Hotel is part of a block in old part of town with many begging children and old women that tugged at our hearts and guilt. Nice street market nearby

Sans doute rapport au patron originaire Indienne qui aurait laissé la gerance à son compatriote délaissant les autres clientèles. Heureusement que la partie hébergement de par leurs professionnalismes arrivent à vous faire oublier ce désagrément. Ou alors nous étions là au mauvais moment, dommage, pour nous. À suivre
- sandradG4798EP (2/5): Strongly advise against staying here. - I recently stayed at a hotel in Madagascar, and I do not recommend it. The bathrooms were not clean, and during my two-day stay, no one ever came to clean the room. The breakfast provided was very basic, consisting of some fruit, bread, and a yogurt. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra. The hotel is located right in the center, which is a dangerous area. The moment you step outside, you are surrounded by dozens of homeless people asking for money. The hotel has an unpleasant odor, and the photos online are misleading. I strongly advise against staying here.
- JAIME (4/5): Not good - The area it’s really bad, if you are going with your family I do not recommend it. The area it is full of people living in the street and beggars. The Hotel has a nice restaurant and good rooms but there is not hot water and they have to check always your fridge to find out if you have taken anything. Be careful of the taxi fares as they will try and charge you double.

There is a staff member at the front door to ensure security. They give you a Wi-Fi access note when you check in. The air conditioning in the room works fine and the refrigerator works. I booked through Expedia and was not double charged as seen in the reviews. The price is reasonable for 6560 yen including breakfast. The analakely market is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. I would recommend TOKOTELO RESTAURANT, a local restaurant nearby.
- JanineP40 (8/5): Basic but has all you will need. - This was our first hotel in Madagascar and we arrived very late (after midnight) from arriving internationally. Staff were friendly and willing to go above to help. Shuttle to hotel was 80,000MGA. Room was well equipped with AC and fan, hair dryer, TV, large shower. Good free wifi. Quiet night and comfortable sleep. Free breakfast included was delicious. All this and we only paid $64 CAD/night!
- 9purplestars (4/5): Needs renocations - The room overall was ok and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was full of mould in the grouting and so off putting I didn't shower. My 2nd night I changed rooms to see if it was any better but it wasn't. The sheets did not fit the mattress so they were permanently rucked up and uncomfortable. the 1st night the restaurant had no Indian food so the options were very limited. No one could give me any information as to the ingredients of the foods. The 2nd night with the full menu was lovely

- Senol (4/5): Communication problem - Location is good. Clean and meets room standards in its class. My negative experience is that they have double charged even though I prepaid online before coming. It was impossible to communicate with the front desk. Although I shared my receipts, altough I showed the booking papers, Although hotels com tried to communicate and furthermore although my friend from Madagascar tried to explain face to face in their language they didnt understand. Dont rely on they are reading the emails, they dont! We have agreed that they would arrange airport shuttle. No one showed up, I had to take a taxi. We have agreed on having breakfast only 15 minutes before than usual, but I couldnt get breakfast although they confirmed one day before. Some Minor negatives: I couldnt have hot water (maybe priming takes time).. So communication is a big problem. Hotel is good and value for money, but DO NOT make plans based on their promises.

- Håkon (8/5): - Stayed here with my family. It is a cheap hotel with very good qualities! Comfortable nice rooms, good service, good wifi, safety. The breakfast did not have the greatest selection, and despite having "breakfast included" we were forced to pay extra when we asked for eggs. The location is very good, but not very safe at night, but that would go for almost all of Tana, so I would not remark it as a bad quality about the hotel.

- lindaOrlando (6/5): Budget hotel - We only had to stay here 1 night thankfully. There is so much noise in the street and it lasts ALL night. (We were in the third floor) The food in the restaurant was fair at best! We only had dinner there because we were told it wasn’t safe to go outside of hotel on our own. The bed was comfortable. You can’t open the windows because too many mosquitoes will come inside. This hotel is fine if you are on a budget but if you have extra money to spend go elsewhere.

- L2155IUkarenb (8/5): Clean friendly hotel in Central Tana Location - I'd booked this hotel as a cheap central hotel in Antananarivo. I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised, on arrival the staff were friendly and efficient. My room was very clean and comfortable and a great standard. Breakfast was included, standard continental but more than enough. They didn't have an airport shuttle as advertised but a taxi was organised quickly enough for the going rate. Area might not be the best at night but a taxi can be organised easily and cheaply enough to take you to Varangue or Sakamanga.

- saherak2015 (8/5): Good hotel - I stayed at the central hotel for one night in February 2018. The hotel is situated in the heart of Antananarivo and in a busy street so noise in inavoidable day or night. Having said this, the rooms are comfortable and mine was appropriate for my needs. The hotel arranged for a taxi to collect me from the airport at an additional cost of 60000 ariary ie less than 20 euros. The room I had booked cost 171000 ariary. Breakfast was OK - any additional items such as eggs are billed additionally. In summary, if you want a hotel close to the town of Antananarivo, this is one I would recommend.

The Taxi driver and hotel concierge were a bit shady about the cost... It was less than 3km from the airport and he wanted 80 euros... and then 60euros, but we only paid him 40euros... which was still ABSOULTELY ridiculous.

- AndrejS329 (8/5): Great price and Large room - Hotel is located on a busy street. There are no safe or particularly "good" parts of Tana and the area seems a little rough but it is centrally located and relatively close to everything. Very good hotel for the money. Restaurant does not serve beer or any alcohol but offers great views of the city from the rooftop. The room was clean and bed very comfortable with a large shower and electronic safe. Front Desk staff and waiters were very nice and helpful. Internet ok by Madagascar standards. Do not expect speeds fast enough to upload large files or stream youtube. Complimentary breakfast is very limited. You have breads and crepes, but no jam, only honey? The whole breakfast seems like an afterthought. You can pay extra for eggs. I would explore other breakfast options. There is a money exchange place right next door, but the exchange rates were way off compared to other places nearby.
- aquina1 (6/5): Multiple times - Ok so I tend to find a place I'm comfortable with and not change, habit can be a killer. I returned after my initial stay, and did get a better room, bit of a smell from the drains, all over a dated hotel and you can wait for towels to be delivered. On my 3rd return they hadn't my booking I placed on leaving last time, and suggested another, I had to get them to check availability, and it was more expensive. No apologies offered, insinuating it was my error. So it's central, more business oriented, over expensive for what's on offer. You can get better.

With the price they charge , its value for your money Do not take a room which faces main road because it become very noisy in the evenings and early morning . Lot of street kids and street vendors make hell lot of sounds and hotel does not have any controle on them ,This is one of the very disturbing factor Breakfast is very basic , View from their dining hall is Nice. You have 2 indian Restaurants on a walking distance in the same line . If you like music and beer, you have night club Indra right in front of the Hotel . Hotel rooms has lockers and safe place to stay

- David (8/5): Great central location & good value - Good value at about $44 USD (July 2017). Rooms have central AC, big windows with views of the city, desk, mini fridge and big comfortable bed. Bathrooms are good (not great) with hot water and provided shampoo, soap, toothbrush, slippers. Wi-Fi is good but lots of routers with different passwords so not always connected. Ethernet cable for Internet at the desk was my highlight, great for working on your laptop and consistently good connection. Big plus for business travelers or travelers who want to upload pics from their travels. Located 5 minutes from Independence Avenue and a supermarket is about 10 minutes walk away. Breakfast on 5th floor with great city views and outside terrace. Friendly staff especially at reception. I will be back and recommendat this hotel for people who want to be in the city center at this price range.

Par contre des nuisances sonores insupportables venant de la rue et pire encore des clients sans gênent écoutant de la techno à fond sans que cela n'inquiète personne. Après avoir prouvé que le paiment auptrès de HOTELS.COM a bel et bien été reglé lors de l 'enregistrement comme a l accoutumée, mon passager a pu pfrendre son vol.. Ce qui a été dommageable pour ce voyageur quia passé un mauvais séjour hélas à cause de cet incident. Il faudra al avenir que ces receptionnistes se professionalisent afin d eviter une tension qui aurait pu etre evité absolument. Merci

Leave the shower running for a minute or ten for hot water to flow. Clean. One lift up/down, which was fun at check out. The breakfast is good (bread, tea, yogurt, crepe, fruit salad) and the staff are eager to assist and please (made to measure omelettes).

What RUBBISH, I had to go up and down with my pregnant wife, in a foreign land looking for alternative accomodation. This hotel is just JUNK and RUBBISH

- gabriele (8/5): buon rapporto qualità prezzo ma troppi scarafaggi - il rapporto tra qualità e prezzo è buono. La camera spaziosa, confortevole e ben arredata. Il personale di servizio in camera è molto gentile. La colazione è collocata all'ultimo piano e gode di un panorama molto bello. Il buffet della colazione tuttavia è scarso e deludente. Il grosso problema sono gli scarafaggi (della specie Blattella germanica) che invadono letteralmente la stanza. Ho segnalato diverse volte il problema e hanno trattato la stanza con insetticida, ma il problema è dell'edificio intero e necessita di una bella disinfestazione complessiva. Non è accettabile in una struttura del genere dormire con gli scarafaggi nel letto.

- 281philippem (6/5): A good hotel in Tana - I stayed a whole week at this hotel. It is well situated, close to all interesting places. Rooms are large and modern as the hotel is only few years old. The view form the 5th floor (restaurant) on the capitale is unbelievable. As compared to Hotel Colbert, old and expensive, this hotel is the best deal in town in terms of price/quality. Also a quite place during the night. Agree that the surrounding is not very attractive but this is a capitale of one of the poorest countries. Staff is nice, need to learn but it's OK. In-room service is free of charge ! For Antananarivo, a good hotel I can recommend

- fabiofio2019 (4/5): No quality - Let s start to say that for Tana is a good place but is too expensive for the service offered . Rooms are big enough BUT roach into the bathroom , cover bed dirty ( i show to the housekeeping mngr but she did nothing ) , No shower gel and only one little soap, tv only few channels and internet connection very unstable . Restaurant: they dnt serve any kind of alcohol , the breakfast is poor and after 8.00 No one refill the line and set up tables for other guests. Payment : stîll charge 5% for payment by c/c . Staff : reception kind and helpful. Location : central
- UK Traveller (6/5): Business standard accommodation - Hotel is located in a nest of back streets a few hundred metres from the main road that circles the city centre. Taxi from the airport takes about 30 minutes at night and an hour during the daytime traffic. Reception was reasonably efficient though had to return for a wifi password. Rooms are a reasonable size, have tea/coffee facilities as well as a fridge/mini-bar, and those on the higher floors, especially at the back, have a bit of a view. Shower and toilet facilities are strangely in different rooms. The shower rooms have been recently updated and feel modern, less so the rest but still a business standard hotel. The doors are fitted with alarms that are easy to trigger accidentally, so it's possible to get woken up by such accidents elsewhere on the floor during the night. Breakfast is a basic continental offering on the top floor. There is air conditioning, but it could only be switched on or off and seemed to be set at a constant 23 celsius. Worth noting that once you leave the hotel's front door you're in a chaotic environment where many of the pavements double as street markets.
- 543jerryr (2/5): Mr - The hotel is well situated and room in acceptable condition, the resto is situated on top of the building, breakfast is null; whatever you order beside the offered bread and butter and bits of fruits has to be paid on top; i was charged extra for two eggs. The resto also offer dinner but alcohol is not served because of the religious conviction of the owner. Ifever you want to have your wine, you can tip somebody to buy it outside and have it hidden in your room.
- doctorbird41 (8/5): Perfectly fine - I have to give this hotel high marks particularly based on where it is. Tana is not known for great hotels, but this is simple, to the point, and very amenable. Room is large and spacious; cost is reasonable; a/c, wifi, hot water all good to go as well as international channels; breakfast is nice with fresh fruit and juice; and the staff is super friendly. Have no fear. This place is also centrally located..a bit noisy.
- jlbecking (6/5): Not for single women - This hotel is clean, has a friendly staff, very comfortable beds; the rooms are simple but adequate; wifi is good. The top floor has a dining room and outdoor terraces overlooking Tana. Lovely place to relax but there are better places to eat in town. The major drawback was the clientele...mostly men from SE Asia and the south Pacific whose behavior toward women was rude and aggressive. I've stayed here twice and have had many unpleasant encounters. I would advise single women to look elsewhere which is sad since the management couldn't be more charming and accommodating.
