Guest Reviews
- Gabriel Luis (2/5): - For a day there was no water, they said I'll take a few hours and it was nearly the whole day. When i asked if they would provide a partial refund or offer anything for the terrible conditions they said nothing. When I asked for the manager they said "the manager isn't answering their phone." It was a horrible hotel.
- Carline (10/5): - Everything great
- Nino (10/5): - I am not gonna lie, my first impression was not positive, however, once i visited the room and saw how clean it is, and after speaking to the friendly staff especially AKRAM who went above and beyond with his great customer service skills.
He didn’t hesitste a moment to accomodate me with all requests I needed.
Because of AKRAM, I will definitely be back.
Thank you team Phenix hotel of making our stay memorable!
- Adrienne (8/5): - An eclectic but clean hotel. Management is working on upgrading the facilities. This was a reasonable priced hotel and fabulously situated transportation wise. Literally right around the corner from the Arc de Triomphe. I knew rooms were going to be very basic but that’s what we needed. The continental breakfast was perfect (paid extra). Overall satisfied with our stay and would use them again if ever in Paris again.
- James (8/5): - We needed a room with 3 beds, they only have 2 rooms with that option and was on the top floor. Was warmer than we are used to, but the other floors felt great. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Great value and pretty quiet area.
- Patricia (8/5): - Everything is close enough to museum and shopping
- Hector (8/5): - The staff of this hotel is so nice.
- Ani (10/5): - Very convienet and nice
- Isidro (8/5): - It was very nice stay.
- Michaela (10/5): - Ok
- MONICa (8/5): - Great
- Hec5 (8/5): - Stay was comfortable. Room was clean and very close to Arch Triumth and Train Station.
- Terry (8/5): Another in the standard French two star hotels. - This is another perfectly good, two star hotel. They deliver exactly what they offer. They deliver it well my room is very small, that is what I expected. It’s a small two star hotel, which was purchased on price. The staff were excellent. The location is very nice.
- Leyla (10/5): - Great place close to everything, staff were very helpfu. Room service great
- Larisa (8/5): - Very noisy at night outside the hotel!Could not sleep very well!
- Miguel (10/5): AAA+ Phenix Hotel the best - The hotel room is small but doesn matter, the place in general is great, the clean service is amazing and kind, the front desk is awesome, the place is super close to a cafe, and the arch of triumph, the main street ave where all the great stores are, 25 minutes walking to eifel tower, you guys are going to have a super good time if you reserve here, no kidding, no joke, no propaganda,
- Mya (8/5): - Although this was rated a two star hotel and in terms of services and amenities, it probably is two star, but it was perfectly located right next to a subway in front of a great little coffee shop and very quiet. If you’re the type of guest that requires lots of extra towels and lots of extra shampoo then this is not the place for you. This hotel really gives you the experience of living the Parisian Way, which is a little bit more Efficient and restrained.
The staff was always courteous and helpful. Our rooms were very well cleaned every day the place felt safe so other than the fact that it was a bit tiny and we had a limited number of towels. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a great location at a reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value and great people - Everyone here was very nice. Excellent location. Very clean rooms and really good housekeeping. I would stay here again.
- Cristian (10/5): - Very nice location, just 5 min walk from Arc de Triompbe.
The only comment is about the tiny elevator, it doesn't go to level 6th, so you have to carry your bags from 5th floor, everything else was pretty good.
- Adam (6/5): - Adequate
- Ruka (10/5): - The facilities and amenities were minimal, but the room was clean and the hotel also had a lift. It was very close to the station and convenient for sightseeing. The receptionists at the front desk were also kind, so it was a comfortable stay.
- Claudia (10/5): - No issues at all. Hôtel is very close to all the main attraction. Receptionist Akram Hussain was very nice, very professional. No complaints about the staff. Had a lovely stay. Highly recommended.
- Federico (10/5): - Amazing place
- Eliana P Echeverry- (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- Kylin (10/5): - Room was small but clean and modern. Location was safe & convenient and staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Susan (10/5): - It was just charming. It was a very small room, but who cares when you are in Paris? I wish the shower was a little bigger, but I loved the location and the price.
- Larry (10/5): Much better second time round - Second time staying here, room was recently renovated, really liked it. Service was great, took a few minutes to check in.
- Peter (8/5): - Hotel Phénix is exactly what you'd hope from a 2 star hotel a block from Place des Étoiles and l'Arc de Triomphe. Accommodations are modest, somewhat dated in places, but well-cared-for and signs of good attention to the physical state of the property. For instance, in my room, there appeared to be tile work that could have been within the last 3-5 years. Internet functioned well. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
There are so many restaurants and pastry shops in the neighborhood I didn't bother with the breakfast, but it was a reasonable 8 EUR.
My only proper dislike was the old fashioned door key (instead of a card scanner) and that the door didn't automatically lock. It's a minor complaint. But this was one thing that would have been preferable.
- JORGE (10/5): - Thr hotel was nearby art triomphe, norte dame, Louvre museum and Eifeel Towel.
- Jackline (6/5): - Excellent location and fresh linen. Walkable to the Eiffel tower and arc de Triomphe.
- luis (10/5): - Very nice considering the price
- Kenneth (8/5): - It was close to the arc and train station. Close to Champs-Elysées
- Evelyn (8/5): - It was a great experienced staying at hotel phenix. Staff are very helpful. It is very close with everything. The check in and check out super easy.
- Robert (10/5): - Very happy with the location also very good customer service. Thank you
- Donna (10/5): - We had a wonderful one week stay. The staff was friendly, the room was clean & the bed was comfortable. The location is great & close to a metro station.
- Laurie (8/5): - Rooms were clean, location very close to Arc de Triomphe, other attractions accessible by train, bus -easy to get around. Restaurants close by
- Paul (10/5): - Close to evertyhing
- Georgina (6/5): - Hotel staff and breakfast lovely. The rooms were very clean. However rooms dated and extremely small. Tiny showers, tiny lift.
A nice area to sit and chat would be nice.
Overall we had a lovely stay just could do with a bit of extra thought and update
- Richard (6/5): - The rooms are a bit small (depending on which one you get) and old but they are clean and comfortable. It is one block from arc de triomphe and close to trains. It is a 2.5 km walk to Eiffel Tower which took us about 30 min.
- Charles (8/5): - Excellent location. easy walk to dinning, and transportation, close to Metro line A. Narrow stires, but there is a elevator. staff is friendly, can speak some English
- Hank (4/5): Hard beds! - If you like sleeping on marble slabs and have a portable fan in your room where the blades hit the screen, this place is for you!
- javier (10/5): - Personal very helpful
- Plattner (10/5): - Very good, maybe change some colour of the rooms.
- Sheila (8/5): - location
- Fanny Aline (10/5): - The location is pretty good, the hotel is small but has all you need.
- Cobi (8/5): - The closest most affordable hotel to arch the triumph
- jamal (10/5): - breakfast very good .the room have no ac
- Temesgen (4/5): - The room doesn’t have air conditioning! I barely slept! If you are traveling in the summer, don’t even consider this hotel . It’s too hot and the tiny fan they put in the room is a joke, it doesn’t do anything!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Disappointing
- Kafui Annie (10/5): - Room is very clean employee’ was nice
- SHERMA (10/5): - Exceptional location. Excellent customer service. Bathroom shower and elevator is very small but this is nothing really to complain about. I would definitely recommend hotel phoenix to everyone.
- Scott (8/5): - Very close to subway. Large clean bathroom. Extremely heavy and loud bathroom door. Very tiny elevator
- Carey (8/5): - Location excellent. Room very small but everything we needed was in it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Sleepless Week! - Broken bathroom facilities. Thick layer of grime in toilets. Black mould in seal of showers, no shower door (clearly previously broken and not repaired!). The room has an underlying smell of damp as you walk in.
Walls are so thin, you cannot get a minute of peace. I could hear the people on my floor coughing, sneezing or snoring. You will also wake up to whoever has the earliest phone alarm!
If you want a decent night sleep, this is not the place to stay. Very disappointed.
- Karelia (10/5): - It was nice, love the location they were very helpful especially the concierge i forgot his name was an older gentleman amazing service definitely recommend
- Steven (4/5): - Triple rooms are very small, and the small elevators don’t reach the floor triple rooms are on. Also, no air conditioning.
- Stacy (6/5): - Very small room, floors were dirty, i brought a desk fan which helped because there is no AC, beds are hard, staff is friendly and helpful.
- Anthony (10/5): Perfect Base to start Exploring - Fantastic location in a beautiful city. Hotel is not a modern behemoth (the antique lift is a thing of equal beauty and terror) but that adds to the charm. The room was compact and as a Brit i would have loved in room tea-making facilities but otherwise a great place to stay, a great base to explore the city and i would definitely come here again.
- Daphne (10/5): - Loved it! Clean, central, very helpful staff. Highly recommend.
- Brenda (10/5): Paris - Amazing location . Close to subway 2 blocks from arc de triomph
- Sonia Marcela (4/5): - More like a 1 star hotel.
- Catalina (8/5): - This is a great value for seeing the typical tourist sights in Paris. Be prepared for very tight quarters and elevator. The staff is friendly and multi-lingual.
- KUNIHIKO (10/5): - If you like a five star hotel, stay somewhere else. I liked the hotel and I will choose to stay again.
- Angela (10/5): Charming hotel great rate centrally located - We were helped by the front desk person a lovely woman who spoke English--helped us with navigating the Metro to various locations----particularly helpful when we were trying to get to Austerlitz station to take a train south.
The room was very comfortable but on small side--however very clean and well kept by staff--clean towels every day . We walked up the winding staircase---which was part of this wonderful older building. It was in a great neighborhood a stones throw from Arch Of Triumph yet on a quieter street. Lots of nice restaurants in the area. Easy access to Metro. Great value for the money.
- Christopher (8/5): - The hotel is clean and the rooms well equipped, apart from the TV remote control, which needs new batteries! The bed was very comfortable, I had a good sleep. It is well located, 5 minutes walk from Place de l'Etoile.
- Carlos (10/5): - Okay
- Barbra (10/5): - Property was in a great location, steps from the Arc de Triomphe and metro station. Property was a bit old & outdated but was clean & in a safe area & the staff was very nice. Great central location for all sightseeing. Good if you want an old authentic Parisian hotel.
- Kolapo (10/5): - Service was excellent. Staff were courteous and helpful
- Victor (4/5): - Its close to the Arc which is good. Accessible to public transpo. But its so noisy you can hear the neghbor talking and they are loud
- Luciana (6/5): - Great how convenient the location is
- Jose Teopisto (10/5): - The staff were so kind and courteous. When we arrived early than our checking in time. But they were accommodating.
- Ken (10/5): - Loved my stay here. It’s close to everything and the price is great and the staff excellent!
- Christine (10/5): - The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. Excellent stay anytime.
- Elland Rey (6/5): - Ok but could be better
- TANZEEM (10/5): Convenient - Super convenient to all tourist spots! Lift didn't go all the way to 6th floor and building is definitely old, but management tries its best to keep up and is overall neat and clean.
- malika (8/5): - Great hotel in downtown Paris. I can walk to the stores restaurants to the touristic areas close to the train station taxis
- Jim (6/5): - Y
- Jerome (10/5): - Small family hotel , staff are helpful and great. I recommend this hotel.
- Carol (2/5): - The hotel room had a toilet in the shower area much like a camper trailer but without venting. No shower curtain and cracks in the shower. It was a tight space. The carpet looked very gross. The bed was ok. We did check for bed bugs but we didn’t see any. We were on the 6th floor and the elevator and stairs are very small and rickety. I would recommend to keep looking. The pipes were loud and you could hear people moving about more than usual when staying at hotels.
- Karen (8/5): - It is quaint and well kept in an active area. Very close to many amenities and transportation. The washroom is modern. Beds were very comfortable.
It was very compact but you only sleep there.
- Petra (10/5): - We came to this hotel second time in past year. The location is awesome, prices affordable and the hotel stuff will make you feel like you are their own family! They went above and beyond for our comfort - We absolutely love it and we will be back next year! Thank you again for everything

- James (10/5): - Ok. It's not the Hyatt Regency. But if you're on a small budget, staying in an expensive city like Paris, and want a nice area close to the action, what are you gonna do? It's got a great location, clean sheets & pillows, hot water in shower, a modern TV and a (tiny) lift. Any complaining reviews are unrealistic. The place is totally inexpensive and is great for those not planning on sitting in their room all day. Got a great 8 hrs sleep and fantastic dinner at Mojo, a few doors down. Mojo is a quality restaurant at a great price, too. All, steps away from the Arch of the Triumph. If you're wealthy go pay $350 a night, and I'll still get the same 8 hrs sleep for less than $100 a night.
- Brenda (10/5): - Convenient, a block and half to the Arc de Triomphe, the metro near. The staff we encounter were especially helpful in giving directions. The room was well situated with large bath. We enjoyed the neighborhood environment with small Servette on same block carrying fresh fruits, etc.
- Janneth (8/5): - I love that public transportation was very handle and restaurants everywhere. I did not like the room service, they would come and organize but not really clean.
- Patricia (10/5): - Place is safe and quiet!
- RAID (10/5): - .
- Willa (4/5): - I like the location and the cleaning staff was nice.A week prior to our stay they knew the elevator wasn't working but they still put us in the 6th floor so going up and down is such a pain. Also no hot water on our last day and we were not even inform until we ask about it.
- Isabel Marenco (4/5): - L'ascenseur ne marchait pas. J'avais écrit la veille pour confirmer notre arrivée et nous n'avons pas été prévenus de cet inconvenient. Trop mal.
- Rebecca (10/5): Brill! - Brilliant hotel. The staff are lovely and the bed i slept it was comfier than my actual bed at home, no joke!
- Kittinut (10/5): - Very good
- Thomas (6/5): Definitely 2 star - Small tired dated rooms with the smallest bathroom and shower I have ever seen
- roy (8/5): - Had a good stay pleased with the hotel just being on the 6th floor was a little challenging getting up the stairs.
Thank you friendly staff.
- Mark (10/5): - Great location, great staff.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Love the quality of customer service. Very near the metro which makes it extreme accessible to the entire city. Surrounding area was peaceful. Definitely a place if you are looking to spend most of the day out exploring and if you need a place to just spend the night!! Would definitely return.
- Alejandra (6/5): - Muy buena ubicación y el personal es muy servicial
- Hector (8/5): Good location and price - Small room and cabin style prefab bathroom
Good hot water but cramped.
- Mark (8/5): - Great central, good hotel to stop over in.
- James (2/5): - Considering I booked the room in May for October it was terrible. We had a building with elevator access except for the attic that we were supposed to stay in as stairs were our option. The room was terrible and staff had no interest in assisting you. Unfortunately I had to give it a star but it did not deserve any. I would advise anyone not to stay there. At least you can fill you drink bottle in reception with the leaking roof which management said was ok.
- catherine (2/5): - The room smelled moldy and the carpet in front of the bathroom was wet and the room was very small for two people we could barely open our luggage.
