- dula2026 (2/5): Worse hotel in Krabi, Thailand - Worse hotel ever in Krabi, Thailand. I've booked and paid for my stay but the hotel was saying no booking, so I decided to call Agoda, turn on the speaker in front of them, the Agoda staff said the booking was confirmed! I have all proofs Bank transaction, confirmation number but still wouldn't let us stay. They're not going to be responsible for whatsoever. This incident happened at night so I had to go looking for a hotel during the high season which is pretty hard to find and all prices are high. Honestly it was a very terrible experience.
- Boris (4/5): Stay away!!! - STAY AWAY if you can!!! Everything started good in the beginning. After few days toilet started warming once in a while (didn't flush every time and takes about 40 minutes to fill the tank). Complained few times but unfortunately sabai sabai😊. No cleaning whatsoever, you have to go to reception and ask for toilet paper and fresh towels. The room is full of mildew and when told the reception the answer was it's ok. By the end of our stay we had to fill toilet water tank with the small water hose to flush. Last night was the punch line. Told the receptionist that toilet doesn't flush again and no water is filling the tank. They send a woman with a toilet plunger, who gave me a plunger and left. She told us that guy will come to fix the water in 20 minutes but guess what happened? I had to plunge it myself, no one came to fix the water and somehow all water stopped including shower and sink. Had to check out and go to the airport dirty but the owner and receptionist was extremely polite when taking our money upon check out. When told the owner about all the problems, he smiled, said ok and asked me where are we going. Is that important to where we are heading? To make it short, the place is good if you don't care about anything, used to living in the jungle without simple amenities. Otherwise there is a great place almost across the street we found with great food, pleasant owners and looks very clean compared to extremely bare minimum we encountered for over two weeks.
- Yolanda Puig (8/5): - Estuvimos a finales de julio y es temporada baja. Todo muy tranquilo. A veces estabamos solos en la playa. Estuvimos 3 dias y no te hacen la limpieza del bungalow. Igual si lo pides te vienen, pero no nos qiedó claro. Pero los exteriores si que lo barrian de hojas todos los dias. Personal servicial, pero sin brillar por su simpatía. La playa preciosa pero la podrian limpiar de plasticos que trae la marea o que deja la gente, de vez en cuando. Cuidado con tirar papel al WC porque se nos atascó el primer 2 veces pero lo arreglaron enseguida. No lo indica en ningun sitio q no tires papel, el recepcionista se molestó porque no lo tenemos normalizado. Debes de llevar comida porque cierran cocina a las 17h. El primer dia tuvimos q salir a comprar a 2 Km. Y les alquilamos una moto(3€). Parece q tienen un chofer q te lleva donde quieras gratis durante el dia. Pero me lo tuvo q decir una huesped. En general bien, pero no te informan de nada y debes de ir preguntando todo.

We discover flavors we never ate before, the best typical dishes with the best sea view you can expect ! She cooks like she welcomes people: with all her heart ♥️ Rooms are simples and perfectly clean, just like we expect. A lost paradise !
- L2315NJlaurae (10/5): The best place to stay in Thailand - I first went to Pine Bungalow 30 years ago and not much has changed. The same family own it and it is run with the same love and care that defined it the first time I stayed there. What has improved is the quality of the bungalows, they are clean and comfortable, though not grand. The grounds and beach are well maintained and there is generally a lovely vibe. The food is the best you'll eat in Thailand with lots of variety. What really makes this place however is the staff, Nim gets a special mention but they are really all lovely people. I miss it already and I only left two days ago! Can't wait to return. Laura
- jefft370 (10/5): Lovely old school Thai beach resort. - 20 minutes out from Ao nang,500baht cab ride.Beautiful beachfront set up.Basic but clean chalet type bungalows,felt safe but security is not that great,however,hospitality,helpfulness and the food is second to none!.We would have liked to have stayed longer but had a wedding to get to, so had only two nights here.Lovely people,very very helpful plus some of the best food to be eaten in the area.

I feel compelled to write a review as over the four years everything about Pine bungalows has remained consistent, including the staff. The staff are always lovely and hospitable, and the food exceptional...this place never disappoints. Rooms are also nice and clean, and surrounded by nature. It really is a slice of paradise here. ❤️✨

- Ahum53 (10/5): Rating is for restaurant as we didn’t stay there.... - The 2 or 3 ladies in the kitchen really know what they are doing. This may have been the most flavourful food we have had since arriving in Thailand 2 weeks ago. We had a salad with crispy tofu and cucumbers, delicious...you can choose which type of noodles you want for your noodle dishes and the pad Thai was fab. We sent some friends who live locally there with visiting parents and they loved it as well. The menu is extensive and veggie meals are available.
- kimichaurasia (10/5): Private beach and peaceful - I stayed in December in beachfront bungalow. private beach with peaceful surroundings, beachfront restaurant with good Thai food in reasonable price. Bungalow however is rather small but looking at the private beach in front , hammock and beach chairs facing beautiful sea is no one would want to stay in room. This place is in klong muang , almost 20 min drive from Ao nang (main hub of Krabi) and does not have anything around it to do or go for but they also provide scooter at very low rent or can arrange taxi for you. So if you are looking for peaceful beach vacation , best option for you.
- AJAYK801 (10/5): Nice quiet place with wonderful food and staff - The hotel has small quaint cottages many of them facing the beach from which one can go into the sea in a matter of seconds. The locality is very quiet and almost rural. The staff are very friendly and the food had variety and was really tasty. The beach in front of the cottages was clean and almost like a private beach. Only drawback was the water pressure in the bathroom and the door sealing could have been better.
- aslanlucy (8/5): Very nice, almost private beach get away. - Neat and tidy AC bungalows on the beach. The food was delicious, and inexpensive. The resort is out of the nearest town by a mile and out of Ao Nang by 7-10 miles, so you will need to be comfortable either hanging out on the beach or renting a vehicle or paying 300 Baht for a Taxi Truck to get to town. We did all of the above and really liked our days of walking up and down our almost private stretch of beach. The beach itself has almost no other bungalows on it so its quiet private. The beach sand has a lot of coral and shells in it- so while it is not "sugar sand" you are likely to find something interesting. There was some debris washing up every morning. In the water there are rock formations that are underwater during high tide and exposed during low tide. We found some interesting fish in these. The kids enjoyed seeing hermit crabs each night on the beach. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We would definitely come back.
- martin_dewhurst (8/5): Getaway - Amazing place, arrived at night under the cover of darkness after 2 nights (2 long ) in Bangkok. Woke up 15 mtrs from white sandy beach and crystal clear ocean. Hammocks hanging from palm trees beautiful sunshine. Great food prepared fresh. Transfer driver was a complete gentleman and staff at pine bungalows were very helpful. This place was exactly what I needed to unwind from work/life chaos. Will return in the future for sure.

- 888travel (8/5): Basic, no frills accommodation in nice location - We had a great time here - the resort is very laid back and away from all the action, so you’re pretty much confined to it. Beach was nice with great sunsets. However, there were a lot of jellyfish. Room was dated and a bit skanky but was fine to sleep in. Not enough water pressure to wash your hair though. Food was nice but expensive: dinner and breakfast for 4 cost over 2000 THB and we ate very simply. Overall, a nice cheap place to stay if you want to be totally away from crowds and civilisation. They organised a songthaew for us to get us back to Aonang.

I loved that our bungalow had a lil outdoor cat that would stand guard for us haha! A fantastic, low traffic beach (though we went in feb/march aka low season but its perfect weather) that has plenty of restaurants about 10-15 mins walk away.... make sure you eat at the place with the catfish, the chef wears a sombrero on the main road! thanks for the lovely stay, the great drivers and staff, and the most relaxing place we have been!
- DarwinP007 (10/5): Great bungalow right on the beach - Stayed 4 nights at Pine Bungalow in a beach front bungalow which was right on the beach. Stunning private beach with great views. The bungalow was great. Didn't have a mini bar but otherwise perfect. The restaurant offers a large menu and everything i tried was delicious. Very reasonable prices as well. The staff and service was excellent and helped me book transport and ferry tickets without any problems. The location is good even without transport can walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!
- julilisboa (10/5): Peaceful private beach - Traveling around Thailand my husband and I met another couple who recommend us this hotel. We changed our vacation schedule a little bit, showed up there and got ourselves a room. What a find! It’s simple but very cozy, lost in Khlong Muang, with what could be considered its private beach. Good prices for peaceful surroundings. Food was great. We stayed as long as we could! If I had heard about this place before I wouldn’t even bother coming to Ao Nang.
- 882geoffp (8/5): Good for us... - Very family friendly resort (kids 8,11,13). Restaurant is the best value around Khlong Muang beach with a good variety of Thai and Euro food. Staff are very pleasant and happy to have you there. The bungalows are metres from the beach and relatively clean. Our kids enjoyed playing with all of the pet cats that live on site. The beachfront is not spectacular, but good enough for swimming and beach combing. More than anything, this place is quiet! Stay for a few days and then keep exploring.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed at Pine Bungalow for eight nights and it could not have been better. The bungalow was clean and bright, the washroom had everything we needed. We had bungalow nr. 16 and is was super close to the beach. It was quiet and fun to sit in front in the evenin. Food was amazing and staff was super helpful and friendly. We booked all our trip privately with Pine Bungalow and were not disappointed once. We could have stayed easily for another week. Go if you can and if you look for a relaxing and quiet holiday.
- PetrJ435 (10/5): Best kept secret, hopefully stays that way. - I have recently stayed with my wife in Pine Bungalow for a week. It is obviously not a 5-star place and I was also not looking for one. But it turned out to be a 5-star experience. It ticked all the boxes and some more. - no disturbing TV in the room or restaurant or anywhere else - checked - LOTS of greenery - checked - bungalow->beach distance less under 20 seconds - checked - clean quiet private beach with beautiful sunsets - checked - super clean room with firm mattress, fan and hot shower - large sitting area complete with table and lazy chairs in front of the bungalow I could go on and on with my praises. The food in their restaurant is not only reasonably priced but it's one of the best I have ever had in Thailand. The food menu is multi-page extensive saga which usually puts me down as I believe it's better to do few things well than many things average or below. However as we were intentionally trying different dishes every day, I was being proven wrong every single time as no matter what we ordered, it was just delicious! Ingredients are super fresh, apparently the owner goes to market every early morning to hand pick the veggies, fruits and meat. In fact their (Thai) food is TOO good that we ended up eating more than needed :-) All stuff that we have met are really nice and working hard to make everyone's stay comfortable. Any 'complaints'? Well, WiFi signal in (our) bungalow was anywhere between weak to non-existent. It was working well enough just outside of the bungalow but at night mosquitos eat you alive unless you are well protected. Oh, and refrigerator in the room would be a nice-to-have. Overall, one gorgeous friendly place (especially at the price point) with a mix of families, young travelers, retirees, cats, dogs and kids somewhat seem to co-exist in harmony enjoying this piece of paradise.

- Anne (8/5): Un coin tranquille et très charmant - L'extérieur de l'hôtel est charmant, très arboré, tranquille, au milieu des arbres et des fleurs et au bord d'une belle plage (mer très caillouteuse à marée basse et pas de sable fin). C'est un endroit fabuleux si vous aimer la tranquillité. L'hôtel est isolé. Le personnel est très avenant. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits nous avons du changer de chambre, et le confort était rudimentaire. Chaque chambre possède une petite terrasse avec des fauteuils.

Our room had an ant infestation, cockroaches and few other bugs that I cannot identify. Spider webs all over the place and extremely springy uncomfortable bed! - Verified traveler (8/5): Relaxing and bare minimal lodging - The food here was beyond amazing. Single greatest thing.The beach is literally just feet away from your room. If you don't like camping or bare minimal housing, then this isn't the place for you. The rooms are small, somewhat dirty and contain nothing but a bed. However, we loved it. It was relaxing and just what we thought. We stayed here two nights before moving onto an actual resort in Krabi. The service here was excellent and I would gladly go back.
- Nick (10/5): Perfect getaway on the beach - We arrived later in the evening and the manager came out to greet us and help us with our bags. The kitchen had closed by the time we arrived yet he said we could still order anything off the menu and they would make it for us. The room is small but has everything you need. The bed was hard but most Thai beds are we've found. There is no mini fridge but with the kitchen on site there is no need for one. We spent most of our days lounging on the private beach or in the hammocks, but the staff recommended a few tours they would set up if we liked. As Pine Bungalows is quite a ways out of the way it has everything a person needs right there. The kitchen is well priced with large portions, laundry is available on site, and they will clean your room daily if asked. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to remember each guest and their preferences. We didn't like papaya so they gave us extra pineapple every day instead.

- Ana (8/5): Would stay again - The room is wide,the bed was huge and confi, we really needed AC and it saved the holiday. Clean and with everything we needed. Quite area not far from busy places. Lovely pool area where you can relax.Worthed for the money.

- Niki (8/5): A lovely place to stay for the price . . . - Stayed here for 5 nights in December 2015. The accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate for the price. The room was clean. Free Wi-Fi was available. The rooms did not have air con but a fan was provided. Our bungalow was only 10 meters approx. from the beautiful beach which was practically deserted most days so perfect for peace and quiet and relaxation. Pine Bungalows are in a quiet location, the village is about 1 km away, there were a few restaurants and bars there and a supermarket but didn't appear to be much for tourists. Food was good and cheap and the restaurant area had a nice relaxed feel to it. The staff at Pine Bungalows were charming and very helpful. We were able to book an all day trip on a long tail boat which picked us up from the beach and provided a picnic lunch and was a good price. There were other trips available to book. I wasn't sure what to expect for such a cheap price but Pine Bungalows are lovely (although basic) and I really enjoyed staying there.

- Nicky (10/5): Location? - The best thing about Pine Bungalow, location. The worst? Location. Pine Bungalow is a 20 minute Tuk Tuk ride north of the busy Ao Nang strip. The resort is the only commercial enterprise on the beach. So, if you want a quiet, relaxing time with plenty of naps in a seaside hammock, this is the place for you. If you want to stroll along a busy street, shopping and bar hopping, everyday, stay away. That said, it is quite secluded. There is no mini mart within walking distance at which to buy your favourite snack or more sun screen. Come prepared. The food at the restaurant is beyond delicious and the prices are reasonable. The prawns really do melt in your mouth. Generous portions overall and an abundance of vegetables and fruit. The staff are marvellous and very helpful. I loved my time at the Pine Bungalow and highly recommend it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful location - Right on the beach with excellent swimming except at low tide, this is a super spot to chill out. The other great plusses are the excellent food and wonderful staff. It was a pleasure to stay at Pine Bungalow, some rooms are a bit dated but you don't want or need to be in the room during the day anyway. Would most definitely return.
