- J5687VMkens (10/5): Wing Song Beachfront Resort is the best in Old Orchard Beach! - The Wind Song Resort is owned and operated by Alouette Beach Resort, so it’s no surprise that the staff is consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful. The best units are #3 (king bed) and #4 (same layout with a queen) on the ground level, along with units #9 and #10 on the second floor. These are the true beachfront units—the ones with the unbeatable, panoramic views. We stayed in Unit 3 and enjoyed an unobstructed, million‑dollar view of the beach. Whether sitting at the dining table or relaxing in bed, the scenery was always spectacular and constantly changing. Beach access is only about 10 feet from the door, making it effortless to bring out our lawn chairs and sun tent for the day. Housekeeping comes by every morning and is thorough, attentive, and reliable. The room itself is small but well equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. The compact kitchen includes a hot plate, microwave, and all the utensils and cookware needed to prepare simple meals. The bathroom is small but perfectly adequate for the two of us. We’ve stayed in other Alouette Beach Resort units before, but after this wonderful four‑night stay in Unit 3, we’re completely sold on returning to Wind Song again and again for the perfect beach vacation. - alice (5/5): It was just ok - Nice staff, nice location My sliding glass door did not have a lock on it. My room needed to be changed. In the middle of the night, my lights went out. I was told I could have complementary breakfast in the morning by the front staff, and when I went for it. They said they don’t do it on weekends. I paid $130 for the room so it was disappointing.

- Wayne (6/5): Very good place, clean, friendly staff, price ok. Could use some updating. - The room (I think it was called a luxury room) was spacious and clean. There were not many choices for our dog staying with us off season - the other room was way too small and after many years the local Ramada no longer takes pets - and so while the luxury one was more expensive they gave us a reasonable price break. Also being very near the beach and off-season it was where we could take the dog out for evening and morning walk. The sofa (for watching tv) could have been more comfortable but that's not what we were there for. The main problem was the soft mattress. Might have been fine for many guests, but one of us needs a firm mattress for our back. Most modern hotels have firmer mattresses. A bad backache the whole next day - and we decided not to stay the second night. We did not expect a refund and we were not offered one. It's the chance you take with many Maine resorts, not unique to this one. Also booking.com did not make it clear the room we reserved was not a pet friendly room. That is on booking.com not the Alouette who did their best to accomodate us.

- Denise (10/5): Great staff, perfect location. Would definitely stay again. - The alouette is located right on the beach, within easy walking distance to the pier. The staff is wonderfully kind and helpful if you have a problem. And there is a fantastic breakfast restaurant on site where you can eat in or take out, that also has a great staff. The bathrooms in the economy room was very small. If you are a larger sized person an upgrade might be desirable. At least during the off season, like when we stayed, upgrades were available.

(For the hotel’s records: I believe the person who helped us was named Caroline.) Facilities were good, sauna was a pleasant surprise, and the view of the sunrise on the beach (easily accessible) is a must-see. Breakfast at the diner was okay. Quick service though.

We have stayed before a few times and were pleased with our room. No place to sit in room. The charge for the room seemed way too much for the room even it being economy.

The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were perfect (rare these days!), room was clean. I had an oceanfront room, which I highly recommend. Has a nice coffee maker so get up and make yourself some coffee and sit and watch the sunrise... Oh, and then visit the restaurant for breakfast, friendly staff and food was great!

- cohnpr802 (10/5): Always a Perfect Stay at Alouette - My wife and I have been coming to Alouette for the past five years, and every stay feels like coming home. The suite is just right — a comfy bedroom, a handy kitchenette, and an amazing view of the beach from the terrace. We love being able to walk right out to the sand every morning for a stroll along the ocean. The location makes it super easy to get to all our favorite restaurants in Old Orchard and nearby towns. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. We’re always sad to leave, but we make sure to book our next stay before we go. Can’t wait to come back!

Newly renovated shower. Very small room, needed to use a space heater to heat the room ( it worked great, but we felt like we shouldn’t leave it unattended).

- 994treeh (4/5): Disappointed, run downed, horrible view, unattractive - Very disappointing. Our room did not look like any photos I saw. It was outdated and needed repairs. Rusty shower rod, old shower head, damaged toilet seat, saggy beds, portable heaters, saggy couch with slipcover and two uncomfortable chairs, broken dresser drawers, no bedroom lamps, and a view surrounded by a parking lot in every direction except for A spec view of the ocean mostly blocked by more apartments, junk along the parking lot, and for being pet friendly, no place to dispose of poppy bag and barely any grass area. Way over priced for what we got. No perk to use restaurant attached unless you stay weekday and it’s not a holiday. It’s a shame because they could be cute cottages if they put some effort into fixing it up. No pictures on wall. No beach feel, we didn’t complain because there were only a couple of pet friendly rooms and the other didn’t seem any better. This was meant to be a three night getaway for my husbands birthday and it was way below expectations.

- Faith (7/5): Quiet Stay - Walk To The Beach - We were able to upgraded to an ocean view room. Although the room was dated, it was large and clean. It also had a small balcony where you could view sunrise. All rooms have easy walking access to the beach and the small town. There were also beach lounge chairs available for use. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room and breakfast wasn't included. There is a small cafe on-site that was open from 7:00-10:00 AM. The breakfast was good, but there wasn't a discount for guests.
- Amber (10/5): Moms birthday celebration - It was a partial ocean view. A staircase was blocking some of the view. Beds were comfortable. The shower is a little small. Kitchen was nice and stocked. The refrigerator was a bigger size. It could hold a lot of food in the fridge and the freezer. The staff was great. The food at the cafe was delicious.
- Hallie (10/5): - Definitely staying again when we visit loved the location, was in walking distance of pier n stores , staff was very nice, enjoyed the cafe, Claudette was our waitress she made sure we always had enough coffee n the food was great. Room was small but nice for two adults.
- Brenner (4/5): - We paid for a beach view, but it was on the side of the building adjacent to the beach. The room looked clean, but wasn't clean if that makes sense. There were a few hairs on the bed. The water smelled musty. The neighbors sounded like crack heads. Overall, 2/10. It's a place to rest your head near the beach. However, the entire beach town is a ghost town. I don't foresee ever returning.

- Josi (8/5): Motel right on the beach - Located right on the beach with parking in front of the units, pet friendly with a small kitchen. Rooms are very dated though. Smart TV so you can watch streaming channels. Bathroom very small. Reasonable prices so can't complain if you want easy access to the beach.
- ronnie (4/5): Not recommended - Front desk was friendly. Clean room. Quiet surrondings at night. Bad value for money. Post labor day stay. Too small. Bathroom tiny - my shoulder touching sink as I sat on toilet. Queen bed needs replacement- too saggy/lumpy. Wifi was terrible. Creaky ceiling can get loud if neighbor above you is fat and heavy footed. Took 4-5 minutes for water to get hot so I could shower.

- 292lacyg (10/5): A MUST for dog families!! - True Hospitality is sadly few and far between these days. It doesn’t take much to make someone feel special in a trip, but Allouette did it and I thank them profusely! My husband and I traveled with our dog and were so pleased with the IMMEDIATE proximity to the beach which is dog friendly All day in the off season. What made our stay special was the spirit of hospitality that we were offered from the moment we called to confirm we had a dog friendly suite, met Fred at the desk, and were afforded the opportunity to use beach chairs to relax all day, steps from our room. The cafe on-site is a huge bonus. We will definitely be back. thank you to the team!

- 809br (4/5): Our first bad review - Sadly, we stayed in the “sister” property, Beach Walk. Opening the door to torn up carpet in front of the door, hole in screen at the bottom, surfaces that had not been cleaned and a dresser with a huge gouge out of the top, and a very well used rumpled carpet that felt questionable, gave us pause at the door. We expected something more like the photo used to depict our room. It sported a new microwave, a barely functional portable double burner, plates for six, cutlery for 2. We washed everything prior to using. There were not instructions verbally or written about housekeeping. We were out early the day after arriving, and no one came in to clean. We went to the office 4 buildings away to get tp, coffee filters, ice, towels and wash clothes. There was one very small towel rack, but no other place to hang up wet towels, no hooks in the bathroom. We put the shakiest kitchen chair in the bathroom and one by the outside door. We investigated the sheets and pillowcase which appeared clean, but the bedspread was questionable. This place either has a lot of rough customers or has not been maintained as even the picture frames on the wall had large gouges. While it was nice to have a place to sit outside, we had to clean it first. With no place to wipe sand off our feet, we were able to get a broom from the office and keep the deck sand free. Cleaning staff we met day 3 were courteous, but too late. Management seemed out of touch with this part of their campus. The location to the beach was good, and we should have questioned the reasonable price.

Staff was courteous, even after what was a long Labor Day weekend (I’m sure). Beach access was excellent. I was within walking distance to the pier and some great restaurants. Many thanks to Fred and the rest of the crew 🌞. Hope to come back next year.
