Casa Delfin Guest House
Locally Owned | Authentic Caribbean Stay | Great Value
Casa Delfin is a locally owned and operated guest house in Las Terrenas, just steps from Las Ballenas Beach and an easy 8-minute walk to Pueblo de los Pescadores.
We offer five different rooms, each with its own personality and price range — allowing guests to choose the option that best fits their comfort level and budget. Our concept is simple: honest accommodations, warm energy, and excellent price–quality balance.
What We Are (and What We Are Not)
Casa Delfin is a guest house, not a hotel.
That means:
• We are a small, independent, family-run property
• There is no 24/7 hotel reception
• Rooms do not have air conditioning (we use ceiling fans and natural island breeze)
• Breakfast is not included
What we do offer:
• Private bathrooms with shower and complimentary toiletries
• Wardrobe space
• Bed linen and towels included
• Free WiFi throughout the property
• Private check-in and check-out
PLEASE BE NOTED:
ROOMS ARE NOT GUARANTEED, SO WE MAY CHANGE AND INFORM YOU.
Our open design allows for natural ventilation and a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere. It’s a simple, comfortable and well-located stay — ideal for travelers who appreciate authenticity over luxury.
Who We Are Perfect For
We welcome guests who are:
• Flexible and open-minded
• Easygoing and respectful
• Looking for good energy and a relaxed environment
• Interested in a local experience rather than a resort stay
If you’re searching for full-service hotel luxury with air conditioning and breakfast buffets, we may not be the right match.
If you value location, charm, privacy, and fair pricing — Casa Delfin will feel like home. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

- Nadia (6/5): Si può migliorare - Carina e accogliente Manca acqua calda in doccia

- Jussi (8/5): - Cute guesthouse close to beach and restaurants. Good shower and a fan. Dogs and cats around the place give it a nice homely feeling. No reseption. You don't really see any staff around.

- Zivkovic (8/5): - Location is wonderful We had a problem in the toilet, the toilet salt tank did not work, and they didn’t solve that while we were there
- Merissa (8/5): - Clean, beautiful, great location. Mini fridge in the room was helpful. The woman who manages the guests is friendly and helpful The shower head was falling apart. The owners seem to not care to do even the smallest things to improve things and simply say *you get what you pay for".
- Zanon (1/5): - Non colazione.posizione buona Tutto da cambiare…
- Marta (10/5): - Pokój czysty i przestronny. Wszędzie blisko, zaraz obok sklep, restauracja i plaża.
- Milazzo (6/5): - Personale Niente in particolare
- popescu (1/5): - Pozitia Accesul lipsa apă (lipsă curent) fără implicare staff

- Markus (9/5): Eines der besten Preis/Leistung - Hotels am Strand - Top Lage, gleich am Strand, Colmado und Supermarkt in 1 Minute zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer sind Unikate, mit Deko, Handtücher, Kleiderhaken, WCPapier, Ventilator. A/C nicht notwendig. Nette Hunde und Katzen beim Hotel. In der Nacht ultra leise, kein Gebell, sondern Stille. Einfacher Check in. Absolut Empfehlenswert Keine Seife

- Anonymous (8/5): very recommended due to the location, lovely team -
- Assil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (4/5): Excellent location, dirty room - The location is very good. 50 meters to the beach and 500 m to the city center. The room was very dirty and run-down. Only the bed sheets were clean, but the room had not been cleaned before our arrival and probably not been used for a while. All furniture including the beds is old and in a bad condition, also in the bathroom.
- Maria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gaga (9/5): Superb -
- Rocio (10/5): I would definitely stay there again. - Very nice place, close to the beach, friendly host. The refrigerator didn’t work.
- Rocio (8/5): Wonderful staff, great energy, 1-2 day stay recommended - Great energy, wonderful staff The smell of the water
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Piero (6/5): Pleasant - Position The water was bad smelling
I had to use water from supermarket to take a shower
- Michelle (7/5): Good location, and cute place with no frills - Location was great, and we had the top room, which was cute. It was very warm when we were there, and there is no air conditioning (there is a fan), so we had to keep all the windows open, which then resulted in me getting eaten by bugs. There is a net, but I didnt realize I needed to use it until it was too late-- so this is a on me. But we ended up leaving a day early as a result of the combo.
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely room next to the beach in a quiet street.
The room was cleaned daily. A little fridge in the room was great for drinks/food you can enjoy also upstairs on the terrace. Free drinking water 24/7, neraby shops/restaurants. Loved the vibe and colours in the house (and some furry friends too)
- Sean (7/5): great spot near the best beach for sunset, close to town by foot, at an affordable price - close to the beach, safe, good price / value motorcycles loud on street at night
- Oliwia (7/5): Good - Cheap place to stay, but for 1/2 nights
Free parking close by There are no windows in room and it’s very noisy from street.
There was a lot of ants in bathroom and then spreading to room as well.
It’s was quite hot inside even with fan on
- František (9/5): Superb -
- Izann (10/5): Perfect - Room is clean, cutie, colorfull and cozy. There is fridge also. There is not hot wather and not drink wather.
- František (9/5): Superb -
- František (9/5): Superb -
- Bayde (7/5): Good -
- Esther (7/5): Great location - Nicely located. Close to everything but far from the noise. Good value for the price
Big plus for the mosquito net over the bed! Little issue with tiny ants and quite messy communication with the staff. The room was also quite tiny.
- Iveta (6/5): It was good value for the money. - The owner was super responsive and although we came late than expected, everything was well arranged and prepared. The roof of the building (i was on the second floor) is made of sheet metal and it’s almost impossible to sleep due to some staff constantly falling on it or when there is rain.
- Darko (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. A very cosy place. Great location.
- Vikesh (8/5): Overall good for budget travelers - Very close to the beach. A bit far from restaurants.
- Emre (10/5): Great price - For its price, it’s a very good hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. To reach the hotel and the coastal road, you need to pass through a place called “Whale Road,” which doesn’t appear on navigation systems. This road is unpaved and quite difficult to traverse. We lost a lot of time trying to find this route. The coordinates to get here are: (19.3067760, -69.5551600).
- Jiska (7/5): Good - Spacious, close to the beach - though you have to walk a bit to get to enjoyable part, since nearest beach (Terrenas beach) is full of boats, friendly host - who allowed to use her kitchen for baby needs. No mosquito nets, very noisy (traffic passing in the little street the hotel is on), no simple kitchen facilities, no warm water.
- Wellens (8/5): Very good -
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joris (8/5): Close to the sea - The location was great, close to Playa Las Ballenas which is an excellent beach to swim and relax. The Chilean restaurant downstairs is amazing, some really great dishes, especially the ceviche and empanadas. It can get véry noisy in the morning and throughout the day, with trucks, construction vehicles and the ubiquitous revved motorcycles going through the street. The room doesn't have A/C, so it can get hot.
- Eli (7/5): Good - I had a great stay! The staff was very responsive and accommodating, and the place was clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent, close to the beach and the vibrant party scene. I also appreciated the late checkout they offered, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Value for money. The bathroom was probably the smallest I've ever seen, and I think a larger person might find it difficult to fit comfortably. Additionally, there was no soundproofing, and being close to the street meant I was woken up by noise – it felt like a motorcycle was passing right through my room, even though I was on the second floor. Also, there are only stairs, so you'll need to carry your bags up yourself.
- Erik (9/5): Superb - Decent place to stay especially if youre on a budget and want a private room. The room is good, bed is comfy and it has a fan. Location is quite central. There are some shops nearby as well
- Audrey (8/5): Very good -
- Leo (7/5): Good - Location, staff. It should be a couple of sign saying “no speakers aloud “ just to the people don’t play loud music because is a small place and it could bother the other people staying at the hotel.
- Iñigo (7/5): Decent and simple - Very isolated from noise No soap no electricity all of a sudden at night
- Radim (7/5): Good -
- Rebekah (10/5): Beautiful building. Beautiful location. Would recommend to everyone! - The property is beautiful. It is well kept and the paint is beautiful colours. The rooms are well laid out, with a mini fridge (super helpful with such warm weather!). Beds are comfortable, and there are lots of nice places to chill, like the rooftop terrace and reading nook. It is also less than a minute from the beach. The host is very kind and helpful. One of my favourite stays!!
- Francisco (10/5): Kimberley was so nice and humble - Kimberley is the best. Everything was good
- Voltz (8/5): My stay in La Casa Delfin was very nice, the room is perfect for one or even two people, only the bathroom is a bit smal - It was well located. The building is very cute with lot of colours and the rooftop is very nice.
- Hernandez (8/5): Comfortable for a low-cost trip. - We liked the proximity to the beach and the comfort of the bed. The only awkward thing was the place to park the vehicle.
- Daga (10/5): Wonderful peaceful place - I liked everything because this place is lovely. Its not perfect, its more rustic and local but if you like it, its perfect. Literally 200m to the ocean, you hear the waves at night, i had whole top floor for myself, terrace, balcony, huge bed, Mezzanine, sea view, hot water. Very quiet at night.
Defo will go back Nothing.
- Julia (7/5): Good - Was really cozy, quiet, and the location was better than I expected. Honestly no complains.
Every thing was unique, the natural breeze was amazing. O
- Eduardo (8/5): Relaxing - Location was awesome, near everything is at walking distance.
- Jérôme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alejandra (7/5): Good -
- Lydia (10/5): Exceptional - Best bang for you buck!
- Martine (10/5): Exceptional - Really cosy place close to the beach and city. Loved staying there a few days
- Rafaela (8/5): Good value - Very good location!
Good wifi, free water and comfortable!
Carla is lovely and helpful! The toilet is too small but nothing bad at all.
- El (6/5): affordable but a bit small - Hi,
It was the very good between cost / quality. It was very affordable, of course it was not a 5 stars hotel but it did the job. The only thing is there is no AC and during nighttime it was pretty hot. I asked for one more ventilator, it did help a bit but it was still a bit hot during nighttime. Staff was alright. a little bit small and no AC but it was written in the description. If you wanna visit Las Terrenas but you don' t have a lot of money, that is def the most affordable you can find there. The price in the other hotels were expensive but this guest house will be a good option for backpackers and low cost tourist.
- Spring (4/5): Disappointing -
- Basilio (10/5): Lovely hostel - Quiet, close to the beach's close to the gym, amazing staff
- Camila (8/5): Very good -
