- Dina (9/5): Het was een heerlijke locatie, we komen graag nog eens terug. - Het personeel was allemaal erg vriendelijk! Ontbijt was prima en het de tuin en zwembad waren ook uitstekend. Wat ik erg jammer vind, en dat vind ik echt een minpunt, is dat je niet van alle restaurants en Bars gebruik kon maken omdat deze vanwege een lang weekend, feestdag, volgeboekt waren. Wij zijn gasten van het hotel, en ik vind dat gasten gebruik moeten/ kunnen maken van deze diensten. Wij wisten niet dat we rekening moesten houden met reserveringen.
- Keiko (9/5): また朝食を食べに来たい。 - 朝食が美味しかった。魚味のお粥が絶品。朝から牛肉麺が食べられて満足。メニューも少しずつ変わって、3泊したけど飽きない朝食。スタッフも親切。クロゼットにドレッサーがあり便利だった。 歯ブラシ、歯磨き粉、シェイバー、シェイビングフォームがない。部屋にはフロントに言えば精一杯対応します、と書かれた説明書きがあったのでフロントに言ったら、環境に配慮する台北市の決まりで置けないので、コンビニで買ってとくださいと言われた。これが精一杯の対応？バスタブの方にもシャンプーやコンディショナーなどを置いて欲しい。プールの更衣室のロッカーの文字が小さく読めなくて困った。サウナの扉にサウナと書いてないので、サウナがどこにあるかわからなかった。

Throughout our stay, she demonstrated genuine care, strong attention to detail, and a calm, confident presence in every interaction. What impressed me most was her ability to handle situations with warmth and composure, always maintaining a sincere smile and making guests feel at ease. The experience at Mandarin Oriental Taipei truly embodies the brand’s renowned “MO family” spirit — refined, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. He/ She tidied up my amenities in the bathroom in decent order, cleaned up the cable of my hair dryer and charger, and he/she placed my personal stuffs on the desk nicely and properly. even the floor mat was laid perfectly. I like how they deal with things in great details. The TV should have been replaced to smart TV with built-in apps like netflix. as the chromecast connection was poor. the quality of the screen is not good.

- X8311RVrichardr (6/5): Quite a weak showing for a Mandarin Oriental - I think if you manage to pay $300 or so then it’s fair, but we were paying over $500 per night in March ’26. A week before we’d been at the Mandarin Oriental in Shenzhen which was almost flawless and around the same price for a much better room w/ breakfast and Club level access. Mandarin Taipei has several major failings. For the first time in my life (and 50+ Mandarin/Four Seasons/Aman/Ritz etc stays), I’ve gone to a hotel breakfast and been told that we need to wait 10 mins for a table! When we checked the breakfast room it was hectic and not at all relaxing, with people attacking the buffet area like locusts. I asked right away how occupied the hotel was and it was only 2/3 busy. We ate out every day. We also tried the gym. Similarly extremely crowded and odd choices of equipment - useless duplicate leg machines but no pull up bar for example. Sauna was only 60 degrees. The hotel is also a bit old and is not in the best part of town, we had a view of some ugly under construction buildings and some ugly old buildings even though we were up on the 16th floor. It’s connected to a ghost mall with only about 6 shops. There are not many good choices in Taipei, until the Four Seasons opens. So I’m not sure what to suggest instead, but the area around Taipei 101 is a much nicer part of town if you like cleanliness and better landscaping and urban planning. We still had a nice time in the city despite the hotel. Some great nature and hiking options. Oh and when we left no one asked how our stay was…hence my review here.

- 34ng_np (6/5): Lovely room but everything was just okay - Overall, the hotel room was comfortable and well-maintained. I appreciated the beautiful birthday surprise arranged by the team, which made my special day feel even more memorable. However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. The breakfast selection was quite limited, and unfortunately many dishes were not served hot, which was disappointing, especially on a cold winter morning. The breakfast area also felt poorly organized. Considering the number of rooms in the hotel, the restaurant space seemed rather small. Many families stayed for a long time, which resulted in other guests having to wait for tables, creating some inconvenience. In addition, the building complex is very large and includes several areas open to both hotel guests and outside visitors, which made the environment feel crowded at times and less private than expected. I have stayed in many luxury five-star hotels, I believe these are areas where the hotel could improve. I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Veronica for her warm hospitality. Her thoughtful welcome made me feel truly special on my birthday.

- davidjR8095FB (8/5): Lovely rooms, great staff…terrible food - The rooms re lovely, the staff helpful and friendly. But this place is totally let down by food and beverage. Breakfast was disappointing or bad every day…including dry and cold food (that should have beenhot), under cooked (ie raw) items and so on There is no casual food option at all. There’s a coffee shop but it won’t serve you….got told couldn’t have coffee as it was afternoon tea time and the only option was a full afternoon tea service…so got sent outside (in the rain) to a bar! Room service had lovely staff…but food was cold. None of the F&B fits the MO brand. So lovely rooms and lovely multi lingual staff completely let down by terrible F&B. On a positive note….all the front desk staff were great but special mention to Mika the concierge. She was very helpful and offered great advice.

- trippyNYC (8/5): Nice large rooms and service, a little busy - Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed Lunar New Years Eve (didn't know it was the holiday) and the hotel was pretty busy but we were able to get early check-in and a spa appt booked after checking in. The guestrooms are a good size tho it was a little odd that there was furniture completely blocking access to the windows to adjust the window treatments. Breakfast was very busy, we had to wait to be seated. There was a nice, very large selection of western and Chinese food. The spa is quite enormous and has a separate locker room from the fitness area. We were out for dinner and came back late and hadn't received turndown. It looked like someone came in and closed our drapes and lined up our room slippers but our towels and bedding weren't tidied up at all. Someone came up right away, but was odd the turndown wasn't performed properly. We received a little stuffed horse and chocolates for lunar new year. Also some fortune cookies, which I thot was weird cause fortune cookies are kinda fake Chinese food but I guess are crowd pleasers. The hotel is very pretty but somehow it feels congested and tight spaces.

As instalações não estão à altura da rede Mandarin Oriental . O estabelecimento pode ser considerado como velho. Os vidros da janela dos quartos estavam muito sujos. O café da manhã, embora variado, deixou muito a desejar em relação à culinária Oriental.

- mrstraveller1 (10/5): Wonderful - I loved this hotel, it has a wonderful old school, established elegance, whilst also being bang up to date with in-room mod cons and cool bars and restaurants. Staff were outstandingly gracious and helpful, the reception team, super friendly and super efficient, both in pre-stay emails and in person. Service was also flawless across restaurants and bars. The location is good, though Taipei is sprawling, its points of interest widely spread. My room was stunning - plush, spacious and thoughtfully equipped. The bed, blissfully comfortable, lighting and drapes, high tech, sockets and wardrobe space, plentiful. I also really appreciated that my request for a room with lots of natural light was noted and delivered. A further treat was the generous array of complimentary sweet treats, courtesy of the fabulous in-house patisserie. Bathrooms are marble clad with upscale products and a Japanese style loo offering every service you can possibly imagine! I dined at 2 of the hotels restaurants, the sexy MO bar, and the Michelin starred Chinese eatery, 'Ya Ge'. Food was unmemorable in both, but service, flawless. You also have an array of additional F and B options on-site as the Mandarin is housed within a glossy and very high end shopping/leisure arcade. A fantastic stay, highly recommended.

- world-traveler1968 (10/5): Elegant luxurious hotel - Elegant luxurious hotel with excellent service. Room was spacious and elegantly decorated. The common areas are impressive and overall the whole building is an architectural beauty. There is a heated outdoor pool. The breakfast area was fantastic with a vast variety of choices reflecting local cuisine: it was a feast every morning! The team in the breakfast area was extremely welcoming and followed their advice in choosing local teas! We visited their evening lounge bar which I think is opened to the public felt like s night out. We couldn’t book a table at their Michelin star restaurant as it was all booked but were lucky to be invited by locals to a gem not far from the hotel (walking distance) i highly recommend (see my other review re shanghai banquet). The hotel will require a taxi to go to Taipei 101 unless you don’t mind walking (20-25 minutes).

Nice option of pillows For the price I paid, it's bit disappointed what I have experienced. Checking line is not efficient, some staffs are not well trained, still friendly. beverage in the refrigerator cost money and normally is free in other hotel in this kind of rate / level.

- mathiaschr (10/5): Best Hotel in Taipei - Great hotel with spacious room, delicious food and amazing services. Check in went smooth by Ms. Yvonne Lim as well and check out with Mr. Xavier. What I really love about the hotel is the service of the breakfast team, thank you Yienna, Angeli Castro and also Ms. Chima who gave me a suprise with taiwanese pancake during breakfast. They are really kind, helpful also attention to detail.

I cannot find a single fault with the hotel. This is exactly why Mandarin Oriental is one of my favorites and I chose them in HK, Macau and Jakarta.

- JeanMarcQ1 (2/5): MO values: we disappoint and surprise our guests - My wife and I are currently in a Deluxe King room on the 15th Floor at the MO in Taipei and have wanted to extend our stay for another 3 days. The front desk manager, Mr Jacky Cheng, tried the prior 2 days to sell us a Club Deluxe King, more expensive room which we turned down. However, for convenience sake, we decided today to extend our stay as yet, and thus accepting the same category room but at a 20 % higher price. To our great astonishment, we are still asked to pack our bags and check into another room at a lower floor. The reason given by Mr Cheng was that a group booking will take up part of the 15th floor. Has the MO focussed their priority now on servicing charter groups instead of returning loyal customers??? Does providing excellent service not include some flexibility which is expected from a 5 star hotel? Instead of saving time to move to another hotel, we now have to pack and unpack our bags again. The fact that Mr Cheng offered to help us pack only after we told him we would convey our displeasure to Mr. Karan Berry whom we know from his time as general manager of JW Marriott in Jakarta, does not ameliorate the inconvenience. We are totally appalled by the attitude of Mr. Cheng and wonder whether he is fit to perform such important function. Mr. Berry, you wished us a delightful and exceptional stay. Unfortunately, it has turned out the opposite.
