- Hussein (8/5): Typical French hotel, friendly welcome, lovey dinner - Parking out side, on our route.
- Philip (10/5): Fantastic food! More than made up for the lack of a bath!! - Good location - off street parking. No bath-tub, despite showing photos of one in the scroll.
- Mike (8/5): Very good - after 100 km on velo coming from Orange this place was paradise, first a refreshing swim in the drome underneath the bridge coming into town, then an amazing mouthwatering dinner which soon filled up my body with enough energy for the next day 100 km , the owner lady was fantastic, even with language barrier we managed to communicate the important things, had a peaceful night and some lovely breakfast should definitely learn some french, it's beautiful to hear "fillet de boeuf au poivre" instead of pepper steak, the first just sounds much more delicious
- Paul (7/5): Good - Very comfortable beds, clean and adequate room. Friendly and flexible owners. I was pleased they provided us with an early dash breakfast. Good food and very convenient. The evening meal was tasty but on the small side. I should have taken the menu.
- S&s (7/5): Good hotel for a one night stay - The hotel offered dinner at the hotel, which was wonderful after driving all day! The hotel was pretty basic, but clean.
- John (2/5): Very poor out of date hotel - All round very poor expensive out of date so old no heating too room freezing cold all night poor service
Don’t stop here waste your money Better hotels for the money pictures on web page incorrect makes it look modern no restaurant on Sundays breakfast poor have to pre order just poor all round felt ripped off
- Slawomir (3/5): Poor -
- Vicki (10/5): A comfortable little stop over. - Well located and in a nice quiet setting. The bedroom and breakfast room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good, bedrooms comfortable and we enjoyed a nice dinner on the terrace. The hotel could benefit from a spruce up in the front terrace and entrance area.
- Darryl (9/5): Superb - A very nice place, run by a very nice lady.
- Frank (8/5): - Alles gut
- Gustavo (8/5): - It was great that even having arrived late in the evening, the property owner was kind enough to have the kitchen prepare a 3-course meal for us
- Verified traveler (8/5): This Hotel might have been soulless, but it isnt! - I am a big lad and autistic and speak slow/little French. Jacques is being great with me, very understanding and patient, and sorted through my needs on arrival, but is not fluent in English so it took time, which Jacques allowed. I arrived slightly early. Jacques was fine.
Milk isn't in the room for brews - but I asked and Jacques offered to provide.
Gap initially is a bit soulless, but look around and you can find what you hope for. It does need looking for though.
Room 22 was big, clean, well appointed and accessible next to the elevator. The shower is big and walk in, so very accessible. but although other part of the room was spacious, the toilet cubicle is a little squeezed.
There is a kettle. And a fridge and the room didn't overheat. If you need a safe, don't ask the word "safe". I keep making that mistake.
- L6961XWiand (8/5): Janfait - One night accommodation randomly chosen. We were the only guests this night. As other commentators have noted, the reception was not very welcoming. Visit to minimal bar for a drink saw unsmiling almost surly service. With some trepidation ate in the restaurant. Chose cheaper of the two set menus. Service (same staff) was excellent, with smiles. Food first class. House wine en carafe was good.
Room (Lavender) renovated, small and clean. Bathroom good and plenty of hot water. Good bed. Nearby railway station or road not obtrusively noisy.
Breakfast quite adequate. Checkout friendly with no problems.
- 708myriamr (4/5): I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT - Disappointing,.The room is acceptable, on the first floor without lift, difficult stairs, the breafast was good but the coffee was horrible, the price is too hign, they are not very wellcoming. I did not have lunch or dinner there because the menu did not please me
- Verified traveler (6/5): Rustig hotel. - Eenvoudig hotel, vriendelijke mensen.
- peter (6/5): Ok övernattning - OK övernattning vid bilande i Europa. Rent och bra mat... Men tråkigt område.
- harald (4/5): - Det var ikke aircondision og det var 38 grader ikke heis med rom i 2 etage
- Glenvar (8/5): Got better as the stay progressed - After a rather curt welcome and a walk via the restaurant and up a long flight of stairs, we arrived at the room which was in complete darkness, and wondered if we had made a bad mistake. Having opened the blinds and realised that the bathroom was completely refurbished, our spirits rose, and rose much further over a very competitively priced and excellent dinner in the garden (it was very hot weather). We stayed 2 nights and the previously unsmiling proprietor became much more animated as time went on. There are a couple of issues with the hotel in relation to its location. It's within 25 metres of the Lyon to Avignon railway (not the high speed line) and the trains are noticeable during the night, although not too frequent. Also, there is what appears to be a minor road outside the hotel, but actually it is one of the routes for cars from Livron to the opposite bank of the Rhone, and it is extremely busy from about 0630 until 0830. Thus, if at the front of the hotel, expect traffic noise during the week. Nevertheless, would definitely stay again.
- chilton (4/5): Very Disappointing - Second overnight stop en route from Channel to Provence. Perhaps we had been spoiled by our first stop (Le Val Moret at Magnant which cost about the same) but I would rate this stop as distinctly below average. The service was almost non-existent and the staff very abrupt. Although there was a large secure parking area we were concerned that the children playing hide and seek round the cars and shovelling sand from a nearby mound might damage the car. The bedroom was large but tired with various oddments of furniture. The one redeeming feature was the quality and price of the evening meal. However, the hotel guests’ dining room was in a small dark room off the main dining room and adjacent to the ladies toilet. Breakfast was fine. Checkout arrangements were odd. Got the feeling the hotel had seen better days. In suburb of large busy village. Won’t be going again.
- Beautifulworld4me (8/5): Lots of stairs but nice ! - We were arriving from San Francisco and had left Lyon with our rental car to go South about 200km, but as we drove, we realized that we needed to stop, find a place to eat and sleep and call it a day. We ended up at the Hotel des Voyageurs, bearing the good omen of being a "Logis de France", usually the symbol of quality. So there we stopped, got the last room available (upstairs, lots of them and no lift!) it was very nice, in Provencal pastel colors, with 2 beds, one couch and a good shower. At 7:30pm they start serving dinner so we went downstairs to the nice restaurant area and were fed good comfortable French food that got us to eat a little too much... but what the heck, when in France...
- R0b28 (6/5): Good Value - Spent one night here. The room (Tournesol) was clean and a good size and there was plenty of hot water etc. The bed was better than most. We had the €15 evening meal which was good value as was the breakfast. The staff were not over friendly (perhaps tiered from the end of the season) and we found ourselves locked out after a walk at 9.30 in the evening. For an overnight stop it was all we needed.
- Tricia60 (10/5): Just what you want from a Logis! - Spent 1 night here half board on way down south. Huge family room for 2 of us. Sparkling white sheets and towels ( and table napkins). Modern large bathroom.
We ate outside on terrace. Several local people as well as hotel guests. Very friendly efficient young waitress. Food was traditional French cooking. Excellent meal.
Great value for money. Only 6 rooms so book in advance!
Hotel is next to railway station. Efficient double glazing. About 15 mins walk into centre of town. It's well worth walking up to old town which is perched on a hill. Terrific views of Rhone valley and mountains.
