• Yolanda (10/5): The best - Wow wow wow!! This place exceeded our expectations! The staff is friendly and helped us on eateries to try. Location is excellent and everything you can think of is in the apartment! It also has a lovely beach and we enjoyed the kayaking. Thank you for a memorable stay!
• Justin (10/5): - This was the most amazing place located on one of the most beautiful beaches. The staff were so friendly, nice, and helpful. The rooms were spectacular, spacious, and clean. It had a nice kitchen and deck that overlooked the ocean. I could go to sleep at night listening to the waves. It felt so safe too with a gate that protected our car and next to a police station. It was walking distance to the nearby grocery store and restaurants. I really had amazing memories here! Thank you!!
• JEAN PAUL (2/5): INCONCEVABLE - La veille de notre arrivee l'établissement a annulé notre reservation. Nous étions à Praslin, et nous avons du gérer car plus de logement pour la dernière semaine. A ce jour notre acompte n'est pas remboursé, établissement ne répondant ni aux appels Whatsap, téléphone, sms. Hotels.com informé, mais je crains que nous ne perdions nos 600 €. Cet établissement me porte tort, mais de toute évidence, il porte tort à Hotels.com par qui nous sommes passés. 15 jours avant notre séjour, j'avais également tenté de joindre les Pieds dans l'Eau, sans succès, déjà pas de réponses aux mails. Il avait falu que je passe par Hotels.com. A déconseiller formellement

• GLADYS (8/5): - We stayed in the main building and it was excellent being on the beach. Rooms are super huge but only the bedroom had AC. Went in February, was super hot. The ability to cook your own food if needed was fantastic. Will stay again
• Davide (8/5): - + Les chambre sont spacieuses, le petit déjeune avec vue sur la mer et le restaurant. - La plage est très belle mais dommage que les pécheurs décharge leurs poissons devant l’hôtel, ce qui est désagréable surtout l'odeur et ensuite les mouches....
• Tommy la (8/5): Very nice! - We got an apartment in the annex just across the road from the beach. It's quite new and everything works. There was a construction site next to it, but we weren't bothered by the noise. The breakfast was very nice, and the service was exceptional. The beach is calm and clean. Everything is within walking distance: beach, restaurants, supermarkets, fish store, vegetable market and some stores.
• alain (10/5): Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ! - L'appartement pour 6 personnes était très propre et agréable. Il est bien situé côté mer (les arbres cachent un peu toutefois) et fonctionnel. Le personnel parle français et est très serviable (recherche d'un véhicule de location pour nous, panier déjeuner pour les départ très tôt etc...). L'établissement donne directement sur la plage de Anse Royale. C'est un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Seul bémol le wifi est un peu faible.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Neue Apartments neu und sehr gut ausgestattet. Gutes WLAN (auch am Strand). Der Strand war traumhaft und es war immer eine Liege frei. Die Take-Away Pizza war auch ganz lecker. Leider war die Apartmentanlage ca. 250m vom Restaurant entfernt und in einer Seitenstraße - kein Strandblick. Außerdem war das Frühstück weder abwechslungsreich, noch besonders lecker (kleiner Obstteller, Eigericht - welches immer einen fischigen Geschmack hatte, Toast und Butter).

• astrid sofia (6/5): Don't expect what you see on the pictures - Through this site it seems like you can only book apartments- and they are not facing the ocean, but a parking lot and situated away from the hotel and on the other site of the road. Skuffende var det, at have et indtryk af at vi skulle bo med fødderne nærmest i vandet, og så få en lejlighed på den anden side af vejen op ad en lille grusvej, og med et igangværende byggeri foran. Lejlighederne (8 styk) er fine, men er ikke placeret som billederne og tildels teksten giver indtryk af.
• Ian (10/5): Le Pieds Dan l'eau - Lovely stay on the south east of Seychelles. The hotel is set right on the beach of Anse Royale. Lovely beach and nice calm water for swimming. Beautiful apartment with plenty of space. Great air conditioning in the main living area and bedroom. The view of the beach is obstructed by large trees for most of the rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite a busy area with locals as opposite the Hospital and University which gives it a more local flavour . People were very friendly.
• May-Hege (10/5): Ferie i paradis - Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold med våre to barn og følte oss hjemme her. Veldig hyggelig hotell personale og store romslige leiligheter med alt man trenger av utstyr og fint kjøkken. Kajakker og snorkleutstyr til gratis utlån. Sol, bad og vakker natur og i tillegg en strand du nesten får ha for deg selv. Hva mer kan man ønske seg?

• MARIE THERESE (8/5): Déçu - Appartement situé à 100 m de l’hôtel, pas en bordure de mer. Le logement était très bien, manquait un sèche cheveux. La vue sur des baraquements pas très cool. Ne correspond pas au descriptif sur Hotels.com. Le logement est situé derrière une station essence, ce qui occasionne beaucoup de bruit.
• Per (10/5): - Hotellet ligger bogstaveligt lige ned til en af de bedste badestrande på Mahé, og vi havde den bedste lejlighed, Farquhar, med stor terrasse vendt mod havet. Servicen er helt i top med rengøring hver dag, og værtinden, Marie-Noelle, var utrolig sød og opmærksom på vores ønsker. Vi ønskede slet ikke at rejse hjem efter 11 dage og kommer gerne igen. Fra restauranten er der en betagende udsigt mellem de svagende palmer ud over det turkise hav. Selve stranden er lang og velegnet til at gå på. En dag kom en stor skildpadde op og lagde æg. Vandet var utroligt klart og måske 34 grader varmt. Lige udenfor hotellet ligger der flere butikker og supermarkeder, et rigtigt marked, hospital, posthus, biludlejning, alt hvad man har brug for inden for få skridt. Vi lejede bil en enkelt dag og nåede øen rundt med tid til at besøge de bedste strande og hovedstaden, Victoria. Vi følte os trygge døgnet rundt.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay. - We had a pleasant 7 nights stay at Pied dans l´eau. Very friendly staff and good food. We stayed in the main building and had excellent view from the balcony. Not too much to do in the neighbourhhood, but the staff was helpful in arranging for day trips. Snorkling around in the area inside the island was good with plenty of fish, but very strong currents. Seemed to be best at falling tide. The reefs we saw was unfortunately dead. Be also aware of the wind direction. Strong wind from south east hits the beach is not ideal for bathing. Better then to take the bus over to the west coast. All in all a relaxing and enjoyable Holliday.

• Patrick (8/5): Très bon hôtel - Très bon hôtel avec un accueil chaleureux et un personnel à l’écoute et disponible Idéalement placé en bord l’anse royale , plage magnifique . Petit déjeuner copieux et bon restaurant qui reste dans les prix pratiqués sur l’île. Son emplacement permet de pouvoir visiter l’île du nord au sud sans difficulté . Seul petit bémol , il n’y a pas grand chose à proximité de l’établissement et le soir c’est un peu triste . Sinon je recommande !
• he (8/5): Tolles Ambiente - Nette Unterkunft für Selbstversorger. Wir waren mit dem Service und der Unterkunft voll zufrieden. Es ist halt kein Europa, somit gibt es die ein oder andere kleine verbesserungspunkte noch, aber nichts der Rede wert.

• John (8/5): Great apartment close to the beach - We booked a two bed family apartment "beachside", so were initially quite disappointed to find this was located down a lane about a 100 yards from the sea (..not to cause alarm, the main hotel is on the sea). BUT...the apartment was newish, spacious and clean; had every conceivable extra provided; had great wifi; and was located in lovely gardens. Anse Royale is a bustling little community with a few shops, well placed to tour the south of Mahe (hire car is recommended). The beach is great and, compared to Beau Vallon, virtually deserted!
• Line Lyng (10/5): Super lækkert sted i perfekte omgivelser. - Vi havde det skønneste ophold på hotellet. Vi boede i de nye lejligheder, der er bygget tæt på selve hotellet og alt var lækkert og nyt med en dejlige terrasse foran huset. Vi nød hvert et sekund der og der var også en hyggelig lille restaurant på hotellet, hvor vi fik vores morgenmad og spiste et par gange til bl.a. Stor søndagsbuffet og aftensmad. Ejeren, Marie-Noelle, er meget flink og hjælpsom ligesom resten af personalet. De hjalp os med at få arrangeret en dagstur med et lokalt turistbureau. Vi ville ønske vi kunne være blevet i endnu længere tid, og håber bestemt at komme tilbage engang i nær fremtid. Stranden er også super lækker, man skal bare gå lidt hen mod de store sten, så kan man snorkle direkte fra stranden og se en masse smukke fisk. Ret fantastisk.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is located directly at the beach in a nice small Town with also locals living there. The atmosphere is relaxing and the beach is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in the apartment in the ground floor, the apt all in all was very nice, but the living room could usw some improvement: the couch was not very comfortable. Staff was very nice, breakfast was good! Recommended for a stay in mahe :) Tip: rent a Car (we used Maki Car which was great)
• Frauke und Matthias (10/5): Schönes kleines Hotel mit toller Lage - An einem der schönsten Strände! Schnorcheln war auch wunderbar. Zimmer riesengross, genau wie der Balkon! Die beiden Besitzer sind wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Im Service gibt es manchmal kleinere Schwierigkeiten, über die man jedoch hinwegsehen kann. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
• Verified traveler (10/5): A wonderful stay - Marie-Noelle and her team made us feel at home on this wonderful island. Annex is well furnished - everything new, with v comfy matresses and bedsheets and a great kitchen. The apt was cleaned everyday thoroughly; I loved it. Breakfast was yummy, esp. the porridge and the papaya jam. We ate much more than at home. The live music Saturday for dinner was just fab. And the entire team was so willing to help with any question. We would be v happy to cone back.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely family-run hotel - We stayed 8 nights in Pied dans L’eau as a Family with two small kids and were very happy with our stay. Lovely location, nice garden for kids to play, good restaurant and very friendly staff. We would certainly stay there again.
• Jennifer (10/5): A hidden gem - Found this place through reviews on another website. So glad I trusted their reviews. Our corner sea facing one bedroom apartment was very large, clean, and property was right on beach. Some trees protect from being fully exposed to beach goers. Patio provided perfect place to have a few drinks and listen to the ocean when the kids fell asleep. The on-site restaurant was delicious, including morning breakfast (included with room). This is in a local place so does not have a touristy vibe. We liked that. The beach is a good beach for kids with coral and rocks further away from coastline so less likely to step on urchins. Location is perfect for exploring south Mahe. After seeing rest of island I am convinced this is the best place for value on island if you like smaller, non-touristy experiences. Also makes me feel good that my money helps this company protect local dolphin populations and other conservation projects.

• Stephanie (10/5): Great place, fabulous setting. - Absolutely loved this appart/hotel. Warm welcome, with a fruit juice and smile. The room (Aldabra) was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. You could walk straight onto the beach 10m away. Fabulous beach that goes on for miles and even on a Sunday, when lots of locals head there, it is fairly quiet. The food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for the Seychelles, where eating out is very expensive. We went on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed the live music entertainment. Local food shops across the food, and fresh fruit, fish and vegetables 100m away meant self catering was easy. The room was serviced every day and left spotless. I would definitely recommend Peids dans l'eau.

• Ronda (8/5): Stay here. You won't regret it. - The pictures of this hotel don't do it justice. It is really lovely, and right on the beach. Our room was on the first floor, so we could walk right out our patio door onto the beach. Amazing view. The beach is lovely and the water is totally clear here. There were no peddlers on the beach trying to sell anything. The room was very spacious and kid-friendly, the beds comfortable. There was an air conditioner in the bedroom, but not one in the living area, which is the only thing I would change. There is a ceiling fan, so it didn't get too warm. We loved the staff- they are incredibly nice and helpful. We rented a car at the airport and they gave us directions to the hotel, which wasn't hard to find. The roads are very narrow and steep, so in retrospect, we probably would not have rented a car had we known how stressful the driving was. The restaurant attached served great food and we found the prices reasonable. We enjoyed everything we tried- especially the famous banana jam. I cooked one night in our room with food purchased right across the street. We didn't find anything overly expensive, except the cab rates to get to the hotel. Really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend this hotel.
• Sia (8/5): Tranquility... - Our stay was amazing. The staff were very hepful, keeping the room clean and supporting us with our requests. They were discreet. The rooms were spacious and airy. The internet was not so good, so it may be improved. Loved the quiet nights, sitting under the stars on the beach or on the terrace. very, very secure. It was a restful time. Should I visit Mahe again, I would certainly stay there. The tiger prawns were my favorite meal...
• Shirley (10/5): The Best! - When we walked into our room for the first time, we were overwhelmed with the ambiance and the views of the ocean. The beach was right outside our back donor, so we started the day by swimming, kayaking, and in the evening by walking on the beach. Be sure not to miss their Sunday Buffet. The staff was helpful, and fun.
• marie (2/5): Hotel et endroit à éviter , mobilier vétuste.., - N'y aller pas vous serrez déçu , la note que donne expedia sur cet hotel est faussè, le cadre est trop bruyant sono des locaux tout l'après midi sur les plages pendant le week end , les chambres communiqué par les balcons donc aucune intimité . Le mobilier est vieux ruoillé, les odeurs des effluves qui remontent dans la salle de bain surtout dans la chambre du milieu situé au 1er étage . Le week end il y a beaucoup de monde sur la plage car elle n'est pas privée et le quartier n'est pas rassurant . Bref : à éviter . Si vous avez d'autre possibilité allez ailleurs .

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Wonderful little place right on a gorgeous beach with great snorkeling and swimming. A good beach for kids with calm water. We stayed in the "Farquar" apartment and it was more spacious than expected. Very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. If you are looking for a smaller self catering accommodation rather than a large resort, this is a great choice. Small shops with groceries right across the street. The street is a bit noisy but it didn't overly bother us. As others have said it gives you some taste of the local culture. We only ate breakfast at the restaurant, which was delicious but pricey as all meals were in the Seychelles. Our only complaint about the room was poor water pressure and temperature control in the shower, but it was a minor issue and did not affect our experience. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned everyday. Very comfortable to come home to after a long day in the sun.
• Joni (10/5): Great way to finish your honeymoon - The hotel is in great location, the apartments are big, clean and well equipped, the staff is very nice and the owner is wonderful. the only thing I can think of that the internet is very very slow (if this is important to you). In overall a great stay for great price.
