• Astrid (8/5): Appartement, met uitstekende ligging. Fijn, de supermarkt om de hoek. Tip: Ga lekker vis in folie eten bij salomons - Prima ligging , op korte afstand van een heerlijk strand en goed startpunt voor excursies. Het geheel was wat gedateerd en er zat een en ander los. ( kraan, wc-pot)
• Jan (7/5): - Mooie tropische tuin met klein zwembad. Alles keurig schoon en gezellige zitjes. Horeca erg duur, gewoon Nederlandse prijzen. Appartementen prima maar hotelkamers liggen aan de kant van de zeer drukke hoofdweg. Matige wifi.
• Van Der Burg (9/5): Zoals gezegd: voortreffelijk!! - Alles perfect op orde, dagelijkse schoonmaak, veilig en supermarkt om de hoek, voortreffelijk allemaal. Geen op of aanmerkingen.
• Bill (6/5): - Close to very good restaurant and supermarket No coffee or tea. I understand the apartments are self catering but for the price one would expect coffee and tea for the morning. Was somewhat overpriced considering the terrace overlooked a busy road.

• Ahmed (10/5): Best place to stay - I frequently visit the Gambia and usually stay in a kombo beach hotel. I never knew about the RIYAN APARTMENT. This time I decided to stay in this lovely apartment and frankly speaking I will always stay here whenever I visit the Gambia. The owner Paul is very friendly, helpful and honest. The staff starting from the security to the domestic workers are all very helpful. Whatever I say about this Gem 💎 words isn't enough. The apartment has anything you need from kitchen accessories to TV , which has Netflix and you tube and lots of channels. Very close to all the tourist areas and a supermarket at hand.

• Anna_wa (8/5): Central location, spacious and clean - Very spacious apartments in a great location. A few minutes walk to one of the best beaches in Gambia, as well as next door to a well-stocked supermarket. Right on the highway which means its very easy getting transport anywhere. Even thou the very central location its still very quiet. Clean and comfy. Well equipped kitchen. And the luxury of having your own washing machine! The stair leading to the second floor is a bit steep and might be an issue for anybody with a mobility issue. I would have liked a shower curtain in the bathroom, to avoid getting the whole bathroom wet when having a shower.

• Jennifer (9/5): Excellent apartment...the garden round the pool area is beautifully kept. It is a hidden gem. - A hidden gem!...Location is excellent. Taxis and tuktuks always available. The pool area is lovely. The restaurant caters for all tastes...the Benechim is great and drinks are reasonable. Try the Wonjo. The staff team are attentive, helpful and very friendly....really nice folks. Receptionist and security around 24/7. The apartment is and feels safe. I will definitely stay there again!! Oh the washing machine in the spacious bathroom- nice touch. Kitchen, frontroom and bedroom spacious too. Balcony out front with table and chairs and clothes drier! The supermarket (Maroun) next door was handy, stocking fresh bread and eggs and a variety of local drinks like ginger, wonjo and baobab made by a local lady...amazing!! A 5 minute walk and you're on the beach, which was beautiful. Lots of great places to eat. Check out Mass (humble and respectful)...his restaurant/ bar is right opposite the police checkpoint on Palma Rima Road. The prawn fried rice is to die for and the red snapper is cooked to perfection. Fresh food! The lady chefs ( on fire) and waitresses are amazing! Just needed a wooden spoon in the kitchen drawer! Lol.
• Andrew (8/5): A sanctuary away from the heat, dust and bustle. - Great courtyard with plants and trees keeps the temp down and creates a cool atmosphere. Pool is also a bonus, it's well maintained. Good WiFi. Backup generator kicks in quickly if the power goes out.

Also nice and cozy garden with swimming pool. The WiFi was very slow and constantly disconnecting.

• Hassan (10/5): Amazing Trip - I am very happy to stay Riyan apartment. Staff is very cooperative and their services are amazing. Next time i would love to stay there Internet Connect was not good at all. We had to buy data on Mobile which cost us more.

Booking.com didn’t tell them of my booking and ETA and arriving at 4.30am I was lucky they have an empty room. The cancellation was not reflected and I had to pay €37 . For what ? It is cheaper if booked directly at arrival like I did.

• Nora (10/5): Home of the Bride. - I felt welcome, safe and well taken care of in an African heritage ambience catering specifically to African diaspora and friends of Africa guests. Cordial and polite interactions with staff and fellow guests, alike. My surprisingly spacious economy rate apartment was highly functional and tastefully furnished: A comfortable home away from home. Maroon Supermarket next door carries all of your familiar supplies from brown bread to Pine Sol and much more. Three minutes walk to the beach for a swim in the morning or entertainment at night. Refreshing pool surrounded by charming pergola apartments. When you don't feel like cooking, the adjacent restaurant will surely satisfy your palate. Overall, highly recomended! Inimbara, Abaraka bake, Imokende baa :) Ongoing road construction works caused a little disruption for a couple of days. However, infra structure improvements are commendable and the road will be finished soon.

Rendezvous restaurant within the property a good place to have meals with live music. The area was dusty due to road works but cleaning is a 5⭐️

Lots of opportunities for maintenance improvement, however we did not al - Location, well equipped apartments, washing machine etc. Apartments and communal areas are cleaned each day and well kept. Maintenance issues which should have been addressed before the holiday season started. Room 7 is dark and dingy and needs a total refurbishment. Really should not be offered to guests. Happily we were moved The curtains do not fit the windows and make the rooms dark. Investment in better curtains would make a vast difference. There a loads of local tailors that could benefit from an order
• Darren (4/5): It was a joke - They didn’t have my booking I was put in a different room than booked my fridge wasn’t on so it smelt and the air con wasn’t working and no drinking water or anything else in the room no cold water for one day

• Zoe (9/5): Highly recommended for short or long-term stays - Riyan Apartments is a lovely place to stay. I spent four weeks there whilst working in the Gambia - Riyan was an oasis to return to at the end of each day. My apartment had everything I needed - it was spacious, clean and very comfortable (and the smartTV was a great bonus). The standout feature of the apartments was the lovely pool area, which I made full use of! The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. The supermarket and bar/restaurant next door were very convenient too. Thank you Fatima, Paul and Becky for a lovely stay :) Nothing to dislike about the apartments, although whilst I was there, there were major roadworks on the road outside, which caused some dust and noise during the day. However, the roadworks are only temporary and certainly wouldn’t put me off returning to stay there in the future.
• Jon (10/5): Best location, friendly helpful staff, cozy, quiet, beautiful room pool/garden view - Having stayed at several properties in both Senegal and Gambia for 3 weeks (two which were 'luxury'), I can only say Riyan Apartments was my favorite overall: great quality-price ratio, extremely friendly, flexible and helpful staff and I will surely stay there next time I go to Gambia as well as recommend it to friends and family (I already have!). It had a 'Melrose Place' feel to it, the 90's TV series. The bedroom A/C worked perfectly which was a true lifesaver at night. Thanks so much to Fatima and all the team! My only suggestion would be to have darker thicker curtains as I was awaken by the light around 7am despite having a sleeping mask. And perhaps also having a mob in-place so we can clean the bathroom after taking showers given the lack of shower curtains. I was provided with extra towels though which was highly appreciated. Small details compared to real issues I experienced elsewhere in Gambia and Senegal.

• Inga-Britt (10/5): Bra läge, fin innergård, trevlig personal - Besökte Gambia för första gången och var något orolig innan men allt fungerade över förväntan efter trängseln och kaoset i ankomsthallen. Gjorde längre utflykter med bra turisttaxi och kortare turer med vanliga taxi av skiftande kvalitet och trivsel. Fina stränder men ganska stora vågor. Med barn känns det säkrast i poolen men stränderna är långa och härliga att promenera på i strandkanten. Man behövde inte känna sig rädd, alla människor var trevliga. Tröttsammast är shopping pga prutningskulturen. Stora vägar asfalterade och fina blandade med rena sandvägar där bilar fastnade i sanden.
