- Adjepong (10/5): Relaxing, quiet and homely - We love the Claremont. We had a smaller room than usual this time but it was still great. The location is perfect and we had a look in the garden this time too. Absolutely nothing.
- Alin Rosu (10/5): - Cozy, warm, and lovely area. They allow dogs also Did not affect us, but reception is not always manned, so make sure you let them know in advance when you arrive
- Nneka (10/5): -
- SERGIO (8/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): - It's a great house, central location and very quiet. Nothing.....it was all great.
- RACHEL (8/5): clean, safe and comfortable - Very clean, safe and comfortable.
Itâs very hard to find clean and safe accommodation in Brighton, so this is a good find. Itâs spotlessly clean.
Very quiet too, no loud partying groups like in central Brighton
Beautiful crisp clean linen
Like the âroom onlyâ rate as most work trips / expenses are now heavily scrutinised / capped with the economic insecurity so it helps to reduce costs Low water pressure
Quite expensive for one night but that said all accommodation in Brighton (and the UK) is now VERY expensive and generally over priced. Thatâs the rise in costs of everything and not the providers fault
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Maria (8/5): Great location. Within walking distance of the sea front. Independant cafes and restaurants nearby. If you needed to go - Loved the decor. I felt very relaxed. Beautiful Victorian architecture. Fun walking up the creaky stairs. It certainly had a lot of charm and character. Bedroom was lovely overlooking the pretty gardens. Breakfast choices were excellent. Just enough too choose from the menu. The room was very warm, trying to work out how to turn the thermostat down was difficult. I had the window open up all night ( safe& secure) .
- Karen987 (10/5): -
- Tracy (8/5): Had a good stay. Nice view of garden. Good location for the marathon. - Staff were all lovely and friendly
Room was very clean and good selection of teas, coffee biscuits etc. Bed was comfy and sheets felt good quality. Breakfast was tasty. Felt a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint. Water pressure poor and hot water kept going cold in shower. Room (12) smelt strange and the bottle of water tasted clinical. Quite expensive for just two nights.
- Guest (7/5): -
- Anne (10/5): It was peaceful and comfortable. - comfortable and good location can't think of anything to say
- Richard (8/5): -
- Lance (10/5): -
- Ellie (9/5): Whimsical stay right by the sea in the enchanting hove. - I loved the uniqueness and style of the property. It was cozy, and felt like home away from home. I LOVED the location, maybe best location Iâve ever had from a hotel. So close to so many fantastic restaurants, shops, and not to mention 5 minutes from the beach! Also a great pick for solo travel! The single room was perfect. The walls are very thin so you can hear neighborâs conversations, but the staff canât really help that it is an old building. Just something to keep in mind.
- Deborah (9/5): I would certainly stay here again and have no qualms recommending to others - A very warm and friendly welcome is top of my list. The room was comfortable and very clean.
A huge bed which was also very comfortable with lovely bedding.
I liked that they provide everything you could possibly needâŠeven down to black makeup flannels so that you donât have to worry about ruining the white towels. The shower flow was not very good
- Birgitta (9/5): -

- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely. Will stay here again. - Location was perfect for me.
A little noisy outside early in the evening but quietened right down by bedtime.
I got upgraded to a bigger room for my stay which was lovely and the room was really pretty and comfortable. Needed a bit of extra loo roll left in the bathroom - I had to conserve the little I had until morning!!
- Hazel (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Molly (10/5): Lovely. Calming. Joyful. - Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Room was clean with nice facilities. Location was ideal, close to the beach and local bars, restaurants, independent businesses. Pillows were slightly too firm, but that is just personal preference.
- Harriet (9/5): - Traveling alone, I found the single room ideal for one night and conveniently situated for the Brighton half marathon. The single bed was amazing and comfortable.
- Artur (9/5): -
- Leslie (10/5): Brilliant - Great room with a four poster bed and loads of space Bit cold during the day but once the heating came on great

- Karolyne (8/5): Great place to relax. Would return in an instant - Great breakfasts with lots of choices. Coffee was especially good. Lovely garden. Wonderful staff. Great location. Very hot room due to very hot weather. Could have used room darkening shade. Terribly slow wi-fi.
- Dawn (10/5): -
- Wayne (9/5): - Great location. Easy access. Good breakfast. Large ensuite rooms.
- Karen (7/5): Good - Good but not amazing Not 5 star
- Katharine (9/5): - The breakfast was delicious.
I had to arrive quite late in the evening (when no one was on duty) but the staff provided very clear instructions and a lovely welcoming letter.
- Ros (9/5): Brilliant, comfortable and relaxed. - The staff were unfailingly cheerful, willing and helpful - even suggesting we moved to a different room so we didn't have to manage so many stairs.
The food was excellent and we were offered tea and scones when we arrived. A loo seat that didn't fit the loo and wobbled - but a minor quibble in an otherwise wonderful stay.
- Sabine (9/5): -
- Ferry (9/5): - Very accommodating and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and pleasant as well.
The room was very comfortable. No lift access unfortunately.
- Rachael (9/5): Excellent - Clean Too cold in bedroom
- Marie (10/5): Really enjoyable and I would recommend and return! - The location was excellent for us. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable The shower pressure was a bit weak

- Tanya (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Hotel review - Nice room, nice staff, classy Victorian hotel.
Breakfast good. Being November near the sea the rooms were cold and difficult to warm. The shower water in the morning was also tepid.
- STEPHEN (10/5): 5 stars - Rooms are spacious and comfortable with friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
- jean (10/5): Family visit to Hove - The location was perfect for me. A very warm and friendly welcome and all staff at breakfast were friendly.
Room was good, bed comfortable. Room at the back overlooking the garden. Nice and quiet.
I liked all of the art work around.
Will definitely stay again. Nothing really.
- Clive (10/5): Excellent stay in a hotel full of Victorian character. - Plenty of healthy choice for breakfast. Room was very comfortable. Hotel ideally located near local shops and walking distance to the seafront / promenade. N/A
- Julie (9/5): Lovely hotel comfortable bed fab breakfast second visit and hope to be back soon xx - Beautiful room and such a lovely location Would like a few more biscuits and water đ€

- Stella (10/5): Very comfortable, thank you - Very clean and welcoming N/a
- Melody (10/5): I would come back :) - Breakfast was so nice, well cooked and served quickly.
The room had a good biscuits and hot drinks
Very comfy room, perfect for just me Noisy outside on Friday night, but not in owners' control, is due to central location and provided ear plugs helped very much
- Eva (9/5): - Everything was great, 5* indeed.

- marta (10/5): Foi muito boa. Muito atenciosos, localização perfeita. - Achei o atendimento excelente!
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Kinsley (9/5): -
- Robert (6/5): A clean and tidy hotel in an excellent location close to all the communities. Breakfast was less than acceptable. - The young Spanish receptionist who greeted me on arrival was excellent. She could not do enough to assist and explain about the property and local amenities The breakfast service was extremely disappointing. The waiter attending to the breakfast could not have provided more stark contrast!
- Della (10/5): -
- Fiona (9/5): we will probably be back as it's a lovely place - friendly people, nice rooms, lovely breakfast, well priced car parking nearby, great location. all was good
- Peter (10/5): The hotel was clean, comfortable and with friendly staff. It enhanced the enjoyment of our weekend. - Everything Nothing
- graham (9/5): A restful night and relaxed breakfast before travelling home. - Location perfect for us as we were visiting family Shower pressure could have been better. Would havae preferred a shower enclosure, not shower over bath.
- sheila (9/5): Good - Friendly staff WiFi poor
- Michael (6/5): It worked - Location good. Room small. Breakfast poor.
- jeremy (8/5): -
- Noel (8/5): A lovely place to stay if you are visiting Brighton ! - The staff were absolutely fantastic, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful
The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices available
The bed was extremely comfortable, and even though we were at the front of the property, it was very quiet at night We had absolutely no complaints about it

- MARK (8/5): -
- ANDREW (8/5): -
- Paula (9/5): Very pleasant in beautifully appointed room and furnishings -
- Alessandro Mantico (1/5): - It was quiet area..great for sleeping
The restaurant team lovely I arrived and my room was not ready.
Receptionist not friendly but on the rude style
Breakfast average
Room horrible..
No worth it for the price
- MARK (8/5): -
- Eli (9/5): -
- Jen (7/5): Beautiful hotel really close to the beach just beware the breakfast! - The staff was incredibly nice, warm and helpful.
Location & proximity to beach and lovely eateries was fantastic.
The four poster bed and decor in bedroom and main hotel was beautiful and the deep bathtub dreamy.
It was lovely being able to have breakfast in the garden which is lovingly looking after. The breakfast ranged from ok to honestly really bad. First morning had vegetarian breakfast which was fine if slightly meagre in portion size and we didnât receive toast with it - had to wait for the server and request it after weâd finished.
The second morning I ordered eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was vile - tasted more like a really bland bread sauce, on eggs! Couldnât eat it. My partner had the veggie breakfast again and the hash brown wasnât cooked properly. Also the cafetiĂšre coffee was borderline undrinkable. Definitely not what Iâd expect from a 5* hotel with a good breakfast award⊠Such a shame as everything else about the hotel is amazing!
- Lisa (4/5): Dated but not as good as the pictures by a long way.should be rated 3stars not 5!!! - Nice building externally but dated with cheap furniture that was tatty. Breakfast was good but very slow. Waitress tried hard. Overpriced in our well travelled opinion. Should be ÂŁ120/130 per night.
- romain (9/5): - L'emplacement au calme, la propreté, le personnel, le petit déjeuner inclus Rien de spécial !
- Robert (9/5): -
- Doris (10/5): Immer wieder gerne. Blackheath ist ein sehr netter Vorort. Ich war zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel. -
- antony (1/5): Grubby waste of money with no continental breakfast at all - The property is a 2 star at most . Very dirty and the food was minium and rubbish
But the the poached eggs were runny The grubby ness
Missold as a 5 star which is utter rubbish
- PARK (10/5): -
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- Heather (9/5): We loved it. - We coldn't use the shared space downstairs because of a private event. We weren't notified before hand.
- Michael (8/5): - Banger of a place to stay. Even had candy in the room. Extra points. Breakfast was fast and tasty.
- Francesco (8/5): Lovely accommodation but a little bit pricy. - Lovely accommodation very cosy and British style. Nice details in the room. View on the garden is a plus. The area of Hove is very pretty. Breakfast buffet is very poor (orange juice, fruit salad, and cereals only). However, you can order lots of things a la carte. Price is a bit high even if it was high season (ÂŁ225 per night for regular double room).
- Douglas (9/5): The staff were excellent Anna and Alicia helped resolve remote control so we could use tv. - The location and breakfast was good. Most of the hotels that weekend had increased their prices for PRIDE.
Missing TV remote.
- Raj (10/5): Thanks for the jar of fruit salads and black jacksđ - Breakfast was delicious each. I chose something different each morning as I wanted to try so much, lots on offer. Delightful greeting upon arrival and help upstairs by a lovely young guy with my bag. In a fantastic location with loads of shops, restaurants and bars around you. Will most definitely stay again when visiting my daughter. Bathroom on the slightly smaller size but was fine as I was solo travelling, but really clean with all sorts of useful toiletries towels and bathrobe.
