- James (10/5): Nice to Unplug for a Few Days - I stayed at the cabin with my son for a few days while we went fishing in Talkeetna and drove up to Denali National Park. The cabin was clean and quiet, and we enjoyed the breakfast goodies left for us. It was very clean and was nice be away from electronics for a few days. Very comfortable and we loved it! The only drawback was the mosquitoes, but the cabin had bug spray inside.

- William (10/5): - The cabin we had was beautiful, set in the woods, clean & overlooked a beautiful small lake. It really was perfect! There were only two of us but it also had a loft & a large sofa so 3 or maybe even 4 more people could fit if you had kids. We stayed here because it was close to the airport where we were taking a glacier flight the next day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We loved this place - so peaceful, private and quest. It is a bit away from other necessities and mosquitos are prevalent. But host was great and good left for our breakfast was quite good and more than sufficient.
- Brian (10/5): - Great stay in Talkeetna! The cabin was light and airy. Lots of mosquitoes, but it’s Alaska in July and host had different ways to combat them. Cabin is down a gravel road with only one other next to it so it’s quiet and secluded. Drive to town is relatively quick. Loved the stocked breakfast items!
- Rebecca (10/5): - The Alpaca Cabins are private and secluded, down a long driveway nestled in the woods next to a lake. The setting is gorgeous, and it’s nice to be close to Talkeetna without being in the middle of what can feel like hordes of people in town. Our host was communicative, and the cabin was great. They even left us bagels and muffins for breakfast, as well as coffee and orange juice. A great find!
- Mary (10/5): Nice Stay! - Cute little cabin in a very private location. Excellent instructions on how to find the place and great communication from the owner.
- Sanjeev (10/5): - We stayed there for a night and my family loved the cabin. Amazing location, closely to talkeetna and all the activities. Host was wonderful, detailed oriented, had everything planned, absolutely clean place and loved the location. We are coming back!
- Joshua David Lee (10/5): - This was just a few minutes from the historic downtown area. The host is very accommodating and responsive to messages - we checked in a tad late coming from Denali and she was quick to respond to us, providing us details on what we needed to know. The cabin is a perfect sized place for a quick stay. The sound of nature in the woods with a lake view was perfect. Would highly recommend and stay again!
- Kristine (10/5): - ed and peaceful the property was! Water bottles, orange juice, bagels and muffins with the fixings in the fridge as well as coffee was a nice addition!
- Sheila (10/5): - Alpaca Cabins was fantastic! They were the perfect overnight accommodations for my husband & I. We loved walking around Talkeetna and bringing back dinner and drink to enjoy in our cabin. We even sat out on the porch in the late evening soaking in the sights & sounds while relishing our time in Alaska.
- Marianne (10/5): - SUPER PRIVATE. VERY CLEAN AND STOCKED WITH A FEW BREAKFAST ITEMS. JUST A GREAT EXPERIENCE
- Steve (10/5): Quiet, comfortable cabin near Talkeetna - Alpaca Cabins are located about 6 miles from Talkeetna - less than a 10-minute drive. It is wonderfully situated a few hundred yards on a short gravel road off the main road - very quiet with a view of a lake across the way. The cabin was spotless and a perfect size for the 2 of us. The refrigerator in the kitchen area had muffins, bagels, juice, and water - perfect for a continental breakfast. We had a great relaxing stay at the Alpaca Cabins while in Talkeetna.
- Leanne (10/5): - It was nice to be away from
TV and enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful country setting. My husband especially enjoyed sitting at the picnic table by the little lake.
- Wendy (10/5): - This was an unexpected delight. We were just here on a short overnight passing through. The host is extremely thoughtful in the way the cabin is organized and stocked with various coffees, teas and continental style breakfast items. There was an additional bed in an "at your own risk" loft you could use via ladder. This was handy for us, as we were 3 adults. I would definitely try to book this again if I came through Talkeetna and highly recommend. There are other features like a little window you might see northern lights out of if you are lucky, a lake and wilderness perhaps you could spot wildlife at. Peaceful, clean, perfect.
- Lisa (10/5): Alaskan dream - This was the sweetest cabin on a gorgeous lake. We loved it here so much! The owners left us breakfast in the fridge and flannel on the bed. It was warm and comfy and better than any hotel we visited on our trip!

Really enjoyed our short time here and would definitely come back if in the area.

- michael (10/5): Comfortable safe place - Very amazing cabin, clean and the host very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was wonderful to have a full kitchen. The bed was quite comfortable. An ironing board & iron were the only things I would say you could add.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This cabin was amazing. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommed it.
- mary (8/5): Location, location - The cabin was as described. It was small but great for the 2 of us. There was coffee, tea, bagels, and muffins in the cabin. Our name was on the door so we went in. Never met owners. The loft accessed by rungs nailed to the wall and there was no railing. Not good for very young children. We ate breakfast on the porch hoping to see moose that were in the area. We did watch ducks. Pond was very pretty. The cabins are off the road and a few miles to the downtown, which was crowded with tours. We liked the peace and quiet.
- Donna (10/5): Wonderful experience! - Alaska Alpaca Inn is a charming, peaceful place on a small lake close to Talkeetna. Everything was perfect. The owner, Tina, was gracious and on the last day we had a chance to visit with her for a while.
Talkeetna is a cute little town with some good restaurants and friendly people.
There is a very nice park for hiking and birding just outside the town.
You won’t regret your stay there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Serene - Wonderful, great selection for breakfast, peaceful
- Julie (10/5): - Great cabin!
- James (8/5): Great Rustic Setting - Great Outdoors
Convenient Accommodations
- Matthew (10/5): - Beautiful, out of the way, very quiet, overlooking a nice private little lake with a resident loon. There are only two cabins. We had neighbors the second night who came late and left early. We never saw them and barely heard them arrive. The rest of our stay, the place was all ours. We could have run around naked and no one would have known. (We didn't.) Nice little fire pit to sit around on a cool evening. Not 'luxury accommodations' but entirely comfortable. We WILL be back.
- Penny (10/5): Little piece of paradise. - We booked Alpaca cabins for a last minute stop on the last night of a 2 week vacation. It was exactly as described and the perfect overnight. The cabin was clean, cozy, well stocked, and quiet. Tina was very welcoming and even called us to let us know the mama moose and calves were near so we wouldn't miss seeing them. Would definitely recommend.
