- Natalie (10/5): Amazing Sunset View Room for Honeymoon! - We booked the Tramonto suite for a private sunset view and it was everything we asked for and more! The room had an outdoor area with a hot tub, day bed, and seating for breakfast. It was a wonderful experience seeing the famous Oia sunset in a more private setting. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The room itself had a wonderful cave vibe and was clean and spacious. The host, Dimitris went above and beyond for us multiple times. I was concerned that the hot tub would be too hot but Dimitris assured us that the heat would be turned off. We required car transfers to and from the hotel and he assisted us in booking those. Even after our stay, we needed a car transfer He and all the staff we met were amazing. There were staff members to help us bring our bags up and down Santorini during check in and check out.

- Bharat (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful and has a prime location on the island. The manager, Demetris, is spectacular. He greets you when you arrive from the airport and is always willing to help you when needed. There are many options in this part of the island, but I would go back here because he and his staff make the experience even more enjoyable. It is also very convenient. The mini market, shops, wine shop, and restaurants are all within a few minutes walking distance.

- Emily (10/5): Absolutely stunning - We stayed in the Avra Suite for the end of our honeymoon/my 30th birthday and it was incredible. The view from the balcony was amazing and the room was super comfortable. The daily breakfast that got delivered to the room was generous and delicious. The only feedback I have was that it would have been good to have some clearer check-in instructions, because once we were dropped off nearby, we weren’t sure where to go and weren’t aware that we needed to arrange for someone to meet us at a pickup point. Once we contacted them though, they were incredibly quick to come and help us, even taking our bags. We absolutely hope to return and stay here again.

I was especially grateful that the hotel kindly waived the room charge for the night we missed. Their understanding and compassion during a stressful time meant so much to us. I truly appreciate their excellent customer service and would highly recommend this hotel to others!

- Ma. Juliet (6/5): - The view from the suite is undeniably one of the best. However, people tend to flock in front of the suite no matter the time of day and night to take photos. The suite itself can use a little updating especially the bathrooms. It’s literally groping in the dark, especially at night. I understand that it’s a cave suite but the low single light in bathrooms can hardly illuminate the small space, plus the dark walls do not help at all. Some parts of the bathrooms and kitchenette are moldy. The environmental services staff are all friendly. The desk Manager helped make dining and transfer reservations for us which were very helpful.

Couple of things i want to mention. 1)standard breakfast is sent to room in take out containers,no choices are give,tea coffee not served and u have to pretty much seeve yourself. 2)the room was infested with ants next to the kitchen window so we have to be careful with handling food.

Oia is the tourist hub, but once you retreat down the hill to your room (and make your way past the lines of people waiting to take selfies), it all kind of fades into the background. Just be aware that it's lots of narrow steps up and down in case you have any mobility difficulties. Dimitiris was very helpful in carrying our bags for us. The room had all the amenities you need and breakfast with the room was delightful. Had a really wonderful stay in Santorini. The Greek people are incredibly hospitable in the face of overwhelming tourism. Adding a personal plea to others to be a respectful tourist. Clean up after yourself, embrace local customs and treat the people who live and work in tourist areas with the dignity they deserve. It makes traveling more enjoyable for everyone involved.

The breakfast brought to you was wonderful. The view alone was worth it. We got the sky suite and was perfect.

- Nathalia (10/5): - The location of the suites is superb if you are wanting to have the picture perfect Santorini experience. Just know that there is a lot of walking up and down steep steps. The Main Street in Oia gets super crowded and noisy when all the cruise ships arrive…but the small alleys where the Canvas suites are located are quiet and allow you to relax in your terrace. Our cave home was beautiful, comfortable, and had a nice terrace upstairs with a magnificent view and our private small pool. The staff at Canvas is wonderful. Dimitri and his staff went ABOBE AND BEYOND to make us feel welcome. They arranged our transports, made dinner reservations and personally helped us haul our luggage at check in and out (with all the steps and crowds in Oia it is quite an ordeal to do this on your own). I had a foot injury while walking down the steps to Amoudi bay, and ended up in crutches. Dimitri provided ice for my foot, guided us to the medic and pharmacy and even borrowed a wheelchair from the local health station to take me out of the crowded Oia street the morning of our check out!

We arrived earlier than our check in and were greeted with such hospitality by Dimitri and his staff. We were treated to a refreshment while waiting for the rooms to be ready and then personally escorted to show us everything the breakfast in the morning was amazing as well. He is absolutely the BEST! The view was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel room was so beautiful. The hotel staff maintain cleanliness very well. The breakfast was sooo delicious. One of the best breakfast we’ve had on our trip so far. Our hotel stay at Canvas exceeded our expectations of Santorini. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

The service we received from Dimitris was superb! He helped me coordinate in getting a champagne bottle delivered to my door as a surprise for my husband & I was able to pay for it at the end of my stay.

Please be aware that Mary and Dimitris the hosts will be nice to you if you arrange other services with them( where they get cut like boat ride, car etc). Also the 2 bedroom executive suits has no privacy. It comes with 2 bathrooms but both bathroom are on same floor and main bedroom has no privacy as it is on main level. When you book it make sure you book it with the people you are very comfortable with to share your privacy. Bathroom had weird smell and WiFi didn’t work on 1 of the 4 days. Also sick got clot in main bathroom for 2 days. Over all stay was good but the price I pay it was little disappointed.

The property was beautiful with a great hot tub that overlooked the sea. Tasos was always available and made sure pur every need was met. I can't say enough about the great staff. The breakfast delivery, the cleanliness and overall helpfulness. If you are planning to stay in Oia this is your place.
- Elise (10/5): Best way to experience Santorini!! - We had an amazing stay in the Artemis suite (2 king beds, private jacuzzi/soaking pool patio). The villa was beautifully arranged and very clean. The master bathroom has a very spacious double shower. We loved that they had a second bathroom with shower as well for our daughter. The patio area offers the most beautiful view of the famous church and the caldera. Passing traffic is quite light compared to other cave villas in Oia. Breakfast was excellent and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The perfect Santorini experience.

Previous negative reviews had a problem with check in - we did not have that problem, we were told exactly where to go and check in for us was a breeze. Our cave suite had two showers, two toilets and a hot tub. Bed was super comfortable and we had a direct phone number to Dmitri (not sure if that is the right spelling) who returned our message late at night in less than 5 minutes. Breakfast (hot and cold) was delivered to our room in the morning and tasted great. The view of the caldera cannot be beat. I would definitely stay here again.

- Jill (8/5): Pretty view in Oia - The hotel is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. The main bath and bedroom have a view from bed, the other offers a HUGE shower and double sinks, but is in the back of the cave with no view. The breakfast wasn't great, only one choice, they charged us extra for cappuccinos and the servers were not overly friendly. The other hotel we stayed at in Santorini had a great breakfast, with Caldera views, your choice of anything you want and included cappuccinos or anything you want. When you pay more, you expect more, not less. The private pool was the attraction for us due to the unseasonably warm temps. This was our second visit to Santorini, so we thought we should try staying in a different part of the island. If you are looking for a hotel in Oia, with a pool that is clean and offers gorgeous views, this is a great choice.

- MG (8/5): Spacious cave house of OIA - Overall a pleasant stay at Canvas Aphrodite suite. Location is great and quite centrally located within Oia. Dimitris is really helpful. Despite the unbearable heat, he came down personally to fix the air-con. We missed our breakfast the next morning but he tried to get us something to eat to ensure that we do not go hungry.

- Verified traveler (4/5): The very inconvenient cave room - The room was a cave. The shower was open and water went everywhere. They didn't replace the water. There was no way to charge phones. Communication was difficult with no phone in room, and couldn't call late at night. Always, had to adapt to their schedule and not the other way around. Ran out of toilet paper one night and couldn't call because it was to late. The bed sheets smelled like smoke. If it wasn't for the incredible view, I would give this place one star.
