- Patricia (8/5): - The breakfast was acceptable. The coffee was very good.Good chooses of teas and hot chocolate .?
- Elizabeth (7/5): Hotel was nice and location good Price for room sucked - Location I have stay here many times and the room price is usually very reasonable but since it a graduation weekend the price for a room is three time more. That is very unethical
- guadalupe (10/5): - Very clean
- Cara (7/5): -

- Tawfik (6/5): Okay - Cleanliness, calm environment, and location No employees at the desk

- Susan (10/5): -
- Jeremiah (9/5): Convenient with skilled staff - The AC in our room was not working when we arrived. The front-desk clerk came up, popped open the AC system, and was able to reconnect the necessary bits immediately. The AC worked great all night -- her skills and experience made all the difference. It would have been nice if there were an electric car charger in the area.
- JOSELUIS (10/5): - The location is close to restaurant, shopping, and Iowa University. The room was clean, comfortable.
- Michelle (8/5): -
- Dominique (4/5): I was very disappointed in the price we paid to what we received. - The rooms were decent sized. The shower didn't have much pressure, the breakfast was not good at all, we ended up just leaving to go get breakfast & coffee somewhere else d/t the kids not even wanting to eat it.

- L2772FKjoet (2/5): Never booking Sleep Inn & Suites Ames w Negative Nancy as manager - Sleep Inn and suites is one of thr worst horrible hotels that we've ever stayed at especially with Negative Nancy as their manager who can care less about their customers. Never booking again guaranteed!
- Angela (9/5): Repeat visitor. - Modern, clean hotel, great value and location, decent breakfast. The staff were so friendly, helpful and just fantastic all around.
- Pam (10/5): -

- Nancy (9/5): A very comfortable stay with the best price. - Clean and comfortable at a good price. Very comfortable beds. The clocks in the room were all different times. Not a big problem but a nuisance. The traction tape in the shower was half off and half on. Could cause a problem.’
- KFNELSON (10/5): -
- Hoeppner (2/5): If you want to be asked by several homeless people and drug addicts outside for money you will not be able to walk aroun - The fact that this property is located directly across from the Capitol building is stunning it's amazing but you can't go outside in this area it's not safe The moment I walked outside I had homeless people and drug addicts approaching me asking me for money in the parking lot I should've really read the reviews before staying at this place I had a buddy of mine book another property and I left immediately and don't you dare trying to walk around downtown you'll be asked for money several times just taking a 10 minute walk.

- christine (6/5): Get what you pay for, but regardless staff should not enter your room without knocking especially before check out - Location to the university
Cost
Breakfast Housekeeper walked in without knocking 2 hours before check out, didn’t even apologize
Comforters are really noisy, every movement from either bed was annoying to the point would wake the other up
Windows must be old bc not busy bc even one car in the lot sounded like a train
- Carver (8/5): -
- Ana (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Melody (10/5): It was good. - Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast
- Aaron (10/5): Perfect overnight good breakfast - Perfect place for me to stay after long drive Parking was full with several trucks and trailers.
- Guy (10/5): Would stay again and maybe spend more time to use the fitness room and pool. - Breakfast was very good! Location was great as I had some business to address at ISU. Lighting could be a little brighter in the room. Parking was tough since I got back to the hotel around 10PM.
- Lisa (7/5): - The breakfast was really good. There was a loud rumble noise and made it feel like the bed was vibrating. Didn’t get much sleep.
- Helen (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Clean, comfortable, convenient location -
- ejh4isu (8/5): Quite the surprise outside of my normal hhonors trek. - First let me say I'm a Hilton Honors loyallist, but the deal I got on the room was just too good to be beat and it was a long term stay. So I booked the 2 days, which turned into 3, then 5, then 7. And ultimately, can think of almost NOTHING that was wrong with this place for a 2of4star (per wiki, I can't verifi how hotel "stars are given out" hotel. The staff- every one of them, were friendly. I even had room cleaners come into my room when they saw I was in their during clean just to chew the fact and frankly I enjoyed this. True, the free breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was free! Anything free I temper my expectations. You got your choice of juice, coffee, cereal, eggs, sauage, biscuits, waffle. A really great little breakfast jook for a free breakfast. The entire internet was equipped with high speed internet and I forgot to run an Ookla but it was FAST, I was regulalry downloading and upgrading software files while logging into my mac server at home. No for the area. Reall nothing around here except other hotels. There is a Dollar Tree that just opened up for quickie snacks, and a new mexican restaurant not too far away that I would consider pretty bueno. I had payment issues almost every day b/c I'm an internetal traveler all the time and my cards were always getting fraud locked, the hotel was great to work with me. The ONLY reall problem (and if this is the ONLY problem guys we're going good - get rid of your automated food/soda dispenser. It doesn't work 1/2 the time, no one is there to give you your money back so seriously, why bring on the headache? You don't even own it Chuck that thing when there's a 24/7 mart just outside with NORMAL priced food.

- Anderson (10/5): - Breakfast was good although having bagels would be a good addition, Staff was great and beds were super comfortable Sound travelled between rooms (could be due to having an adjoining room). USB ports for charging would be a nice addition

- Tammy (10/5): Great place to stay!! - It was close to restaurants and right off the highway. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. We were in town to for a basketball game to watch our son play. It was a great choice of a hotel. My only complaint was the tv remote did not work at all. I could called to the front and asked for a new remote to be able to watch tv but we got back to our room about 9:30PM and I decided to just go to bed instead.
- Miriam (7/5): A good value hotel in a good location. - Rooms were clean. Good value. Location close to campus. It’s a little dark and tired looking. Breakfast choices could be a little better.
