- Manuel (10/5): Very relaxing, romantic spot. Perfect location to experience Salina. - Beautiful view of the island and the sea with Stomboli and Panarea in the distance. Quiet, relaxing, clean, perfect location. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to the beautiful Scario beach and the quant town of Malfa The terrace where breakfast is served is situated right beside a bedroom and the private terrace of that room, the lack of privacy can feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Also hotel is very close to restaurants, bars and cute shops in the center of the town . Breakfast which served on the terrace was excellent. We spent 4 nights there and wished to stay longer.
- Lesley (8/5): A beautiful island stay - The breakfast was good and beautifully served on the terrace over looking the ocean. We were upgraded to a better room which was nice as it turned out only 1 other guest was staying at the property as it was only a few days to the season closing on the island. The views were beautiful with a terrace with deck chairs outside our room. There were delicious home made goodies available all day in the reception/breakfast area On our last day there ie the day before we left - the whole place was basically dismantled. Goodies removed from the kitchen, chairs, tables and lovely curtains all taken away so the whole place became bleak and unwelcoming. This was done because it was the last day of the season the following day & we were leaving early ie at 5.45 am. It was not good as it completely spoiled our last day in the property. I am not sure why they couldn't have waited until 6.00 am the following day to do it all so we could enjoy everything we had paid for up to that point.

Avevamo un passeggino ed è stato faticoso portarlo su e giù dalle scale che collegano la strada alla camera.

From pre-trip planning to on-site assistance (taxi service, recommendations, etc.,) her attention to detail and the care she and her staff showed us was exceptional. The property itself is simply gorgeous and we will not soon forget the incredible opportunity to watch Stromboli's nighttime activity from our window. These information were delicate services that no hotel had The accommodation has a terrace with a burst ocean view, so we can see Panarea and Stromboli. Our room is very clean as a suit room, and furniture and bedding are arranged making the most of the space. As soon as we arrived, the owner was served a self baked cake and coffee, and we received meticulous service. With her help, we were able to use a rental car to visit the nearby Pollara. We were also able to enjoy a wealth of breakfast, including homemade bread and fresh juice. I want to rate it as the best accommodation for this trip. Once again, we would like to thank Giuliana, the owner of the accommodation.

She greeted me with a cup of coffee and answered all my questions about the Aeolians and was there if i needed anything else. I booked the deluxe room and it was clean, light, airy and incredibly comfortable. The views from the room--and from the terraces--were a dream. Not to mention eating breakfast over looking the Med with Stromboli rising on the horizon. Breakfast consisted of breads, home made jams and pastries, meats, cheeses, etc.I had a wonderful stay and will be coming back. Highly recommended!

- Neil (10/5): Fantastic - The property is beautiful, very clean and the room is very modern but with a wonderful traditional touch. We stayed in a room which opened onto the shared terrance which has absolutely stunning views, where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. There is also a lower terrace next to the breakfast area with lots of seating and can be enjoyed by all. The room has many windows and was great to wake up to stunning views in the morning. The room has a mini bar which is restocked daily which was great also. Breakfast was very nice and served on the lower terrance which was a fantastic way to start your day. Location wise, the property is within 5 minutes walk to the Spaiggia cello Scario beach and around 10 to the town centre of Malfa. You can also easily walk to the small port, which is handy is you are doing a day boat trip to the other other islands as some of the tour companies do stop her. Overall I would highly recommend. - Bradley (10/5): - What a hidden gem and pleasant surprise this place turned out to be. The staff went above and beyond for guest needs, offering to book excursions, and dinner reservations. This property has great views of the marina (currently under construction as of this review) and is just far enough off the main pedestrian street that you have some additional privacy. It is clean and new. The breakfast selection was delicious. When I return to Malfa I will be staying here again. I did have one of the upstairs rooms with a shared balcony. Simply excellent.

- Rose (10/5): Excellent stay - Everything! the host - super easy to communicate with, organized a taxi for us for our ferries and gave us a discount on her family-run restaurant in Malfa which was delicious! The rooms were a great size, cleaned every day (including topping up the minibar). The location - 2 mins to Malfa square and 4 mins to closest beach (all walking). We were also recommended by the host a Salina boat trip which was 30 euro per person for a 3 hour trip around the island including stop offs for beautiful swims. Breakfast was also fabulous. Will hopefully be back again!! Nothing 😊

- Don (10/5): Excellent place, town, and island! - A Alera is a very modern and clean facility which is located in the beautiful town of Malfa and has an incredible views from both the public spaces and, in our case, our room. Breakfasts are excellent. Staff bent over backwards to not only make our stay excellent, but to share personal stories and thoughts that really made us feel at home. Whenever we asked about activities, car rentals, details about traveling on the island they were really helpful. Additionally there are some really fun restaurants within walking distance (including one which featured the very best meal we got in our two weeks in Sicily). If you have a chance, a visit to the local vineyard (which was arranged by A Alera), is a blast! Thanks to all for the great time we had!

- Malcolm (10/5): Wonderful B&B in a magical setting. - We can't imagine how this could be any better! Juliana and her associate Alysia were exceptionally welcoming. The facility is in a stunning location overlooking the water, and the rooms very comfortable. The island is truly special. Not a thing.

In particular the owner is so lovely, she was so friendly and accommodating. Maybe slightly more available for breakfast, to be fair, we came down close to the end of the breakfast slot but unfortunately most things had run out, it was disappointing because it so delicious.

- Urszula (9/5): Amazing view - The view was absolutely gorgeous. The hosts thought about everything when it comes to what the room was equipped with. Good breakfast with a stunning view as well. Highly recommended! The walls are indeed too thin, and you can hear the neighbours.
- Mary (10/5): Wonderful boutique stay in Malfa, Salina! - We stayed in the Junior Suite at A Alera which gave us some nice extra space and a beautiful view. We loved this small property and Giuliana, the owner, went above and beyond helping us with ferry and taxi transportation, and information about the island. The rooms were created out of their family home and such thoughtful touches: mini bar, robes, great shower, welcome gift, great hair dryer, drying rack for beach clothes, towels, etc. The place was immaculate and our daily room housekeeping lovely. It's a short walk to our favorite Salina beach, Scario, and a nice walk to town for dinner, catching the bus, etc. The uphill helped us work off all the pizza and pasta we ate. :-) They had some nice outdoor seating areas for guests, the breakfast was good with lots of fruit, pastries and typical Italian morning food and cappuccinos. Highly recommend, especially the Junior Suite.
