Guest Reviews
- Christopher (2/5): - Booked a room, got there and had to call a number on the door. Place looked empty but had no vacancies even though the booking when through.
- Rick (2/5): - Todd at the desk was nice. The property was in very bad shape in a very bad area could not really cross lanes to get to it then not even consider staying there based on every view after being there for 10 minutes. You need to go there and understand what I am talking aboutP my wife was very afraid of the area based on the location of Motel and no one else being around.
- Davin (2/5): - Throughout my life, I’ve stayed in numerous dive motels across this country in the spur of the moment. Nothing. And I mean nothing has ever been like this. The attached picture is literally my room. Cellophane over a broken window. Roof collapsing. Literally had to step over foot and a half tall weeds to get to the door. Open the door to musty, and most likely mold and mildew, rolled the sheet back and spiders were in the bed. If I could’ve got my phone out quick enough. I would’ve taken a video of it. I know there are ran down places in Western PA. But there’s no way this place should be allowed or have an occupancy permitto be open at all. Went right back up to the office. Told “assistant manager“ I wasn’t staying there and wanted my money back. And was told to bad take it up with the owner. Hopefully Travelocity will straighten this out.
- Kelly (2/5): - It was filthy and completely rundown. Down had been jimmied with a crowbar and window was broken and fixed with Saran Wrap and wood. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
- Miranda (2/5): - The guy who runs the place seems very nice, but this hotel is run down. Ceiling tiles were missing, the sheets had stains, it smelled disgusting, I don’t think the heater worked, ect…
It seems the guy who runs the place doesn’t have the money to fix it up, which is sad to see as this is a cycle of he needs to fix up the rooms to get guests but doesn’t have the money to do it.
- Kathy (8/5): - It was a quiet stay no problems
- Melissa (2/5): - Doors didnt lock and headboard was hanging on the wall with one screw fell off hit my husband in the head and holes in the wall and wires sticking out from the lights
- Helene (2/5): - Very creepy and did not feel safe getting out of the car.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Great room for a greater price
- Sandra (4/5): - No amenities, bed was clean and made up. The two pillows were adequate, however asked $10 for 2 more. Also $10 for any extra towels. We rcvd 2 bath and 2 face cloths. No bathmat, no grab bars, no non slip tub. Tried to get us to pay cash. When we said we had already pd., said no pmt had been made. I pd with credit card i used with expedia, hoping to recoup .
- William (2/5): The place is a dump. - We checked in on Saturday 15 Oct and the outside is a dump. The rooms are a dump. The rooms are from the 1920's and there was no bathroom door. The second rooms we saw had plaster scraps on the floor. This Inn seems like a place that rents rooms by the hour and not a family or a couple. We left after 30 minutes. Return our money - $197.58. My email is: bearharper@aol.com
- SHU (2/5): - This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. WIFI does not reach a big proportion of the property. The room is damp, dirty, small, and smells bad. The manager can be willing to meet your needs. But he also often says this is the old motel this is what you should expect, while the condition is far below the bars. So I don't expect this place will get better.
- Xarles (10/5): - Large tub. Was good getaway spot while my house is undergoing remodeling.
- david (10/5): Good Basics - I met the owner, Matt I believe his name was. He couldn't have been nicer. The accommodations are basic, but I knew that going in. I just needed a place to land for the night with no frills. The room was clean and there was even a carport to keep my vehicle out of the hot sun. And I had an expensive bike inside, so that offered more security. This is a good place for a basic crash pad for a night or two.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Using an offshore booking agency is counterproductive to good customer service. I booked a room on Thursday August 1 in the evening. I told the agent (who could hardly be understood) that my wife and I need it for about 2 hrs to get ready for a party in the area. take a shower etc. It cost $77. Only 15 minutes later my wife told me the party was cancelled and will probably happen next Friday. I called the booking agency Expedia and told him I need to cancel and will reschedule next Thursday. He said I CANNOT cancel or move the date. I told him that was preposterous, I had never of not being able to cancel a room reservation, if done within a reasonable time. He became rude so I called the Inn and spoke to a guy at the front desk who told me, no problem. Anyone can cancel a reservation for any reason. He said he' handle it. Of course the next day my VISA card had the $77 charge on it, This is customer service at its worst and motels like Huntingdon Inn hire these mamalukes who can hardly speak english. And after some mild protests the little shadrool hung up on me. Very nice, Huntingdon.
- zachary (2/5): Just don't! - So I was looking for a cheap room for the evening and I decided after much researching that I would go against my better judgment and get a room here. The hotel/motel was empty except for the man working the front desk, I got my key and went to find my room. When I found the door to my room I truly thought it was an outdoor closet door because there was no number on the door or wall and a bunch of old siding and roofing in front of the door which is exactly why I figured it was just a closet because surely no one would actually have that kind of stuff just sitting outside of the door but I was wrong. When I went into the room and it had a strong BO type smell, I will say that the room seemed very clean except for the smell. The bed was sitting on stilts it seemed and was really high up, as quickly as I walked in I walked out and went down the road and paid double for a room at the Holiday Inn Express. I should have probably tried to get my money back but I wasn't even going to go through the hassle. The $66 that was charged for a room like that should have been about $35 but that is just me. The room was tiny, it looked as though they had a small space that they didn't know what to do with and decided to just put a room there. Do yourself a favor and just find a different hotel/motel
- Michelle (2/5): Stay away - The place is not open they are close completely messed up our plans
- Karen (6/5): - It was fine for the 2 of us arriving at 9pm and leaving at 7am. Our room was a work in progress:unfinished painting, molding, caulking.Only ceiling light; no bedside lamps. No chair or suitcase rack. It was nice that we parked in a carport right next to our door which was especially nice when we were packing the car to leave in the morning.
- John (4/5): - Appearance undesirable
- Bobble (6/5): - Ive been on tall beds but shish. Was almost on the ceiling
- Marcellus (6/5): - Rog at desk was very professional, helping in pleasing my needs...i thank him for his hospitality.
- Shanell (6/5): - It was just a room to sleep in. Not the best area, and I believe room had bugs.
- SQ (4/5): - There was no one at reception and the receptionist came out after ringing the bell several times and knocking the door.
I was told that the room booked is not good and i have to pay $ 10 extra for a better room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty - Horrible. Dirty as can be. Did not get a refund so we left as soon as possible. Did not even think to sleep there. Please save your money and go somewhere else.
- Maria Catone (10/5): - It was awesome.
- dodgey75 (2/5): DON'T STAY HERE! - This was the most horrible mistake I ever made in staying at this location, the experience shall I hope to never have again in the near furture.
First off if you book for this location and you book for a room at the rate of $55 you will get the most dirtiest room possible. Burns in the comforter, sheets stained, toenails etc etc moldy room smell. You will get sent to the back of the inn where it is a complete mess which looks like an abandon dump yard, you will not feel safe at all. No fridge or microwave the pictures are deceiving. When you do go to complain about the issues you will be charged $10's extra for an upgrade room which the owner calls nicest room not the cheap cheap room he has, these were his words. The somewhat better room of the others are in the front. Those few rooms are the pictures you see.
The owner/manager whatever you may call him will cancel your reservation so you can't write any reviews about your stay, he had done this to me. I called booking.com and they told me they never cancel any reservation if unless the hotel/Inn does it from there side. So he will lie to you saying that they have cancelled it not him. So the upgrade I did get the experience was this I couldn't sleep at all I was woken up with bites on my arm and on my forehead where it was swelled up have no clue what kind of insect which had bit me or what bit me that was it, I packed my stuff and left this location. I had booked for 3 days but cut it short instead just drove back home changed all my plans which my home was 10hrs away. You won't find much reviews on here but you will find many reviews on other sites about this location.
- Clammerdave7728 (8/5): Nice location, clean, responsive management - Very nice clean large room. L.C.D. flat screen T.V. if my memory is correct. Nice queen firm bed. Only minutes from downtown Pittsburg at one third the price. On a busy highway, but that makes it convenient to get into the city. Road noise is not a problem. I think they had a min - fridge in the room, but I am not sure. King's restaurant ( like a regional Denny's ) is a mile down the road. ( thanks to the local guys at the coffee counter who took me under their wings and advise me where to bicycle, what to see and area's to avoid )Very friendly manager. Will be back to Bicycle with him on the Pittsburg to Washington bike trail !
- john (10/5): clerk was very friendly, excellant value - excellant value for the $50/night cost just outside Pittsburgh, full bathroom, microwave, small fridge, AC, covered parking, security cameras, friendly desk clerk. For $50, great value, clean.
- Damian (2/5): Not unless you have to - It was the dirtiest room I've ever stayed at in my 40 years of life, but I guess for $50 what do you want. The toilet bowl and towels were deffantly over the top as far as beyond filthy. The wash cloth was more of a cleaning rag not a towel I'd ever let touch my body.
