Guest Reviews
- Timothy (9/5): This was a clean, quiet and friendly place to stay on a long trip across Nebraska. - Small and quiet with friendly staff Breakfast was limited.
- Benjamin (8/5): -
- Branden (10/5): -
- Ronald (10/5): Sandhills - Very quiet. Breakfast choices poor.
- Robert (10/5): Hidden gem in a small town. - Breakfast was as expected. Continental. But the staff and the cleanliness and room size and comfort exceeded my expectations. And being right next to a busy road, we never heard road traffic! All in all, a great stay.
- Tapp (5/5): -
- Jill (10/5): - Very clean facility.
- Todd (9/5): Wish I'd have stayed here sooner. - Large room and very clean compared to chain hotels Breakfast offering was slim.
- Jacquie (10/5): - Room was very clean and didn’t have any odors. The front desk girl was very polite and helpful. There was a cold breakfast with cereal, bagels, toast, etc. which was good.. Although I prefer a warm breakfast with a protein source. Also our TV didn't work which really wasn't a big deal since we were only in the room after 9 pm.

- August (8/5): I'd stay here again. - No problems with wi-fi. Good lighting in room: for working at table, for reading in bed, and in general. Temperature control worked well. Friendly and pleasant staff, both when I checked in and when I checked out. Mattress a little less firm than I'd have liked, but certainly not so soft as to need replacing.
- Braun Jr (10/5): Great! Clean! Beautiful! - Clean! Generous sized rooms. Everything worked properly! Maybe a little pricey?
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Martinez (9/5): If you a looking for clean, quiet motel at a fair price, this should be on your short list!! - Very quiet, clean motel. It only has 20 rooms so it's very intimate. I like the location and has all the amenities needed for travelling for work. Big shout out. I am a tea drinker, and I have stayed at 4 star hotels that didn't have as good a selection as you had in your lobby! Also didn't make me run water through a Keurig (which makes the tea taste a little like coffee), but had a full kettle in the lobby. They have a snack machine, a soda machine, and ice maker. Also for those complaining about the lack of pool or fitness centers, if that's your jam, go down the road 18 miles to a big chain. I like to spend my money at a local business where all the money stays in the community. As others have stated, the breakfast is minimal. No I didn't get to make my own waffle, but they did not send me on my way with an empty stomach. I had an english muffin. They also had bagels, bread for toast, cereal, juice and coffee. While I would love a fancier spread, the size of the motel means they must have a tiny staff so they can't be expected to be a mini iHop! The price is a little high for what it is, but having stayed at almost all the accommodations in the area, it is kind of the going rate and a little less than the chains.

- James (8/5): - This was my first visit to this property. It was the only decent looking hotel in Atkinson. I asked about getting my triple AAA discount upon check-in and was promptly scolded for booking through a third-party agency with that being the reason they would not adjust my rate. They told me I could’ve saved money if I booked directly. I love to bundle my travels on Orbitz so I can track them and am disappointed with properties treat me poorly because they have to pay a commission. The room was extremely clean, even though this is nowhere near a new property. The room they put me in, felt like it had been refreshed and it presented very well. There was an overall mildew smell in the property that many places seem to have when they have been around for decades, but it was not overpowering. The breakfast was disappointing. A true continental experience. The only offerings were various breads to toast or a cold cereal. The peanut butter that I scraped out of a small package, had separated to oil and dried product for the only game in town. When I checked out, the person that came up to help me appeared to be a housekeeper. She struggled with the computer for several minutes and was unable to print a receipt and apologized for not knowing the system very well. I would stay at this property again, simply because the price was reasonable, and it was extremely clean.
- Amy (10/5): - Clean, quiet, comfortable, well maintained, friendly people.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Will stay again when going through the area.
- Jason (10/5): - Perfect stay
- Andrew (10/5): - Pleasant staff, quick check-in. Beds were comfortable and the heating kept the room nicely warm during a cold snap in the weather. Breakfast was simple but very adequate. We were pleased with our stay and will come again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Very Clean and nice hotel. Staff was very friendly! Wished breakfast was a little substantial.
- McKenzie (6/5): Clean and Convenient - Not many options around. Clean and
Convenient.
- Danette (9/5): Superb - The room was comfortable. The room was quiet and it was easy to sleep in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was priced fairly. For breakfast we were served donuts, yogurt and bagels.
We could have had oatmeal and different kinds of cereal and some fruit would have been great.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Check went well until desk clerk's family available attention focused more on them then get us checked in, lack of help from staff when come and leaving, had to push and pull the one luggage cart through doors myself. Would think if you leave tag out for room service they would refill coffee. Morning breakfast was cinnamon bagle with hair including. Hear great things from other runners that have done Cowboy200/100 that comes through this town. Well everything else was warm inviting, but not this hotel, glad you got few dollars to run your family daycare service and home. Next we will stay farther away from start and just drive by know we will be at a better place after our run. Guess it's good you are only hotel in town, you don't have the standards to stay in busy if there were an other option.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very pleased with cleanliness. Rooms very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but tasty.
- Carl (10/5): - One of the most up to date places I've stayed at in awhile. Well maintained with easy check in.
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erica (6/5): - When I went to check in they did not get my reservation that I booked under Expedia. Luckily they had plenty of rooms.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful
- Darlene (7/5): Good - It was just ok Not much there in the town
- Karin (6/5): - Breakfast is not worth it. The bed felt like it was time to be retired.
- Alicia (8/5): Very good - It was quiet so I was able to sleep during the day. The breakfast didn't have much selection. It was disappointing.
- Michelle (10/5): - A cute little motel with comforts of home
- Gary (4/5): - To expensive for what is available
- Rebecca (7/5): Clean and comfortable motel. - Very clean motel with friendly staff. I was accidentally billed twice by the staff but this was corrected later on when I spoke with the motel manager.
- Sarah (10/5): - .
- Gordon (9/5): Just an overnight stay on our way to South Dakota - Cleanliness & convenient place right on the highway Breakfast - not too impressive
- Carolyn (8/5): - The Sandhills Guest House was very clean and the rooms for spacious. The beds were comfortable. The front desk was helpful when we checked in and helped us find a local park for the kids to play. Our only downfall is the room did not have enough towels for 4 people (there were only
2) and when we went to the desk in the morning nobody was working.
- Chere (6/5): - We did like the breakfast and thought everything was very good.
- Teresa (7/5): Good -
- Peter (10/5): - Very cordial manager -kind and ver accommodating
- Robert (8/5): - A nice stay
- Robert (8/5): - Comfortable
- Deborah (10/5): - This was probably the cleanest, most comfortable and friendliest hotel ever!!! Great place to stay in the Nebraska Sand Hills…
- Rebecca (7/5): It was a clean motel with a friendly staff. - Breakfast consisted of a choice of bagels or toast and coffee, milk or tea.
- Marvin (6/5): Very nice, clean hotel. - Checked in to find that our room was ADA, without a bathtub. We asked for a different room but were told none were available. It would have been nice to know when we reserved the room. We were also disappointed in the so-called ‘continental breakfast’. There were two types of cereal, several bagels, juice, and coffee. I guess we’d gotten spoiled by all the other hotel breakfasts during our trip.
That said, the hotel was very comfortable, very clean, had a great bed, and close parking. The staff was very nice, and friendly
- Holly (10/5): Great Stay! - Nice place. Well maintained. Helpful staff.
- Grady (10/5): - Very nice hotel for a little town. New updates and cozy. Would definitely stay again.
- Angelique (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): - We ha ve no complaints. Service and checkin were quick and friendly. Room was clean, staff was very helpful when we had a change in plans and had to alter our time of stay. Will certainly stay here again. Very reasonable rates!
- Beth (8/5): Very nice. - Very nice no frills hotel. The friendliest staff ever encountered. Clean, spacious room.
Breakfast was marginal.
- Cale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jodi (10/5): - Nice quaint place
- Mark (10/5): The best. - Very well kept room , very clean.
All around a great place.
- Karen (10/5): - Immaculate and very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.
