Guest Reviews
- Moira (10/5): Magical - There is nothing not to love about this place! It's a gem- a one off - a treasure.
The history and loving restoration of the buildings are truly awe inspiring from room decor, the secret gardens, the turtles, the lucky cats, the swallow's nest in reception, the activities on offer but what makes this place magical are the hosts-the kindest family! In my 60 years of staying in hotels/air B&B s around the world, never have I met such generous souls- nothing is too much for them- kindness at its best. My husband who has many health problems became very ill during our stay, and though I asked only for a slightly later check out time to get him to the car (a bit of a walk!), the landlady (I'm so sorry, I never got your name!), sprang into action and called Luigi to help; I won't go into detail, but it involved Luigi taking my suitcase to my car and driving the car into the piazza, then dashing to and from the hotel to bring us a chair, walking stick and an umbrella to use to get my husband to the car, dashing back to the hotel to do his work, and dashing back to help us manipulate the medieval steps and alleys which finally brought us to the car (this all took approximately 40 minutes). All this, and we were only guests for one night! I have promised myself that I will go back one day to thank them properly and to go on one of the wonderful guided walks they offer. We have stayed in Pisciotta and the Marina on and off for 14 years, and this experience, though bittersweet, will be added to my chest of reasons why I love this magical place. Grazie Mille! That I didn't have more time there.
- Tomáš (10/5): - Accomodation in very authentic house and village in the hill above the seaside with beautiful view. Guests have access to special garden full of lemons where they can relax. Owner is very nice and she prepare excellent breakfasts with homemade products. Position is in the center, so everywhere is near.
- Michal (10/5): Great for authentic Italian getaway in a less touristy area. - A wonderful place with history, a very kind and helpful owner, and a delicious breakfast. Very clean. I highly recommend it for a peaceful, authentic Italian getaway in a less touristy area—you can really feel the true atmosphere!

- Nicholas (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay.⁰ - Delicious breakfast. Ideal town for a relaxing break as there are no cars. Stiff walk down to the marina and back. Actually quite a lot of old buildings in the village I didn't get round to seeing. I recommend a lemon granita in the cafe.
- Jo (10/5): - Great place to stay. Really comfortable room in a beautiful house with so much history. We were travelling by bicycle and the bikes could be stored inside in the main entrance hallway, which was great. Absolutely amazing breakfast with freshly made cake and lots of other homemade items. Would love to stay again if I was in the area.
- Flora (7/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely restored building in a delightful hill town with tastefully restored and quirky rooms. Serene garden. Exceptional breakfast and friendly family running it. It was our second visit and we'll be back It's a bit of a hike to get to the Albergo with suitcases by foot, but in a way that's just the charm of the place and the town
- Mary (10/5): - Het ontbijt was geweldig!
- Peter (10/5): -
- Kathryn (10/5): - Wonderful stay with warm and welcoming hosts. The building itself is an experience, and it is decorated beautifully.
- Mariaelena (10/5): Gorgeous hill town - Amazing location in historic hill town. Very nice unit. Beautiful views. Great breakfast
- Patrick (10/5): medieval town above a pristine beach. Perfetto! - Luigi and his family are the best. They made me feel welcome and cared for. You could not ask for a better place to stay: tranquillo.
- Vin (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable - Luigi is a wonderful host . Very engaging and informed about the local area . The location is superb and the decor is really unique
- Tamara (8/5): Very good - Luigi and his mum Christina were super helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was by far the best I had in Italy - fresh and varied. The village is fantastic, full.of life but beautiful and authentic and unspoiled. The room decor was perhaps a little dated but that's really a small thing.
- Laura (10/5): Perfecto. - Luigi was a excellent host and helped us with our planning of hike along the Cilento coast. Magical old house, really a museum from the past. Great experience. Charming town.
- Agnieszka (9/5): La Casa sul Blu is a real find - The owners were very personable, recommended good walks in the area, and gave detailed information on how to get to their place without a car. The breakfast was simply wonderful and included home-made olive oil and marmelade as well as local produce. The place is a real find! The only downside, but a very minor one, was the shower in my apartment.
- Inese (9/5): Superb - What a lovely place to stay. Historical and an experience in itself. The host was lovely. Made us a great breakfast! The hospitality was wonderful. Not so easy to find. 🙂
- Yosef (10/5): If youre in the area - come here. You will not regret it - The place itself is a jewl in a very cute town in the mountains. It is like a museum so you get 2 for the price of 1. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy so far and on top of that, the hospitality was above and beyond
- G (9/5): Superb -
- Joan (9/5): In centre of beautiful ful historical hill village overlooking sea - Unique family run old olive oil mill
- Janice (10/5): Simply the best - Most wonderful place to stay. Owners are so helpful, with our luggage and whatever we needed. They even helped when our car had a flat tyre after checking out. Lifesavers. Can not thank them enough. Maybe some glasses in the room but that is all
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - It was beautiful and very comfortable the owners ver kind and friendly
- Charlotte (10/5): A hidden gem in a beautiful area! - We had a wonderful stay here! My sister and I came here with our family a couple of years ago and had been wanting to return ever since. It was exactly as perfect as we remembered. We brought friends this time and they fell in love with it too! It’s located in a beautiful little town and is walking distance to the beach, which is where we spent everyday there. The breakfasts each morning in the garden are a real treat. The food is yummy and you can’t beat enjoying it in the garden with sea views and fruit trees all around. You will also be entertained by the many cute kittens and cats that live outside the hotel. Luigi was such a great host, was attentive to all our needs and gave us many recommendations for food and beaches. This is one of those places I could come back to again and again. Would highly recommend!! Nothing! I wouldn’t change a thing, it was perfect.
- Marcus (10/5): A lovely place in a quaint village. - Great character to the place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Don (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (10/5): Lovely place - Excellent value. Great location. Wonderful staff. Very well located for the centre of Pisciotta and a short walk to the Marina.
- Sue (10/5): Stayed extra days I liked it so much - I stayed extra days I liked it so much. Lovely property very close to the centre of Pisciotta.
- Siba (9/5): Lovely stay - Very nice hotel with beautiful view and gardens. Super friendly staff. Lovely stay.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the town, access to the beach, and the old history of the hotel Parking was a little tricky. Staff was not there when we first arrived
- Glyn (10/5): Rustic delight in a wonderful place - Pisciotta is a jewel. Village... Culture,...and quite possibly the best uncrowded beach ever.
A very old town. This accommodation puts you right into it.
We had a lovely view from a beautifully rustic room
- Geula (8/5): Worth the trip and money - Our room's name is a night in a museum. And it really felt like it.
Great atmosphere. Accommodating staff
Very good breakfast. A bit of a walk from parking. Area.
- Mette (8/5): Very good - Fantastic breakfast
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful historic place in a beautiful town - Beautiful place with great service in a beautiful town.
- Maura (9/5): Lovely, comfortable, super good breakfast - Super breakfast, very attentive, high quality Hard to find a person to open door upon arriving. Spent an hour walking around hill town and trying doors
- Anuj (9/5): Memorable overnight stay in charming Pisciotta - We had a spacious triple room in the main house, very historic with an old olive oil mill on premises and a beautiful private garden
Christina is a very caring and thoughtful host, she served us pastry and refreshments when we arrived late in the afternoon and restaurants were closed for lunch
Terrific breakfast spread Not the property's fault, but given the layout of Pisciotta itself, be prepared for of a haul with bags from your car parking
- Glenn (10/5): Short but Very Sweet - Everything about our short stay was exceptional. Luigi is a wonderful host. He was so informative and helpful. The lodging is beautiful. A step back in time, yet with the modern comforts. Breakfast was above and beyond. Forgetting our umbrellas when we walked down to the marina😂🤣
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super B‘n‘B! - Super B‘n‘B im Herzen der kleinen Stadt. Zimmer und Haus super, Host sehr nett. Würden gerne wieder mal hier her kommen, top!
- Tim (8/5): Very good - It was a traditional property, beautifully
Kept with a fabulous breakfast. The garden was lovely. A 25 mins walk form to the beach and 45 mins walk back up again. The owners made us very welcome. Perhaps the rooms could do with a bit of updating: fridge was broken and it needed a bit of TLC but it didn’t detract from the stay.
- Jenny (9/5): Well worth a visit. - Situated in the hill top town, this Albergo has rooms spread out. Some in the old mill, others near by. Luigi was very helpful with out check in and instructions on how to get to the main house ( do read his instructions on where to park as the closest car park on Google is 150 steep steps up!!). Fantastic breakfast. Well worth a visit to this lovely town and Albergo. Nothing, but do be aware that it is in an old hill top town so be prepared for stairs.
- Gis (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharone (9/5): Great place with lovely people. - Located close to the center and not a lot of stairs. Wonderful breakfast.
- Roosbelinda (10/5): Pure magic! - The location is stunning and the service was spectacular. This was a truly magical experience made possible by everyone at Casa Sul Blu
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment is located in the city center of Pisciotta where the main town square is. In the square there are some pretty cafes and restaurants with delicious pizza. There is also a market and grocery store in the square. The hospitality of Luigio and his mom Kristina was top notch. Luigi is very friendly, responsible and hospitable. The Italian homemade jam made by his mom was exceptionally delicious, a flavor I have not tasted anywhere else before. It was a great pleasure to taste lemons from their garden too. The accommodation has everything you need either for short or for long stays. His family did everything possible to ensure that guests could enjoy their stay by the seaside in the south of Italy on the coast of Cilento. What is very important, our apartment was equipped with a large kitchen and an excellent terrace with flowers, a beautiful view of the garden with fruit and ancient olive trees. I was lucky to get to this place and I will be happy to come back here again.
- Susanne (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (8/5): A great place to explore the Cilento region - The location is perfect, in a beautiful village close to the sea and other beautiful beaches. The closest beach to the property was really nice and not overcrowded. The room is nicely decorated and has a great mattress that offered us a perfect sleep The economy room we stayed is in the basement of a house build on the hill and though it’s has a window overlooking a small yard it might feel a bit walking the stairs down to reach it . Also since the room is small there is not enough space for the luggage
- Aneta (10/5): Exceptional - Great place with a perfect coast view with their own lemon garden. The best breakfast - reserve some time to spend in there :) Very nice host gave us percise direction how to get to the place. We also got great dinner recommendation. If you're looking for unique experiance of old building in even order town - you should definitely go there!
- Natividad (10/5): Exceptional - I enjoyed my stay at LA Casa sul Blue Albergo Diffuso. Lugo welcome me and escorted me to my room. The room had a beautiful view of the Sea and the Pisciotta Marina. I couldn't have asked for a better room. Breakfast was great plenty of food to eat along with juices, and coffee. Pisciotta is a beautiful town with very kind people. The restaurant I ate were great. I would suggest if you are ever in Pisciotta, Italy and are looking for a place to spend a few days La Casa sul Blu Albergo Diffuso is located in city center and a great place to stay N/A

- Billie-mo (10/5): A wholesome and peaceful slice of a sweet tradition Italian village - we loved everything. we were so pleasantly surprised, La Casa sul Blu is such good value for money, it’s in the most interesting old building, we loved the warm welcome and the gentleman that helped us carry our bags from main square where we met, the breakfast is served by his sweet mother, it was just simply divine and set us up for the day, we were kindly upgraded to a nicer room as it was available which we really appreciated, the rooms were silent at night and the balcony view was outstanding, the building was beautiful, the village so sweet, I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wholesome Italian getaway. nothing
- Katrin (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place. Thank you for all.
- Yoswog (9/5): We absolutely loved our stay here, due to the lovely personalities of the staff, and the character. - The breakfast was good by Italian standards, and being able to take a tray to the garden was a very nice way to start the day. Marcela who did most to look after us was simply wonderful! Some of the steps were a bit poorly lit at night, and as the steps are quite high and uneven, a little bit dangerous.
- Elina (10/5): A pleasant surprise - Didn't know much about Pisciotta and arriving at La Casa sul Blu was an amazing pleasant surprise. It's an old mill, beautifully restored, charming with lots of history. The rooms have a beautiful view over the mountain, especially for the sunset. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and even made sure I got a vegan breakfast.
- Andreas (10/5): Best possible stay in Pisciotta! - This was the perfect stay for us, as we attended a wedding in the middle of the fantastic town of Pisciotta. The hotel is very central, the room was spacious & clean, air conditioning worked like a charm, we slept like logs on the comfortable bed and the view from the balcony was amazing. They even give you access to a small garden with lemon trees where you can enjoy a coffee or two. The host was so nice and made our stay perfect. Walking to the piazza was 1 min, the beach was maybe 10 mins downhill. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy, romantic and accessible stay in this beautiful city!
- Travis B. (10/5): Delightful place - This was really just easy and great. The main building is a very nice example of typical architecture, tastefully renovated. Room likewise. They arranged a taxi from the train station and one for the return. Especially given the indirect roads and streets in the town, they made getting there and getting in simple.
Luigi and his parents run the place and are very gracious and always accessible. Breakfast was delicious. Their recommendations for where to eat/what to do were spot on. There are two adjacent gardens that are beautiful.
Pisciotta is a special place and staying here definitely adds to that.
