• Jesús (7/5): Pensado para las parejas no para las familias - Hicimos una reserva de 2 adultos y 2 niños, y nos encontramos que los niños no tienen la cena incluida, sin ni tan siquiera haber recibido un sólo mensaje avisando de esto, y sin poder reaccionar ya que cerca del emplazamiento no hay ningún supermercado cerca, este es el motivo por el cual no le puedo poner un sobresaliente.

Nous avons apprécié les manières pour la chambre qui est préparée pendant le dîner...le service du dîner dans un box particulier...de nombreux accessoires offerts pour la toilette...les repas excellents! Un grand parking gratuit juste en face ! Tout se fait en douceur et professionnellement...et en musique ! Peut-être les escaliers...ils sont raides et il vaut mieux avoir des bagages légers...

• Cintia (7/5): - Das Personal ist sehr höflich und nett. Das Essen (Kaiseki) ist definitiv ein Highlight und es in einem Yukata zu genießen war sehr schön. Das Bad mit thermalen Wasser mit Blick auf den Garten am Ende des Tages war sehr entspannt. Alles sehr privativ und ruhig. Das Gebäude braucht an vielen Stellen Renovierungen, da es schon ziemlich alt ist. Es gab Flecken an der Wand vom Essenraum. Auch im Badezimmer alte Ausstattung. Unser Zimmer war etwas weiter vom Eingangsbereich entfernt und es war kalt (offenes Flur). Ein Vorschlag: Beim Abendessen und Frühstück vielleicht vorher abzufragen, wie viel man essen würde oder ob es etwas gibt, was man nicht unbedingt essen würde. Bei uns gab es leider am Ende noch viel Essen übrig, da wir nicht so viel essen. Das war sehr schade.

The table with the blanket was very comfortable. It’s a little far from the city center and the bus connection is not so good. Preferably come by taxi/car.
• maria (9/5): very authentic Japanese experience with delicious food. - we had half board option as property is quite far from centre. Breakfast and Dinner were both excellent and varied both days. They kindly gave us breakfast 15 mins early on the 2nd day as we had to leave early for a train. The private onsen was very nice and 40 mins was plenty of time to relax in it, no more time needed. The room was big and spacious. I would have preferred a private bathroom but those rooms weren't available and the private onsen made up for it. everything was good

• Maxime (10/5): Awesome ryokan - Incredible place, where time seems to be suspended. Bedroom, dining room, shared spaces, onsens, everything is breathtaking. Meals are rich, various and delicious. Staff is very nice.

• アツシ (9/5): 古い旅館の日本の旅 - お食事もとてもおいしく、とてもいい滞在になりました。 古い建物ですが、十分清潔で何も不安なく過ごせました。 周りにコンビニなど何もないですが、量も質も高い夕食を頂けるので問題ありません。 静かに落ち着いて過ごせます。 周りには民家と山以外は何もなく、もし夜中に何か食べたくなっても車がないとコンビニにもたどり着けません。 もちろんそんな事態はないくらい、量も質も高い夕食を頂けます。 お風呂の種類は豊富ではありません。露天風呂も時間制です。 渡り廊下などは外を歩くのと同じですので、虫がいる事があり、虫が苦手な人は注意かも。
• Adrian Michael Campi (9/5): A most pleasing experience in a traditional style. - Dinner and breakfast were both provided. Each one was memorable for the variety of small items and the enormous care taken to make them pleasing to the eye and taste buds. Staff were very helpful in explaining the operation of the friendly facility along with the most charming assistants at the two meals. We enjoyed the onsen in the afternoon on arrival, allowing time to rest a little before dinner. The sleeping provisions made for a very restful and comfortable night. We were very pleased in the morning on departure that after we had asked for directions to the bus stop, one of the staff or perhaps the owner made sure we took the correct turn off the street in which the onsen is located. When factoring in the prices that might be charged for the two meals provided, the cost of our stay was a very reasonable one. Nothing at all.

• Lisa (9/5): Serviceminded og venligt personale, god morgen- og aftensmad og mulighed for at opleve en autentisk japansk ryokan oplev - Sød og hjælpsom personale, der hjalp med at kommunikere på japansk. Lækker aftensmad og morgenmad og der var masser af det. Godt med mulighed for privat onsen. Ville have været rart med bad på værelserne (måske dem med privat bad bare var fuldt booket?). Havde været god gæstfrihed med vandglasset på værelserne. Futonerne var lige tynde nok at sove på i forhold til andre steder.

• Lei (10/5): Wonderful stay - my favourite hotel in Japan. - This was my favourite hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly, the private onsen was lovely. You could even have free spring water - which I have not seen in any other hotel. It felt like a true Japanese experience. There was so much amazing food - I have never been so well fed in my life! That I didn’t stay longer! I would recommend they fix one of the bannisters near the bottom of the stairs as it moves! I would suggest more plants/greenery in the public bath.
• Alice (10/5): Gorgeous surroundings, exceptional food. - This is a very special place to stay. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind, and the food is exceptional. The public bath (available 24h) is very pleasant but the private baths are amazing. We’ll never forget lying in our outdoor pool watching the rain fall from the camellia petals…. We had an early start and the staff were so helpful in arranging a slightly early breakfast and a taxi for us. A perfect stay - thank you!

The meals were delicious and all served in private dining rooms - Japanese style. Lovely staff. Extremely cold in winter moving between rooms as the corridors are open air. It didn’t bother us but might bother some. We had a car so was easy for us to access the property but might be difficult if you don’t as it’s on the outskirts of town.

• Monica (10/5): Fantastic stay, beautiful setting. - Everything exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a traditional ryokan and this was it. The room was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the onsen was gorgeous. We loved our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating and were great at communicating with us in our language. The meals were very traditional and it was really fun trying all the different foods. We would return any time. There weren't any big negatives. The only thing that was a little different for us was that the hallways were cold but that just seems to be how heating in the area works. Our bedroom was nice and warm.

Prenez le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner ! Quel régal... vous sortirez de table le ventre bien rempli c'est copieux et délicieux ! Le onsen est agréable et gratuit 40mn. Allez y les yeux fermés ! Attention ce n'est pas en ville acces en voiture ou taxi.

• ? (8/5): - 8月中旬に利用いたしました。 歴史を感じる施設で一泊でしたがゆっくりすごせました。 食事にお酒、温泉水で淹れていただいたコーヒーなど美味しく頂きました。 貸切温泉、内湯どちらも利用しましたがよかったです。 貸切風呂でどちらかリニューアルされていたとのことですが説明がなかったので説明があるといいかなと感じました。 女将さんはじめスタッフの皆様は明るく気さくに話しかけていただきました。 松本市街から少し離れていますがバスでも問題なくいけました。 静かな環境でゆっくりすごしたい方にはいいと感じました。

• Toni42 (10/5): SUPER nice place, 10/10 would recommend - Izumiya Zenbe is LOVELY - I don't think the photos do it justice. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The building was an amazing old structure with beautiful little gardens in the walkways. The room we had was very nice, with tatami mats and futon beds. We loved the tea set and the little table with the heater underneath...! We also booked the breakfast and dinner service, and we are very glad we did. The private dining spaces and kaiseki experience was awesome. As was cruising around the ryokan in our yukata robes. We only used the barrel bath, rather than the rotenburo, but it was so good (although very hot!). A very relaxing place, we would happily stay here again. There is not much that I didn't like about the experience we had at Izumiya Zenbe, it was really great. The only downside would be perhaps that the accommodation is on the edge of town, so bus or taxi is necessary to get into central Matsumoto. No big deal though.

Thank you - As foreigners (Australian) we were welcomed and everything explained beautifully in English. We booked a private bath which was great. The traditional dinner and breakfast were delicious with lots of choice, beautifully presented and tasted great. Highly recommend this place. The inside slippers cold have been bigger for the men in my family. Size 12 and 13 feet!!! But they managed.

• Hiu (8/5): Good Tradition experience - A very tradition building and just feel like time travel back to the old days in Japan. Hotel is clean, the public bath is clean and tidy. The onsen in public bath is hot and very comfortable, they provide all the amenity item you need. The restaurant provide dinner and breakfast, not as many dishes as I expected but still very nice. The staff mainly speak Japanese but they are very friendly and helpful during the stay. We enjoyed the outdoor private Onsen, it's great environment worth trying.

• Justin (10/5): Truly a great place to stay. The staff is welcoming and will do everything to accommodate you. - The building is beautiful and the staff was superb. There are a great variety of hot spring baths, but the best was the outdoor bath. It's a little far from town and in a residential district. Without a car that means you will end up needing to leave the city by around 5:30 to make it to dinner, and there isn't a good option to head out after dinner. If you have a car or are willing to take a taxi, though, this can be worked around.

• Verified traveler (10/5): 神奈川県在住の温泉＆音楽好き - 露天風呂、スタッフの対応、食事、部屋、お酒、清潔さ 、静かさ等々言うことなし。 露天風呂から見えた月と星、きれいでした。 おすすめのお酒、どれも旨かった。 刺身、サクラマスに感動。 そば、善光寺で食べたそばより美味しかった。 BGM、夕食時はジャズ。朝食時はバロック。とてもいい選曲。 番外編。出発時、女将の「山賊焼きなら塩尻。」と聞いて予定になかった塩尻まで行き、昼食は塩尻山賊焼き。 美味しかった。 ありがとうございました。
