Guest Reviews
- Andrea (10/5): - The staff was amazing. Everything is so thoughtful and full of love and magic! Such a beautiful get away.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. It was like a little apartment. The well stocked, full size kitchen was a bonus. We were just steps from the dock, beach and pool. They serve coffee and daily home made scones. (absolutely delicious) We actually extended our stay for another night.
- Jennine (9/5): Lovely Place - It was spacious and clean, had all what you would need if you were staying longer than a night for kitchen facilities and utensils. bed was comfy and view from the porch was lovely. Could have done with some coffee tea etc I get it was fully self catering but tea & Coffee would have made it a better experience
- Christian (7/5): -
- Lars (10/5): Toll - Tolle Bungalows super am Wasser gelegen.
Sehr sauber und komfortabel. Was will man mehr.
- Adrian (10/5): The scones make the day. - Very nice place nice staff all good overall
- Cook (9/5): Very nice and quiet. Would stay there again. - Private, waterfront with wonderful views.
- Steve (10/5): Gem in Key Largo - The beautiful grounds and kayaks to use. Pegs scones and coffee in the morning were delicious. Water pressure is the only negative
- Ann (10/5): Wonderful place in Key Largo - Beautiful place, quiet, great views, lovely rooms and outdoor spaces, great breakfast with scones, fun yoga lesson in the morning - enjoyed every second there and would have loved to stay longer!
- Kristy (10/5): Hidden little gem! - Perfect little get away! Sunsets are beautiful from the dock. Morning scones are the best! Hope to make it back soon.
- Silvia (10/5): Una meravigliosa scoperta - Posizione meravigliosa, spazi aperti molto rilassanti, con quei piccoli dettagli che aiutano a sentirsi bene. Personale accogliente e simpatico!
- Ricardo (8/5): - Coffee and scone truck a very nice touch. Sorry but sone guests are too loud . I’m Cuban and I I’ve sales music but I do t really want it blasting when I’m trying to enjoy the water .
- Tracie (10/5): - The staff were excellent, very clean property, nice location
- michael (10/5): well went for walk through the botanical area and enjoyed how it was. Everyone is super nice would definately stay agai - close to the water very clean and enjoyed the landscaping and the bed N/A
- Patrik (10/5): 10+ i betyg - Ett helt fantastiskt boende. Inget

- Sebastian (10/5): - Sehr persönlich geführtes Familienhotel. Super freundlich und sehr engagiert. Eine positive Überraschung! Und die Scones sind wirklich gut :)
- Jeanine (10/5): A beautiful warm and friendly resort - This is a very special resort and we had the most wonderful relaxing days here. The room, bathroom, pool side were lovely and spotless clean. Beds really comfortable. The resort owners and staff were very genuinely friendly and very helpful to point out things to do in the area. They advised on best weather conditions for snorkelling which helped us not miss the opportunity to be able to do this. The resort has a family friendly warm and welcoming atmosphere, not to say is placed in a beautiful location on the bay. Peg’s morning scones are not to be missed! We highly recommend Coconut Bay Resort for anyone looking to stay in the area. All good
- Karl (10/5): - beautiful place.
- Nancy (10/5): Worth the trip!! - Beautiful, restful, resort… so accommodating and friendly. Definitely will go back
- Karen (10/5): - This was a beautiful family owned property with a private beach! They served homemade scones and coffee every day from a little food truck right on the property. Great service, refreshing pool, and kayaks/paddleboards for fun adventures in the ocean.
- VILMA (10/5): - It is a very nice and clean property, beds very comfy, everything is well maintained and we loved the little scones for breakfast. The baker is a very nice lady
- Chera (1/5): READ REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING!!!! - The location is great. Has potential to be a great place if only better customer service. I stayed here in February and it was wonderful, Jonathan was very welcoming at this time. However, when I recently brought my family back last week, Jonathan was like a total different person. This time we stayed in #24. Right away I noticed the TV would not connect to apps and neither would my mother's or my phone connect to wifi. #24 is off towards the the side a bit away from the office. I had the girl at the desk come look and I called Jonathan on his emergency number. Although not an emergency the front desk girl did not help and I have properties I have to monitor several cameras as well as I work from my phone. Jonathan did not answer, so about a half hour later I called again as it was around 830pm and I wanted to catch him before he went to bed as he lives on the property. He answered and proceeded to tell me Internet was down on the whole property, however the cottage next to me the cpl were sitting on their porch and I asked if they could connect to wifi and they said yes. You have to be able to connect to the guest not main wifi. I couldn't connect to guest. Jonathan proceeded to tell me I was not the one who made the reservation and could he " speak with my mother"! This was very offensive as the FIRST stay I paid over $1200 for 2 days and this stay I paid over $900! Why he was asking to speak with my mother I have no clue but he became very belligerent and rude! Claiming no one had wifi and if I wanted to leave tonight he'd refund me!!!! Leave at 9 pm with my family????? He then began to ask for my mother over and over. Instead of just saying that the wifi reception was very poor in my area and could he give me a partial refund .....he proceeded to speak to me very condescending and tell me I could go to the office and login to their wifi! I told him I would be to the office and expect a refund for the following day and would be leaving.
- Britney (10/5): They Have Real Coconut Trees! - Beach access, kayaks, scones, comfortable mattresses! Forgot to bring a fan (I sleep with one), stayed up late and woke up to the birds super early so didn't get much sleep. This is my fault. If you need a fan to sleep, BRING ONE! =)
- John (9/5): Superb -
- michael (10/5): - This resort is awesome. We loved it. The property is beautifully landscaped. The staff is absolutely incredible. Very clean and quiet. We plan on going back. The coffee and scones are amazing. Cant say enough about this place.
- Curry (10/5): - Fantastic hotel.
Great staff...impecable rooms couldn't ask for more.
Try the scones!
- Qing (1/5): Bad -
- Dekel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wynand (10/5): A fantastic Key Largo small and intimate resort - The meticulous attention to detail and the large waterfront area. The scones freshly baked every morning is very special Nothing
- Lina (2/5): - Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend
My initial impression was awful. Upon arrival, the front desk lady went over a long list of strict rules, all of which had to be cleared by the owners first. I was shocked to find out that guests are not allowed at all. No pets are permitted either—yet the owner lives on-site with two huge dogs freely roaming the property.
There are no lights near the dock or beach at night, which feels unwelcoming and even unsafe. The whole atmosphere is more like a retirement community where you’re expected to wind down by 9 PM.
They also refused a late check-out and wouldn’t even allow us to stay on the premises after checking out. This was hands-down the worst experience I’ve had at a vacation rental. I absolutely do not recommend it and will never return.
- Michael (10/5): We have stayed here 3 straight years and plan to return as often as we can, love it! - Beautiful property, very well taken care of, setting is perfect with incredible views Room and bathroom is small. The blinds on the windows allow too much outside light in at night and the room is very light all night. We prefer a darker room for sleeping, just need some drapes.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- kaitlyn (10/5): - Amazing property and on premises accommodations.
- Van (8/5): really nice - beautiful setting, great staff, clean, great morning treat with free coffee and scones! the room/bathroom was just a little cramped.
- Lisa (10/5): - The scones every morning were delicious! I enjoyed the quiet personal home and the complimentary kayaking was awesome! Can’t wait to come back again soon!
- Ralph (9/5): Superb -
- Charles (10/5): - We found the people running this were friendly, breakfast and coffee was good, they provided fins, masks, kayaks and other fun things at no charge. I would definitely stay there again.
- Joyce (10/5): Beautiful Oasis Getaway - Beautiful location and great amenities with the pool, beachfront, and kayak/paddle-board usage.
- Robert (10/5): Amazing! - The property was beautifully landscaped. The room was comfortable and spotless. The property had everything, a pool, a beach, a lovely sitting area with Adirondack chairs, and free coffee and amazing homebaked scones each morning. The owner Peg, the baker Kerry and the rest of the staff were wonderful. I liked everything about this property.
- Kyle (10/5): Will be back!! - Staff was super friendly, sines were absolutely delicious, and views were amazing! Nothing!
- Jeff (9/5): Superb - Very clean I think it was too pricey. Fair price for our stay should be around $295. We would come back very often if prices were better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing resort, fantastic location - An amazing resort in a fantastic location with beautifully maintained grounds. Gorgeous ocean front location with tons of areas to relax, kayak or paddle board.
Rooms are updated (room 23), VERY clean and have all amenities.
The small touches like morning coffee/tea and fresh backed scones are a nice touch from the very welcoming staff.
- Philippe (10/5): Exceptional - The place is just great. Great layout and very nice people.
- Alessandra (9/5): Idyllic - The location and amenities were wonderful!:) we had a great time kayaking and the enjoying the nature. The staff is very friendly and also gives a lot of recommendations. We really enjoyed the stay and exploring the area. The resort beach is very cute and comfortable and the hot drinks and scones in the morning are also a lovely treat! Rooms get a bit stuffy and hot so it would be great to be able to open the windows and have some protection against insects :)
- Curt (10/5): Exceptional - So close to the water and very personal staff, other quests were friendly like a family atmosphere
- Wendy (10/5): - This place is great for families, it’s quiet and safe. This booking was a last minute change because I forgot to book a night between stays. I cancelled our original hotel and decided to splurge on this property. Sometimes fate intervenes and you wind up finding a gem. WE LOVED LOVED IT! Our bungalow was private, spacious and close to the beach , which was never over populated with towel saved loungers. The Christmas themed breakfast area which showcased Pegs scones and coffee was the cherry on top. The pool is large and never over populated. We will return. Every couple of days my husband and I still find ourselves saying, “I could go for one of Pegs fresh scones!!!”
- Cynthia (10/5): Wonderful stay! Exceptional staff and facilities. - Everything! The grounds are well kept. The cottages are very clean. Kayaks and other water equipment are well maintained and clean. The fresh scones and coffee in the morning are a bonus. We will definitely stay here again!! N/A
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- Vicky (10/5): Beautiful, traditional Keys vibe - Charming, well maintained and homely Nothing, it had everything we were looking for.
- Timothy (10/5): - Loved meeting Johnathon and his mom Peg, great people, great scones! We stayed for a week, really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful grounds.
- Corina (10/5): - The nicest staff! Such a nice property, pool and beach access are great. Scones are delicious
- Sean (9/5): Superb - Lovely Bungalow well equipped a nice resort There wasn't anything to dislike
- Al (8/5): It’s not a high end busy hotel, but if you’re looking for a relaxed pretty atmosphere w excellent hosts then we would re - We enjoyed the tropical style & serene setting of a private garden area. You are able to walk around & feel like you’re in another Caribbean setting. The beach area by the water was pretty for day time relaxing & watching the sunset at night. The housing was very well kept, clean & comfortable. We did not hear noise from others while inside at all. Upon first glance you may be concerned that you’re over paying for an older property & somewhat out of the way. True, some “rooms” are more simple than others, but again you can choose to upgrade for additional costs.
- Piotr (9/5): Great, friendly place to stay in Florida Keys - Very friendly staff, decent size room, lovely grounds, our daughter loved playing with the squirrels Nothing
- Coleen (10/5): - The staff was lovely and could not do enough for you 😁
Just one thing that would have made the place excellent was a safe to put valuables in !
- Tracy (9/5): Free kayaks, right on the water, great free scones and coffee. - Great scones and catered very well for caeliacs.
- Michael (10/5): - Love the coffee and scones in the morning, kayaking out around the gulf. Peg, Johnathon, Briana, the whole staff is very accommodating.
- Dawn (10/5): - We loved our stay here and will visit again. Sunset on the Bay is beautiful. The staff is very nice, and very helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful landscape. The scones at Peggys were delicious! Kayaks are in great condition and included. The water is crystal clear and you can swim here.
- Andrea (8/5): Wonderful place in a beautiful setting with very attentive staff. We very much enjoyed our stay! - Very beautiful and serene property. Good water access. We stayed in.a cottage and it was really wonderfully located. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. They had all kinds of water activity equptment you could use. The sunsets were beautiful! Very clean! The room could us a single brew coffee maker. Decor was a bit dated, which isn't a big deal to a lot of people--but an update could take it to the next level. However, the room was very clean and comfortable.
- keller (10/5): - Friendly
- Donna (10/5): Loved this hidden gem. Will stay here again next time in Key Largo! - Beautiful tropical grounds. Waterfront access to gorgeous sunsets and water sports with provided kayaks and SUP. - Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (10/5): - Internet is almost obsolete. Trouble connecting to WiFi. Great property. Awesome scones and the owners are great. I suggest paper towel should be added to the kitchen.

Resort is peaceful and amenities are excellent from paddle sports to the pool. The scones…. Are AMAZING! Breakfast is an absolute treat with the fresh made scones! You cannot possibly have just one, you must try them all!! Rooms are great, property is great! Can’t wait to stay here again!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We stayed 2 nights at Coconut Bay Resort in Key Largo. We were 100% satisfied with the comfort, cleanliness, and service. Mrs. Peg’s scones and hot tea were delicious!

Family board games you could check out as well. In the morning, they had a food truck with fresh baked scones and coffee or hot chocolate! Absolutely delicious! The whole property was quaint, beautifully landscaped and quiet. We will definitely stay there again if visiting the keys. The only downfall is, we only had one day there. Loved everything!

- Eszter (10/5): All inclusive awesome accomodation - The property, the location and the hospitality were all perfect. We had great time with the family. We were watching the sunset from our cottage every evening. I highly recommend to stay here.
- Charlotte (10/5): Peaceful and perfect - Stay was perfect…not commercialized, quiet, peaceful, sunsets were beautiful, scones were great as well as the coffee, owner was wonderful and Johnathan was very nice. Nothing
- Bauza (10/5): be sure to check out the complimentary Pegs Scones on your visit as they were delicious! - it was a beautiful nature-filled property with an exceptional staff! the private beach access was amazing and the all inclusive Kayaks were a great touch!
- Lisa (10/5): - It was a lovely and convenient property. Very pretty and quiet. Loved that the property was on the water with free kayaking and paddle boards.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): - First and most important, free scones! And definitely the best ones I've ever had. The staff are uber friendly and accommodating. The property is smaller, but thats what we wanted. Its great for families, but also great if you just want a nice quiet place. They offered free kayaks and paddle boards. Definitely will stay here in the future.
- Dana (6/5): No breakfast - We were looking for a vacation with breakfast included, since we arrived with a baby. Breakfast was only coffee and sweets, which was disappointing.
Other than that, it was very nice, quite and clean.
- Ron (10/5): - Peg and Jonathan are great host. loved the scones.
- Lois (7/5): Good -
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Juliana (10/5): - Independently owned and managed, staff cared and were excellent, whole place run with love and kindness to a very high standard.
- Shelley (10/5): - The facility was tucked away in a beautifully landscaped area with native plants, shrubs, trees, flowers. It wasn’t very visible from the road. The cabin we had was completely remodeled and very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful, engaging and genuine. It was a little gem hidden away for those who prefer a quiet serene experience from the traditional large hotels.
- Cosette (10/5): Exceptional - This place was awesome. Very cute accommodations and resort, right on the water. Got walked to our room and the receptionist gave us the nickel tour. Super comfy! Homemade scones and coffee each morning was a bonus. And we crossed the main road to go to dinner at Sal’s Ballyhoo. So good we ate there both nights. We’ll be back and recommend it to anyone who asks us. Loved it.
