Guest Reviews
- M (7/5): Back in time in a comfortable bed - Nice people there who try to keep history alive. Bed was clean and big, room was spacious. Dinner in the speak easy was good and had live music. Room at the front had noise from the street. Breakfast was minimal and the staff threw away the groceries I left in the fridge.
- Susan (10/5): Very happy! - Quaint historic hotel. Staff was very friendly. Steep stairs to room, but they didn't have elevators in the late 1800's so it was expected. Would have like to have dinner at the hotel, but it was not open for food yet. Look forward to staying again when food is an option.
- Joyce (8/5): We would stay here again! - The banana bread was great and it was nice to have yogurt and other items available as well. Myles was absolutely great. Let us check in early, made changes we needed to our reservation, TWICE! Great communication. The stairs were tough, but we made it! That was the only thing.
- Mary (10/5): -
- Charles (10/5): - Le couple qui gère l’hôtel est vraiment adorable. Ras
- Shawn (10/5): Love this place. - The staff, the ambiance and historical feel, the location Even though I said I liked the location, the traffic noise being right there at the busy intersection was loud in the AM. But I'll take the location over the noise.
- Kristin (10/5): We had a wonderful time staying here! We really appreciated the accommodating staff! -
- Eugene (10/5): -
- John (10/5): This is a great historic hotel in a great little town! - This hotel is GREAT. The town feels so safe. I dealt with staff only via phone and text. This old hotel has creaky floors and it costs extra to get a room with a bathroom in it (my room had a sink and shower, and the toilet rooms were across the hall). The bed was very comfy and I got a good night's sleep. I don't know how many other people were staying the night I was there, so not sure if the footsteps I heard outside my door were from one of the ghosts that reportedly haunt this place, or from another guest! Lighting in the shower (in the corner of the room) needs to be improved. Otherwise, this old place had everything I needed.
- Jo Ellen (9/5): - The hotel is old but keeping in the era.
Clean rooms; helpful staff!
- Raschel (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - Nice room.
- Tina (10/5): Awesome old historic place to stay - We loved everything! The staff was great, the bedrooms were very clean and set up in a really unique way that was very homey. If you like amenities more than the feel of a place then you would probably want to stay somewhere else. However, we loved it and next time we go that direction we would happily stay there again! There was nothing we didn't like
- Erik (8/5): - Prijs kwaliteit
- Danielle (10/5): - Old character charm
- Laurie (8/5): Sweet hotel - This was a historic quaint hotel in a great location for walking to get something to eat and drink. If you can’t climb stairs though this place isn’t for you. The owner checked us in and gave us an upgraded room. WiFi was a bit weak and we couldn’t get the tv to work, but we would stay there again.
- Karen (10/5): Vintage luxury at economy price - Charming vintage and homey decor, friendly staff, and reasonably priced gourmet dinner restaurant with live music on premises. Worth every penny!
- marina_I_love_travelling (9/5): hotel caratteristico, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo - Hotel situato in zona centrale e tranquilla.
Personale molto disponibile e gentile.
All'interno c'è un ristorante, gestito dai proprietari, l'abbiamo provato e abbiamo mangiato bene.

- JAMES (10/5): - The hotel is a true time capsule. When you stay there, you are transported to another age. It is a genuine Old West hotel experience. Super nice people, awesome food, the real deal.
Find a reason to stay at the Historic Hotel Greybull. It's an experience you don't want to miss!
- Lauren (4/5): - We received a call that afternoon asking when we would check in. Ok, weird but no big deal. Small town, whatever. So I said we were about 40 mins from town. When we arrived we were trying to get our 2 small children out of their car seats when the lady came out to our vehicle to hurry me up to come in? It felt very rushed and like I was an inconvenience for not being there earlier. For the record it was around 4/430 in the afternoon - we aren’t talking 10 pm. The room was fine, towels were fluffy, definitely wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve stayed but it wasn’t bad.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Everything was great. Our only discomfort was the loud AC. But it was very hot and we needed it to run all night.
- subash (10/5): - Nice convenient location
- Barbara (7/5): Unique experience. Stayed one night before heading to Yellowstone. - It was unique. Breakfast was included. Shared restroom. No light in shower. No hot breakfast but room rate was low enough that it really wasn’t expected.
- Sabine (10/5): - Außergewöhnlich super!!!
- Katelyn (10/5): - We had an amazing stay. We were surprised with a room with a kitchen and three queen beds in two rooms for our family of four. The owners were super friendly in the morning during breakfast.
- Petra (10/5): Very nice and clean authentical place! - Very nice, clean, historical, authentical place. Lovely personal. Will come back for sure
- Brandon (10/5): -
- Tobias (9/5): -
- Ramunas (10/5): A piece of good ol’ America - The hosts were super nice. The first accommodation in the USA I’ve been to that didn’t waist with single-usage dining utensils and I praise them for that.
- Frost (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (8/5): Something different and quirky but still very comfortable - Quirky, historic with a real old west charm. Great location, nice breakfast A/C was noisy
- Johannes (10/5): Road trip Denver-Rapid City - It’s an amazing hotel, historic but still very clean and comfortable on a great spot in the center of Greybull.
- William (10/5): Quaint, comfortable, great breakfast. - Great place. Nothing.
- Jeyvh (10/5): Glad we found this hotel on our way to Yellowstone! - I like the location, Ms. Rosie in the reception (she was so accommodating!), the room, and the banana bread in the morning. We were looking for a room to stay overnight in Greybull and Historic Hotel offered the best deal. I am very thankful.
- Paul (8/5): Lovely break for our drive to our trip to Yellowstone. If you are staying at Greybull this is the most obvious place. Lo - We booked the family room and got a massive space. 3 rooms and a kitchen. It was a huge amount of space.
Local to all amenities although Greybull isn’t the most exciting town. There was a very strong smell (urine) that was a bit off putting. I realise the place is old, but old to USA. It’s not old in comparison to places in England, so I would have expected a bit more upkeep internally.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Tolley (9/5): It was an fun experience in an elegant historical hotel - The breakfast was good which included homemade banana bread! The room and view was beautiful. The person responsible for the accomodations was super helpful as she made an extra trip back to the hotel to help us get settled into our room, especially because I needed extra plugins for my CPAP machine. It was after hours. I loved the special touches made in this historic hotel for the guests. She was very friendly and made us feel at home The stairs
- Joanne (10/5): - Great staff, clean, quiet room. Note that the toilet is down the hall (one for ladies, one for men). There is a shower in the room.
- Micha (10/5): Exceptional - A perfect, quiet, and charming hotel for an overnight stay. Commendable breakfast. ---
- Rob (10/5): Great customer service and overall great stay. - Really neat old property. Quality bed and bedding.
- Edward (10/5): - Clean with all the necessary amenities.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (10/5): A quaint hotel where we had a relaxing evening and enjoyed a lingering coffee breakfast in the comfortable lobby! Read t - Classy old hotel w/ tons of character! Train noise but grew up with that so felt like home
- Clark (9/5): Very welcoming and accommodating. Really enjoyed the ambiance. - Breakfast selection was limited, but met our needs. Fruit, cereal, milk, juice and coffee available. Nothing fancy but comfortable and friendly. Nothing.
- Donna (10/5): - Perfect for our group to visit together
- Marco (10/5): - Everything was just perfect
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Marneta (3/5): Poor -

- Tracy (10/5): - great stay and super pet friendly
- Paige (10/5): - The floors are a bit creaky but absolutely charming! The 9pm siren from the local fire station was surprising but fun!
- Louis (10/5): Check it out on your way to or back from Yellowstone - Traditional charm with all the modern amenities
- Bruce (10/5): authentic - the originality of furniture etc. Long stairs to rooms if problems with mobility
- Shyang (9/5): Superb - all
- J (10/5): We’ll plan on staying here again. And we recommend this hotel to our friends. - Yummy…and excellent coffee.
- Lane (10/5): - The owner was super nice and accommodating. Although there were several other guests, there was never an issue with the shared toilet. Loved that it was renovated, but still kept the history and charm with hardwood floors, high ceilings and antiques. My husband and I are traveling across the country and have spent over $500 for one night in a hotel and this has been my husband’s favorite and, by far, has the best coffee. I told the owner the rates were too low. It is right on the road and about halfway between Mount Rushmore and Old Faithful.
- Kooistra (10/5): Great! - The hotel itself is a gem. What fun to stay on top of an old speakeasy! If you can, stay on a Friday or Saturday when it is open to experience it. The bed was so comfortable and we loved the whole vibe of the hotel! N/A
- Megan (10/5): - The owners were very friendly when we checked in. The property was clean and close to local shopping and dining. We rented the family room and had a full kitchen and 3 queen sized beds in seperatrd rooms. It was perfect for our family of 6.
- Brian (10/5): Very clean historic hotel Highly recommended - Owner were personable and catered to our every need
- Eddie (7/5): Good -
- Cammie (10/5): Exceptional - Love historical places No bath tub
- philip (8/5): - Great mexican food across the street
Up a flight of stairs and the perfect amount of funky
- don (10/5): - So much fun staying in a place with so much history. Very friendly staff. Would have been nice to have a couple of sitting chairs in our room, but no biggy.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): - Great spot and friendly staff.
- Elijah (10/5): Historic feel yet comfortable and clean. - Very historic feeling but it was very fun and comfortable. There were a lot more room then i was expecting, the building itself was interesting to learn about. Would stay here again if I ever came through Nothing
- Katie (8/5): Very good -
- Lanko (8/5): Very good - The building is great and the rooms are really nice. The hosts are friendly. They advertised a room nominally for 4 people, but it was just a room with a king-size bed. And the room wasn't much bigger than the king-size bed.
- Brian (10/5): History at is finest - What a gem of a place. Beautiful room, quaint town and wonderful time.
- Agatha (7/5): Good - Clean A bit pricey
- Macd (10/5): Good old fashioned hospitality. Charming, fun, and immaculately clean. -
- Cecille (10/5): - The beauty of the old original building.
- Yi-Tsang (8/5): - Great
- Pietro (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Thank you so much to Rosie for your hospitality! - The property was so different and historical! Nothing
- Julie (10/5): Loved it! If you want something a little different would highly recommend and the food was fantastic - Super lovely owners, amazing dinner in speakeasy, great little breakfast, super cool historic hotel

- Janet (10/5): - This hotel has a lot of character. Rosie gave us good recommendations about places to eat that were open on Sunday as well as a tip about seeing Devil’s Kitchen
- Brice (10/5): Wonderful historic hotel - Everything! The rooms were lovely, we felt at home. The breakfast was amazing!! Real close! Home cooked pie! Nothing.

We were traveling by motorcycles and the destination was the right miles from where we started. For what I expected, all was fine. I suppose a private bathroom would be nice, but I get it.
