- Aleksandar (2/5): - Everything is terrible
- Mark (8/5): - No frills

- Mark (8/5): - Easy to find
Cozy but comfortable
Clean
Good a/c and fan
Cheap
- Pradeep (6/5): - The house keeping is doing nothing , They just change the towel only for 7 days stay that’s all ……for this they charge me HK$ 480 .Make me disappointed.
- Shuji (2/5): - It is an accommodation environment that does not exist in Japan. It's a scary environment.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice 👌
- Jeffrey (4/5): - Very hard to find, no signage small cramped rooms
- Tm (8/5): - Basically it is clean although the building is very busy with all nations. It is safe to stay and with budget travellers. Recommended.
- Ka Wah (8/5): - Very good place
- Peter (8/5): Cebu or not Cebu, that is the question. - A pleasant stay, though not at the hotel booked (i.e. Cebu Hotel) but instead at one of the company's sister hotels just a few minutes away. Not a problem and the place is better than expected.
- Anna Carmela (8/5): Very Good - This is a Guest House not a hotel. Over all impression very good. Mr. Roy is very accomodating but unfortunately there is a foul smell came inside the comfort room and they are not checking whether the bath soap or shampoo is going to be no more. It’s good to stay in the hotel just to sleep only.
- Silika (2/5): Cheated - Pathetic when I got there I was moved to a hostel. The hotel itself is on the top floor where the lift does not reach. You have to climb stairs to get there and once I got there I was told to go down two other floors which was a hostel. I felt cheated or was it wrong advertising on the hotel part. Didn't want to go to a hostel that's why I booked for a hotel room. I can't even post my pictures.
- Verified traveler (4/5): -
- Hisham (8/5): Unexpectedly Tidy Property for its Rating - The property is conveniently located. Almost all cultural landmarks and attractions are within several minutes_walk. Best of all, MTR stations (Tsim Cha Tsui and East Tsim Cha Tsui) are both within 1-minute. Bus routes stop right in front of the building.
Kevin, the house keeper, is a great guy who is so helpful and does an extraordinary job in making the property spotlessly clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 2nd time in HK, 2nd time in Chungking - On our first night, half of our group were cheked in on a different hostel while the other stayed in Cebu Hotel. It was inconvenient for us because we had to move again to Cebu Hotel the next day for the rest of our stay. The hotel was kept clean always and secured. No direct access to the elevator since the place was located at the 17th floor while the elevator is only up to the 16th floor. On thing that made the stay great was Chungking Mansions accessibility to the malls, MTR, and Bus.
- Gavin (8/5): - Cheap, clean, convenient. No complaints
- Verified traveler (2/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They named it a hotel but it is an hostel. Very misleading advertising on the wotif
- JimmyF (6/5): - Location was ideal in Kowloon just around corner from MRT. Fascinating entrance to hotel that allows you to show off how patient and humorous you are. Plenty of money exchanges on ground floor as well as a variety of ‘indoor’ street food stalls. I was pleased to say I actually lost a wee bit of weight thanks to the latter. A word of warning to those elderly folk thinking of booking this hotel: lift only goes to 16th floor and you have to walk up to 17th carrying suitcase. You also need a bit of home plumbing experience to flush and fill the toilet cistern, but luckily, in my case, the cistern lid was missing and shower head was handy to assist me. Also don’t do as I did and leave the toilet paper in the bathroom as you’ll end up with a soggy mess as it’s effectively a wet room. But despite all that it was value for money.during the 7s rugby weekend.
- PJHPRO (6/5): - the room is quite broad. this place located in Chung king mansion.
but ONE PROBLEM. it has only one elevator up to access this guest house. of course, you can use steps if you have strong arms and a powerful leg. climb up to 17F.
- turlough (10/5): Great Value Great Location - very Practical , for the basic necessities , cost effective .
- Sejr (8/5): - Nice small place with a good location with a subway close by
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- Po-Chi (6/5): It's ok. - My room was in a different tower of the building than the check-in desk, so it's a bit complicated to get there, and not the easiest thing if you have luggages.
The room was clean enough though and the towels were changed daily. The location of the the hotel is in the middle of Kowloon which was very convenient.
The only negative thing was the additional 10% cleaning fee that I had to pay. I didn't expect that. Maybe I have missed it in the fine print while booking online, but they could have mentioned it in a more obvious way on the website.
- Bee (4/5): Why charge cleaning costs - this is not air bnb - Not great . Won’t come again
- Kin San (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good for the price you pay. Room is better than the ground floor let's imagine. Good for backpackers just needing somewhere to put luggages and sleep.
- Juan Antonio (8/5): Calidad y precio.
- Kin San (10/5): - Clean and comfortable, no smell, good location, high cp.
- Ribai (4/5): - Bedsheets really smell bad even the pillows. Dusts can be seen on the windows even the sides.
Room smells bad.
Its itchy when you use the beddings, pillows, and comforter.
Staffs are really really nice and accomodating. They always welcome you with smiles.
- Bo Eirik (8/5): Exciting place hehe - Well if you can ignore little Pakistan market all the way into your room it’s fine place... I was asked every 5 sec for new suit or hash for sale ... They had exciting food for sale ...
- pat (4/5): So so - Nothing to comment about. Had I know about the hotel I wouldn’t have stayed. Misguided by the picture. Entrance , 1st floor noisy , filthy and lot of solicitors.
- Nikka (8/5): Cebu Hotel, Chungking Mansion - not a bad place - I was with my sister on our first trip in HK and we stayed at Hall A of Chungking Mansion under Cebu Hotel on the 17F. It was a bit scary entering the building since there are lots of hawkers for the other hostels in the same building but we were lucky coz we had the elevator near the front and there is a guard at the elevator aiding people in the line. You can also see the CCTV monitor for both elevators so everyone at the ground floor can see. The elevator is only up to the 16F so you have to take the stairwell which is where all the packed garbage bags are but its just a fast climb. The hotel itself is small with small rooms and bath but it was clean, fresh towels morning and night, warm water plus the best part, 2 locks on the door - doorknob lock and bolt lock so very secure. Hotel door is safe also since no one can get in without the code given by the hotel. I could stay here again if on a budget.
- Kin Chu (6/5):
- Bry and Xerx (6/5): Good location for food and shopping - I was very disappointed when we reached the hotel. The elevator was up to 16th floor only so we have to go by the stairs carrying our suit cases going tot he next level 17th floor.
When we entered the room, I saw a single double bed uncovered, the room was very narrow, he gave us blankets which seem used one.
We were very tired and exhausted from the very delayed flight and long travel from the Hongkong airport to the hotel. But we forced ourselves to slept and hoping the next day would be fine.
I told the hotel guy that the room my mother paid is single room with two beds and luckily he shifted us to a bigger room with two beds.
Other than the unprepared and narrow room upon checking in, after getting few hours of sleep, we searched for the restaurants. In fairness to Cebu Hotel, the location is very good, it's very closed to the restaurants and shopping malls that way helped us save money for the tax, though we did not attempt to go for the tour due to the bad weather non stop raining and we forced to buy umbrellas otherwise we will have bath on the rain.
Though it was a short visit to Hongkong but my brother and I enjoyed the food and the shopping.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent service for such a price - At first I was sceptical of this hotel, since it has a lot of bad commentary, and the price is very low. However, it turned out to be very good, way better than I expected. The staff there is nice, they did brought us to another hotel, but it's under the same company, the design and condition of the rooms are exactly the same. The room is quite small but it has everything you need. E.g., hairdryer, toothbrush, tv etc. The big is bigger than I expected, 2 people can fit comfortably, and still have quite some space left. They have free coffee and tea provided. The security is good also.
If you are looking for some places under a budget, I would strongly recommend this hotel.
- Vincent (10/5): - Both roy and amit are friendly! They know how to get along with their guests. Increase their salary lol.
- Xiaoyu (10/5): Best Budget Hotel in Hong Kong! - Room was clean and newly renovated. Staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous.
- Bhabinder (10/5): - Nice place clean and cosy
- Ryan (6/5): - You get what you pay for
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small, clean room in a very interesting building. - The room was exactly as expected: a single bed with a small bathroom. There wasn't much else, because there literally wasn't space for anything else. It was clean, though.
The building that the Cebu guest house is in is called the ChungKing mansion. It's fairly notorious around HK for being the place to go to get fake watches or a tailor or drugs. The first couple floors house money exchange stands, restaurants, phone accessory stands, and other small shops.
I've never been in a building as energetic or exciting with such a diverse clientele as the ChungKing Mansion. Some might not like that, but I really thought it was fun to see so many cultures and languages interacting with each other. Except for the long waits for the elevator, those weren't fun.
Check in for Cebu Hostel is on the 17th floor of Block A, right near the Nathan street entrance. The elevators only go to the 16th floor, so make sure to take the even number elevator to the 16th floor and then take the stairs. Be prepared to be kind of grossed out in the stairs, because that's where the trash is. When I got to the check in, the man looked me up and then called another man, who was to take me to my room. We went all the way downstairs to the ground floor and then went to Block E, and took the elevator to the 7th floor. This was a different guest house (Sydney Hostel) but the key worked and there didn't seem to be a problem. THe room was clean, quiet, and generally fine.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Kindness only gets you so far - First our room wasn't ready, waited 1 hour, then had to stay in another hotel without a window. Then had to move back the next day to find out our room still wasn't ready, waited another hour until they gave us an upgrade ( on the condition if it got booked we would move out). Hotel staff was always friendly and accommodating however very inconvenient. Rooms and small but clean. Hotel is in a bad location lifts are always slow and people down stairs are always pestering you to buy drugs and fake goods
- Verified traveler (2/5): Absolutley TERRIBLE - It was so terrible I refused to check in and the hotel refused to give me a refund. BEWARE.
- Manny (10/5): Friendly place for one night. - I booked this at 12:30 at night and then arrived an hour later. It was only a short bus ride to don meung airport or train station the next day. People were exceptionally friendly and helpful!
- Rosemarie (10/5): Amazing stayed!! - Great experience, check in was easy, friendly staff, will stay again on next trip.
- Scott (6/5): Convenient location - Room was small as expected. Area is very crowded and frenetic. Lifts are a challenge.
- solomon (2/5): Don't even think about staying at this hotel. - worse hotel ever
- Koon Heong (2/5): - Very bad impression
- Kenneth (8/5): - Budget Room with great access to public transpo
- Maria Corazon (4/5): Meh, just okay - You really have to lower your expectations with Hong Kong guesthouses. But not only is this not serviced by an elevator, when you get in, it's pretty much a mess. The corridor was WAY too small (and I've been to other guesthouses before), the bathroom reeks of dirty mop water, and the beddings don't look that clean. WiFi signal was also weak in our room. They also charge $10 for the adaptor rental.
I guess if you're really on a budget and only staying 1 night with really light luggage (you have to go up the stairs after using the lift on the 16th floor) and you REALLY want a place directly in Tsim Sha Tsui then it's fine.
- David (8/5): Convenient to shopping - The stay was fine and staff were very helpful
- Ehsan (6/5): Excellent location - This room was small and very hard to find the reception I had look for reception for 20 minutes but all other things was great best location
- diane (4/5): - Not much to say about the place..you pay for what you get.
- Uzochi (8/5): Great staff! Clean - The man at the front desk was really nice! The room was very clean and the internet was very reliable. Thanks for everything Jeet!
- ARUN (8/5): - Supporting and friendly staff, but there is not lift, hotel is 17th Floor and lift available till 16th Floor.
- HARPREET (6/5): - Good hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rooms are fine , place with annoying people - For this price it is difficult to find something better . The rooms are clean , not too big but for 1-2 nights , if you don't need to invite guests , you can survive . The building at ground floor and in the surrounding area is full of annoying people who want to sell you many stuffs or services . The management should keep more order .
- Patrick (2/5): Spend extra if you can and get something relaxing - Drunk or high receptionist... walked through garbage to get to the guesthouse. Guesthouse was the size of a hamster cage, but I did go for the cheapest most convenient night stay in all of Hong Kong... The downstairs was full of middle eastern and Indian/Pakistani men trying to sell bags, watches, marijuana... Very over the top...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - no WIFI
horrible neighbourhood
- Piotr (8/5): For the price it's ok, friendly staff - I stay in Cebu Hotel for 4 night. First I was at the beginning I was pleasantly surprised because my room was not ready and receive big familly room with 2 double room. Guys from reception was very helpfull and friendly.
Room was clean with Air Cond, water heater.
Localization - Its located in Chungking Mansion 17th fl, where u need to go up 1 floor since the lift only takes u to 16th floor.
- Low (6/5): - Budget and good for a short stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed. - Very small room. Different from what was shown in the website. Lift is only until 16th floor. Had to walk up through a very smelly stairs. Will not recommend to friends and family.
- Tejinder (10/5): - Cube hotel best hotel in the hongkong
- alan (4/5): This is a hostel not a hotel - This hostel is located within Chungking Mansions. Different to location on the map. It is very new thus you cannot find it even in the mall directory. A makeshift signage that says "Cebu Hotel" is hung on a door at the 17th floor of this Chungking Mansions.
If you are well prepared to be a budget traveller, then this room is ok. Otherwise the place is rather seedy and seems unsafe.
- tess (4/5): - the rooms are good for budget travellers who would just need the room for sleeping and shower. if u have luggages room is very crampy already.
- jatinder (10/5): Excellent hotel - Very nice staff and helpful, provided execllent service what I expected from Cebu , keep doing the great job Cebu , I'll definitely come back here, and one more thing this hotel really near to everything for e.g eating, shopping etc etc.
Cheers
- John (10/5): Budget Hotel - Clean & Tidy rooms, very helpful staff.
Right in the center of the city.
Free Wifi, Coffee/Tea and secured place with 24/7 CCTV surveillance cameras.
- Puffer (8/5): Excellent location on the subway line; right outs - The room is tiny, but considering the price and the location, one can't complain. The staff are great; they are very friendly, helpful, and honest.
