What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the staff; they work seamlessly together, creating such a warm and positive atmosphere. • Alena Sophie (10/5): - Das Personal im Hotel sowie im Dive Shop war super freundlich und immer hilfsbereich, man hat sich dort wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer waren schön und groß, die Aussicht vom Balkon wirklich toll. Die gesamte Anlage wurde sehr gut gepflegt und war durchweg sauber. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, allerdings ist es dort nicht wirklich zum baden geeignet (kein guter Zugang), dafür ist es umso schöner dort im Restaurant zu essen. Das Frühstück gab es bis 12 Uhr, was wir sehr positiv fanden, so konnte man nach einem morgendlichen Tauchgang noch frühstücken. Auch der Dive Shop und die Instructor dort waren sehr nett und nur zu empfehlen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, dafür ist es sehr ruhig und auch hier sind fußläufig viele Restaurants zu finden. Zur public beach area läuft man circa 15 Min. Ich war mit meinem Partner dort, aber auch als alleinreisende Frau kann man sich dort wirklich sicher fühlen.

We booked the seeview with balcony room, which is great, if you like to sit outside and watch live run by. The bathroom is small and basic, but super clean. Restaurant has beautiful view as well, for me only coffee taste could be improved. We would always come again to Shams.

The breakfast was also perfect, which made the whole experience even better. There was no sign or clear indication that this was a hotel, which made it a bit difficult to find at first.

• NIKOLAY (1/5): В этом отеле мы встретили англоговорящуу пару и спросили их впечатление ответ: "никогда больше" - Администрация этого объекта не предупредила до бронирования, что на территории ведутся капиталтьные земляные работы с применением тяжелой строительной техники. Работы проводились днем и ночью. Прямо под окнами всю ночь ездил экскаватор и другая строительная техника, проводилась разгрузка стройматериалов. Входная дверь в номер имеет большие зазоры и вся строительная пыль и выхлопные газы трактора прямиком попадали в номер. Проход к месту приема пищи был перекопан (сформирована траншея для укладки санитарнотехнических труб) при этом, экскаватор повредил подземные электроческие коммуникации и все так не менялось пока мы были в этом месте. Для перехода по траншее положили несколько деревянных досок или надо было обходить по песку, выбирая тропу. Поврежденные электрические кабели никто на ремонтировал. В последствии, экскаватор прокопал еще одну траншею и ситуация усугубилась. Мы терпели пару дней, но проблемы с ночными работами не прекращались, Что касается питания в рекламном проспекте меню фото не соответствуют реальному варианту завтрака. Цены сильно завышены. Данное путешествие было запланировано в качестве подарка к юбилею. Но вместо подарко мы получили невыносимые мучения. Мы обратились к адимистрации о возврате оплаты данного бронирования, но получили отказ. В результате переговоров владелец предложил сделать запрос в поддержку Букинг.ком. Ответ пока не получили. В результате мы забронировали через Букинг.ком отличный отель Naama Bay Hotel & Resort по цене ниже чем в Шамсе (Дахаб) с все включено ( в т.ч. трехразовое просто нереально разнообразное на выбор питание) и прекрасно отдохнули оставшиеся дни. К сожалению не удалось загрузить ночное видео под окнами нашего номера..

• BHAGGAWENT KAUR (9/5): Pleasant - It’s a simple straight forward type of hotel. Comes with a dive shop, it’s on the main strip and the restaurant where you have breakfast and meals is right by the water. As a guest, you get to also chill there. There were so many cats and a few dogs around that were friendly and cute as well. It’s not so much about the property but more about the staff. Everyone at Shams is friendly, it’s like they welcome you to their home. We got help when we needed, we book all our dives with Shams and I even did my advance course with them. It’s a laid back, chill vibe, and everyone is so helpful and they go above and beyond to accommodate their guest. Being on the main strip, at night it can get a bit noisy. But nothing that woke us up in the middle of night.

• Anne (9/5): Trotz kleinen Makeln ein schönes, ruhiges Hotel - Schönes, kleines Hotel mit angeschlossener Tauchbasis. Es gibt keinen direkten Strandzugang. Das Personal war sehr nett. Uns wurde geholfen, als wir ein Medikament aus der Apotheke brauchten. Eine Nachfrage nach einem Wasserkocher wurde sofort erfüllt. Zimmerreinigung wird nach Nachfrage erledigt. Strandpromenade mit zahlreichen Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Man könnte das Zimmer vorher durchchecken, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Beide Stühle auf dem Balkon waren kaputt. Es wurde angesprochen, aber leider nicht behoben. Es gibt für zwei Leute einen einzigen schmalen Schrank für die Kleidung. Das ist sehr wenig, wir haben die Kleidung in unseren Koffern gelassen. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt doch etwas ungünstig. Die Duschkabine ist super klein. Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant könnten etwas kundenfreundlicher sein. Die Musik war teilweise so laut, dass Bestellungen nicht verstanden und somit einfach nicht gebracht wurden.

Very close to down town souks , mamsha or Dahab Promonade where you find Caffès Restaurant just nextnto the beach and shops for local goods for interested. Clean and good breakfast options Dahab at that area is a popular area. Shams reflect this but in a very clean and well organized way and a loving and caring staff that wants to offer the nest service and help with the least benefit.

• Ahmed (6/5): Pleasant - The location is perfect a walking distance from everywhere I'd like to go. The nice little balcony and the seaview is all that I liked about this place. The shower cabin doesn't close well the bathroom was a big mess after every shower! The house keeping staff were negligent.. they provided shower towels only I had to ask them for a hand towel to be given one! They also forgot to change the toilet roll. The room needs more storage area, the narrow closet in the room is barely enough for one person's use.

The bathroom was broken, we had a missing glass at the shower, we told the owner and he said he will replace it soon. The staff was helpful with offering us last minute day trips, but the prices were a lot higher than at the local agencies. Also, pay attention at the negociation, if they say euros or dollars and if the price is per person or per trip.

• Saleem (10/5): Unforgettable trip with friends - I’ve been to Dahab before, but this time was the best! Shams Hotel really made our trip special. Big thanks to the amazing staff: Shaaban, Ali, Roza, Mahmoud, Kareem, Abedelrahman, Suheila, Maria, Aiman and Ashraf. We were big group of friends coming to discover Dahab and try diving for the first time. The hotel was in a great location and had the best dive instructors. The staff were always friendly, smiling, and ready to help. We asked for 5 bungalows next to each other, and they made it happen. Diving was fun and easy, and everything went perfectly. We also joined three fun activities arranged by Suheila and the hotel staff: diving, party night and a Bedouin camp night with guitar music and stargazing. All were amazing! The breakfasts were tasty, rooms were clean, and we felt at home. Roza even wrote “Dahab” on the bandage of my arm - my little trophy and sweet memory. We came as guests and left feeling like family. The restaurant deserves a special mention—set in a stunning location. It offers a fantastic dining experience with a menu full of fresh, delicious dishes and drinks. Whether you're unwinding after a dive or just soaking in the scenery, it's the perfect spot to savour the moment. An ideal getaway for both relaxation and adventure! It's very basic and maybe sometimes a little sounds since it's near town.
