Guest Reviews
- Timi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ayeza (7/5): Good -
- Kha (2/5): - This review is based on my 3 day stay. I know this place does not get thoroughly cleaned because there were dust bunnies covering the whole room! The cleaning lady comes every day but only makes your bed and moves your belongings around … the 3rd floor bathroom began flooding on my last day. 2nd floor bathroom has a broken toilet! Why won’t they just screw the lid back on??? Just absolutely disgusting. First and last experience with a hostel.
- Maddox (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ismael (1/5): This isn’t the best spot for your stay in Venice - Nothing! I have several complaints about my experience at this hotel:
1. The staff is neither friendly nor kind.
2. After your reservation is confirmed, you receive messages indicating that you can check in only until 10:00 PM. After this time, a 15-euro check-in fee is applied for each additional hour.
3. The steps inside the building are very old and tremendously narrow, and there is no lighting at night, which poses a serious risk of injury.
4. My room was extremely hot.
5. I had mosquitoes in my room, which made it difficult for me to sleep.
6. My room was located near a shared bathroom, and it was often accompanied by many uncomfortable noises.
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Snehal (2/5): Very poor - Location is perfect but if you are looking for quiet and clean hotel then this is not the right choice cleanliness, loud
- Moises (8/5): - Una atención de 10 :)
- Amir (9/5): Superb -
- Ronnie (10/5): - It was good, nice people working there and excellent location.
- Awara (2/5): - Nasty, no restroom, shared bathroom, power went out, no front desk to report.
AVOID
- Webb (7/5): Short stay, happy with what I paid for, didn’t expect anything more or less. - Exceptional location in the heart of Venice. Bedroom was big enough for two, with a sink and basin, windows, blinds and a comfortable bed. Bathroom hygiene was a little poor. Due to it being shared with other guests, it was difficult to use the communal facilities due to such high demand. Noisy at night time with foot traffic.
- Kira (8/5): Well situated, cosy b&b in Venice. - The location of this property for the price is amazing!! You can walk everywhere and are close to many shops and restaurants. The hosts were very kind. The room had older furniture but was clean and comfortable regardless.
- Bibiana (7/5): Good - Very good location, halfway between Rialto and Academia bridges, also at a comfortable walking distance from the train station. It's ok if you are on a budget, just beware of the absence of elevators. It's also a gamble when it comes to noise so say a prayer that your neighbors aren't a family with five small children. Otherwise it is fine if you have low expectations and plan to stay in your room only to take a shower and sleep.
- Sharma (8/5): Very good - Location
- Frédéric (6/5): - Avec un peu de moyen la note pourrait être améliorée.
- Haider (10/5): Exceptional - I like it totally especially cleaning I like totally
- Giles (7/5): Very small, but comfortable and at a good price - A very small and basic single room, but quiet and with a comfortable bed, with a view over Venetian rooftops. In a pleasant area of Venice, near Ca Foscari University. There is no wifi in the rooms in this hotel, apparently it is only available on the ground floor. Staircase is sometimes poorly lit (the light is on a timer).
- まりな (5/5): Passable -
- Marie (8/5): Great stay in Venice - Good location, spacious and clean room. Easy check-in. Working wifi. With the shared bathroom/toilet, the sink in the room is really helpful. Relatively quiet. Tap water doesn't taste good. (but this could be a city thing, not specific to this accommodation)
- Ahmed (9/5): It was good, not excellent or mad but in the middle - Very central, comfortable bed, good for a few nights stay No elevator, building feels old. I’m not sure if it was mine but I believe there was hair on my bedsheets.
- Lilia (5/5): Passable -
- Sawako (5/5): Not the worst, but won't stay again, sorry. - Location was nice, it had many restaurants nearby and the building was interesting. Walking distance from the center. The room had very thin/crooked doors and we could hear everything going on in the other rooms. Some American teenagers were very loud in their room like it was some dorm house, so we wanted to ask the front desk to ask them to quiet down, but nobody of the hotel was available, or even pick up the phone when we called from the room phone.
No toilet or shower in the room, so sharing that space was quite uncomfortable. It was a nice location, but I can't really recommend the place to my friends and family...
- Kirit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luis Miguel (4/5): Mediocre alojamiento - Bastante desastroso. La escalera de acceso a la habitación era muy empinada, la habitación no la limpiaron en los 7 días de estancia. El baño estaba sucio y la ducha. con pelos
- Eliška (7/5): clean and fine stay. really good price for the quality - It was clean and people gere were really nice we had room with our toilet but the bathroom on the floor was behind our head so we couldn’t sleep well
- Гофман (10/5): we liked everything, including a sufficient number of sockets for charging gadgets and fast wi-fi on - The hotel turned out to be an extremely pleasant and atmospheric place. It is located very close to the bus stop that goes from the airport to the city, as well as near the city center. The hotel is located in the Old Town building but the rooms are very clean and tidy with authentic furnishings, very warm and beautiful. Overall, my friends and I are extremely grateful to the owners and staff of the hotel for our pleasant stay. we liked everything, including a sufficient number of sockets for charging gadgets and fast wi-fi on the first floor
- Oleksiy (9/5): True vintage experience - A small vintage hotel in the heart of Venice perfectly located for exploring the city on foot. Our room had a nice view and it was warm enough at night in winter. For Venice I think it's good value. The facilities are old, but they work. If you don't expect too much you can have a pleasant stay here for a couple of nights.
- Endri (9/5): Superb -
- Simone (6/5): Pleasant - The price
The location
- Aris (8/5): Budget hotel in Venice! - Last minute booking in this small and clean hotel. Very good location to spend a night or a weekend. The room was spacious and clean. For the price paid, I have no complaint!
- Dionysia (8/5): Very good -
- Chaudhary (5/5): Passable -
- Daya (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dunja (9/5): Superb - Great location, nice staff
- Jakub (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amir (7/5): Good -
- Enrico (5/5): Passable - Really great osition and price . A single room 55 there it's a bargain Old, cheap forniture, bed highly uncomfortable.
Not dirty but really bad mantained
The surcharge for checkin after 22.00 of 15eur or midnight 25eur is simply ridicolus
- Anyuta (7/5): Local hotel in the center of Venice - It is a small hotel in the center of Venice, hosted by (I presume) locals. I find it important to support local economy, especially in a city like Venice where tourists can easily outnumber the locals. The old mattresses are very uncomfortable. I don’t think I slept well for one night.
- Rasa (9/5): Superb - The Hotel is in a very good location to reach main city attractions. It was not clearly marked form the outside, so it was a little bit difficult to find it.
- Manuchekhr (4/5): Disappointing -
- Romelia (8/5): Very good -
- Whitney (10/5): - Great spot in an area with better food that the main canal
- Maria (2/5): Uncomfortable -
- Sachiyo (6/5): - 夜寒かった。
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Great!! - Great vintage feel. Like staying with your Italian grandma. Everything was basic and functional and private. Very easy check-in/check-out. Would recommend! Bed was very hard
- Ana (8/5): - Nice place it’s worth the price, the manager very kind
- Meryem (7/5): Good -
- Turkmen (7/5): Good -
- Dan (9/5): A simple and good value option for exploring the city. - This is a traditional "pension" style hotel in Venice. It is basic, but good value given the cost of more modern style hotels in the city or nearby. If you want all mod cons, stay outside the city in the faceless chain hotels across the water. The old building has very steep stairs, possibly not ideal for those over-sized suitcases many travellers bring (what do they really need from all that stuff?), and perhaps better suited to backpacks. The place is comfortable and clean. Shared bathrooms are well maintained. Liquid hand soap is provided in the WCs. WiFi only on the ground floor. Good restaurants etc nearby. 15 minutes walk from the train station. Nothing
- Joanne (10/5): - I've got no complaints, I only stayed one night, it was clean and I slept like a baby
- Corentin (6/5): - Budget friendly stay, and good enough for 3 nights.
The hotel has a good location with many restaurants/bars around. About 15min walk from the train station and 30min walk to Piazza San Marco. The owner and staff are nice and speak english. The room was good, big enough, with private toilettes and shower.
The doors of the shower could be replaced though.
There were toilettes and shower just outside our room, for the other guests. We could hear sometimes the door opening and closing but it was not disturbing.
- tiffany (6/5): - This property has a good location and that made it easy to get around Venice and felt like a safe area. It was adequate for a few nights stay in Venice where we weren't in our hotel for very long each day. The front desk does have limited hours but overall was sufficient. The rooms need upgrading and the lamps didn't work. Overall I wouldn't recommend this or stay here again but it was sufficient for our stay. We didn't need anything fancy and it was a decent price (still overpriced for what it was) but overall it was fine and I felt safe being there.
- Tomáš (8/5): Very good - Hotel in a great locality.
Stylish, typical for the old town of Venezia. Old furnishing and bathroom facilities.
- José (2/5): Very poor - No It not was clean
- Peter (5/5): Passable -
- Urtė (7/5): Good -
- Alessia (8/5): Very good -
- Allister (8/5): - Good for the price
- Jean-philippe (7/5): Great location, convenient and worth the money - Great location. Convenient and good value for the money. Easy check-in and room comfortable. No AC and a little noisy from the streets with also mosquitoes entering the room. Unfortunately the common bathroom is sometimes left dirty by other guests.
- Jean-philippe (7/5): Convenient and money worth - Great location. Convenient. Easy check-in. Good value for the money. A little noisy on the streets at night. No AC and mosquitoes entering the room. The common bathroom is sometimes left dirty by other guests unfortunately.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - Not attached Bath
- Anna (8/5): Good location and personal - Helpful personal , always gave us the needed information. Good location. No air conditioning in the room and it was too hot . Only the fan but it didn’t help. No elevator the second floor was like a fifth, stairs were high and lot . No wifi in the rooms only in ground floor.
- Carolina (1/5): Bad -
- Marcos (4/5): - There is not Air conditioner, too much hot in summer, almost unbearable. Very old furniture. Bathroom in poor conditions. Toilet cover was broken. Bathtube door was broken too.
- Pushpak (9/5): Superb -
- Hannah (7/5): Would stay again - Amazing location, shared bathroom and our bedroom always clean, everything you need inside the room. There is a fan in the room which helped with the heat. The bedroom smelled of some kind of essential oil which was annoying
- Krum (8/5): Top place for the location and price! - Very clean, perfect location (center of Venice), polite and cooperative staff, really nice people, cleaning the room every day, changing towels and sheets as well on a daily basis. Clean and well maintained shared bathroom. I would visit the place again, it is perfect for the price and i recommend. It was really really hot in the room even at night, the room does not have air conditioning and it was very hot. There was a fan, which was some option but not enough.
- Danijel (6/5): Pleasant - Excellent location, great price/value. The room was incredibly hot in July, even quite hotter than the outside, and there is no air conditioning. There are narrow and steep steps to reach the higher floors, can be dangerous to walk, especially with luggage. The bedroom and bathroom are very small.
- Seyedehfaranak (1/5): It was terrible 😞 - Hi. It was terrible. The room seemed to is not clean. Also the toilet and bathroom were shared with other rooms and there were so dirty.🤢 There was just a little shampoo and soap . No charge of them Bathroom super dirty.
The bed sheets
- SERGIO (8/5): - È una struttura semplice, sicuramente vecchia, che è anche il suo fascino, ma ben
gestita.
- Kharytonchyk (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean with comfortable beds, nice view and close to the city center. Additional payment for leaving the luggage after check-out (€2 till 5pm; €10 till 5-9pm), inconvenient staircase, no cutlery. When we came back, the door to our room was open but luckily everything was in place.
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ada (4/5): I do not recommend - it looks like an old retirement home. ugly and old decor. few bathrooms, no air conditioning it looks like an old retirement home. ugly and old decor. few bathrooms, no air conditioning
- Bennie (10/5): - Close to dining, easy to find. Very nice staff.
- Ivy (9/5): Superb -
- Foteini (7/5): We would definitely stay there again - Great location next to Campo Santa Margherita, quiet, comfortable and homy room, clean facilities, kind and helpful staff
- Abner (8/5): Very good -
- Ratzberger (7/5): Good - location is great, bed is comfortable
Room was clean extra fees for late check in and a 10€ fee for depositing luggate
a shared toilett and bathroom with multiple rooms
- Olivia (6/5): Alright - Great location, especially if you won’t spend much time at the hotel No working plug sockets in the room, no WiFi at all and dusty and old rooms.
- Arezoo (6/5): - expensive
- Muratkrkgc (8/5): Very good - The location was nice. We reached everywhere by walking.
The rooms were clean. The building was old. The rooms were a little damp. But this is not related to the hotel. As far as I can see, all hotels in Venice are old, because there are no new buildings.
- Hillary (9/5): Superb -
- Zaiah (8/5): Very good -
- Miguens (5/5): short, - Location was good and cheap price. Difficult to recognize the hotel, like it does not a sign.
The rest was fine like compared to other prices in venice is cheap, can’t complain, did the job. Could be nicer but still, not bad.
- Skylar (10/5): - Nice and was in a good location!
- Tyler (6/5): - An old hotel that could do with some maintenance and repairs, but it was fairly clean. Very inconvenient power outlet locations in the room as well.
- Kalieva (7/5): Good -
- LIOR (8/5): - Great location - walkable to all attractions. Friendly staff. The room was clean, with a private bathroom. It's a basic hotel and room. No elevator. There were a few items in the room with loose screws (chair seat, toilet seat, shower pole), which can be dangerous - my finger got caught under the chair seat. Suggest to make these simple fixes.
- George (9/5): Excellent! Would definitely come again but just would like a little more reasonable price - Close to night life, 20min walk to basilica, store bags at hotel for fee during day when not staying another night no wifi, outlets too far from bed, locks and doors very loud for when trying to be quiet at night or mornings
- Cuervo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Daniela (7/5): Good -
- Silja Maria (8/5): - Very convenient location. The owners were kind and friendly. If you’re sensitive to mold/mildew, this might not be a place for you. My friend had allergic reaction to mildew. There is a fire station near by and when they exit the fire station, there is a loud announcement. It can happen early in the morning (5:30 etc.), too, so if you are a light sleeper like me, you might wake up.
- Ashok (5/5): not recommended - close to center everything
- Alejandro (6/5): Pleasant - Location, OK price (for Venice), fairly comfortable, decent room size. Furniture in the room very old, clunky drawers/doors, bad paint job on the walls and crown molding, the bed is not the most comfortable although not terrible, the lock didn't have batteries, I pointed this out but no batteries were offered and had to ask for the lock key and use that.
It's a good budget hotel but if it was a bit more taken care of, with small updates on furniture, proper paint, better mattresses, locks with batteries that work normally, or putting new ones if the customer points out that batteries don't work... the experience would be much better.
6/10
- Jared (8/5): Very comfortable and great after spending days walking around the city. - It felt very rustic and authentic, nice facilities and location to all things in the city.
- Enrique (7/5): Good -
