, it’s a solid, no-frills hotel that offers good value for the price.
- J3817EC_ (10/5): Perfect place to be - Very nice and clean hotel..The staff is very friendly and helpful any time you wish.T
The location is perfect, very close to the center of the town, and in 5 minutes you can have everything you need from restaurants to bars or souvenir shops. We definitely cone back!
- Michelle (8/5): - Heerlijk hotel en dichtbij het strand en centrum. Lekker eten. Alleen het drinken (frisdrank) was minder, maar de cocktails waren wel weer lekker
- 487martynb (6/5): Hit and miss - Start with positives, clean rooms and grounds, staff friendly and helpful, negatives.
Food not good, breakfast very poor evening meals basic at best, drinks very weak and pay if you want brands.
Would I stay again yes as a base and if cheap enough, I paid £800 for ten nights AI and 4☆ it's not, resort excellent so enjoyed stay so if you want a good AI this is overall not for you.
- catherinewR3647JW (10/5): Excellent - Am confused at the bad reviews I've read. We found this hotel to be wonderful. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was lovely and the location excellent. We will definitely return! Our flight home to the UK is early evening and the manager told us we could keep our rooms until we needed to leave for the airport. We were also given lunch. Thank you for a lovely stay.
- stevencB7684RT (2/5): Sh#thole - This hotel is at most 2 stars
The food is repetitive and terrible quality
No fish dishes for the week we were there
The beer and wine taste like dishwater
The nearest toilet on the forth floor restaurant is in the basement
The rooms are dirty and the beds only get made and not changed
The only plus for this hotel is the location
- kostasi752 (10/5): Great Value for Money in a Perfect Location!” - “
We recently stayed at this hotel for a week, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from the main strip and the beautiful seafront. It’s a great base if you want to explore the nearby shops, bars, and restaurants, or just enjoy a relaxing day by the beach. The hotel itself is small but well-maintained, with a modern, clean look from the moment you enter. Our room was cozy and spotless, offering all the essentials, including a fridge and a safe at no extra cost. The air conditioning kept us cool, although it’s placed right above the bed, so you might need to adjust it to avoid a sore throat in the morning.Food at the hotel was fresh and varied. Every meal included a range of options, from 12-14 hot dishes to fresh salads and locally-sourced fruits, which we appreciated. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor, and the views—especially at breakfast—are simply stunning. There’s show cooking during breakfast and dinner, adding a nice touch to the experience. We did find that some items became repetitive after a few days, but that’s pretty common with all-inclusive stays. The bar offers a decent selection of drinks, and while some beverages were more basic, we found the gin and local wines quite enjoyable. It’s worth noting that premium drinks are available as part of an upgrade, but we were happy with what was included. The all-inclusive bar service runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., which is a fair window for most guests. The hotel is adults-only, so it’s generally quiet and relaxed, which suited us perfectly. We always managed to find sunbeds by the pool, whether at the upper or lower pool, depending on where the sun was. The pools were clean, and it’s a great spot to unwind with a drink from the bar nearby. There are a few limitations—like the compact bathrooms—but considering the value for money, we felt these were minor inconveniences. The staff is the real highlight here—always smiling, helpful, and ready for a chat, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and well-located hotel that offers good value for money, this is a solid choice. It may not be a luxury 4-star resort, but it certainly provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. We’d recommend it for those who want to explore the local area and enjoy a peaceful, budget-friendly getaway.
- Paradise65155849229 (2/5): Sh#tty green - Hotel looks lovely upon entry and was immaculate everywhere, went to our room it stunk of damp and had wires sticking out of an uncovered socket right next to the toilet my Mrs complained and was told we could change room tomorrow and they would address the wires then the following day no rooms available same everyday our room you couldn't swing a cat in couldn't open wardrobes because beds are to close bathroom was just a joke my Mrs is 9 stone and she couldn't even fit on the toilet so I never even tryed the shower a dwarf would struggle now the food if that's what they call it was stone cold every meal we dared to have a look at the drinks even the premium drinks are watered down crap this hotel is an absolute joke, customer service shocking
- stuart (8/5): - The staff were very helpful, the situation of the hotel is central for easy reach to all shops cafes bars and the beach.
- dominique (4/5): - literie correcte , salle de bain tres tres petite , aucune insonorisation. menage laisse à desirer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s a very clean hotel the ladies came everyday to tidy the rooms etc, food well you couldn’t for any better for selection, would I go back again to the same hotel and the answer to that is YES.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was clean and new. The location was nice as it was close to the bus and also close to the water. The bus from the airport costs less than 3€ However, when we arrived the staff was unaware that our stay was supposed to be all inclusive. After I pulled up the email with proof, she relented and gave us wrist bands. Also, there were two of us in our room but we had to give a deposit of 5€ to get two room keys. Also, it is 10€ if you want to use a pool towel. The food was good but mostly all the same every day. The night bar tender wasn’t very skilled at making drinks although the day bar tender was excellent. The pool closed quite early and the bar seemed to close right after all-inclusive ended at 10pm. Our ceiling started leaking, but the staff did come put down towels and made it stop leaking right away. Overall, it was a fine place for the price. If you stay here, just recognize that it is economy style not luxury. We expected that, so we were happy enough with our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely place, near to the city and good food$$$
- Danny (8/5): clean and quiet - great staff - This hotel is nice and very clean with a nice new feel to it having recently been completely refurbished. The staff are superb, particularly Nico and Alex on the bar. They are all very friendly with good English.
it was a very late flight and the restaurant was closed but they even had some sandwiches in our room so that we had somthing to eat on our arrival.
a bit of advice get on google maps and find exactly where the hotel is before you travel, the coach drops you off on the main road and not all the drivers know the hotel is as its set off the main road. its only a 1-2 minute walk but you will find yourself wandering around the back street at night for 10 minutes looking for it.
overall very good really enjoyed our stay
- stephen (8/5): - Modern hotel, rooms small but very clean. Staff really good.
