- Lia (10/5): - Everything was perfect, the location the staff very friendly, especially KARIM and MOHAMED and all the other staff were very helpful and polite. The riad has a very good vibe!!!

- Claudia (10/5): I really liked this place and would choose it again for another visit. - I had a really big, quiet and nicely furnitured room. The stuff was very kind and supportive. They even walked with me through the Medina to reach the taxi.
- Johanne (7/5): Bra!

Invece NO! Abbiamo dovuto pagare anche quello.... E hanno impiegato una vita a prepararlo.... Facendoci arrivare tardi all'appuntamento.
- Jared (10/5): Very accommodating and altogether great place to stay - Staff were fantastic. Really enjoyed the breakfast also. A superb location and a really great stay
Heel centrale ligging. Een verborgen parel!
- Tatyana (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay! The service was exceptional from start to finish. I was warmly welcomed at the airport, which made my arrival stress-free and smooth. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast that was fresh, varied, and delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly taken care of throughout my stay. Highly recommended!
- Asif (8/5): Beautiful cozy Riad - Beautiful Riad and exceptional value for the money. We booked a flat for 5 people and stayed one night. Very spacious 2 story flat with plenty of space for everyone. Staff helped us with our luggage which was a lot and arranged a carrier to take us to the taxi. Rooms were very clean and had everything that we needed. We were provided tea and biscuits upon arrival and made to feel welcome. Thanks Riad Chorfa

- Ed (8/5): Lovely riad - Sunset over the Atlas Mountains from the rooftop! - Really enjoyed my stay. I had the single room which was lovely and cosy (I was a bit worried about it being too small or not enough daylight, but neither were a problem - great little room!). Very comfy bed and nice cosy decour and lighting. The staff at the riad were all really friendly, and there was always someone around if you needed anything. Best of all was the roof terrace! Loads of places to sit, so it was never too busy, and the views to the Atlas mountains were incredible! Location was also great, an easy 5-10 min walk to the main square, and right in amongst the market stalls of the medina, just round the corner from the Jardin Secret. I'd stay here agian :) Breakfast was simple, but it matched what I was expecting from reviews/photos - a selection of breads with jams, butter, soft cheese, plus fruit salad, juice and tea/coffee. More choice would have been even better, but it absolutley did the job, and well priced!
- Sophia (7/5): - Beautiful riad in the city center.
- Soukaina (10/5): A quiet pearl in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech - My stay at Riad Chofra was truly amazing.
Even though it was short, I really enjoyed every moment. The riad is located in the heart of the Medina, making it easy to explore the old city, gardens, museums, and reach Jemaa El-Fna Square as well as other Marrakech attractions.
The riad itself is a piece of art, with its beautiful Moroccan architecture. The rooftop is stunning, and every corner has its own unique design. The room smelled wonderful and was thoughtfully designed to make the stay comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and varied.

- George (10/5): An oasis in the middle of the chaotic Marrakech - Everything! Just like my summer days, it literally felt like an oasis in the middle of the chaotic Marrakech! Hamid was super helpful and friendly and enriched my solo travel experience by a lot. Will definitely return here whenever I will be back in Morocco. I had a room with a window to the narrow street which could sometimes get noisy, even at night. But nothing that a pair of earplugs cannot block.
- Buchan (8/5): Very good - Staff Facility
- Edvard (10/5): Exceptional - Very sweet staff, heated pool in the courtyard, delicious food. Location is great, quiet but very central. The roof terrace is fantastic! Not the most comfortable bed, but it was OK.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Logah (10/5): Great location and amazing staff. - The staff were so friendly and helpful here. I only stayed one night but they were really informative and made me feel safe as a solo traveller. Usama and Mohammed 1 were brilliant in helping me and recommending places to eat and see. Thank you so much for making my Marrakech trip comfortable. Really cute pet tortoises too!
- Bárbara (10/5): Beautiful facilities and amazing sraff! - Beautiful location, amazingly attentive staff!!
We loved everything, from the comfortable rooms to the beautiful view from the terrace.
- Savage (9/5): Riad Chorfa - The most amazing rooftop - The beautiful building, the wonderful staff and the amazing rooftop. Top location also.
- Allison (8/5): Good - Beautiful and colorful interior design. Cool rooftop with lots of different areas to relax and lounge and find your own space up there for privacy. Fantastic location in the Medina. Close to everything yet nice and quiet inside. They do not have a hammam you can use on your own for free. Just before staying here I was at another riad next door that had a riad their guests could use for free at any hour… breakfast is an up charge. I had a single room as a solo traveler and the room was very tiny. The room was so small that I couldn’t fully open my large sized suitcase. There was no free refreshments. Typically a hotel or riad offers free water, tea and coffee. This riad charges for everything…
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pennie (9/5): Really loved Riad Chorfa, beautiful colours & decor and the staff were super helpful and friendly. - It was a great location, loved the decor and colours of the accommodation, it had such an amazingly authentic feel. The bed mattress was a bit lumpy, could have been more comfortable.
- Charles (10/5): A beautiful place that is perfectly located. - Upon arriving we were greeted with outstanding hospitality, very refreshing post long travel.
- Dinesh (10/5): Highly recommended - We stayed 6 days in the Riad. It is located in the old Medina, but away from the hustle and bustle of Jema El Efna. It has a beautiful little pool to keep cool during the hot days. It also has a few day beds on the roof to watch the sunset or to just chill. The staff were so lovely and helpful, they gave us a lot of recommendations for attractions and also where to eat and to change money etc. There are also 4 little turtles walking around by the pool during the day. We absolutely loved our stay in the Riad and will definitely come back when we are back in Marrakech. About a 10 mins walk to the Riad from the main road as cars are not allowed in the old Medina. It did not bother us, but bear in mind there is a bit of a walk to get to it, like any other riads in the old Medina.
- Aline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khaled (9/5): I enjoy it - Clean and excellent staff
- Cian (10/5): A must stay if you're in Marrakech! Amazing staff, beautiful architecture and great food :) - The friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met at a hotel. I felt more like I was staying at someones house than a business. The hospitality they showed me was unparalleled with anything I've experienced before. I desperately needed a place to stay for a few hours while I waited for my early morning flight and they took me in like I was family. It's something I'll never forget. If I'm ever in Marrakech again I will absolutely stay here again! I have nothing bad to say about this place, it greatly exceeded expectations and the staff went above and beyond to help me out. There is nothing that could have been done better, the stay was perfect!
- Athanasios (9/5): Superb - Excellent people and location. The house was very beautiful and traditional and most important close to the center. It could include some breakfast with that price comparing to the rest Riads.
- Nayran (10/5): I just came back from this amazing Riad! The staff are AMAZING, very helpful and caring, the location is great and you w - It is in a GREAT location!
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Q5805ZYsimons (10/5): Great place, well located, good views, really helpful staff, heaps of character - perfect. - Our first time in Morocco, and we couldn’t have found a better placed to stay.
Good early communication from the owner with advice and potential trips. Booked airport shuttle through the Riad also.
Room was full of character with many nice touches in the decor (see photos)
There are plenty of places to relax around the Riad, particularly the roof garden which has amazing views across the city, and further to the Atlas Mountains.
We booked a guide on the first morning (again through the Riad) which really helped us see the city in context, and took us to places we would never have found on our own.
We took excursions to OurikaValley which included waterfall hike, a real Berber market, and a fabulous lunch.
We also took a camel ride in the Agafay Desert, which was superb (again, booked through the Riad)
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
Location was a short walk to the Jemma al Fna, and to many attractions.
We would come back anytime….
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Tamika (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): A peaceful stay with great rooftop views in the madness of the medina - Beautiful design, nice location down a quiet alley off the souks, great rooftop with incredible views Nothing
- Yvonne (10/5): Relaxing, chilled and decorative. - Great location, staff, roof terrace, food etc Nothing! Really cool place
- Aileen (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (10/5): Exceptional - The food was the best we had.
- Shannon (9/5): Staff were so helpful, location is great and overall very cute Riad with great Moroccan vibe. - Staff were so helpful and were able to offer me a great price to upgrade my room on arrival Aircon wasn’t very cold in my room
- Robinson (5/5): It’s a great location but small but other than that I would research before making a final decision - The stay tried to suggest a car service triple the price of a taxi . The overcharging for simple things and the option to refuse room cleaning
- Anonymous (9/5): I loved my stay there - The staff were great so kind and accommodating. The facility was also nice. They offer great service and really care about their customers. They also offer great food The rooms were small.
- Luke (9/5): wonderful place and location! - rooms and food where amazing and the staff were very friendly lots of stairs, but that’s normal for a Riad. not a complaint!
- Roberta (10/5): Everything was excellent. -
- chrystophm (10/5): Cute spat in the heard of Medina - The Decor was charming
The location was extremely central .at the same time extremely quite .
The Staff was so friendly and helpful .
Very clean
Couldn't imagine a better home in Marrakech .
highly recommended
Chrystoph
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (5/5): Passable - STAFF WERE HELPFUL TO OUR NEEDS THE PHOTOGRAPHS ON BOOKING .COM MUST HAVE BEEN PHOTOSHOPPED AS THE REALITY ON SEEING THE INTERIOR WAS SADLY LACKING.
ALSO NO ALCOHOL AVAILABLE BUT WE COULD BRING IT IN AS REQUIRED
BREAKFAST AND SNACK MENU WAS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT
- Amanda (10/5): Just amazing. - Good breakfast & plenty of it. The staff were very helpful & friendly.
Peaceful location, yet so close to the heart of the medina. We loved the different seating areas on the rooftop. Would highly recommend this riad.
- Suzy (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, beautiful roof terrace, friendly staff, amazing room.
- Dimitrios (8/5): Very good -
- Marcos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (10/5): great experience, beautiful riad with top terrace - A wonderful riad, friendly and accommodating staff; comfortable traditional room with private terrace…I particularly liked the interior design, the attention to details as regards the decorative objects and furniture, although on arrival I got a feeling of a ‘cold’ yard (yet beautiful architecture); stunning view of Marrakesh from the superb terrace; fabulous lunch served on the top terrace, a real gem! Poor wi-fi
- Pimphorn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Chukwudalu (9/5): Superb - excellent location, staff very friendly, helpful, multilingual. gave very good tourism advice. breakfast always amazing . they had cats around the property we could play with
- Landscape100 (6/5): Stayed in better - Booking experience with Lara and the communications/emails were fantastic.
We were met at the airport and taken to the Riad, The Riad was perfect location for what we wanted, right in the Soukes/Madina.
Check in was fine, the usual mint tea and biscuits. As travelling with my 18yr old daughter I pre booked a suite at 105euro per night , the biggest room they offered ( 2 beds in a large suite ) to give both privacy, Now DO NOT spend extra on an upgrade as they DO NOT have suites even though the claim to have, I think they just make up what the customer request, they put us in a double room with 1 x double bed, after a very polite request to the management and we explained we booked a suite, they suggested by the time we got back from our night out all will be sorted…. Oh no, they had just plonked a single bed 18” from the double bed.
We spoke to other guests and peered in their rooms and oh yes not much difference in size and some were at 70euro per night.
So book the cheapest and it’s pot luck what you get.
After a chat we decided to just put up and shut up for the sake of 4 nights.
First breakfast next morning was a disaster, we were given tea, 4 cold pancakes with preserve and offered a plain omelette if required , this was our only breakfast here, now I have stayed in many Riads in Marrakesh over the years and the breakfasts have ALWAYS been a lavish style buffet type breakfast, this wasn’t worth the money we were charged, we got far far better the next 3 mornings at a fraction of the cost.
I just felt this establishment were only concerned about money as they increase the charge of everything so my advice is book your own taxis/excursions, meals outside of the riad.
This Riad is very noisy so if you want a quiet nights sleep without motorbikes, doors banging etc then don’t book here.
The water was hot but very slow and each time stopped mid shower so bit of an inconvenience.
On a positive…
Location great 👍
Riad clean & tidy 👍
2 staff members we met 👍👍
- Marius (6/5): Pleasant - the stuff the building was in renovation. I didn’t knew that from
booking.
low internet connection
I paid city tax in the booking.com with room
as well, but they charged me for another tax.
- Tayla (10/5): Amazing - love Riad Chorfa! - We had an absolutely amazing time at Riad Chorfa. Normally, we wouldn't spend so much time in our Riad, as it's best to get out an explore but we couldn't wait to get back and pass time there. The service was amazing, the staff wanted to help us with anything we needed and they even made a birthday cake and brought it up to us on the terrace.
- Bettins (5/5): Nice atmosphere, but single room not to recommend - Rooftop
Heated pool
Nice people Very small and dark single room, very small window
Not always clean
Bath in the room stinking
Very used room with walls and furniture broken
- Anne (7/5): Beautiful Riad with stunning roof top terrace in a very convenient spot for souks and the Medina. - The Riad arranged for us to have an evening meal at short notice and we ate this on the beautiful roof top terrace - good food with a fantastic view of the surrounding Medina.
The courtyard and roof top terrace were the plus points of the Riad. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting in the bathroom was good.
The staff were young and friendly - nice vibe- and the breakfast was quite good. When we arrived at the pre-arranged spot in our taxi the porter wasn't there and the taxi driver wasn't able to contact the Riad by phone (one line was constantly occupied and the other line was down), so luckily the taxi driver was able to contact another independent porter to take us to the Riad with our luggage. This is pretty essential in the Medina. The staff were not particularly apologetic.
Our room was right by the main staircase (noisy) and also next to a restaurant next door which was very noisy until after midnight on our last night. Avoid room 4 if you can - see if you can get a room further away from the main entrance!
- Edmund (9/5): Superb - An absolutely stunning, traditional riad. We stayed in one of the first floor rooms overlooking the courtyard and it was perfect; very beautiful and full of unique touches. The roof terrace is as good as it gets; an amazing place to soak up the sunset or hear the city come to life at dawn. Just a minor thing, but the hammam they use is in another riad about 15 minutes walk away. From the listing I thought there was one in the riad itself.
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect accomodation for central city - Staff were really kind and welcoming. Very accommodating with allowing me to keep luggage at the riad and using it as a base on my last day before the flight. Great place for a solo traveller. No complaints
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moritz (10/5): Exceptional -
- krishindap (10/5): Dream come true - It has been a life long dream to visit Marakesh and stay in a colourful beautiful Riad and this was it. I can mot express how warm, beautiful, friendly and welcoming this place is. Yan, Cedric, Hamza and the amazing staff including Rashida 'the queen of the kitchen', Ibriham our kind hearted porter and Abdil hadi our wonderful guide. They made our stay magical, fun and beautifully humane. The riad is an artistic treat and glorious to stay in. I can not recommend the Chofra enough.
If you go because of this review, say hello from me.
- Lucinda (10/5): wonderful, very welcoming and beautiful riad - the breakfast
- Hilde (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing yard and rooftopterrace with different seatingareas, on top 360 degree view over Marrakech, beautiful to sit and enjoy the sounds and smells of the city. Paradiselike surroundings with plants, tasteful, authentic decor, chill music. Bath is heated and gives great cooling during hot days. Supercomfortable bed. The Riad is a footstep from the buzzing Medina but is a quiet oasis. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Hundred percent recommended, thank you so much!

- Ben (10/5): Highly recommend!!!! - Amazing food and the staff were fantastic! The air conditioning was a miracle in the 45 degree heat, and it felt very safe. They were so helpful and made our stay that much more enjoyable. Nothing to say here! Loved every bit!
- Clara (10/5): Friendly, comfortable and safe! - The staff; Hamza and Siido were very helpful. The location was fabulous! Little touristy, but very safe and great service.
