• Laetitia (9/5): Looked shabby outside but exceeded expectations - Although the building and some furnishings are dated, the important things like the shower head and bed are all updated. Everything was super tidy and clean. None of the grunginess that you see in most motels.

• Joanna (9/5): Better than expected on all fronts, at this price point. - Nicely updated and very clean. Bed and bedding was better than expected and very comfortable. Room was spacious with a couch and two good sitting chairs. Location was quiet, and I was easily able to park my 40’ truck and trailer on the street. Rollie’s Restaurant is right behind the motel and serves good nutritious food. For the price I will be back when making my long journey to the West Coast.
• Alison (10/5): Best value motel we’ve stayed in in years. Will be our go-to in Hope every time now. - This motel knocks it out of the park in so many ways. Incredible value, very clean, lovely accommodating man at reception, and the best touch was a sofa AND two arm chairs in the room. Nothing.

• John (10/5): A perfect place for a traveler who wants an excellent bed, comfortable room with a great homey restaurant right next doo - This is a non-pretentious straight-up motel that checks all of our boxes for basic travel needs. It is a great place to wind up for a stint in Vancouver after travelling from points inland. And Rolly’s restaurant is right next door. The owners are a treasure. That there aren’t more locations 🙂

• William (9/5): Clean, comfortable, reasonable price and quiet night - We appreciated the courtesy of our manager in registering. The room was clean, comfortable and all we needed to get a good night's rest after a long day of driving. Restaurant conveniently located right behind the Motel. Food was excellent and service was also very good. Very quiet night. Would stay here again.

• Aura Lucia (9/5): Very friendly welcoming and easy stay - Great location for downtown walks and sunset views. Although the room was very clean, coming to the room was not good. Walls need a coat of paint, the stairs to the room look horribly dirty. However the planters with the lovely healthy geraniums make the place much better.

• Apollonia (8/5): Great for short stay - Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Great for a one night stay. Location was easy to find. Parking is free and ample (on site and street). We have stayed with this hotel many times. The location is usually nice and quiet. This time, unfortunately, we heard train horns a few times throughout the night. We were able to go back to sleep but it wasn't as peaceful. Also, the hot water tab in the shower gets too hot. Hopefully the owner will look into this.

Showed front desk person one .I had more cheaper but he acted shocked said this is not right.He said I only have 2 beds for 2 people.I said I can go to a different Motel. He said no I will give it to you.Then went to room with us ,put a fitted sheet on top of the bed,said if you use this bed you will be charged extra. Was tired wanted a cup of coffee. Asked front desk person for one more pkg of coffee . {for the morning}He said we usually only give one. He gave me one ,seemed angry. Wifi was dodgy.Didn't feel welcome.

• Eric (2/5): I'm very glad I waited to see whether I liked the place, before booking a later return. - Distance from the car to the room was completely absurd. All exits of the building on the side of the parking lot were emergency only, which meant you had to walk halfway around the building and come in via the lobby, followed by a possibly long walk to your room. Staff claimed the second-floor room was "only seven steps up" from the lobby level, by which I guess she was applying a creative interpretation of four steps down followed by eleven steps up. (No elevators. Handicapped people should not touch this place with a 100-meter pole.) I wouldn't have minded the stairway that much, but I do very much mind being lied to about it. All rooms faced out into a bizarre pseudo-tropical-paradise area with an indoor pool, in which kids' screams echoed loudly until 10:15 at night.

• Seniortraveller76 (10/5): Clean and Welcoming - My family of six adults aged 22 to 82 shared two units at the Best Continental Motel in Hope, BC for one night in July. We all were impressed with the way the older building had been upgraded and maintained. It was exceptionally clean, recently painted, had updated bathroom fixtures and mattresses.The rooms had fridges, small microwaves. a small table and air conditioners. Outside the unit there was a small seating unit. Given it's location in the small town all the facilities for food and shopping were nearby. The manager was very welcoming and helpful. We all agreed it deserved a top rating.

• Peter (6/5): Satisfactory - There is no breakfast room. The motel, however, adjoins Rolly's restaurant which opens at 6 A.M and it serves a good breakfast at resonable prices. The location is excellent. For the price, nothing is out of line.
