- Nilufa (10/5): A home away from home — right in the heart of Dhaka! - We recently stayed at the Platinum Grand in Banani and cannot recommend it highly enough. Nestled right in the middle of Banani's vibrant streets, the location alone is a huge draw - but it was everything else that made this stay truly special. The location is genuinely unbeatable. Everything you could possibly need is right on your doorstep - restaurants, cafés, and shops in every direction. I made a daily ritual of strolling to Aarong, a beautiful Bangladeshi lifestyle and clothing store just a 10-minute walk away (or a breezy 3-minute rickshaw ride if you prefer!), and I could have happily shopped there every single day. For food, the options are truly endless: Burger King directly opposite the hotel, KFC, Herfy, Koi The, Kavazo, Peyala - and that's just scratching the surface. Whether you're after a quick bite or a leisurely meal, you'll never be stuck for choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely outstanding- warm, attentive, and wonderfully fluent in English, which was a genuine lifesaver for my children who don't speak any at all. We made full use of everything the hotel had to offer - the rooftop pool, the gym, the sauna, and the laundry service (which, impressively, was returned same day). Every facility was immaculate, and the servicing throughout our stay was prompt and efficient. The breakfast spread kept the whole family happy morning after morning - no small feat! A particular highlight for families travelling with children: the hotel offers a meet-and-greet at the airport with dedicated protocol handling, which made arriving in Dhaka completely stress-free. It's that kind of thoughtful, end-to-end service that sets Platinum Grand apart. Prices were fair, the rooms were spotless, and the entire experience felt genuinely welcoming. This will absolutely be our base every time we visit Dhaka. The reception and entrance were undergoing renovation during our stay - but this is absolutely nothing for future guests to worry about. By the time we were leaving it was all coming together beautifully, and the finished result looks set to be stunning. Anyone visiting now will simply get to enjoy the upgrade. We can't wait to return and see it in all its glory!

- lilianm376 (10/5): A Great Place to Stay in Dhaka - I stayed at Platinum Grand for almost three weeks on a business trip to Dhaka. Everyone there made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's attention to personal matters made a huge difference for me. From complimentary water bottles replenished daily in my room to offering me my morning cappuccino for free because I didn't use the breakfast buffet, to frequent checks on me to see if I needed anything or had any requests, Platinum Grand staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed every day. The hotel restaurant made it very easy for me to enjoy my meals without having to venture outside the hotel after long busy work days. The restaurant has one of the most extensive menus I've ever seen at a hotel before. And it's open 24 hours, a unique feature in any hotel restaurant. I travel a lot within the US and internationally, and I think Platinum Grand restaurant is the first one I saw that's open for dining and room service 24/7. Everything I ordered from that menu was delicious: from Asian, Indian and Bangladeshi, to continental dishes, everything was amazing, and the portion sizes were great. The waiters took the time to welcome me and to check on me and whether I needed anything special. Housekeeping was great and consistent every single day. All in all, I had a wonderful experience staying close to three weeks at Platinum Grand, and I strongly recommend it for any visitors to Dhaka.

The service was excellent and couldn't do enough for you making it a very pleasant stay. Very safe with good security outside. Very clean room with excellent facilities. Nice hot showers, very clean bathrooms and an excellent selection of toiletries. Loved the breakfast! Brilliant you can have curry for breakfast! Platinum has it’s own well equiped gym and a bar on the roof top which I truly enjoyed during my stay. I’d definitely book this hotel for my next trip to Dhaka and would recommend it to my collegues as well

Employee wise from the front desk reception, security, housekeeping and F&B are great guests relation officers. They are super friendly & attentive to your needs. I love the brewed coffee on the 3rd floor F&B prepared Mr Ashiq, Miss Tuli and the rest of the team. Miss Sharmin, Mr Imran and the entire front desk team are always pleasing and helpful to guests. One of my best stay hotel in the city of Banani, Dhaka Bangladesh. Will definitely come back again for the stay, coffee and food.

This hotel is very secured, has its own underground secured parking and rooftop swimming pool and well equipped Gym. I love their foods from their own rooftop and restaurant dining. I must say hotel is very clean and it maintain acceptable standards of hygiene. Price is also competitive.

Hasna Hena give perfect service at bteakfast! She is really nice and always smiling. If I come back to Dhaka I would definitely go to Platinum Grand hotel again.

Staff were courteous and helpful in every respect - quality of hotel decor and fittings was very good. Excellent comfortable room, and food was well produced from varied menu. Rooftop pool was very pleasant and clean. Excellent value for money.

Rooms are a good size with everything you should need. Clean and comfortable. Restaurant great food selection to suit all tastes. Excellent location not too far from the airport and we used the hotels chauffeur service to pick us up and return back ( no issues ) Always lovely to be greeted with a warm welcome here and valued as returning guests.

The facilities and location was great. What really does make your stay here even better is the staff. From bellboy to management the level of service was excellent. The restaurant is superb with a varied menu to suit all tastes, the food from the roof top pool area was superb too. We did not eat anywhere else in Dhaka because we were so happy with the quality and quantity. Absolutely nothing to be unhappy about.
- Alex (10/5): A perfect stay in Dhaka - Hotel location is very good, in the nicer part of Dhaka and not too far away from the airport either. The staff here can’t do enough for you, they are so helpful and welcoming. We are an unmarried couple and stayed in the same room together with no problems at all. There is also a rooftop bar where you can buy beer, albeit all food and drink is quite expensive. The rooms are spacious, however we booked a king suite which I wouldn’t recommend, as there really doesn’t seem to be much difference between this and the regular room which our friend was staying in. The beds are clean and comfortable, and we slept well every night. The showers are hot, all products are provided and towels are provided too. Room service is done timely and efficiently. Breakfast is excellent, and there is always a large range of choices available, including vegetarian options. I had a poorly tummy and the staff kindly made me special ginger teas every morning. Wi-Fi works excellently throughout the whole building. We didn’t use the pool area or the fitness centre, but both areas looked very well maintained. Overall, a fantastic stay in Dhaka and one which we would recommend to anyone visiting the country. N/A

The Bistro has great food, the fitness centre was well stocked, and the pool was great. A stark difference from a large chain hotel. Pass on Sheraton, Hilton or others and stay here.

Provided good recommendations for local places to eat, and stored luggage etc. Food services are good and reasonably priced. Found the pillows slightly too firm - and four all the same on the bed. Could improve by having a range on the bed to allow guests to choose comfort level. Nitpicking - all in all was a very comfortable and pleasant stay

Highly Recommend! - The hotel offers great value for money with its affordable rates and excellent service. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view. They have a fully equipped gym, steam room, sauna, and a rooftop swimming pool. There is also an amazing rooftop lounge called TRIBE, love the 360 degree views. The other restaurant is 24 hours open called Terra Bistro, the foods top notch. The breakfast served there is delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. The place has everything you need, and definitely recommend this place if you’re in Dhaka!

The entire staff, right from the front desk, room service, restaurant staff to the security team at the gate, were polite, professional and efficient.

- Archit (4/5): - I booked Suite Room as shown at the time of booking but reaching hotel we were informed that never had any Suite Room in the hotel so cannot provide. Further I had booked my room for 3 Adults but since could not provide any Suite Room, they charged me USD20.00 per night for extra person. I think that the fault here is from Hotels.com since they have wrongly informed the category on their website.
