• Frank (8/5): - Prima kamer: schoon en ruim met terras. Ontbijtbuffet is inclusief met ruime keuze. Lunch beschikbaar á la carte, maar diner uitsluitend in buffetvorm. Zwembad was niet onderhouden (groene aanslag op bodem en randen maakten het glad).

Lasciano però a desiderare i servizi quasi inesistenti per i bambini, non è prevista la possibilità di offrire una merenda se non due gelati ovviamente a caro prezzo. Assenza di prodotti freschi in cucina che risulta quindi scadente e di scarsa qualità, non abbiamo mai trovato un pescato fresco pur trovandoci in Sardegna…per quello che si paga offerta decisamente deludente. La gestione dei servizi offerti alla clientela sicuramente da migliorare

• Alessia (6/5): - Nel complesso bella struttura ma per essere un 4 stelle necessità di un pò più di cura e manutenzione nei dettagli delle stanze. Personale gentile e molto disponibile, punto di forza della struttura. Buona la colazione, classica intercontinentale.
• Viviani (10/5): Excelente experiência - O hotel me surpreendeu. É melhor do que eu imaginava pelas avaliações anteriores. Equipe muito cordial, quarto espaçoso, banheiro ótimo, prainha facilmente acessível por uma trilha. E ainda nos ofereceram um espaço para tomar banho, trocar a roupa, mesmo após o checkout. O Porto Rotondo, uma Marina cheia de restaurantes e lojinhas, fica a 5 mim de carro do hotel e é lindo. Local agradável, com gente bonita, muito bom para passear. Tudo me surpreendeu positivamente. O único detalhe que eu posso apontar seria para melhorar os travesseiros, que são finos, mas isso em nada comprometeu minha boa experiência no local. Voltaria sem dúvida. Pena que fiquei só 1 noite.
• Hermann (8/5): Charme à l’italienne. - Hôtel avec le charme italien. Accueil extraordinaire et personnel au top. Le gros plus, c’est le parking souterrain qui permet de mettre la voiture à l’abri de la chaleur. Plage privée exceptionnelle avec une eau à 30 degrés.
• Helen (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and warm. Particular thanks to Alessio who helped us speak to the airport when our bags had been lost and Barbara and Damiano in the restaurant were so lovely and helped us learn some more Italian. The rooms are big, very clean, so cool and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and the food great. Buffet breakfast was fab, as was the buffet dinner. Lunch is a la carte and kind of expensive for lunch but Sardinia is quite expensive, so it’s all relative. There is a path from the hotel to the beach which is beautiful and some sun loungers and parasols reserved for Hotel Marana (you just need tickets from reception) there are some nice beach bars but seem to only open in the day. There is a restaurant open in the evenings, Marinella, which is beautiful but very expensive. We were about to order the lobster tagliatelle which said €35 on the menu, but it was €35 per 100g and weighed 800g so it would have been €280 each for a plate of pasta which is a bit out of budget, ha! The cheapest bottle on the wine list is €70, lovely, but just be aware! The hotel is peaceful and the other guests were all really nice and polite and considerate. Taxis are limited and so expensive. You can walk to Punta Marana to eat but other than that need a taxi or the train from opposite the hotel but they stop at 6.30pm. Visit Porto Rotondo. It’s fabulous.

• Marion (8/5): Très bon séjour - Très bon séjour. L'hôtel est au calme et est reposant. Le Mr qui nous a accuillit était très gentil et c'est efforcé de parler notre langue, merci à lui ! Le repas est sous forme de buffet mais les plats étaient vraiment très bon, y compris le petit déjeuner varié. La chambre était très propre et spacieuse. En revanche, nous avions l'impression de la partager avec nos voisins tellement nous entendions tout, vraiment tout... Le parking est gratuit et dans une cours fermée. L'hôtel fournis des serviettes et un accès direct à la plage la plus proche depuis son enceinte. Mis à part le bruit de nos voisins, tout était parfait.

• Jennie (10/5): Great stay! - Great hotel in Olbia. Friendly staff, nice rooms and views. We only stayed one night but wished we had some more time there. Make sure to book reservation for the hotels restaurant if you want to eat dinner there though.
• Fernanda (10/5): Espetacular - Espetacular para as ferias com a familia, ficamos no andar terreo com uma varanda e vista linda da piscina, que é maravilhosa com agua quente e hidromassagem, a comida é boa e o acesso a pé para a praia é perfeito, tem vaga coberta e fica a 30 minutos de carro de porto servo. Quarto é bem grande e confortável, tem vaga coberta lara os carros. Alem disso o centrinho de porto rotondo também é lindo e com muitos restaurantes.
• Thalia (10/5): - My husband and I came to Hotel Marana for the last night of our honeymoon as we wanted to be somewhere nice and also close to the Olbia airport. It’s an absolutely gorgeous gated property with a beautiful pool and very big room. We were treated very well by front desk staff and though we were only there for one night, we wished we had had longer. The only small things I’ll mention is for those who like pitch black rooms, there was a green light above the door that was flashing and lighting up the room a bit with that so we had to put masks on. As well, the rain shower head needs to be decalcified as it was spraying everywhere but my husband fixed it. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to stay for the breakfast buffet but I saw it looked very nice and they made us to-go boxes!

Only two negatives among plenty of positives. Other than those, amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff. My room 115 was well equipes and with a lovely outdoors space to chillax. Thank you all for a fantastic time.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing pool area - The pool area was amazing. The pool itself was perfect for the kids and us and the sun deck had plenty of space. No need to “reserve” sun beds with your towel, you could always find beds and a good spot. The staff was friendly and they also managed to clean our room while we were having breakfast (positive thing). The only downside was the lack of food for the kids at the dinner buffet. Some pizza slices and plain pasta would have made a big difference for our kids.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice staffs, clean room, private beach! - Thank you for the kind staff despite the late check-in. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious and also clean. The large washbasin was convenient to use, and the terrace was good to chill or drying towels and swimsuits. The dining place for breakfast was beautiful and the swimming pool was great too. The swimming pool has no time limit, so you can swim at night. (There are a lot of bugs floating because of the light though.) There is a beautiful private beach (2 minutes walking distance) that you can use umbrella and beach chairs for free. It was a satisfying and wonderful experience. One thing I didn't love was water. We used shower filter that we brought, and it turned very dark in one day.

The hotel restaurant mainly served fish, wish there were more options for those who don’t eat fish. Free public restrooms on the beach would make it convenient instead of having to go back to the hotel. Beside these “desired improvements “ the hotel was great, very clean and beautiful, spacious rooms. Staff was amazing!
• Marc (6/5): Bad value/money ration - We booked for 2020 and to get a refund was an absolute nightmare (Covid peak!). Anyway, we finally stayed at the hotel in 2021. Rooms are okay, breakfast buffet without any variation and very basic (we stayed 10 days so a slight variation would have been nice). The hotel has a small piece of the beach (approx 5min walk) and is in the second row which is a pain if with kids as you’re too far away from the water in order to supervise the kids while playing). Value/money not good in my opinion.

• BLANC (10/5): Excellent séjour - Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Nous avions une chambre au rez-de-chaussée avec accès direct à la piscine et à la plage. Le personnel est très sympathique réactif et à L’écoute. Excellent petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet. Le seul bémol serait le prix du repas du soir. C’est aussi un buffet et que nous avons trouvé un peu élevé.

Ein Teil am Strand ist für die Gäste reserviert. Ab Donnerstag war dieser jedoch abgeräumt. Wir konnten zu einem anderen Abschnitt. 1. und 2. Reihe dürften von unsn nicht benutzt werden.

Zum Meer sind es etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß😊 Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu bemängeln wären die Preise für Getränke im Hotel, einen Aperol für 12 Euro geht garnicht. Das war der teuerste Aperol, den wir je getrunken habe😳 Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse gut, aber das Personal war etwas unorganisiert und man musste manchmal lange auf seinen Cappuccino warten.

Fina rum med fin uteplats mot gården, Nackdelen var att det var dyrt i baren o få resturanger i omgivningen. Trots det rekommenderar vi gärna hotellet till andra.
• stefan (4/5): Schöne Aussenanlage - das war‘s dann aber auch!!! - Aufenthalt im Sept 2018. + schöne Aussenanlage + gute Parkplatzsituation + Strandnähe (herrliches Wasser + Sand aber Liegen-Burg. Man kann den Liegennachbarn fast mit ausgestrecktem Arm berühren) Warum die Schlechte Bewertung!?!: An 4 von 6 Abenden ca. 30 Ameisen im Zimmer. Insektennest auf dem Balkon. Bevor gereinigt wurde haben wir die Rezeption auf die toten Ameisen hingewiesen. Diese lagen alle noch auf dem Boden des Zimmers. Ergebnis: man könne uns nicht folgen....man sehe keine Ameisen. Das Nest auf dem Balkon (keine Ameisen...irgendwas anderes) wurde dann einen Tag später entfernt...nicht sofort...italienische Gelassenheit!!! Ferner wurde das Nest nur halb entfernt...der Rest hing dann dort rum....inkl. 1-2 Larven. Frühstück: Eine Sorte Wurst, keine Salami, eine Sorte Käse. Brotauswahl: mehr als klein. Süßes: trocken (Kuchen) und schlechte Qualität. Säfte schmecken wie aus der Verpackung. Der Café war ok. Abendessen: Nur Buffet!!! Schlechte Auswahl und Qualität. Lauwarm. Keine Bezeichnung vor den Behältern was in den Schalen ist (manchmal konnte man es nicht erkennen was sich darin befindet) Erklären konnte es uns auch niemand, denn Englisch=Fehlanzeige! Dessert: schlecht! 30€ pro Person für diesen - entschuldigen Sie die Ausdrucksweise - Fraß ist eine Unverschämtheit!!! Wir haben ab dem zweiten Abend immer auswärts gegessen. Porto Rotondo bietet sich hier an. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. Ungenügend für ein 4 Sterne Hotel.

Breakfast poor, limited for healthy food options -everyday something was “finito” before breakfast was closed. Coffee was good. Fried eggs were charged extra! No vegetable like tomatoes for breakfast ! We requested room change as we we did not have any view- it was basically closed by another roof- reception ignored this and never came back with follow up on our request. Reception gave ys wrong info about taxi to the airport and also gave us outdated bus schedule last day for the airport- / quite basics!
• Sandra (10/5): Heimeliges und ruhiges Hotel zum Entspannen - Der gemütliche und geflegte Hotelanlage. Schöner und ruhiger Poolbereich. Strand über kurzen Fußweg (Hecken und Sträucher gesäumt) erreichbar. Liegen am Strand durch Hotelvoucher kostenfrei. Sehr schöner Strandbereich. Landestypische Frühstücksauswahl ist ausreichend. Wir haben nur ein Mal das Abendessen im Hotel eingenommen, da wir Restaurants in der Umgebung (Auto hilfreich) probiert haben. Das Buffet hatte sehr gute Antipastiauswahl und auch die Hauptgerichte ließen nix zu Wünschen übrig.
• Abby (6/5): Well located but lacking in atmosphere - Very comfortable bedrooms. Lovely beds and linen. Bathroom is very spacious with good powerful shower and small bath. The whole place is spotlessly clean. The food is good, especially dinner which was comparably good value for money. Breakfast is a simple buffet but sufficient. The restaurant is lacking in atmosphere - bright lighting and no music. There is no real bar area and the seating in reception is not particularly comfortable or inviting. We visited just out of season in early October so the hotel was quiet with very little atmosphere. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The hotel is ok but could be much improved with a little more atmosphere and better seating and lighting in the lobby/ 'bar' area.
• steve (8/5): Nice hotel close to beach. - Great room , pool and beach access. However.... Breakfast was poor and had too many tinned fruits, dry pastries limited choices. Coffee was good. There is a problem with wasps near pool and this prevents food being served by pool. Restaurant waiters were very good. But the evening meals were below average for Italy. And not cheap. Two modest restaurants in the village 10 minutes walk away offer good , fresh and simple dishes at great prices. And Porto Rotondo which is lovely offers a great choice and it’s 10 minutes by car.
• John (8/5): Excellent value for money - Very comfortable with large, spacious rooms and a nice balcony. Very good value for the price. Staff were very charming and helpful at all times. Close to a private beach. Only downsides were the breakfast was rather limited for choice and the hotel is basically in the middle of no-where. There is nowhere to eat or drink within easy walking distance - we had a car so it wasn't a problem but if you did not have your own transport your options would be very limited.

• Jennifer (8/5): Amazing Pool! - The pool is absolutely incredible and my room was so spacious. The shower is one of the biggest and so was my patio. The hotel is in perfect condition and if you have the money I highly recommend it.
• Jennifer (8/5): Wonderful Hotel - The hotel is very updated and clean. The people who work there are very nice as well. It's a bit expensive and a gravel road walk to the beach. If you are alone it's a bit out of the way. Also bring everything you need as there isn't a store to buy suntan lotion or cigarettes if you need them. There is a store to walk and know the taxis during August are quite overpriced and they don't take credit cards.

• Anthea (10/5): Lovely, quiet hotel - Well maintained hotel, big rooms all very modern. Quiet location and hotel. No negatives at all if you are looking for a peaceful place. Only a couple of restaurants in walking distance so you need a car if you aren't half board.
• Brian (4/5): Disappointment - Very poor Wifi signal throughout the hotel. The sink and the shower were both clogged. The breakfast was not very good. The beds were not very comfortable and there were ants all over the sheets. I would not recommend it to anyone.
• Richard (10/5): Very smart,clean and modern - We stayed at the Marana for 6 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The staff were professional, attentive and above all friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The Hotel seems very new as it was immaculate. I booked a garden suite but I think it was upgraded to a junior with a lovely view of the pool and garden ( I had contacted the hotel direct as it was my girlfriends **th (!) birthday ).The beach ( although not the prettiest in the world is free to Hotel guests whereas some public beaches charge 40 eu pp per day for loungers) is just 5 minutes walk. We did not eat at the restaurant as we had a car (free, underground (cool) parking) and wanted to explore but other guests told us that it was excellent. If I were being tortured to find a negative, it would be that the room did not have a kettle (personal and petty maybe, but nice to have the freedom). The pluses are numerous but it is the little things that count - notwithstanding all of the above - we had a late flight and had to check out at 12 but the hotel have a facility whereby you can store your luggage till needed and made available a room with a shower, etc to change when needed (no charge, just book). All in all I would recommend this hotel very highly and have no hesitation in returning. A fantastic location for exploring (beautiful Porto Rotondo just 5 minutes drive). The local Marina of Marinella is very quiet but has a couple of lovely restaurants.
• Janka (8/5): Close to the beach - Hotel located close to a beautiful beach, sun decks & umbrella were provided by the hotel. We were welcomed by very helpful and friendly staff who were always smiling and it was pleasant to talk to them. Our room was nice but it had no balcony. It wasn't very spacious but we did not mind as we weren't spending there loads of time. It had a safe which did not work when we came but the hotel staff was very efficient to fix it. The bathroom was nice with a spacious jaccuzzi bath, towels were changed every day. However, being rated at 4 stars we were expecting our beach towels to be changed every day but we were only allowed to change them every 3 days. With no balcony to hang it to dry out we were forced to use our own towels too. Breakfast was good, variety of pastries, eggs, ham and cheese as well as fruit. We did not have dinner included so can not comment on it. Drinks were a bit expensive, simple gin & tonic was 12 euros. But considering we went in July, everything in Sardinia is a bit overpriced. Also if you are staying here you need a car. It's 2 min walk from Marinella train station with services to Olbia & Golfo Aranci but that's about it. There are 3 restaurants in Marinella bay to have a dinner though. Otherwise you need to drive everywhere. All in all a good experience but in my opinion not worth the money they ask for a room.
• Jimmy (10/5): Excellent hotel, very comfortable - A lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern. We had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and grounds. The hotel is in a quiet area, but close enough to Porto Rotondo and Golfo Aranci by car. The beach is a few minutes walk from the hotel. Friendly staff.
