• Barbara (7/5): Nice Kasbah but not very cozy - The room was very nice and spacious There was a bit of a smell in the room. There was no bottled water in the room. It was quite cold everywhere and not very cozy. Lights were not turned on everywhere, fires in fire places were not lit. Only one person spoke English/French.
• octavp (10/5): A classy lodging option with great service - It sits in a very serene location amid forests and hilly parks a bit outside the town of Demnate. Good air, silence, soothing views. The kasbah seems a success story in terms of restoring an authentic piece of history. You feel you stay in a special, beautiful place. The room is big enough with huge windows (good black out curtains!), decent storage space, nice furniture and a fantastic bed. The bathroom is very nicely and traditionally decorated, with direct ventilation via a window, with all the comfort creatures required, including decent toiletries. Good shower. Minifridge in the room. The breakfast was good, it was your average, typical moroccan breakfast in terms of variety but the quality seemed a bit above average. So, good enough. Parking in the inside yard for motorcycles. Not covered but secure. The young lady at the reception was the best host i came accross in my moroccan tour. Always happy, with a smile on the face, always happy to help, smart and efficient. Kudos! If you read this, I did a wonderful motorcycle tour of the area thanks to your advice and suggestions regarding routes and points of interest. Maintenance and cleaning needs a bit more attention. None of the two nightstand lamps were working (missing or burnt out bulbs) while the tall lamp next to the TV flickered constantly probably due to a faulty wiring contact. Also, found a used towel hanging on the inside of the bathroom door, probably from the guests before me.

Ceny dość wysokie, zarówno za nocleg jak i za kolację, ale trzeba przyznać, ze była przepyszna. Na miejscu dostępny jest bezpłatny parking oraz basen (nie był wyczyszczony, ale podczas naszego pobytu akurat pogoda nie sprzyjała kąpielom) Recepcja kręciła nosem na płatność kartą, ale ostatecznie się zgodzili

• Martin-on-a-Journey (7/5): - nice building, view, furniture, and interior; it is not far from the dinosaur footprints more expensive compared to other similar hotels (+25%), it was a bit cold in the room as it had no heating, the pool was dirty (still in winter sleep i guess), breakfast/dinner room was not comfy, hotel must have been a jewell in the the past - it feels / looks like if the person who put his/her heart into establishing this hotel isn’t there anymore

• Kerstin (8/5): Schön gestaltete Unterkunft mit herausragendem Abendessen. - Das Kasbah Illy ist besonders schön gestaltet, wie eine richtige kleine Burg mit viel Liebe zum Detail, insbesondere toller Deckengestaltung, Leuchtern und gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten. Das landestypische Abendessen war herausragend. Wir waren hier Ende März und empfanden es im Gebäude als recht kalt.

• Kaspars (9/5): Stay in the castle with city view! - I was not aware of what kasbah really was therefore at first I had a feeling that place is too dark for me, like medieval castle. Then I learned that kasbah stands for palace/castle and indeed - it looks like one as well. It's really traditional and location was uphill with a city view. It also had pool, but during my trip to Morocco I restrained to use them as I was not sure of water quality anywhere. Otherwise it was nice place to stay. Breakfast was nice, also I choose dinner and got what I wanted. I was satisfied with my stay. Maybe a bit too dark for me. Picture in my head of Morocco is bright and light colors, but that's really subjective. Sound isolation could be better, but this is typical to almost any establishment in Morocco. Also it's several km from city if that matters.

• Taha Said (1/5): Sehr traurig und unangenehm - Die Kasbah an sich ist in Ordnung, aber der Besitzer ist ein Geldsack und hat mit Tourismus und Herzlichkeit der Marokkaner absolut nicht zu tun. Der Hotelbesitzer ist leider für seine Unfreundlichkeit und Unprofessionalität in der gesamten Region bekannt, aber wir hatten leider bis zum letzten Monat keine andere Möglichkeit(en) für unsere Gäste zum Übernachten. Jetzt zum Glück hat ein neues Lokal aufgemacht von Menschen, die sich mit Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit sehr gut auskennen. Und dort werden unsere zukünftigen Gäste Ihre Marokko Erlebnisse mit uns sehr genießen können.

Unbedingt empfehlenswert. - Kasbah Illy ist in vielerlei Hinsicht beeindruckend: die wunderbare Lage über der Stadt mit entsprechendem Panorama, die außergewöhnliche Architektur, die einnehmende Ausstattung des Hauses insgesamt als auch der Zimmer und vieles mehr. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und in jeder Lage hilfsbereit. Abendessen und Frühstück waren sehr gut. Ein Frühstück am Pool mit Blick auf die Stadt war selbstverständlich. Wir haben nichts zu beanstanden.

• Anas (4/5): not worth its value - Staff were nice. Design of the hotel were nice. Unprofessional approach to running the hotel. Lack of communication whether online or in person. They ask for way too extra money when you want to pay for your stay. Making an excuse that if you pay by card they need to pay taxes. So if you book here expect you will be paying for way more than the value its showing online. Not worth even half of the money I paid for it. The shower did not even had curtains. And it was a see through to people that are outside.

• Alexander (10/5): Traumhafte Anlage - Der Aufenthalt war perfekt. Das Haus bietet unglaublich viel Platz. Es ist eine wunderschöne Anlage mit einem schönen Garten und einem Swimmingpool. Außerdem gibt es eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Das gesamte Haus, der Garten, der Pool, alles ist extrem sauber und lädt zum verweilen ein. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen in der unterkunft ist phantastisch und kann guten Gewissens gebucht werden. Die Lage lädt für Ausflüge in das 1,5h entfernte Azilal oder in 2 verschiedene Richtungen tief ins Hohe Atlasgebirge ein. Also bietet sich das Haus auch durchaus für einen längeren Aufenthalt an. Selten waren wir so traurig das wir bereits abreisen mussten. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens und von Herzen empfehlen.

No weak points… The wi-fi could be better inside the rooms, but I understand that the walls of the Kasbah make it hard to have internet connection everywhere. No issues… The wi-fi has worked well near the reception/at the ground floor.

• Nikolas (4/5): Charming hotel past its prim - This hotel has a lot of charm, but it clearly shows signs of decline. The hammam was out of order and the pool wasn’t filled, which was disappointing. On the bright side, we were warmly welcomed, had a delicious dinner, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. It’s a shame, as this place has so much potential and could offer much more with a bit of attention and maintenance.

• Sean (10/5): Exceptional - Pretty impressive exterior right ? Wait until you see the interior ..It's stunning. Breathtakingly beautiful.. I stood there in Awe trying to take it all in. There's so much orrnate detail and it's vast. Beautiful darkwoid doorways , rustuc tiles, antique Berber artefacts everywhere , stained glass above the beautiful wraparound balcony casting pools of rich dappled light onto walls . There's a marble fountain with an incredible chandelier above it and above that agsin , a 200 year old ceiling that was specially put in by the owner Sa^id. It's Epic. He's an absolute gentleman . Real easy going. He'll make sure everything is perfect for you. I'm traveling by motorbike and he rang the mechanic down the town and arranged for me to get the chain cleaned and oiled. That saved me a lotta hassle. Dinner is whatever you want...just tell them. And it's excellent. The room i had was superb. Perfect double bed,, best bedlinen and covers I've had and plenty of them. Pillowcases had a freshly washed fragrance. So much attention to detail. You could spend a day just looking around the design in this place. Outdoor area has an elevated part with a panoramic view of villages in the valley. And there's a big pool. The 3 ladies working there are brilliant. You gotta see this place. Stay here., It's the best. Sean from Ireland
