- Jerome (10/5): - Tuwanek hotel has gorgeous views from the top floor rooms and is incredibly romantic at sunset. Stayed in the Casablanca room and the massive room has a king bed, full body shower and claw foot tub. The hotel also allows you to use their Kayaks & paddle boards on the water in their backyard. This place has a very unique setup for their hot tub underneath a bunch of grape vines that add such a cool atmosphere while enjoying the tub. There's also a steam cave, bbq, smoker, multiple areas to relax and a firepit. Highly recommend staying here for your anniversary or romantic getaway.

- Mariya (10/5): - This place is an absolute dream. If you're interested in a cozy atmosphere not far away from town, this is it. You found it. We stayed at the sunset Beach suite, which gave you access to their game room. It has a mini fridge, a bar, a pool table, and a home theater room. It is well stocked with board games, fishing gear, as well as a couple of guitars should you be inclined to play. If you're the outdoors type, there are numerous hikes you can embark on not very far away. There's a private access to the beach. The water socks, kayaks, canoes, life jackets, are all within reach for you to use. Give it a chance, and you'll likely be planning your next trip here as soon as you arrive.

- Michelle (10/5): - Loved everything about this place! Beautiful and quiet, it had everything I could have asked for as a solo traveler. I stayed in the Casablanca room. The bed was so comfortable! The clawfoot bathtub was such a treat, and the shower was lovely too. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into every part of this room. The little touches they provide like chocolates, bath salts, robes, water filters, etc. really make you feel pampered. The whole vibe is soothing. I spent a lot of time on the patio deck taking in the gorgeous view and just listening to the sounds of nature. I also spent time walking on the beach. It was exactly what I needed for a mental reset. I would love to come back and I hope to do so soon.

- Darren (10/5): Loved it! - Amazing spot for couples. Three places to stay there. We had sunset room. Really nice room and you get use of the game room and media room. Hot tub is shared with other guests as well as the steam room but there would only ever be 6 people there at a time. So it’s a problem. The beach is amazing!!! Plus free use of kayaks and canoes. Water shoes life jackets provide too. There is an option to have breakfast made for you but besides that you would have to bbq n wood oven everything outside. Highly recommend to stay here as a couple.
- Shannon (10/5): - An easy drive up the Inlet from Sechelt, hidden at the end of a country road and right on the beach we found this beautifully decorated Guest House. We visited in the Spring and had rather wet and gloomy weather, but our room was cozy and spacious and we could have enjoyed a wood burner situated in the corner of the room. The kitchen area was well supplied with a Keurig machine, microwave, electric kettle, sink and frig and a cupboard full of any dish you might need. The bed was super comfortable and there were beautifully upholstered armchairs for TV viewing. It would be even better in warmer weather as the outdoor balcony/verandah had a bar-type sitting area as well as a small table and chairs for morning coffee. The bathroom was immense … double sinks … clawfoot tub and huge shower stall, with fleecy bathrobes available. The grounds are neat and interesting with boardwalks leading to a covered gazebo, firepit area and hot tub. There are three uniquely themed guest suites, two of which are up an outdoor set of stairs and the third on ground level if mobility is an issue. The views West across the Sechelt Inlet are stunning … wonderful viewing for sunsets. Our host, Adrian, was most welcoming and accommodating and ready to share the history of the premises. Truly a peaceful, quiet place to unwind and enjoy water views and natural beauty.

Room was big with awesome shower and claw foot tub. The view from the deck was stunning. Hot tub and steam were awesome. Spa cabin on the property. They made us an amazing Dutch pancake filled with fruit. Small hideaway close to Sechelt. Was wonderful from start to finish.

Several perfect outdoor lounge areas to relax and watch the sunset and sea life. Including a covered balcony with a bar in a perfect location to have your morning coffee in the fresh air while watching the sun rise. I cant imagine anyone finishing a trip here without wanting to immediately plan another stay.

I warmly reccomend to try the massage and spa - it was excellent.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful, but gave us plenty of privacy. The Hôtel more than exceeded those prayers! A comfortable, elegant spot beautifully nestled into a quiet small coastal community. Amazing views from our African Queen suite deck, enjoyed the ambiance of beautiful natural gardens and landscape as well as a cleanly maintained hot tub, cold plunge (on the rocks!) and sauna. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed with a GREAT shower and claw foot tub. Super comfy king bed, great linens and so much peace and quiet. Bonus was the delicious breakfast which we added as an option which was delivered each morning piping hot and fresh. We will be recommending Tuwanek to many friends for a great getaway option!

The ‘African Queen’ room was spacious with all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed our breakfast and morning coffee out on the deck watching the seals play. We especially loved the use of kayaks on property to explore the area. We did a few hikes and loved the ‘hidden grove’ trails recommended by the owner, Donna. Donna and Adrian were the most gracious hosts. They made our stay so pleasant and even went out of their way to show us how to dig for clams. We will definitely be back to enjoy this special place in the near future. Many guests we met on property had been coming back for many years and we understand why. Thank-you for a fantastic getaway. - Andreas (10/5): - We spent three very relaxing days in this property. The hotel has only three rooms and therefore is quiet. Direct beach access with all the equipment provided for a fun Canadian experience like kayaking, snorkelling, swimming, standup paddling etc. the host is welcoming, the rooms big with balcony. The bathroom is spacious with great shower and bathtub. The room has a coffee maker, fridge, cups, glasses, plates and silverware. We enjoyed this hotel a lot and can it highly recommend.

They spent time to introduce us the town let us know some nice hiking trials and Adrian made delicious breakfast delivered to the room for us every morning! The hotel has its own access to beach with free access to like kayak, SUP, Canoe with life jackets and lots things to do during the stay there . Highly recommend! - Leandra (9/5): A very relaxing and tranquil weekend away out of the city. - Very comfortable, relaxing, zen. The bed was like a cloud. Amazing view from the room and a quiet tranquil location. A little far from any restaurants/cafes. To go out for dinner need to drive 15 minutes out and it’s a dark windy road at night. Part of the experience is that it’s secluded so we get that. Breakfast was good but pretty pricey for what it was.

So nice ! The quiet surroundings were a welcome reprieve from our busy city life . Great view with a beach and nicely landscaped property with seating areas here and there to enjoy the view or just relax or read a book along with a barbecue area and a zen gazebo . Kayaking , canoeing and peddle boating with gear all included as well as an outside hot tub and steam cave . Also , spa facilities on site for a fee and near a park with walking trails . Very accommodating and thoughtful hosts ! Lighthouse Pub with a great patio and view of the inlet 10 minutes away as well as the town of Sechelt .

We only met Adrian but he was a great host and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. We can thoroughly recommend the breakfasts , we had to take a pic of them each morning as they were a sight to behold and delicious too . Nothing it’s perfect !

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect spot for a quiet, romantic New Year’s getaway. The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot, right on the beach. Our room (Sunset Beach Suite) was spotless and tastefully decorated. Donna and Adrian were superb hosts, tending to our every need and many questions, made dinner reservations for us, booked our massages, provided us with information on local walks, and cooked the most wonderful breakfasts. Due to the season we were not able to utilize many of the amenities (kayaks, paddle boards) offered, but thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, steam room and games room. We’ll be back!
- Christopher (10/5): - What a pleasant surprise, when I booked the hotel had no idea it was more of a bed and breakfast. Donna was such an excellent host and made me feel at home. On one of the morning even pre-made me a care package of food that I could take with me since I had an early morning one day. Would stay there again! Looking forward to my next visit :)
- Tracey (10/5): We could not ask for more..... - From the first moment we stepped on to the property until we checked out after 2 fabulous nights, we wanted for nothing. Donna and Adrian have an exceptional property located directly on shallow water with amazing views. The rooms are well thought out and very comfortable. The games room on the lower level has a private movie room, games galore and tasty snacks included. The hot tub is conveniently located beside the sauna, which makes for a nice pit stop before heading back to the suite. Although there are no restaurants close by, there are a couple of great restaurants that deliver....I would highly recommend the Butter Chicken Pizza from Saffron and their desserts are worth the calories. The breakfast were hands down, two of the best we have ever had. Donna serves it in two courses on fine china, in the comfort of your room. There is even plug in parking for your EV! We will definitely return.

- Mary (10/5): A wonderful quiet spot - Tuwanek Hotel is a beautiful spot for a getaway. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean, and spacious. Our hosts Chris and Krista were super helpful and ensured our every need was met. Although the hotel was fully booked, we had complete privacy and were able to enjoy the hot tub, steam room, the BBQ, the movie room, and best of all our own private patio.
- Elena (10/5): Incredible - Tuwanek Hotel is a truly amazing place with incredible views over the sea, luxurious rooms with absolutely everything you may need during your stay, wonderful hospitality and a very tasty homemade breakfast (we had to ask the owners for a secret recipe!). I enjoyed every minute of our stay, would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and hope to come back to this little piece of heaven!
- Ann (8/5): House rental - Although this was listed as a hotel, we rented Timberloft Cottage which was a detached house some way from the main hotel. It was simply a house rental as no meals or maid service were provided. The house was listed as two bedrooms but the second bedroom (which we had to pay extra to use) was just a divided portion of the living room - so occupants could hear everything from the living room. Also there was too much light in the bedroom as there were no curtains for the windows in the roof or for the the light coming from the living room. The living room was nice as was the hot tub outside. There was a large garden and plenty of parking space.
