Guest Reviews
- Janet (10/5): - We have stayed at many b&bs, inns, gites and hotels over the years but without a doubt this was the best breakfast we have ever been served. A choice of 'healthy' or 'traditional', each was served with a generous serving of beautifully arranged fresh fruit - truly a very hardy and delicious breakfast.
The host André and his assistant Kevin provided excellent service and a most warm welcome.
We will return!
- Dorothy (10/5): Beautiful B&B - The room was super comfortable and beautifully decorated.
The breakfasts were delicious and perfect for our taste.
Andre is a perfect host . We really enjoyed our stay ! Highly recommend!
- Simone (6/5): - The owner are really nice and they offer some service as the homemade spa.
Some inconvenient with the bathroom, not severe actually.
- Edward (10/5): - Charming, well appointed Victorian B&B with a charming host and excellent breakfast.
- Jan (10/5): - beautiful garden area and cool. Very pleasant host with 3 charming friendly dogs
- Dawn (8/5): - We had a lovely stay and our host was lovely! We would stay here again for sure!
- Margarita (10/5): - L’attention du personnel est unique. Ce fut une expérience merveilleuse.
- Chinmay Purushottam (10/5): - Great host - great breakfast. 100% recommended
- Charlotte (10/5): - Host was wonderfully accommodating - from special coffee to ride to a perfect restaurant. Beautifully decorated and resident pets were a delight.
- Christine (10/5): - I didn't like the noise from the bar across the street.
I did like the amazing breakfast the Host made in the morning.
The Host was very friendly and accommodating.
- Karen (10/5): - Andre is an excellent host and the breakfast was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): A warm and relaxing place to stay - The owner was super nice and welcoming. Also their giant cat is so cute.
- Manon (6/5): Could be better, lots of potential. - The host was very kind and nice. However, I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place. The front of the house was unkept.
At the breakfast table, I was the first one, there was still crumbs from the previous day in the table cloth.
The towels were stained and thin.
- Julien (10/5): - Y retournerai
- Rebecca (10/5): - Innkeeper very helpful Delicious healthy breakfast
- Sara (10/5): Beautiful B&B stay - First time staying @ a B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! What a beautiful home. Check-in was easy. Great suggestions for dinner nearby. Andre was the perfect host. Would definitely stay here again!
- Jennifer (10/5): - This was a delightful find- a beautiful older home just off the Main Street (Galt) with the most friendly host (André) that we could have asked for. Our room was both well appointed and comfortable with windows out to the side street. Our breakfast was exactly what we needed and wanted and filling for a full day of college touring.
Things to know- there are pets present so if you are highly sensitive be aware( we aren’t and loved having furry friends!) . André did offer me charge for my EV but I declined - I need to pull a full charge for driving home anyways but there is the ability to charge here.
- Suzanne (10/5): - We had an excellent stay! Andre was friendly and informative. The B&B was attractively decorated. Our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!
- David (10/5): - This home is on a quiet side street but close to restaurants and the cycling paths. It’s beautiful and spacious and our host, Andre, made us feel right at home. His breakfasts are so good and generous that we didn’t have to have lunch, even though we were on our bicycles all day. The backyard is nice for relaxing with plenty of chairs and tables, plus a pool and hot tub. There are pets on the property. The cat is especially friendly!
- Martin (10/5): - .
- Vicki (10/5): - Andre is the type of person that makes you feel like your important. Makes it feel like home. The home is beautiful and open to be used. We walked in the neighborhood. Felt very safe. The breakfast he made for us was incredible, not like a motel. The animals were so fun to pet. A very nice pool and hot tub. The room was very clean and comfy. Can't say enough good things. Highly recommend.
- Gilles (10/5): - je le recommande
- John (10/5): - Andre was super welcoming. Knew the area well. Great breakfast. Wonderful home and garden. Very accommodating for bicyclists. Recommend highly.
- Barbara (10/5): - Perfect location for eclipse watching and an introduction to Sherbrooke. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, small refrigerator and all the standard b&b amenities.
- Mark (10/5): - Came up to Sherbrooke to see the eclipse, and had a great time. André is a wonderful host.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Walking distance to USherbrooke. The owner is a very kind and respectable man.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Andre is a kind and generous host. The breakfast is enormous and delicious. The building is beautiful and convenient to area attractions; a hot tub and pool table are available to guests. There are 2 dogs and a cat living on the property. Overall, it was a homey experience.
- Allen (10/5): - The rooms are lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the host was terrific. He is fluent in English too, which made is easy for an English speaker.
- Lorne (10/5): - Very beautiful, host was very accommodating
- Danielle (10/5): - The host André was extremely nice and welcoming. He made us feel at home. The decor is rich and comfortable and the pool is heated… we will be back.
- ericca (10/5): - Such a beautiful place. Hidden in the middle of a Sherbrooke city. Once you walk in. You wouldn't even know you're in location. That it looks like when you look out the window. I could not ask for a better place to go and relax and enjoy. Knowing I'm not far from home. Is the best host. Kindness. No complaints.
- Nancy (10/5): - Accueillant et proprio très gentil.
- Martine (10/5): - Un bon déjeuner copieux
- Richard (10/5): - Great place, excellent service !!
- Catherine (10/5): - Proprio acueillant, gite coquet et déjeuner delicieux.
- Daniel (8/5): Quiet, clean, functional, with great host - Had to make an impromptu 3-night trip to Sherbrooke for family reasons. And, had to find time to write while there. This lovely B&B was great. André was a great host; my room (#5) was clean, comfortable, and quiet; and the breakfasts were great. Definitely recommend if B&B's are your thing
- Alan (10/5): - Very quaint property and friendly owner. Good breakfast
- Michel (8/5): - Host is amazing. Breakfast of champions.
Property needs some tlc.
- Roger (10/5): - Breakfast was superb
- Grant (10/5): - What made our stay so memorable was the owner and host Andre. His welcoming, helpful and friendly manner made us feel right at home. His breakfasts were superb and our room was excellent but it was our conversations with Andre that will bring us back to his gite! Debi and Grant
- Punan (10/5): - It’s a great experience, the host was great with his guests. I will recommend to stay at this hotel.
- Christina (10/5): - Easy access....very clean and friendly...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Andre is an amazing host. The room was very comfortable with a new mattress and very charming. The breakfast was very good, and it was a pleasure to talk to Andre during breakfast.
- Shahla (10/5): - I love the vibe of this place! We had an amazing time there. The room was cozy and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent ( I recommend you try “Healthy Breakfast” as well. It was perfect. Also, the man who owns the place is very nice, friendly and kind. I definitely recommend this place to stay in Sherbrooke.
- Lucas (8/5): - The place was presentable. Breakfast was delicious.
- Linda (10/5): A place to stay - Unusual place with surprising well done furnishings, generous breakfast, friendly host. Micro brewery across the street with excellent beer and poutine.
- Laurence (6/5): - The bed mattress needs replacing, there is a restaurant underneath the rooms to the front and a party continued to 2:30AM on Saturday night. There is a restaurant in front that is noisy until 11-12PM. There is an issue with air in the water pipes so all night and day there is a dull hammering that can be heard. Finally, they have a german shepherd out in the back area which means that the back resting terrasse and pool area smell of dog urine. There is an upper deck that is in need of repair - that is accessible if you have children but should be barricaded since it is dangerous.
The breakfast was great. The place used to be quite beautiful but has lost some of its attraction due to aging.
- Jean-michel (10/5): - A great place near Sherbrooke university with a great manager
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice B&B - All good, a little further out then we had expected but with better directions we were fine
- Ian (10/5): - If staying in Sherbrooke and particularly near the University I would thoroughly recommend staying here. Andre makes you feel very welcome and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is a good one.
- SR (10/5): - The host, Andre, was so helpful and friendly. His breakfast was superb and Tucker was a wonderful amenity. We will definitely stay here again!
- Andrew (10/5): - The breakfast was delicious. Andre was very friendly throught the entire stay. Rooms and common areas very well decorated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming B&B with attached restaurant.owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Comfortable accommodations and delicious breakfast. We would stay again.
- Eugenie (6/5): Potential - Got to the hotel at 4:45 pm to find no one in the hotel to greet us. Walked around calling out hello- got up to second floor where we found a man who spoke no English and was surprised to find us despite having rung a doorbell and called out several times hello! He used his translation app on cell to understand we had a reservation and look up which room we were in and escorted us to it to find it completely undone and not ready! He then made some calls and told us the owner was coming. Andre arrived and was very pleasant and said he would get room ready and we were welcome to relax in garden pool area but outside the pool had not been cleaned and hoses ran around yard into pool the garden is charming but filthy and only clear place to sit was a hammock which huh right beside a dog kennel with a beautiful sad looking Sheppard locked inside. There were cigarette butts over flowing from an ashtray on table and plants, leaves, pots on the chaise and chairs.
When we got to the room the towel was stained and dirty.
The house is charming with attractive decor but broken tables stacked on top of each other missing legs and cat hair all over pool table upstairs. Andre made us a lively breakfast in the morning at a communal table with lovely other guests, if he can get help cleaning up the place it could be lovely.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Andrè the Host and owner went above to make our stay memorable. Very nice rooms, I believe all with private bathrooms. All located on second floor(no elevator) We took advantage of the outside terrace and Andrè built us a fire that just was the "crèm de crop" for our wine and conversation gathering. Breakfast was cooked, pretty much to order, by none other than our Host. We never felt bothered. We had dinner at the adjacent restaurant, some Canadian staples such as Poutine( of all sorts) Seafood poutine was good but mini shrimps are just wrong in a meal(just saying not even my meal) and Oriental foods such as Thai Pad(which was very good) . Very convenient. Grocery store right across the street.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We couldn't actually stay here. The guy on site was very nice and friendly. I booked this place because I was told that no pets were allowed. I have severe allergies and asthma. Like hospitalization bad... Well, the reason pets weren't allowed is because they have cats and dogs. When we were shown to our room, we found assorted fur on the bed, pillows floors, desk, everywhere. My lungs started to close up in like 10 minutes. I had to leave. The guy who greeted us was very understanding. Unfortunately, we picked one of the few multilingual places in that area. We couldn't find another multilingual place so we had to drive almost 3 hours to find a non-dog friendly chain hotel in Vermont. Overall, it would have been fine without my allergies but fur everywhere is still nasty.
- Elvis (10/5): - Andre the owner is an angel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The proprietor was just great. Hospitable and gracious.
- Victoria (10/5): thank you for hospitality - Our sincere thank you to Andre for hospitality, care and tasty breakfasts. Amazing customer service, excellent location with grocery and walking distance to Sherbrooke University. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hôte not completely ready for clients - Grounds outside were not ready for guests.inside the room was not ready and the whole place was acceptable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and quiet with a pub food restaurant in the same building. I like it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy night in Sherbrooke - Pleasant chatty host really worked to make our stay nice, in spite of having the surprise of freezing pipes and some renovations in progress. Breakfast was tasty, even though he mixed up orders.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great B&B near the University. - Monsieur André runs a very friendly and comfortable B&B! Great breakfast cooked to order. Quiet place. Learned upon arrival that they have a nice and cozy pool area with hot tub. Will take advantage of it next time.
- Wendy (10/5): Victorian comfort - Owner is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing
- Robert (10/5): A really nice find in the Eastern Township region - Our host, Andre, was wonderful...and we even learned a little French ! We are planning to return to Sherbrooke in the summer and will definitely book a stay at the Camelion !
