• David (10/5): Far East Plaza - Check in & out was very easy. The residence was spacious and had all the mod cons we needed. The residence was very well located on the corner of Orchard Road & Scott’s Road the heart of the shopping district. It is also located within walking distance of Orchard MRT.

• Mimma (8/5): - Location of this property is amazing, so close to Orchard Rd and all it has to offer. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, but where upgraded to a 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. Loads of space for all the family, kitchen and dining facilities meant we could have our own breakfasts.

• Joe (8/5): - The 3 bedroom family apartment is very spacious and includes two bathrooms and a kitchen which was great. It's location is excellent with 5 levels of shops below, including a variety of cheap places to eat, a 711 store, KFC, Dunkin Donuts. There is a also supermarket close-by and Orchard Rd and the ION Centre are less than a 5 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and most helpful. On the not so good side, the hotel decor is a little dated. The kitchen bench had many ants every day. We were unable to cook properly in the kitchen as there was no fry pan or wok, just pots suitable for boiling things. Overall we felt the hotel was value for money.

The building is definitely dated and a bit tired (especially bathrooms) but honestly it cannot be beat in terms of value for money due to it’s location & space. We have a toddler and the playground, pool, living space, and having laundry & cooking facilities were fantastic for our week in Singapore. Easy access to the local shopping and food of Orchard Rd, and also easy access to all the public transport to everywhere else in Singapore.

• Maria (10/5): - The location is excellent, everything is walking distance, shopping, mrt, restaurants and having a mall connected to the property made it easier to grab a bite even with bad weather. You do not need to go out of the building. The building is older but very clean. Susana was outstanding and provided tips on where to go. Awesome service. The only thing is there is no exhaust in the bathroom although there is a window that is slightly opened.

• Nancy (10/5): Spacious and comfortable stay - We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Far East Plaza. We were travelling as a big family group with 4 adults and 3 children. The apartments are very spacious so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. I noticed when we booked a lot of reviews mentioned ants. I was apprehensive but when we arrived my brother (who we were visiting) mentioned to be careful to never leave food out as Singapore ants are very very good at finding food! Apparently it’s a problem when staying in Singapore and not a problem at Far East Plaza. Overall, we loved the location of the apartment as it’s right in the centre of Orchard. It’s very easily accessible to numerous food courts so you’ll never go hungry.
• Jodie (10/5): Wonderful Family Stay - These apartments are perfect for a family stay. Located close to Orchard Road and other shopping areas (the residences are located adjoining a shopping mall which has some great eateries and shops) the apartment we had allocated to us was lovely. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom property which was enormous, well appointed with full kitchen, lounge area and two bathrooms, all of which were very clean. You do need to keep in mind these are serviced residences, so they are not serviced daily nor come with the usual restock of toiletries and the like. However we found the servicing more than adequate and the domestic staff very helpful when we requested items such as additional tea towels. I had read reviews that some of the apartments required an update, but I feel this is based on personal taste. We were very hapy with our accommodation. The office staff were delightful and helpful in recommending places to shop and dine, and activities to do. They extended our checkout time on the last day until quite late knowing we had an evening flight. We would highly recommend Far East for many reasons. It may not suit some as it's not hotel accommodation, but if you are seeking a larger space, self-catering (including washing facilities which was a definite bonus in the warm weather) plentiful wifi (important with teens) and ideal location, then this is perfect!!

They were very considerate as I was travelling with my parents and they upgraded my room from 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment at the same cost. Location is the biggest advantage. You are near to all forms of public transports. You will love the night life. In all you get the best service for the amount you pay. The only thing missing is a good gym.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Family Unit close to Orchard Road - My family stayed in the Far East Plaza Residence for our first overseas holiday and we all really enjoyed it. The renovated two bedroom unit was well appointed, clean and surprisingly quiet with a great pool for kids. All located in Scotts Rd just off the famous Orchard Rd. The building is looking a bit old but the rooms are being renovated and everything worked fine. Great air con in every room.
• Lawrence G (8/5): Family Holiday Singapore - We found the apartments we rented for 10 days clean and comfortable for a family holiday. It was well located with very good supermarket close by and Orchard MRT & buses either just outside or a short walk. Facilities enabled us to cook a few meals - great to eat in when family didn't want to eat out. Staff very friendly and helpful. The reception area is at the rear of the building near the car park so some of our drivers had some difficulty finding it to pick us up - be very clear when you book you car or get the local (security) staff do it for you. I'd stay there again.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Very Central - We were greeted and welcomed well. Our rooms were ready and aircon going after our long trip. The pool was the highlight. 7am-10pm are great hours for the warm humid climate, and always attended. The decor is dated but comfortable and great for families. Kitchen was adequate for simple cooking and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Close to all the city attractions meant we could walk to many amazing restaurants and retails outlets. Supermarket in Scotts Square meant we were moments from picking up any necessary items.
• Jimmy Lim (10/5): Far East Apartment in Singapore - Hotel is in good location near Orchard Road. Food court conveniently located right on the first floor. The lobby security personnel were helpful and friendly. They greet you and you feel welcomed. Room was comfortable and beds were clean. Appliances were clean and in good condition. Air conditioning unit was powerful in the rooms and hall. Quiet and private. Worth the money and would stay there anytime.

The room was very small (2 bedroom unit)- paint peeling from ceilings, smelt musty, very old decor. Quite a few thing not working well- but excellent response from management. E.g. Cloths washer didnt work- replaced in about 10min! Area is central- however shops under building a bit on the seedy side.

• Victoria (10/5): Fabulous location, staff and facilities - We booked a 2 bed appartment for 9 days, we arrived a little early but had the warmest greeting from Suzanne and the security team. We were checked in quickly and shown to our appartment. The appartment was very spacious and imacculately clean. A little welcome basket was left which was a nice unexpected surprise. You also got use of a handy phone for the duration of your stay which gave you data and free local calls which was amazing as you could call a cab or get directions. The appartment is located on the top of the Far East plaza shopping mall, next door to the Hyatt, and a very short walk to Orchard Road and the ION centre. I can safely say the location is second to none, and a fabulous place to base yourself to get easy access to the MRT and therefore the rest of the island. We had a beautiful view from the balcony out over the skyline, and we could keep an eye on the swimming pool. The facilities that the appartment offered were excellent, gym, squash, tennis, swimming pool etc. The pool opening hours were excellent, the staff were polite, and the pool itself had a wonderful outlook. It was lovely swimming up and down taking in the skyline. Overall I would struggle to find any fault with the appartment or staff and my only suggestion for any improvement would be to put a map on hotels.com of how to access the hotel through the plaza as this was a little confusing upon our arrival (however thank you to Suzanne as after a quick call we were given directions.)
• Verified traveler (6/5): Not to our expectations - Location is great and many choices of food but unit Apartment has many things to be complaints (tv channels not working, smoke detectors suddenly activated with no reasons and happened twice during our stays,smelly bed sheets,old furnitures and sofa cover has many dirty stains,cooking stove not well function,cleaning service only came every two days). Above all,management hospitality is good and nice people. Most probably not going to return to this Residence for my future visit (unless they offer big discount rate)

We were upgraded to a corner superior suite which was a bonus. Kitchen and laundry facilities in the room were very handy. • Mark (8/5): Convenient location. - Serviced apartments are a short walk to Orchard road. Staff are friendly with the apartment cleaned every 2 days. Our apartment was comfortable and spacious, however, when repairs and maintenance have been done previously, the level of workmanship could have been better done. The apartment is above a shopping complex with easy access to the Main Street via the shopping complex. The building has it’s own pool and a splash pool for youngsters, along with a well equipped gym and snooker room. Overall we enjoyed our 2 week stay.
• Laurie (10/5): Great hotel Great Location - We were upgraded to a two bathroom suite and a large corner apartment , thank you management. The apartment was always keep very clean by housekeeping and the staff in the complex were extremely friendly. The location of the apartments are the best in Singapore, we have been to Singapore 6 times and Orchard road/ Scotts road is definitely the prime position . Orchard MRT is 300 meters away and all the shops are within walking distance.
• Martin (8/5): CONVENIENCE !!!!! - Reasonable rate for a start. Very central to major shopping outlets. When the weather was bad, we could still browse around in Far East Shopping Centre without having to go out in the open - it was joined to the serviced appts. The underground link at Tangs, which is only a very short walk away, less than 100 metres, was fantastic and it connected so many shopping precincts and eateries.
• Jim (10/5): Singapore Holiday - Excellent venue to stay at for holiday. Very good service and facilities great. Staff very good and always ready to assist and offers offers of what to do and where to go in Singapore. Cleaninig and service to room was excellemt. Must mention in particular the manager Rener Kay and also his asstant who gave us a very good intro into Singapore when we arrived, and also upgraded us to the 18th floor which of course had better views and more space. Very good deals and also very close to Orchard rd and transport to all parts of Singapore for sight seeing shopping and of course all the many different places to dine.

Sweeping views and just the ultimate location. Singapores best kept secret, we loved every minute of our two week stay.

We had 15 family members staying at he apartments. we had all booked 2 bedroom apartments and were all upgraded to 3 bedroom aparts. Very spacious, we had an updated kitchen but none of the other rooms did. Overall the stay was good, location to food, shopping and transport was fantastic. The pool and gym look very old with missing tiles in the pool and no shade, most of the outdoor chairs and lounges were broken. Could not fit more than 3 people in the gym at any one time. Lobby and garden area seem underutilized, would have been great to have a cafe or coffee bar in the lobby to have in the garden. Only 15 minute taxi to Santosa Island.

• Nicole (10/5): Central location with lots of space for a family - The hotel was situated with walking distance to the Orchard MRT, a FairPrice grocery store, and Shaw cinemas (all on Scotts Road). Directly outside the apartments were a taxi stand and bus stop. Spacious two bedrooms and kitchen area made it really easy to live with a family of four for seven nights. Staff were only too happy to recommend food places (Italian and prata just downstairs!) and places to visit. Were given a mobile phone for internet and ticket purchasing while staying here. Kids loved swimming in the pool every day. Could not have been happier with location and size of place with the price we paid.
• Bernard (8/5): Great location - Hotel is abit old now and needs some good refurbishment but otherwise clean. Location is the best right near orchard rd. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment which was a very nice surprise and the welcome pack in room was greatly appreciated after arriving at 1am. The phone with free calls and data was also great for all the special deals around Singapore. Staff and security were always friendly and willing to help. We had a great time.

Location is right inbthe center of the orchard shopping center, restaurants and MRT station. Very conviennce to everything.

• EJM (6/5): Good location - Hotel was in a great location, just a short walk to Orchard Road. The shopping centre underneath was very handy particularly with the 7/11 and numerous restaurants. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment which was lovely. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. The airconditioning worked very well, as did the washing machine/dryer. The pool was nice and most of the time we had it to ourselves. The downsides were that the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable with a rock hard mattress. The housekeeping was not great - when we arrived we noticed a packet of tissues under the chair in the living room and over the two weeks we were there it did not move which made us wonder about how thoroughly the rooms were being cleaned. Also there was a considerable amount of dust on top of the dresser in the living room and the showers weren't cleaned properly during our stay. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay.

Large 3 bedroom unit which was well equipped and very spacious. A free mobile was provided for our stay and this gave us free access to the Internet and tourist information. Excellent family accommodation with good kitchen if you want to selt cater-- a good supermarket is easily accessed in a neighbouring plaza.

There is a great kitchen, so you don't have to go out for dinner everyday. There was a washing machine and dryer, so no problems with the washing. Will stay there again when I go back to Singapore

• Kong-Archer (4/5): Pictures on Internet can be deceiving - Arriving at past midnight, you will expect to check into a nice apartment and not walk yourself into a shock. The apartment assigned to us (4 Adults) on the 13 floor. It was absolutely filthy. The carpet was stain. The shower rail falls off if not for the plaster tape holding it together. Hairs left on the dining table. The paint on the walls was a disaster. Bathrooms were small. There are no place in the second shower to put your things. The overall size for a two bedroom is laughable and a total shame. We immediately went out and found another hotel and wanted to check out but they contacted the management and asked that a second chance to given to them to right the situation. They transferred us to another unit on the 8 floor. It was better than the one when we arrived but still a far cry from what we have been shown on the Internet. The only thing that makes up for our 8 nights stay is the food and shopping in Singapore. After this experience we will booked two adjoining rooms in a good hotel in Orchard Road.

• Juliet (8/5): Comfortable accomodation in a great location - This serviced apartment was perfect for our needs as a family of 3 adults and 2 kids. We had plenty of room and it met all of our needs comfortably. The only negative was there was a nest of pigeons outside the kitchen window. The location was perfect - 5 minutes to MRT, shopping all around and food galore. We will definitely put it on the top of our list for our next visit to Singapore.
• Stuart (10/5): A pleasant surprise in a hidden gem! - From the moment we arrived, we felt like our 'base' was home! The facilities were exceptional - the pool was incredibly clean and we loved the late opening hours. We were greeted by a welcome pack of food supplies which were much needed. We used the gym also and valued the quiet areas on level 7. The size of the apartment meant we could spread out and when we needed to rest, the noise from the TV didn't interfere - which was really helpful. Staff were helpful and when we needed the bathroom cleaned due to sickness - they came within 5 minutes. Concierge were attentive and conscientious regarding security. Whilst there are obvious signs of wear and tear in certain areas - it did not detract from the overall benefits. We would stay there again and definitely recommend especially for families. We needed cooking and laundry facilities and we were surprised to find an umbrella also. We also appreciated the fact we were so close to grocery and chemist supplies. Overall impressed and we thank all those concerned.

All that we requested was responded to quickly, efficiently and always with a smile. The apartment was well appointed and perfect for our family of 4 to spread out and relax when not sightseeing. The hotel facilities were many, varied and well maintained. The location is perfect to access all transport options to sight see or for the shopping and dining experiences of Orchard Rd.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Close to the best shopping in Singapore - The hotel offered good value for the daily rate - it was clean, very spacious, close to shopping and central to most activities in Singapore. The hotel could use a refurb - while it was clean, it was very tired looking.

• Susan (8/5): A very comfortable 10 night stay - My adult daughter and I had a wonderful 10 night stay at Far East Plaza Residences in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment which was spacious and clean but in need of renovation. The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine was very useful. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen and the air conditioning worked well throughout. The shower was over the bath in the master bathroom, which I found a little difficult, however the water was always hot and the pressure strong and even. The towels were thick and fluffy. The complimentary WIFI worked well for the most part, however on the one day when we could not connect, a technician arrived promptly and fixed it within minutes. We found the location to be excellent with just a 5 minute walk to Orchard MRT station and Orchard Road shopping and food. The staff, without exception, was cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and assistance was provided promptly.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Good service but bad room condition - Good staff service but the room condition was very old. Shower curtain rail fell a couple of times (though it was rectified quickly and eventually by the responsive maintenance staff) and the shower tap spouted yellowish dirty water for a while. Overall room was also very old with strong musty smell from kitchen. Carpet also looks very dirty. Some dusts here and there. Certainly needs a renovation upgrade.
• quen131 (8/5): it was a place to sleep - the room was sort of clean , it obviously has rising damp issue overdue for a make over , the tennis court and squash court could be used unless you bought your own ball and bat
• Warren (10/5): Nice Hotel close to the MRT and Orchard Rd - Far East Plaza Residences is a home away from home. It was very clean and conveniently close to the MRT and Orchard Rd shops. The staff went out of their way for us, especially when they realised our flight back home was well after check out, and we had 2 kids, we were told to stay until it was time to go, even though they had someone using our room soon after we had to leave. We were made very comfortable by all the staff, especially the guest executives and the cleaning staff. Highly recommend!

• Lynne (8/5): Nice & comfortable accommodation, friendly staff - My two daughters aged 14 & 16 nearly 17, and I stayed at Far East Plaza Apartments from 28/9/15 to 5/10/15. What helpful, friendly and lovely staff they have there. Suzana in particular helped us feel at ease as we had never been to Singapore before. She suggested where to go and eat cheap and she was so lovely my eldest daughter now has Suzana as a facebook friend (what a lovely Malaysian lady she is!). We decided on Far East Plaza Apartments mainly because with three females staying in Singapore we really needed the space which most of the hotels didn't offer have unless we got two rooms or a roll out bed. Our deluxe apartment had 60 sq metres of space (2 queen size beds) so it was just what we needed. It also has a huge pool on the 7th floor which the girls enjoyed.
